Take Me Home
just like a sinner far from zion
i'm far away from where i can rest
i care how i can fight this lion
with spear of wood not even iron
a friend is lynched and a lover is gone
jungle is hard even after all i've done
my heart please take me home
every predator here has a rival
every prey has a thousand predators
with the tigers how do the dear get survival
after the fire how do the grass make revival
to live with vitality so lush and green
it's not a life none that i've ever seen
my heart please take me home

It Is Survival Of The Fittest
On the flesh of smaller forms of wildlife the eagle she does fill her craw
A predator of Nature's wild kingdom and Nature lives by her own law
And the predators of Nature's wild kingdom they have to kill to stay alive
It is called the survival of the fittest where only the fittest survive.
The fear of creatures of the jungle when they listen to the big cats roar
But in Nature big cats are not seen as killers they hunt for survival nothing more
They have to hunt when they are hungry of meat they need their daily fill
It is one of the Laws of Nature that the predator to eat must kill.
Nature never grieves for her dead creatures to grieve it is not Nature's way
She is above sorrow and pity when on her bosom her dead creatures lay
Us humans too are part of Nature we live for awhile and we die
The creatures of Nature's wild kingdom they are not less mortal than I.
It is called survival of the fittest it happens in Nature night and day
Those that are born to be meat eaters on other creatures have to prey
And birth and death to Mother Nature are part of life and of the same
And for the deaths of her wildborn her predators she never blame.

Survival Of The Fittest
When the lion roars and makes himself heard
all in the jungle shall listen
As he stalks his prey from hunger he feels
on his face his eyes do glisten.
And as he's heard all beasts do scatter
in fear, lest they be prey.
Wildebeasts, gnus and even gazelles
try to get away.
For to end up in the bowels means death
and survival comes to an end.
And the anxious ones who make their escape
nervously make their wend.
Luck was with them on this day
and so they graze and feed,
unaware of when the lion will roar.
They're intent on only their need.
Survival of the fittest in every jungle
reminds me of how we act.
For the world at large is just the same
as we are attacked
by the strong and mighty who feast upon
the weakest of all men.
And so the world we are living in
is just like the lion's den.

The Lion II
I am the lion of Africa!
But, living in the jungle of peace;
I do spring out with my tail for many to follow,
However, i do speak tendering words with my lover.
The lion!
Life is guided by the muse of love;
And like where peace, unity and joy do live.
Sow on my land and enjoy the fruits of your labour! !
For, i am living in the jungle of love;
And, i want to care for you.
I am living in the jungle of peace with lot of visions,
In the very place of mystery!
But, with a secret journey to reach out to your heart;
For, i am the lion of Africa and,
I am ready to share my jungle with you.

Heart Of Steel
Build a fire a thousand miles away
to light my long way home
I ride a comet
My trail is long to stay
Silence is a heavy stone
I fight the world and take all they can give
There are times my heart hangs low
Born to walk against the wind
Born to hear my name
No matter where I stand I'm alone
Stand and fight
Live by your heart
Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
Say what you feel
Born with a heart of steel
Burn the bridge behind you
Leave no retreat
There's only one way home
Those who laugh and crowd the path
and cut each other's throats
Will fall like melting snow
They'll watch us rise with fire in our eyes
They'll bow their heads
Their hearts will hang low
Then we'll laugh and they will kneel
and know this heart of steel was
Too hard to break
Too hard to hold
Stand and fight
Live by your heart
Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
Say what you feel
Born with a heart of steel

We're Predators and Prey
Are we truly so distant from our primitive past
Are we no longer the hunter or considered fair prey
Were the truth put before you, you’d be most aghast
There are predators among us and they hunt us each day
We’re not truly different from the ones at herds rear
Which the predator watches with hard hungry eye
The prey starts and senses, that death is quite near
On the lonely herds edges, the weak always die
Our modern world is a jungle, and human beasts are a fact
Camouflaged with normalcy, clothed in disarming disguise
Preying on the young and the weakest with terrifying tact
Before melting in to community, they disappear to our eyes
The gazelle in the herd is as the child on the walk
Safety in numbers causes inborn defenses to relax
A lion creeping closer is as a van stopping to stalk
And they’ll both culminate in deadly attacks
No.. we’re not so far distant from our primitive past
Yes.. we’re the hunter and also too, are considered fair prey
don’t allow yourself or your children to lag or be last
Yes… there are predators among us and they hunt us each day

