Nichols Flamel
Long ago was born a mystic named Flamel
A “Master Alchemist”, of this we can be sure
He found a way to cheat death’s gate to hell
With “The Elixir of life” immortality secured
It’s said Flamel still walks the Earth today
He’s traveled many roads of every land
He sailed ‘cross the vastness of the oceans
Words of every language at his command
Flamel’s wisdom is without measure
He’s read every book worth reading
Knowledge acquired a real treasure
Minds of a select few he’s been seeding
Should you encounter Flamel some day
Stop!
Be sure and listen to what he has to say

Sonnet: On Knowledge
Knowledge is one thing priceless, people want;
Knowledge is something gained by labor long;
Knowledge is infinite; master, you-can't;
Knowledge is changeable, much like a song.
Knowledge is deeper than the oceans deep;
Knowledge is larger than the Universe;
Knowledge is barely in life, just a peep;
Knowledge if badly used becomes God's curse.
Knowledge remains undiminished, tho' you- share;
Knowledge gives man, a civilised outlook;
Knowledge if improper, you ought to pare;
Knowledge is gained from Nature and by book.
Knowledge can make a man a wiser one;
Knowledge gives Wisdom in the longer run.

I read a book
I read a book
Not to enhance my looks
I read a book
Maybe to avoid being a crook
I read a book
Not just to learn how to cook
I read a book
To ascertain how to defend my rights
Not just to acquire knowledge
Reading a book I pledge,
Is one of the roads to the light
I read a book
To understand how a kings territory
Is defended with pieces such as the rook
I read a book
So there will be no questions asked
When I count correctly what you took
I read a book
So that I play not ignorant
Now on life I’ve a different outlook
I read a book
So if I come up with all the right answers
I will know for sure it is not merely a fluke

Today I will read
Tap me not on my shoulder
Today I will read
For there is the urgent need
to explore words being soldered
into blissful compact sentences
as my reading commences
Today I will read
In no chronological order
something immoderately ordinary
Consulting the Oxford dictionary
If and when necessary
Today I will read
Knowledge is power and wisdom
a substitute for boredom
Knowledge is a curse
when words used tend to slip off course
In moments of seeking
the understanding of definitions
I will scamper through publications
of columns in newspapers
Absorb the skeptical illustrations
Learn more about this nation
As I feed my own imagination
Today I will read
a book or a novel
I will read articles
and the contents of scripts
doing my research while I search
for the truth
even if its minute
Today I will read
Separating quality from quantity
as I delve into topics
in my encyclopedia
Tap me not on my shoulder
whether you are younger or older
For Today I will read

The Best Book In The World
the best book
in the world
the only true book
is the world itself
the Book of Nature
the best book is the silence
the wordless-ness in
the clouds and the sky
and the rivers and the oceans
and the lands
and the grass that breaks through the concrete;
and in the deserts and the volcanoes
and the stars
and the moon
and the creatures of the earth
and in all fellow beings
and the vastness beyond
and the vastness within
the best book
the only true book
(every other book is distortion)
is the world itself
the Book of Nature:
read it

On Books
Books are my first love, I’m so proud to read;
They give me knowledge and help life to lead;
Hours, days just pass by, by reading life-time;
Life would not be worth, if not for my rhyme.
Great are those people who write books all life;
Burning just candles, with Goose-quills in strife;
Tired of writing though day-long or night,
They keep on writing in such a bad light.
Books serve a great cause; their value can’t cease;
It takes years to write but reading is ease;
Book-makers struggle to print a few books;
And keep spending time to, improve their looks.
Some find their way to libraries in town;
Some remain untouched and nev’r taken down;
Silver-fish, Moths eat the books that are old;
Some are gone obsolete, some sold like gold.
Some are in tatters and must be rebound;
Books are Man’s best friends where solace is found;
Reading for long hours, does help you to learn;
Books give much knowledge and wisdom to men.
Read books with great care whose weight is in gold;
Serve generations though they may be old;
Source of much Info, deserving respect;
Books are life-partners whom you ne’er reject!

Waiting
Would you know right from the start
That I treasure your picture like a piece of fine art
That I am the one searching for you
Or am I just someone waiting in your queue
Will I be disappointed because of the You in my head
May not be the same man I would get
Am I so far gone with my attraction
That I can't differentiate between real and abstraction
It's your smile that I really want to see
But the one you would give only for me
I am sure we could be the perfect pair
After all this time waiting it would only be fair
Could you say to me that you truly understand
That I would go anywhere on your command
If you read my words could you really hear me
And recognize that you hold the master key
When at the beach we're looking at different oceans
But it's the same one if we blend our emotions
It's only you that I want to hold without any doubt
Could you match that or would you just freak out
Well - I am here and waiting for you
It is up to you now to stop and not just pass through
I promise that I will work on it to give this a real shot
But know that just forget you - I cannot

In Hell
You live by the book of wonders,
The book has hell on it when opened.
The inferno carries pits too grilling,
The grills are offered by devils,
Contagious diseases are handed over
To the body and bones, full of hatred.
A hell of books is opened by the librarian,
You choose a simple verb to read,
Then this verb is read, the verb that signals death.
Your death must never come by reading books,
Long scrolls so wonderful,
Of books the world is made
And the reason for books is reading,
Not living in Hell.

