Poets' Poison
Another breath
in this empty skin as
The Poet's dreaming
once again:
'Love is death...'
The Master said,
imbibing I-magine's
magick and
sinks …
one still, solemn,
soular drink
of the scribbler's sacred
solvent ink
revolving, resolving
absolving, dissolving
his hyperindensity
hemlock-heavy
handed, heartened
hallowed head.

Oblivion
The enemy arrives
Escape into the night
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Break into another time
This enemy alive
Divinity defines
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run
Under the burning sun
I take a look around
I'magine if this all came down
I'm waiting for the day to come
Come with us to the ride
Join in the fight
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Break into another time
Unity divides
Division will unite
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run
Under the burning sun
I take a look around
I'magine if this all came down
I'm waiting for the day to come
Under the burning sun
I take a look around
I'magine if this all came down
America it's all so beautiful
Until it comes away
Under the burning sun I take a look around
I'magine if this all came down
Under the burning sun I take a look around
I'magine if this all came down
Under the burning sun I take a look around
I'magine if this all came

The Poet
Until he hears Apollo's call
To make a hallowed sacrifice,
A Poet lives in feeble thrall
To people's empty vanities;
And silent is his sacred lyre,
His soul partakes of chilly sleep,
And of the world's unworthy sons
He is, perhaps, the very least.
But once Divinity's command
Approaches his exquisite ear,
The poet's soul awakens, poised,
Just like an eagle stirred from sleep.
All worldly pleasures leave him cold,
From common talk he stays aloof,
And will not lower his proud head
Before the nation's sacred cow.
Untamed and brooding, he takes flight,
Seething with sound and agitation,
To reach a sea-swept, desert shore,
A woodland wide and murmuring...

Still Dreaming
No Ill not renounce my views do what others do
Id rather drink the hemlock than be like you, to my soul untrue
It never gets easier so quit tryin pleasing her
Everything is a choice so let me hear your voice
Born in October night
feeling was out a sight
skin Im in now and then
moves like a meteorite
noise in our culture
is built in our nature
another era will decode
as we head toward rapture
suppose were all gifted
suppose that the mist is
a metaphor for change
suppose the veil will be lifted
sacrament that I hold
close and I feel noble
solar marigolds light the souls
return from that other world
Sometimes when Im awake
I cant tell if Im still dreaming
Theres so much here at stake
When every moment is just fleeting
Sometimes when Im awake
I cant if Im still dreaming
It never gets easier so quit tryin pleasing her
Everything is a choice so let me hear your voice
rip up the evening post
kill parasitic hosts
we can shoulder all the karma
that came with Los Alamos
return the sky bottle blue
return that forgotten hue
a looking glass world
seeing into and through you
soul and body are my twins
the latter will give in
when the former views the ocean
as not too cold to get in
to alien life forms
these waters are real warm
but beware we can change the weather
and create a snowstorm
Sometimes when Im awake
I cant tell if Im still dreaming
Theres so much here at stake
When every moment is just fleeting
Sometimes when Im awake
I cant tell if Im still dreaming
No Ill not renounce my views do what others do
Id rather drink the hemlock than be like you, to my soul untrue
It never gets easier so quit tryin pleasing her
Everything is a choice so let me hear your voice

Thanatos Basileos
The serpent dips his head beneath the sea
His mother, source of all his energy
Eternal, thence to draw the strength he needs
On earth to do indomitable dees
Once more; and they, who saw but understood
Naught of his nature of beatitude
Were awed: they murmured with abated breath;
Alas the Master; so he sinks in death.
But whoso knows the mystery of man
Sees life and death as curves of one same plan.

