Last Dance
Awkward were the final steps
Of a dance begun so long ago
When time dared to intercept
Amour was no longer apropos

The Resonant Dream
The final dream
So resonant and pure
The final dream
Will never be at its end
Its long journey almost o'er
The final dream
Has just begun
To rattle the fate at hand
The final dream
Is as pure as gold
It is perfect and will stand
The final dream
Will never come to a close
Yet it has a happy hand
The final dream
Is a grand dream
That turns the time of sand
The final dream
Is such a dream
That it is now near its end

Transmission
Radio, live transmission.
Radio, live transmission.
Listen to the silence, let it ring on.
Eyes, dark grey lenses frightened of the sun.
We would have a fine time living in the night,
Left to blind destruction,
Waiting for our sight.
And we would go on as though nothing was wrong.
And hide from these days we remained all alone.
Staying in the same place, just staying out the time.
Touching from a distance,
Further all the time.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Well I could call out when the going gets tough.
The things that we've learnt are no longer enough.
of the show
And we could dance.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.

Propinquity
Ive known for a long time
The kind of girl you are.
And a smile that covers teardrops,
The way your head yields to your heart.
Of things youve kept inside
That most girls couldnt bear,
Well, Ive known you for a long time,
But Ive just begun to care.
Yes, Ive known of all the heartheaches
And Ive known of all the pain,
Ive seen you when the the sun shines
And Ive seen you when it rains.
Ive seen you make a look of love
From just an icy stare.
Well, Ive known you for a long time,
But Ive just begun to care.
I know Ive been blind,
To not have loved you all this time.
To not have loved you all this time.
But the image of you wasnt clear.
I guess Ive been standing too near.
Its taken me a while
But I have finally found
What you are to me
And thats what really counts,
And what you are to me
Is something we can share.
Well, Ive known you for a long time,
But Ive just begun to care.
Yes, Ive known you for a long time,
But Ive just begun to care.

Touch D'amour
Touch d'amour
Yours is a sunny day
Of this i'm sure
Blowing my clouds away
I just don't know what this could do to me
I only want it to be
Touch d'amour
Touch d'amour
Sailing around the room like never before
Could never have come too soon
I want this dance to last forever
For it to last forever more

Call For The Next Dance
(for Harry)
How we used to dance together.
The dinner table would be set
With its lyrical sparkle of low light,
the candle would bid us:
Dance!
With mine, your body would move
in all directions,
weaving a poetry of motion
creating – unconsciously-
beautiful memories
that we would summon
with a smile,
not sorrow
when we could not dance
together anymore
Ah, how we loved to dance
In the morning
At noon
In the evening
How we loved to dance
When eternity was ours
in our moments of solitude together
or with a coterie of friends
or even total strangers,
we would dance
You would dance with a swarm of
lithe bodies or stiff ones
As long as I was there
I would watch as your feet pirouetted
as if controlled by some spirit of their own
You loved to dance
And before the next ball
I was snatched as I was about to hurl myself
to your waiting arms
after we were apart for a few days
the few that seemed frustratingly infinite
But the train came too fast, stopped long
(or short) enough to load me and absconded
before I could beg for a chance to say
to you
Goodbye
in the fashion we were accustomed
I wish we could have gone to the
Last Dance
which you skipped
because I could no longer go with you
Even if
You loved to dance
Lately, I would silently feel you
intuitively hankering for a dance
But you would not move your feet
Because I could not mine
Even if
You loved to dance
Because you must,
I let you grieve
I let you stop dancing
Even if
You loved to dance
The datebook of the past year is no longer there
in its place one desperate to remind you
time has moved forward with slow precision
Or have you not noticed?
The interregnum has been long
Even the Great Source of Wisdom says
There is a time for everything
A time to cry, a time to laugh
A time to hurt, a time to heal
Too, there must be, for you,
A time to forget, a time to remember
A time to bury a loved one,
A time to exhume the stirring memories
that say life does not end with one death,
Like how
You loved to dance
There is a ball
Why does the spirit in your feet slumber
Still?
You do not want to go
because I will not be there,
You think?
Even if
You loved to dance
Go to the bedroom
(Which is no longer ours but yours; let the
last of me vacate it so you can be whole)
Open the wardrobe
Retrieve your dancing pants
and your dancing shoes
Heed the call of the dance floor
It missed you for too long
This last time
I will be there
Before the clock strikes at midnight
Let me go
Because really
I have gone a long time
as your dance partner
Before I go, brace your ears
Let me stay
long enough to whisper to you
Dance again.