Vanity, Vanity
Vanity, Vanity, all is vanity; words expressed to you and me,
All our labors, here on earth, and what ultimately is its worth?
All men are born to just die, a common destiny for you and I,
And all this life is meaningless, words Solomon uttered to us.
The wisest man to ever live, parting words that he would give,
To all of the people of his age, recorded on Scripture’s page,
And even for our age to read; words of wisdom we can heed,
As we reflect, also, on our life, in the blessings and the strife.
He speaks of life upon earth, through to death, from his birth,
Of all the events in between, as we are in this temporal scene,
And just how empty it can be, when peoples discount eternity,
And that lasting Hope, God gives, to every soul that still lives.
Friend, Ecclesiastes is the book, if one desires to take a look,
At other things Solomon said; wisdom, many souls have read,
While he draws conclusions to, life lived daily, by me and you,
On the planet, of God’s Design, Who changes not, in our time.
With everything Solomon knew, what is a conclusion he drew?
In all times consider The Creator, this world’s Lord and Savior,
Fear God and keep His Law, as He alone, can save one’s soul,
And use your life to glorify, The Lord God, Who reigns on high.

The Alchemist And The Mouse
Once there lived an alchemist in a strange and distant land,
So wise and famous and revered, great power he did command.
For he could turn base metal in a flash to solid gold,
And so the alchemist grew rich, as he in years grew old.
The alchemist had riches, but a mortal man was he,
And came unto his house one day, a gypsy to foresee
His fortune with a crystal ball that showed his time was nigh,
So he a magic potion made, his own death to defy.
And when this potion to give immortality was made,
He took the potion to his lips, but then his hand he stayed,
For there his pet, a small brown mouse, was sitting on his knee;
He gave the mouse a sip and waited, the effect to see.
So time it passed, the mouse it thrived, so then he drank the brew.
Now safe from death, his fame increased, and so his fortune grew.
And so the years went by, he didn't age, always was well;
He and the mouse lived on, and to them nothing bad befell.
The centuries rolled on, his friends and relatives were dead.
In time the human race was gone as onward time it sped,
But even Earth is mortal, and at last the Sun grew tired;
The Earth became a cold dark rock, its spirit had expired.
And all was black, for only feeble starlight pricked the sky,
And silence reigned for there were only two who didn't die;
There gazing out to space, the last two tenants of the house;
The sad and lonely alchemist; by his side an ancient mouse.

At the Cross-roads!
People are at the cross-roads!
They know not the right from the wrong;
They know not God from the creature;
They know not what sin is!
All nations are at the cross-roads!
Their leaders forget who makes them;
They rule without a heart or fear of God;
They’re sinful, selfish to the core!
The world is at the cross-roads!
God anger shows through Nature’s furies;
Perverted are the people’s minds;
Devils ready more souls for hell!
Confess your sins to God today;
Repent, resolve to sin no more;
Pray fervently to God for grace;
Just Jesus saves the human race.

Between Birth and Death!
Between two shores,
Birth and death,
Ignorance and knowledge,
Turmoil and peace,
Mortality and immortality,
There is the ocean of dualities!
The world of dualities,
It is the ocean with waves and tides,
life is found there,
When energy and matter play,
Soul is the player,
stage is mind one is full of confusion!
Identification is what we need,
The world full of life,
light eaters and life eaters,
Autotrophs and Hetrotrophs,
Life eating life,
are parasites or saprophytes,
O, man what are
we?
Listen to call of
Drummer,
Who sent his ambassadors,
Listen to them,
You can cross the shores,
Take deep breath and stop,
See the spinning wheel at head's top,
Let silence be the meditation,
Drum beats may pacify all!
Listen the eternal music,
The heart sing in you,
The lovely melody of love,
that melody subside all dualities of ego!
Then with in you will ask yourself
Hunger and thirst,
Desires and lust,
Needs and greeds,
Love and hate,
Is that all the life?
Your own mind answers you,
You have come a long way,
Look back, dream is over,
You had been there over and over,
You yourself made poorer and poorer,
You moved away from your throne on which you were not there long since!