Miracle Goodnight
Burning up each others love, burning up our lives
Tried all kinds of working out, miracle goodnight
Future full and empty knocking on my door
Ragged limbed and hungry mama
Miracle no more
(skin tell me) turn it around
(head tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing)
Morning star youre beautiful, yellow dime on high
Spins around my little room, miracle goodnight
Even flower all alone, pazanane capeche
Havent got a death wish, just want a little more
(skin tell me) turn it around
(head tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) miracle goodnight
(breath tell me) turn it around
(heart tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) it was only make believe
I wish there was a sailor a thousand miles from here
I wished I had a future, anywhere
I love you in the morning sun, I love you in my dreams
I love the sound of making love, the feeling of your skin
The corner of your eyes, I long forevermore
I never want to say goodnight, miracle goodnight
(skin tell me) turn it around
(head tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) miracle goodnight
(breath tell me) turn it around
(heart tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) it was only make believe
Dont want to know the past, I want to know the real deal
I really dont want to know that
The less we know, the better we feel
Morning star youre beautiful, yellow diamond high
Spinning around my little room, miracle
(skin tell me) turn it around
(head tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) miracle goodnight
(breath tell me) turn it around
(heart tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) it was only make believe
(skin tell me) turn it around
(moon tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) it was only make believe
(eyes tell me)
(judes tell me) nobody dancing
(nobody dancing) miracle
(skin tell me) tonight
(head tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) nobody dancing
(breath tell me) turn it around
(heart tell me) make it alright
(nobody dancing) it was only make believe
(skin tell me) turn it around

Industrial Fortress
Where are they now?
Those voices that once held dominion over my mind.
What poor soul are they accusing of forgiveness in seeking beyond blindness
All that lay in wait for us within a kingdom of ever changing ages?
They story turns, my pupils burn and the world unfolds, never younger,
Never older but always the story is told. Wrapped in paper skin I'm dissolving
Into a solution of madness, revolving around a hope in revolution.
An Industrial fortress stands as solemn testament to the devilry of man,
Silhouetted against the sickly yellow clouds that smother the horizon
A labyrinth of pipes and towers forever cooling unwinds before the eye
They have proclaimed the death of the river man; they have proclaimed the death of the sky
And told are we as children lost that no Jack is there to paint the frost upon the window pane.
The forest night is dead it seems and peopled only by our dreams
Those ghosts of ever fading pasts, those memories which forever last.
The flames of the solar phoenix are flaring
The days are dissolving beyond recollection and no hope of resurrection is there for we
Sinful soulful warriors of midnight’s canopy. Vulnerable yet free, bruised yet smiling and all the while suckling upon the roots of the world tree, weeping in freedom's name.
Free me
Free me of misery
Free me of ecstasy
Free me of carnage
Free me of love

Lust is my Disease
(Verse I)
I can taste your lips
At my finger tips
Though you’re still so far away
I can feel you every day
Tragic endings now
It’s hard to live without
Your breath upon my skin
And the way we used to sin
(Bridge I)
And so I whisper
It’s true that love has left me
But it’s lust that leaves me empty
And sometimes I scream
It’s true that love has left me
But it’s lust that leaves me empty!
(Chorus) The breathing, the moaning, the screaming
Was always the best part
The lusting, the loathing, the beatings
Broke everything but my heart
(Verse II)
Drink another down
Drink enough to drown
But still I feel you breathe
Desiring your reprieve
Passion at its end
Dead, forgotten
Now it all means nothing
And always, it means nothing
(Bridge II)
And so I whisper
It’s true that love has left me
But it’s lust that leaves me empty
And sometimes I scream
It’s true that love has left me
But it’s lust that leaves me empty!
(Chorus)
(Breakdown)
Oh, a life without a heart
Isn’t easy to conceive
But your body is an art
And lust is my disease
(Chorus x2)
Oh, I’m empty now.

Lift (With Love We Will Survive)
Lift up your head
Focus on every detail
Why does this illusion bring so much confusion
When all I can dream of is you
Lift up your head
We're rising with every breath
A liquid solution a chemical fusion
When all I can dream of is you
Constantly feeling the earth spinning around
But I'm standing alone
With you I see stars in your eyes
In a trance I'm so high
With you I survive
Let's get away now!
I'magine there's no one around
I'magine you're not just a face in the crowd
There's a new set of rules
No more pain of confusion
You're numb to the world that you know
I'm constantly feeling like nothing's bringing me down
cause you're always around
With you I see stars in your eyes
In a trance we're alive
Ten feet off of the ground
Let's turn it up now!
I got you
I got you
I got you
It's ready for you
Lift up your head
It's amazing where everyone goes in the end
Why does this illusion bring so much confusion
When all I can dream of is you
I'm on the ground
I'm off the ground
Ten feet off (when I'm with you)
Ten feet off (when I'm with you)
I could be true with you
I could be through with you
Don't you get it we're alive
Completely out of sight
We're running out of time
With love we can survive
Don't you get it we're alive
Completely out of sight
With love we will survive