Home Is Where The Heart Is
(gary rossington -- johnny vanzant -- hughie thomasson -- rickey medlocke)
Ive always lived my life like a gypsy
I cant imagine myself settlin down
So please dont ask me to give up this life I lead
cause I love to feel those wheels go round and round
(chorus)
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees, not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home with you
Theres a cold wind blowin and you know its almost midnight
You never dreamed it would be this hard lovin a music man
But this iron horse on which I ride Im closer its true
And its just as hard for me as it is for you
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home with you
In my life Im always on the run
Livin one day at a time
Hold on a little longer
I dont know where Im gonna end up
Or where Ill go
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home ...
I can see it inside
Its my heart that sees not my eyes
And if you listen close Ill tell you why
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is at home with you
Home is where the heart is
Oh ,my home is where my heart is
Oh, my home is where my heart is

Home is where our bed is
We can fight all we want
You may even call me names
Telling me how much you hate me
But home is where our bed is
Home is where you forgive me
Home is where i let go of all the pain
Home is where we come to
When we show all our love
You can tell me how stupid i was
I can even show you all my anger
I can vent thru you
And you will feel like walking away
But home is where our bed is
And our bed we most come to
There i will tell you how sorry i was
And there you will forgive without no holding back
You can tell your friend
How bad I've treated you
You can even make some up
And they find it hard to forgive me
But baby home is where our bed is
Home is where you take my crip and still says i love you this man
Home is where you tell your friends that they are wrong
Home is where you tell them all to go to hell
Home Is where we wake up to
Home Is where you forgive
Home Is where you don't sleep 0n me baby
Home Is where our heart is
H0me is where all doors are closed!
Curtains are drawn!
Blinds are shielded! And 'its just you and me
Home is where you forgive no matter how big the sin is
Cause home is love
And i love you!

God’s Revival
Some may focus on survival, when what we need is true revival,
Revival of the spiritual kind, which moves in the heart and mind.
Revival may be man’s desire, but comes from one much higher,
The revival that I’m speaking of, comes through the Lord above.
Before revival can have a start, we must first prepare our heart,
Just like a farmer prepares a field, so that a new crop will yield,
Preparing our heart to be right, as broken for God and contrite,
So God can have His way in us, in the likeness of Christ Jesus.
Humility is that place to start, as believers seek to do their part,
As we yield our heart to Him, for God to change us from within.
Next we take this need and care, to a Sovereign Lord in prayer,
Who alone moves hearts of men, like nothing else on earth can.
Then as we seek God’s face, He sends upon His people Grace,
Along with His Spirit, to do His will, as God’s purpose we fulfill.
And friend, with all this in mind, we must leave old ways behind,
Turning away from all evil ways, as we seek to give God praise.
Praise not from things men do, but, how God uses me and you,
As we turn away from our sin, and His Revival, God does begin,
With His purpose and in His time, not by man’s religious design,
Using this present generation, to share His Gospel of Salvation.

Green Green Grass Of Home
The old home town looks the same as I step off the train
Meeting every train in my mind's eye till the man in mail came
Hair like gold, lips like cherry
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home
Green, green grass of home, green green grass of home.
Only dream I know of is to be found hair like gold, lips like a cherry
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home
They'll all come to greet me, on the steps of my sweet dream
It's good I dreamt the green, green grass of home
I wait and look around me at the broken walls that surround me
And out here I was on the ground.
There's a garden in the path of progress unharmed through winter's day break
Then I'll touch the green, green grass of home
They'll all come to greet me from the chains of the old dark hollow
The green, green grass of home
They'll all come to greet me on the steps, my sweet dream