They Dont Dance Like Carmen No More
By: jimmy buffett
1973
Walkin down new streets, music is loud
Neon signs bring in tumultuous crowds
But Im just an old man, Id probably get sore
cause they dont dance like carmen no more
She and ol cougie, my what a pair
Jus doin the rhumba as no one else dared
Slidin and glidin cross hollywood floors
But they dont dance like carmen no more
-- spoken:
Take it marvin
Shk chk, shk chk, shk chk
Well now she had a big hat, my it was high
Had bananas and mangos all piled to the sky
How she could balance it, I wouldnt dare
But they dont dance like carmen nowhere
Shk chk, shk chk, shk chk
Ah but the ladys not with us, she died long ago
And they dont show her movies on late midnight shows
cause the kids would get restless, and the grown-ups would snore
cause they dont dance like carmen no more
Well now she and old cougie, my what a pair
Just doin the boogie as no one else dared
Slidin and glidin cross hardwood waxed floors
But they dont dance like carmen no more
No more
No no no more
And Im just an old man, Id probably get sore
But they dont dance like carmen no more
Nah they dont dance like carmen no more
Coda:
Ten cents dance, I might take a chance
But they dont dance like carmen no more

Dance, Dance Everywhere!
Dance, Dance Dance
everywhere,
When I look at the sky,
I see the clouds dance
Into steps of winds
My heart dance when I watch clouds dance!
How it can make me dance?
Without any tune or beats,
Its own beats me my heart dance.
Some strange tune it sings in silence and dance!
When I see at shore of ocean waves that dance,
Some birds in sky fly and dance,
On the waves boats that to the tune of waves, dance,
My mind sing lyricless
music to which it dance!
When I walk along the beach,
The headless crown of palm trees with wide open hands dance,
Watching them dance trees start their dance!
When I on countryside, green paddy fields dance,
Looking at them, the bird on the branch dance!
When walk along, trees with fruits dance,
And to its own rustling music, leaves dance!
When I walk in the park,
Plants with flowers dance!
Looking at the graceful dance flowerless dance,
When I move on street, hope and hap dance,
Seeing at them even hopeless an hapless to dance!
Smile on faces with hope dance,
Wrinkles on the forehead of hapless dance!
When I look at people in them mind dance,
In some happiness dance,
In some sorrowfulness dance,
Some I found with desperation dance
In some their laziness dance,
In some saintliness dance,
Most of the time wickedness dance,
And in some other dreams that dance!
Success that dance with some,
Distress that in unsuccessful dance,
In some hearts mercy that dance
Together with love and kindness dance!
Some where cookedness dance,
And some where innocence dance,
In every nation either hunger dance,
Or in people's mind anger that dance,
Either corruption in corrupt mind dance,
Or those systems on the heart of people dance!
Dance, dance, dance everywhere,
It is time for my soulful dance,
If you see somewhere some other type of dance
Just sing it dance
and let no other see the pain in your heart dance
Hide it with that unfailable lips on which smile may dance
Dance, Dance, dance,
Tune your steps with eternal dance!

When I dance
I dance for me,
Silent vibrations from within
Rhythm of the unseen,
I dance for me.
My steps follow their direction,
My heart-beat echoes their sound.
Some say I dance weird: they call me possessed.
If I dance raw, if I dance pure,
If I dance whirlwind, if I dance the spirits within,
No matter what them say,
I know I dance me.
I dance for me.