Icing Sugar
Your delicious
Dreaming
Slack jawed
Green eyed
Rub my nose in
Icing sugar
Smooth as
When this cold and deadly
Blade
Kissed the fruit
So soft
And gently breathing
Under your skin
Oh i'll empty you
I'll empty you
As empty as a boy can be
As empty
As a boy can be

Dreamin'
Close your eyes and take a look at your life
Do you like what you see
My eyes are open but I feel like I'm blind, it's all returning to me
I wanna know, does a frozen river flow
Things you said fill my head lying in a cold and empty bed
I'm only dreaming
Between the darkness and the light
I'm only dreaming, oooh
Dreaming, can't tell the daylight from the night
I'm only dreaming, dreaming
I feel the sunlight shining down on my face
Not a cloud in my mind
I get my wake up but it never comes in time
My prayers are spoken and I wait to receive
'Cause there's a fine line between the truth and how we want it to be
I'm only dreaming
Between the darkness and the light
I'm only dreaming, oooh
Dreaming, can't tell the daylight from the night
I'm only dreaming, dreaming
I'm sailing like a ship on the sea
I don't care if I'm lost in the haze
I hear the angels singing something to me
Time's the enemy
That you never see
Won't you come slip away
I am only dreaming
I'm only dreaming
I am only dreaming
Yeah
I'm only dreaming
I am only dreaming
I'm only dreaming
Yeah
I am only dreaming
Dreaming

Journey To Lisbon
Winter Journey to Lisbon
Up rua Garrett I walked and it’s steep, in Baixa, the old heart
of Lisbon, past a shop that sells lottery tickets that sits beside
a shop that sells religious artifax, which is next door to a shop
that sells Cartier watches, if you buy a ticket and win, there is
money to decorate you mother’s grave and to buy a watch for
yourself. At the top of the street there is café Brasilia it used to
be Fernando Pessoa’s drinking den, the place is full of solemn,
nice Portuguese who, dressed for the occasion, drink nice cups
of coffee, their forefathers used looked down on Fernando,
irreverent poets and writers must go and drink elsewhere.
The master poet is now a statue sits outside in the rain and has
his picture taken by tourists, one wonders what he thinks of it all
as he sees the statue of Antonio Ribero Chiado, a poet who lived
in the sixteen hundred, the Largo is called after him he is bald and
is dressed like monk. From Largo Chiado I could see the harbour
where tug boats ply their trade on grey waters; the church
“Incarnacao” where Antonio used to pray is beautifully restored,
but empty god had left by the backdoor, the front door was too
heavy, but I saw woman weeping near a statue of Christ, “opium
for the people? ” Yes, why not?
It is getting dark the Portuguese are swallowed up by the Metro
as middle aged men with folded cardboard boxes, look for a shop
doorway where to bed down; and over this scene hovers Amalia,
the great Fado singer, she came from poverty too, famous in her
own life time she had the sense to be a friend of the powerful and
made it to the top. When her friends toppled from power she was
out in the cold, but not for long the Portuguese quickly forgave her.
Fine rain falls on Fernando’s hat and Antonio’s bald head, empty
streets the city sleeps and leaves the space to cats, the sleepless,
whores and their sad clients.

When We Make Love (2)
when we make love
i remember a fruit blend
of strawberry
and mango and melon
i like the ground ice
inside my head
when i close my eyes
after we make love
i see blue skies and white herons flying
i hear the songs of angels
i sense the world slowly revolving
and then dissolving
into a very hollow space
in perfect silence.

