Food Handouts To Vagrants

There were food handouts
for vagrants in those days
when people travelled to places by walk.
If tired strangers sat at the steps
of choultries in villages,
people would give them food to eat.
And in the early morning,
they would resume their journey.
Now we see hotels all along the road
but the rate of each item is doubled.
Some tramps beg for food and shelter
and in the dawn they'd be out with
some valuables missing. In some places,
the derelicts are given shelter
but their meagre gold is looted.
The governments give freebies to people
in exchange of their votes in ensuing polls.
Yet some odd persons are out to beg and eat.
In a few days the cops find them as terror-outfits.
Some with beards come like sages
and in the morning, some nearby cages are empty,
from which a few women elope with them.
Beware of the vagrants these days!

Tiny ants we are, but our souls with yours at par

It was our routine
We move around in batches
Locate places from where
We can collect food items
Our food habits are simple
We do not need to cook
As we eat raw
We do not add spices to our food
We also do not mix food items
We are satisfied with one item
And we eat it stomachful in one go
And very importantly
We eat only when hungry
No in-between in takes
We walk, walk and only walk
We do not use any vehicle
Our tribe is known for
Organized non stop working
Recently we were in a marriage hall
We were busy material handling
And the foot item we were shifting
Was a ready-to-eat item
And we would keep it stored
In our safe custody
For consumption later on rainy days
Everything went as planned
We were almost moved all we wanted to move
The last batch of our ten people
Were moving fast through a foot path
And before they could cross
A large footed man stamped on them
And all the entire batch of ten crushed to death
We all witnessed in sorrow
The demise of our people
For no fault of theirs
"We, tiny ants cannot do anything about this.
Once I witnessed hundreds of our men
Got drowned in milk when the pot containing it
Just titled and got emptied"
A senior citizen in our group lamented

Overweight with Food

Are you just a tub of lard and
Vastly overweight?
Do you think that when you die you'll
Need a piano crate
To act as coffin for your frame? -
Chosen as you die in shame, with
Only you to take the blame
For years of eating much the same:
A daily calorific fest
Gourmands of your ilk digest!

Is your heart in final fling and
Nearly set to burst?
Are your arteries bunged and clogged and
Feeling now the worst
For wear? - your aneurysm fit to blow
While blood as thick as rising dough
Cries 'Halt! ' to any hope of flow:
A dreadful state to put on show
In front of any nurse!
Best you hail a hearse.

Many Must Grow Poorer

Millions will go to bed hungry tonight that does seem sad to say
And many of them will not wake again for to see another day
The sad fact that many die of malnutrition is sad cause for lament
Whilst billions in war by Governments are spent
Even in the World's wealthiest Nations people live in abject poverty
And the unequal distribution of wealth does seem all wrong to me
The wealthy getting wealthier whilst the homeless of poverty street
Are searching in the rubbish for thrown out food to eat
To have enough of food and shelter should be a basic human right
But millions must try to sleep hungry without shelter tonight
And many cannot feed their families on their meagre take home pay
In an egalatarian World things would never be this way
And many must grow poorer for every new millionaire
And for the hungry millions doesn't life seem so unfair.

Syrup Sponge

Pour a pint of cream
Upon my spongy bulge!

Scoop me with a
Hefty spoon;

Taste my essence -
Do you swoon?

Feed your self-esteem; indulge
In me until you burst -

Death by syrup sponge - you're cursed!

And as the count in inches gain
Upon your weary waist, the strain
Will tell, but you'll not care -
Steeped in sponge, you're unaware!

A Asome Poem About PEOPLE

Some people
Care about you, some people
Don’t care,
Make fun of you and walk away,
Some people,
Run past, some people
Hand you presents,
Give you a pat on the back,
Some people
You love, some people
You don’t know
Some people, some people,
You do,
Some people
You notice, some people
Eat cauliflower, some people
Are teenagers,
Some people walk to restaurants,
Sit down at the counter,
Eat there food, through it at
People,
Some people never notice you,
Some people always look, some people
Want to take you away, some people
Will never exist
Some people are other people; some people are you, some people
Die ever second,
Some people are you

Salad is Incompatible with Life

Yes, my waist is fifty inches -
Big for me because I'm short.
And yes, I like my cheddar cheese
When partnered with a vintage port.

Okay, okay, that double cream
Is always served with pud,
And cake and biscuits with my tea
Are just no bloody good

For my poor hardened arteries,
But see my point of view,
Please dear wifey if you please,
A Salad makes me spew!

I'd rather eat a bowl of air
Than crunch away on greens;
Drink water from the toilet bowl
Or nibble on my jeans!

But salad! Are you there?
You know it makes me snappy -
So let me fill my face with grub,
Stay fat, and die young happy!

Applause

People will grow
More with applause
Than with rich food.

People will die
More for applause
Than for rich food.

People will die
More from applause
Than from rich food.

People forgo,
To get applause,
Their food in time.

People will spend
More for applause
Than for rich food.

Applause will do
What alcohol
Will, to people.

Applause denied,
Or food denied,
The body will wilt.

Applause is earned
To gather people
And select mates.

Applause feeds ego
And food keeps body.
Body is for ego.

We Cry for Food and They Give Us Bullets

Food! Food! Food!
It is all that we need
It is all that we need
to calm down our spirits!

