Mom, Where You Are!

You are hung on big white wall
A symbol of peace and look very tall
It is life size picture standing alone
Reminds me of the lovely days that have gone

Why did you leave us behind?
How much generous you were and kind?
How could you do that in hurry?
We are left helpless and in constant worry

Mom, daily I stand in front of your picture
You are live in my eyes and making it sure
You have not left us alone it seems
Why do I feel to be in night dreams?

Mom, tell me first, why did you go at all?
People tell it is not good place and like living hell
What will you be doing there without us?
I don’t believe anything and yet fully trust

No, you come back and take us in your fold
I feel we are left alone and just have been sold
We did not realize about absence or were told
We want no treasure, money or gold

Mummy, please hold my hand and take me out
Markets are flooded with toys as they all talk about
This is first time and I don’t see you around
You are no where here to be seen and found

I won’t celebrate any of the festivals
Till I see you in home with arrival
You left when I was fast asleep in your lap
Someone told me about your demise with big slap

I refuse to believe in almighty and his acts
Why did he do it alone with me in fact?
We feel helpless and have no place to go
The chilly wind reminds us all when it gently blows

With each silent knock, we rush to the door
We get up hurriedly from sleep when some steps are heard on floor
