You wear a crucifix around your neck
Is it in decoration or a sign of your true belief
As around my neck their lies nothing at all,
Because in my heart, lies the love that you cant see.
I proclaim my belief to no one but me
A desire stronger than your crucifix on a chain
And if I could wear that belief around my neck
I would proudly wear it, as my love I’d proclaim.
I wear my belief as if it lies around my neck
As proudly and strongly as any crucifix on a chain
And if it could be removed, forever it would stay
Then you would know that love would always remain.

You tell your lies unto your daughters
You told those lies unto their fathers

Must have faith or what else is left?
Lack of faith, sorrow bereft
Belief in a God, nature, galactic deities
Even atheistic belief gives some amenities

Those with no faith to look forward to
Stranded, without a helping clue
Grasp a belief enabling you to cope
One that brings fulfillment with hope

Sweet rhythms renowned
Belief that art opens the way
Creative devotion bless the day
For some, blind faith is better than none
Others may curse their belief, ready to abscond

Founded On God
you tell me...
this country was founded
on a belief in God.
looking at it from
the Native Americans' side...
it would be
belief in your God
at the expense
of their God...
and so it has been
throughout history!
i really dont believe
God kills off his competition,
nor do i think
morality and freedom
were ever won with a sword.
a compassionate God
never goes off to war,
never invades,
never conquers by force.
God is not a taker,
but a giver,