Dreaming A Dream
Dreaming of a dream
A dream were skies are blue oceans are clear and life scared
Dreaming of dream
were a dream of peace and love rule and hate is a myth
Dreaming of a dream
having food for all, and all not thirst
Dreaming of a dream
Dreaming of a dream
were skin color is just that, us all just one
Dreaming a dream
no pain, war the only true crime
Dreaming a dream
were the rich give, and the poor have a chance
Dreaming a dream
Dreaming a dream
were we can look on a future of happiness'
Dreaming a dream
were the children are the future
Dream a dream
were lives are fullfilled, and getting old is not a bad thing
Dreaming a dream
World wonderess, happy, clean, perfect
Dreaming a dream

I Have It
I always wondered why so many weird things happen in the world. Is it fate, or Magick. This isnt one of my better poems but..here goes
Some call it Magick
The things I see
And I don't understand it
Why it happens to me
Some call it Magick
And I don't know how
But I know that I have it
And it all works out
When I try to live,
When I try to Believe,
When everything seems
to be alive,
I have my Lucky stars
Fate as it may be

Dreamlight
Oh, I am lonely by a desert palm,
And dreaming, dreaming on the sands of thought
Oh, come to me from out the voiceless calm,
And teach me what the Nile has left untaught.
Bring to me a draught of Southern wine,
The perfume of the near-forgotten rose.
Then let me drink beside some ancient shrine,
And drinking, let my tired eyelids close.
Come near to me. The fast night-hours are few,
For every hour is fast when moons are clear.
Scatter from my hair the desert dew,
And lilt sweet Arab love-songs in my ear.
Unloose the twilight hair about thy head,
And listen to the waters deep and slow
For we are dreaming with the dreaming dead,
Dreaming where the flowers of Isis blow.
Look not to where those eagles fiercely fight,
Let peace alone be on the ancient bed.
Unbare thy beauty to the Egypt night,
And stay with me till Egypt’s dawn in red.
Then leave me when the bird of night has flown,
And touch my lips before the night-moon sinks.
I’ll ponder by these pyramids of stone,
And sit within the shadow of the Sphinx.

Revolving (Nafaka)
There's a reason for joy
consider the circumstance of life
there's a reason to remember
the circumstance of life
there's a reason to understand
the circumstance of life
revolvong revolving
in the shade of reasonong
the circumstance of life
a bitter taste of captivity
consider the circumstance of life
the breath widens the freedom
consider the circumstance of life
the feet can move the hands can touch
finally
consider the circumstance of life
revolving revolving
in the shade of feelings
the circumstance of life
pulling the trees
down the roads of darkness
killing the pain
in the shade of a cage

A Hymn To My God
OH thou great Power, in whom I move,
For whom I live, to whom I die,
Behold me through thy beams of love,
Whilest on this Couch of tears I lye;
And Cleanse my sordid soul within,
By thy Chirsts Bloud, the bath of sin.
No hallowed oyls, no grains I need,
No rags of Saints, no purging fire,
One rosie drop from David's Seed
Was worlds of seas, to quench thine Ire.
O pretious Ransome! which once paid,
That Consummatum est was said.
And said by him, that said no more,
But seal'd it with his sacred breath.
Thou then, that hast dispung'd my score,
And dying, wast the death of death;
Be to me now, on thee I call,
My Life, my Strength, my Joy, my All.

The Master of Death
I am falling head over heals in love with
The Master of Death
He’s the one that makes you look over your shoulder… twice
Sends chills down your spine
And forces your fairy tail dreams into nightmares
That would make the devil cry and shiver in terror
My body urns for his touch but
His hands set fire to everyone’s flesh
My moist rosy red lips hunger for the taste of his,
But know he has the kiss of death
With his morbid pen within his right hand
The letters on the paper run in fear
And laugh at the pain of the other writers
For he is the best and
The letters know the other writers are reading
The Master of Death’s
They are reading Saint Cynosure’s
Greatest way to get inside your head
I am falling for The Master of Death
So let it be
But to me he is not so scary
That you all can’t see

Death Is Not The End
When youre sad and when youre lonely and you havent got a friend
Just remember that death is not the end
And all that youve held sacred, falls down and does not mend
Just remember that death is no the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
When youre standing at the crossroads that you cannot comprehend
Just remember that death is not the end
And all your dreams have vanished and you dont know whats up the bend
Just remember that death is not the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
When the storm clouds gather round you, and heavy rains descend
Just remember that death is not the end
And theres no one there to comfort you, with a helpin hand to lend
Just remember that death is not the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
Oh, the tree of life is growing
Where the spirit never dies
And the bright light of salvation shines
In dark and empty skies
When the cities are on fire with the burning flesh of men
Just remember that death is not the end
And you search in vain to find just one law abiding citizen
Just remember that death is not the end
Not the end, not the end
Just remember that death is not the end
