What can They Do?
What the police can do
if minors and those under fifteen
who are yet to get
the driving license
unleash a passion
for stealing bikes?
What the people can do
but to sign the insurance policies
if the agent advisers unleash
an emotional attack
by quoting the uncertain, sudden
oncoming fatal accidents?
when we race by bike or car
the agents words burst in mind
and we see danger waving its hands

Unthought of calamities
Most saddening was
The news of a young enthusiastic boy
Studying a professional course
Meeting with a road accident
And succumbing to the injury thereto
God is kind they say
Is He really
This question comes to mind
As the boy died
Not because of his fault or rash driving
He was an innocent pillion rider
Which he became as some one
With a bike offered him a lift
Again, the bike rider too was not at fault
Do you call it fate or ill luck
If the cause and effect theory holds good
What was the cause for this fatal effect
What wrong did the boy
Or his parents do to end up with this irreparable loss
It is no less harsh than a tsunami for this

Miracle
Isn’t it a miracle?
That we with no
Eyes and ears
Honking on the roads
At every bend, turn and
Corner,
Ignoring pedestrian
Crossings, encroaching
On their right to cross
The roads safely, shooing
Them away to race our cars
At break-neck speeds,
Bribing the police to get away
With our mischiefs,
Having under the table
Money exchanges with the agents
To get our driving licences.
All the rules being flouted.
No respect for road safety laws.
We, the blind and deaf people

Why do we
Always blame
Our drivers
For our
Road accidents?
Yes, many of them
Are at fault -
Driving rashly
On forged licenses,
Talking incessantly,
Listening to blaring
Music that pierces -
Our ears deafeningly
Also,
Speeding fast to
Overtake others
Even if it entails
A straight road
To death ;)
But we pedestrians
Are no less careless
Flouting road rules

What do we do?
No, we don't look

I take full responsibility for my actions.
When I stopped my car,
In the middle of the highway...
And told the kids,
That I was driving home from school...
If they found me so boring,
To go play on the highway!
I didn't think they would take me literally.
Who knew?
The police report stating,
I had a gun...
And making the kids run one by one,
Across the highway is exaggerated.
I did not have a gun.
It was a bat!
And I had 'HAD' it.

I have become very emotional.

The Government and the Insurance Companies
You teachers and the gentle folks
don't smoke like giants and drink as hogs.
Hide these facts when you insure
but your autopsies tonsure.
Your heirs are squeezed to live as dogs.
Non-disclosure of facts result in loss of your money
and the insurers lie in wait to lick this honey.
The government blame the agents as if the policies they mis-sell
but they are in hand in glove with the companies to puzzle,
saying as they had breached the duty of utmost good faith;
the companies deny claims making comments blithe.
To get the dues, the nominees have to wait at the Customer Care,
then the Consumer's Forum and the Ombudsman next
and then the IRDA and finally the Court, hand in hand with the agent.
For every ten thousand the agent gets
a thousand as income tax, the Coffers wets,
besides the Service Tax for winking at these atrocities.

Garbage Pick Up
Place your garbage at the side of the road
all that was treasured at one time.
Bikes and some exercise equipment
they had seen their better of times.
Your child has grown up
and your now growing out.
He 's worn off the rubber riding his bike
clothes hung on yours, cause it got too tuff!
Golf clubs never used at all
because dad had that heart attack.
Maybe if he let you come along
you both wouldn't have got so fat?
Garbage pick up man is looking
at all that lay aside the road.
He's looking at it likes it's Christmas Eve
with wealth of gifts untold!
One mans junk is anothers treasure
I've heard someone say.