I Want A Lover
At this time of night, when the crowds have passed
Were the last to leave, we need some company
No need to look so shy, dont even wonder why
You know the reason that we need this company
Ive been sitting here, looking out for you
Someone just like me, whos maybe had a drink or two
I dont want another drink or fight
I want a lover
I dont care whether its wrong or right
I want a lover tonight
Tonight
Outside the dawn is breaking, looks like its started raining
Well catch a cab, and soon be driving home
No need to look so shy, dont even wonder why
Youll know the reason just as soon as we get home
Youve been sitting there, wondering what to do
Ive been standing here, waiting to make the first move
Ahaha
I dont want another drink or fight
I want a lover
I dont care whether its wrong or right
I want a lover tonight (tonight)
I dont want another drink or fight
I want a lover
I dont care whether its wrong or right
I want a lover tonight
Tonight
This anticipation is a stimulation
No need for conversation as were driving home
Put your arms around me, it doesnt mean you love me
Just that you want me and you need my company
Driving through the night, its so exciting
Turning off the light without another thought tonight
Ahaha
I dont want another drink or fight
I want a lover
I dont care whether its wrong or right
I want a lover tonight (I want a lover tonight)
I dont want another drink or fight
I want a lover
I dont care whether its wrong or right
I want a lover tonight
Tonight
(I want you, I want your love) - I want a lover
(I want you, I want your love) - I want a lover
(I want you, I want your love) - I want a lover (I want your love tonight)

Jungle
Here I go
Down below
The sun is goin' down
A jungle comes alive
The beast is waking up
To take another life
I can't sleep
In too deep
The man with nothing left
Without a place to hide
Will take a final breath
And tumble in the night
Yeah
Someone's safe at home
Someone dies alone
Someone's fallen prey
Yeah
Some will take their fill
Like lions to the kill
Livin' day to day
Whoooaaaaaoooohhhh, The Jungle
Mothers mourn
Fathers groan The child takes a hit
And then he starts to cry
A mother never hears
Her baby's last goodbye
Yeah
Someone's safe at home
Someone dies alone
Someone's fallen prey
Yeah
Some will take their fill
Like lions to the kill
Livin' day to day
Whoooaaaaaoooohhhh, The Jungle
The sun is coming up
A city comes alive
The lamb will never see
A jungle in the sky
Yeah
Someone's safe at home
Someone dies alone
Someone's falling prey
Yeah
Some will take their fill
Like lions to the kill
Livin' day to day
Yeah
Someone dies alone
Someone's safe at home
All is flesh and bone
Whoooaaaaaoooohhhh, The Jungle

Lion's Roar
In the jungle, a lion's roar,
Loud rumbling from it's core.
Magnificent mane of golden brown,
He is a king but wears no crown.
Predator and enemy they have two,
Human hunters, Hyenas too.
The lion and his lioness pride,
If you cross them, run, don't hide.
The roar of a Lion,
The rolling sound of thunder,
The chase of a Lion,
His prey runs asunder.
The Lion's roar is his symbol,
Of Strength, Of Leadership, Of pride,
The raw Roar sound is tribal,
His pride, so true, abide.
Your Are My Lover
Come, take my heart
lets want away end of the skye
both are friends
and both are lover
never, go in my life
you broken my wall like heart
i was once broken my heart
and wounded,
no more meadicen to take care
God send to you from heavens only for me
you create me feelings in my heart
that's is called love,
both are friend
both are lover
you are everything in my life that i want
i am planner, you come to my heart
i am you friend
you are my lover.