I Waited So Long
I waited so long 9 months in fact, the birth it felt like an attack
I waited so long to turn my back, on childhood and 12 years intact
I waited so long to turn 16, get a car exploit the dream
I waited so long to find a girl, the one I'd love and begin a world
I waited so long to graduate, leave behind an untold fate
I waited so long to be married, no longer a child to be carried
I waited so long to learn a craft, then came along our nations draft
I waited so long to turn 21, end adolescence, adult life begun
I waited so long to be a Dad, raise a child, my heart feel glad
I waited so long to have a son, feel proud inside new line begun
I waited so long to be a grandparent, love a child and not be errant
I waited so long to get this far to find myself, with many a scar
Life's a challenge, and that's a fact, but time is short, so compact
Life goes on the wrinkles I hate, the pounds put on, just won't wait
No longer to wait, from now on I happen,
Others can wait, It's energy I'm sappin'

Awkward Age
I should have know that you were only just fifteen
You had a scowl like a Klingon beauty queen
Old enough to stand out but to young to stand with pride
So uncomfortable in your messed-up skin
And the cool parties never let you in
I can still relate to being so high and dry
Don't cry...
You're just at an awkward age
We'll all be fine
Disgraceful under pressure
Don't toe the line
You're just at an awkward age
Don't cry- just an awkward age
Don't cry
You're just at an awkward...
You look at me like i know what's going on
I'm looking back and i wonder what went wrong
I really thought by now a few things might clarify
I got a mind that goes out to lunch for days
And a body that sometimes disobeys
I get into the parties but i hate them 'cos i'm shy
Oh my...
I'm still at an awkward age
We'll all be fine
Disgraceful under pressure
Don't toe the line
You're just at an awkward age
Don't cry- just an awkward age
Don't cry
You're just at an awkward...
We're supposed to be happy
Supposed to be tough
Supposed to be flawless
Snd buy the right stuff
They want us all swimming
Don't care if we drown
Do don't let 'em take you down
It's a scary mountain to climb up without a guide
Besides...
We live in an awkward age

Dance of Dances
Dance in the moon light with all the stars in sight
Dance with all of this power and might
Dance with danger every night
Dance up and down twirling around
Dance with sweat dripping down the neck
Then dance with fire every dark hour
Dance with thrust if you must
But dance on the hour every hour
That’s when to explain in steps the dance of dances

It's Over
(Released as B-side of 'Dance Into The Light' single, 1996)
With a young man, with his heart on his sleeve
Had the body of a man, and a trust of a child
He never meant to hurt anybody
But he broke some hearts along the way
Ooh, it's all over
Ooh, it's all done
Ooh, it's all over
Or, has it just begun?
All that he spoke came right from his heart
Though some had been hurt by the things he had said
Go walking in the long grass to find his peace
Sometimes it'd grow so tall he'd lose his way
Ooh, now it's all over
Ooh, it's all done
Ooh, it's all over
Or, has it just begun?
Ooh, it's all over
Ooh, it's all done
Ooh, it's all over
Or, has it just begun?

Dance For The World
Dance for the world, Dance for the world
People it's time now, Something's got to change
People, We no longer can live in pain
We've got to find the truth, We've got to know where it is
Cause we stand here together, Fighting year after year
We're lost in our search, We've been longing to find
We can't hold back no longer, Cause we're running out of time
Dance for the world [x4]
People, my people, We've gone too far, It's time now
To find out just who we really are
I know you're weary, Your hearts full of fear
I see the hope inside you, Behind all the tears
Dance for the world [x4]
If we could all just love one another,
We would see there is nothing more important
Or greater than love for the people
I would dance for the world, I would sing for the world
I would pray for the world, People dance for the world

Save This Love Passion
Dance mon amour,
Please dance for me.
show me your perfect curve,
Make me alive, make me lured.
Dance my perfect love,
Please dance for me.
Show me what you can do,
Make me sweat, Make me full.
Dance my truly queen,
Please dance for me.
Show me you are the one,
Make me real, make me whole.
Dance you beauty soul,
Please dance for me.
Show me you only for me,
Make happy, make me feel.
Dance my dear companion,
Please dance for me.
Show me you are chosen one,
Make me love you, make last.
Dance my favourite song,
Please dance for me,
Make me true, make my session.
Make me save this love passion.