It is food that fills
that fills the empty pangs
of our stomachs,
pangs that make us yawn
but cannot sleep
that make us gulp
but cannot vomit,
that make our saliva
taste sour and acidic!

We cry for food
like the helpless little children
with the art to attract attention
by our street demonstrations.
Yes, we cry for food like little children
to calm down our spirits,
that the cry cannot at all be neglected
for it is food,
it is food that soothes our spirits.

But you give us bullets
on the streets where we stage
our cry for food
You give us bullets
instead of food.

But even bullets cannot silence
our cry for food
for as long as we`re hungry
we shall be like little children
that will ever cry for food.

Some food is lovely...

Some food is sweety...

Some food is spicy...
Some food is nothing...

What about tomorrow

I did not follow,
Mind didn’t allow,
Hide face under pillow,
Some bitter pills to swallow,

Sun was blazing,
Heat waves with direct rays,
Forcing people to find some ways,
Shelter, tree’s shade or whatever possible,

Found one labourer,
Working under sun,
Sun on top with full afternoon,
Sweating and digging,

“Will you eat some food? ”
It is fresh and good,
No, Madame, I am sorry,
Food is no worry,

I may get or today borrow
Who will give me tomorrow?
This sent me shock wave,
What an answer, I couldn’t believe

050811H ants among us

i stand up and give them food
some took it but much of them
they wanted me out of their way
i have to crash some that bit me
acid bites are painful and itchy
red ants are very fierce, territorial

gatherers of leaves, shoots, sugar
food train is so busy infinitesimal
everybody has job, no smoke break
am their enemy even i give them food
maybe i'm different, it was fear i know
so as other people over that plateau

Food, Clothing, Money, Shelter, and...

Food, clothing, money and shelter
I have them all
Why is this heaviness in life
Why is it to be hauled?

Food, clothing, money and shelter
are all requirements of my body
While pursuing all these material necessities
I forgot to feed my soul.

An engine needs fuel to be propelled
Soul needs a goal
Without goal the life is empty
Goal makes the life whole.

No goal means no life
Worry and fear cloud the soul
To live life to the fullest
I need to have something in the morning
to wake up for.

End Of Time

Towards the end of our time
We miss the friendship and food;
The days behind are but silent thoughts
And the months seem endless.
People meander on the eternal road
Yet some of us walk so straight.
Little people run on it first
And slow down afterwards.
Children seek help on the eternal road
And want more kindness to be shone.
The road is kind if you walk on it
And not sprint or dash like some who dare.
The end of time shall be near,
When thoughts are collected
And death occurs,
Making your home with the grave.

Manged Dog

This mangy dog
This dog with mange
Pitiful pitiful sight
The mut with dogged ears
Why o' dog
Does your tail drag
you wretched thing
your eyes build up crust
On the outside corners
your eyes carve paths
Of ceasless tears
you beg for food
you deserve none
Pethetic dog die
Dog away from me...

i am a dog worthy
of death but
Insteadt i beg for food
Foe my master
Is dying on his
Death bed he has only
i to give him food
For days i have panted
For pity i pray
My master have food
i pray he dies not
For days i have cried
By these corners
While my poor
Master dies

High Upon the Rainbow

Some days fill with wonder
Some days fill with pain
And some you'll press between the glass
To look at once again

Like the morning of my soul
Like the dawn of miracles
Come again to find me
Sitting high upon the rainbow

Some days will hold a present
A gift not that's not yet seen
And some days bless with secret signs
And some with a certainty

Like the morning of my soul
Like the dawn of miracles
Come again to find me
Sitting high upon the rainbow

Some days won't come round again
Though you never heard 'good-bye'
Some days we'll think of all our life
And the answer's only sighs

Like the morning of my soul
Like the dawn of miracles
Come again to find me
Sitting high upon the rainbow

Like the morning of my soul
Like the dawn of miracles
Come again to find me
Sitting high upon the rainbow

A Food For Everything!

Meals are the food for the body;
Knowledge is the food for the mind;
Meditation is the food for the spirit;
Music is the food for the love of heart;
Dreams are the food for the consciousness;
Prayer is the food for the Almighty;
Love is the food for the living heart;
Thoughts are the food for the brain;
Colourful ink is the food for the pen;
Ideas are the food for the stories;
Truth is the food for the will;
Sun’s energy is the food for the plants;
Plants are the food for the living beings;
But one man’s food is another man’s poison!

One morning

one morning it will come that i may have a
wagon of carpentry tools and let my friends
build houses for our neighbor, who just live
in shanty shelter

one morning i may have lots of books and
pens, for i may have a library in our barrio,
so that those little kids can learn and can
have research as other do

one morning those sky be filled with
confetti, reaching everybody hand, for
a dream of graduate be in the air; as
other are send to school, with confident
of financially free

one morning i may see, that every food
in the table be tasted and beautiful dresses
be wear by every child, living no pain in
the stomach that is hungry, closing their eye
with a dream and a hope that next day be
awaked in the bed they are safe

one morning i can ride in an airplane,
sharing my great ideas, to every heart and
soul that listen to the plea of our people, in a
country that everybody call and nobody dare
to fall

that is my story; please help us to pray.....help
us, and never give up, it is still the eye of the
iceberg..........