Home Is Where The Heart Is
(words & music by edwards - david)
Home is where the heart is
And my heart is anywhere you are
Anywhere you are is home
I dont need a mansion on a hill
That overlooks the sea
Anywhere youre with me is home
Maybe Im a rolling stone
Who wont amount to much
But everything that I hold dear
Is close enough to touch
For home is where the heart is
And my heart is anywhere you are
Anywhere you are is home
Maybe Im a rolling stone
Who wont amount to much
But everything that I hold dear
Is close enough to touch
For home is where the heart is
And my heart is anywhere you are
Anywhere you are is home
Home, home, home, home, home

The Grass Is Greener
The grass is greener so they say.
We venture to another lawn.
We still don't water and care for that grass.
That grass will be gone.
We focus on what we do not have.
Rather than what we do.
A crazy cycle of wanting more.
A jaded point of view.
Keeping up with the Joneses
A mad and thankless place.
Never stopping to smell the roses.
Running an endless race.
Life passes you by, then it's taken from you.
By a thief walking in the night.
Our wants they steal from all our needs.
Your life's a script you can't rewrite.
So value all it is that you have.
For you truly have been blessed.
Live a life that's full and abundant.
Live a life that is your best.
Grass is greener where it's watered.
With much love and with much care.
If home is where your heart is.
Put your love and your time there.

Sestina - Cycling
November bomb-fires refuse to take light
Like sultry splutters of a lazy passion.
And drowsy hedgehogs under dead, damp wood
Dream snail’s trail filaments of kiss and touch.
Autumnal sodden leaves, leave underfoot,
A worn, discarded carpet once so lush.
Cold winter heart of mornings, sunlight lush,
Spangle frosts on bare branches and delight
In shining grass blades crunching underfoot.
Invade my sleepy heart, excite my passion.
I yearn for kisses, search for trembling touch.
Tentatively snap dead-wood’s bitter wood.
Rising greenly, sap springs through new wood,
Feeding fresh leaf, nourishing bud till lush
Summer arrives. Await the radiant touch!
Anticipate! The sun’s young rays spread light,
Tempting seeds of lust to swell in passion,
Crushing memories which echo underfoot.
Wise warnings thud above whilst underfoot
The thundering tramplings of the wild, wild wood
Call out. “Unleash your thwarted passion.
Drink in the nectar of life’s root, the lush
Intoxicating spirit that sets light
Your body with the need for urgent touch.
Laden boughs bend overhead to touch
A verdant rug of green laid underfoot.
Sky brightness winks and blinks. The broken light
Peeps through. Charcoal dark, my cleft heart of wood
Remnant of fire, lies guarded in the lush
Cutting blades of grass that hide my passion.
Leaves scuttle, dry husks rush round with passion
Press-ganged by the wind. Gems dyed by the touch
Of death in glowing hues. Fruit full and lush
With wasps, reaping juice fallen underfoot.
For good, my soul is yearly marked like wood
Rings revealing all, sealed away from light.
Envoi
Can passion trampled underfoot spring up
Again? Can touch revive the flame in wood
Snuffed by lush, lush rain? Can kisses make light?

Rivals to all
Dear foe, I am your rival for your fall.
Dear peer, I am your rival to be tall.
Dear brother, I am your rival for parents’ care.
Dear father, I am your rival for my mother’s love.
Dear wife, I am your rival for our kids’ love.
Dear son, I am your rival for my wife’s love.
Each one has some antipathy for all
For sometime, for some moments, at least.

Welcome Home
In my life
I have seen
Far away places
Wild and serene
But nothing I saw
Prepared me for
The mat on the floor
Saying "welcome home"
Time flies
See the moon rise
As I'm makin' my way
Through another long day
But I'll go
To a place I know
In my heart I know
There's just no place
Like home
Welcome home
Welcome home
To that place
That's safe and warm
Always a shelter
From the storm
I'm going home
Welcome home
Roll out the welcome mat
For me!
I'm goin' home
Sometimes
I remember
All the days I never knew
If I would ever make it through
But just when
I'd give up again
I'd remember when the days
Were stormy
Home was always
Waitin' for me
Sayin'
Welcome home
Welcome home
Where there will always be
A welcoming light on
Just for me
When I go home
Welcome home
No place
That I would rather be
Than goin' home
In my heart I know
That someday when my time
Is drawing near
I'm gonna hear
Welcome home
Welcome home
Where there will always be
Somebody waiting
There for me
When I go home
Home sweet home
Everyone's smilin' just for me
When I go home
In my heart I see
Somebody waiting
There for me
Welcome home
Welcome home
It looks like a
Starlight symphony
I'm goin' home