Nature Defends
Disasters aplenty, run-rampant today
Why? You may ask with look of dismay
What causes natural disasters you naively inquire
Mother earth fights for herself with water and fire
Defending with great winds and terrible quakes
Polar icecaps melting and pandemic outbreaks
She’s taken mankind’s abuse for hundreds of years
Exploited by amoral and depraved profiteers
She’s had more than enough, her patience grew thin
The wicked against her fight a war they won’t win
“I will burn them, flood them and shake them to bits”
Till the will of mankind bends and submits”
Mother Earth, made perfect by Gods Loving Hands
Created azure skies, blue waters, bountiful lands
Seeding water, land with life great and small
Providing bounteous food for one and for all
Why has mankind taken more than his God-Given share
Despoiled Earth Mother’s water, soil and polluted her air
The answer’s complex, not easy to voice
Only one word comes close, that word is “choice”
Poor choices, judgment in what mankind has done
Defiling their home with cruel aberration
So what must man do to set things right
He must love Mother Earth, stop causing such blight
Banish internal darkness, take in God’s Light
Reclaim his saneness, clear his eyesight
Restore duty-bound stewardship, regain command
Of oceans, skies and all expanses of land
No alternatives exist to these actions, as time has run out
Of this...
Earth Mother is certain with no exception or doubt

Quatrain #72 - Where do you look, dear friend.......
Where do you look, dear friend, for the answers in life that you seek?
Do you read books and listen to advice when hearing people speak?
Or do you look deep within yourself and discern words of wisdom there?
If we but only accepted the knowledge of what really can be found there!

Listen, Learn, Read On
In ages past when spells were cast
In a time of men in steel
When a man was taught no special thing
It was all done by feel
So listen, so learn, so read on
You gotta turn the page, read the book of taliesyn
Hear the song of lovely joan
Her sound so sweet and clear
In the courtroom of the king
Among children and the peers
So listen, so learn, so read on
You gotta turn the page, read the book of taliesyn
now hear ye the words of taliesyn,
On the foaming beach of the ocean,
In the day of trouble,
I shall be of more service to thee
Than three hundred salmon...
The hare he bounds across the page
Past castles white and fair
Past dreaming chessmen on their boards
With a fools mate as a snare
So listen, so learn, so read on
You gotta turn the page, read the book of taliesyn
three times I have been born
I know this from meditation...
The bird he flies the distance
From pages two to six
Past minstrels in their boxes
To the waters of the styx
So listen, so learn, so read on
You gotta turn the page, read the book of taliesyn
Dont take the pictures lightly
Listen to their sound
For from their coloured feeling
Experience is found
So listen, so learn, so read on
You gotta turn the page, read the book of taliesyn
all the sciences of the world are collected in my breast,
For I know what has been, what is now,
And what hereafter will occur...

Sonnet- On earth, our mind matters foremost
All joys and sorrows are but states of mind,
And last as long as we are here on earth;
Nothing is everlasting, we all find;
The quest for these is also without worth.
Our earth's stay yet, must be a useful one;
We shalt not shirk, our duties to man, God;
Accountable, we are under the Sun;
Our Judgement fair is given by the Lord.
Just take in Life all things as they come on;
They shan’t affect our minds and hearts for long;
Nothing is permanent since we are born;
Our life on earth will end like every song.
So live today; let morrow come or not;
The purity of soul to keep, we ought.

Toppling World
If the world was to topple and crawl,
My heaven would be described by the wise
As secondary to the wisdom of this world.
For when we select the silver and gold,
A reality has become the pressure.
To master the words of a great leader
Is far too expensive and proud;
The real names of his command shall perish.
If the worldly favours provide us on a day,
The reality of peace is so strongly entwined
That this planet submerges itself into the void of space.

My Poet Time Travelers
I thought of it all day and well into the night
That for you a poem I would write.
What words can you use to describe a person
You’ve never seen.
Then a realization came into my mind
I’ve been writing them for a very long time.
Every time we write about GOD and his begotten son
The words flow freely and never left undone.
So it matters not if it is sight unseen
We write about everything- it’s a poets dream.
Poets go into worlds never traveled before
Seeking all that GOD has made
And come back with knowledge that they’ve gained.
Into the realms of mystery, love, excitement and fear
So that with you these words they could share.
They see the realities of today
The dreams of yesterdays
The future of tomorrows
And the pains and sorrows.
They are the time travelers of the mind
Their eyes are open - they are not blind.
So when you read what they write
It’s because of this time travelers insight.
So to my time traveling co-poets, this I must say
I am proud to have traveled this road with you
Into the minds of man, and writing
The stories that they all understand.

Important Teachers Come And Go
Years ago I met and experienced a workshop with a very gifted man named 'Drunvalo'. A man possessed of a gentle soul of mild demeanor, but at the same time in tune in with what is going on in the world around us, and where we might be going.
He once said;
'Imagine as a new born baby looking up at parents that are so very different and surroundings with colors and shapes you could not begin to imagine on Earth. Indeed a whole new world to experience...just think about how exciting that would be.' Drunvalo was describing what it might be like to be born on an entirely different planet in a brand new galaxy. This speaks to the limitless potential of the human soul and its endless possibilities.
'Intuition and inspiration is the true essence of an awakened being'
