Departure Of A Fellow Poet From Madras
We don’t lose our sister AloShome
but her simple, sweetful lines
which drizzle calm
and make serene the souls
of those who read them.
We don’t lose a niggling critic
but a gentle crusader
to set up phrases in order
and get our verses wet
with values human and common.
We don’t lose a kolkattan
but the breeze that blew
from the fertile Bengali Shore
without an ego proud or a stock
of chauvinistic missiles to fly.
Poetry will bring us together
though we drift apart to places asunder
Our thoughts are centripetal
towards working for human joy
and flay the ploys of unkind forces.
When we pack up to leave this world,
and our souls struggle to liberate from us’
among the role models flashing through our minds,
the portrait of the sanguine Alo Shome will be one
before meeting the eventual with smiles.

You Can't Lose At Love (Crush Demo)
You can lose at cards
You can lose your keys
You can lose the house or lose the lease
You can lose your car, you can lose the race
You can lose your mind or lose your faith
Take a look around and hear what I've gotta say
You can't lose at love
No, you can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
Chose anything you can dream of
No, you can't lose at love
We could lose the plot
Or we could lose our way
But I ain't going to lose
These ain't good games we're playing
Let me make you an offer too good to refuse
No, you can't lose at love
No, you can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
Chose anything you can dream of
But you can't lose at love
Now we just might roll a seven, these ain't loaded dice
We'll never get to heaven from this driveway tonight
You've heard a million promises that's never come through
Baby I'm telling you we're due
You can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
Chose anything you can dream of
But baby, you can't lose at love
Take a chance on me
Cause you can't lose at love
Take a chance on me
No, you can't lose at love
Take a chance on me
You can't lose at love
No, you can't lose at love
You can't lose at love
You can't lose
You can't lose

Drift Away
Day after day I get more confused
Trying to see the light
In the morning rain
Going on a game
You have to lose
'Cause the feeling's changed
I won't lose again
CHORUS 1
Giving the people
As I pray my soul
I wanna get lost in rock'n'roll
And drift away
Sometimes I think
I've always been down
I don't understand the things I see
The world outside seems so unkind
So unkind
But I'm dependin' on you to let it
See me through

I Dont Wanna Lose Her
Stock/aitken/waterman
I dont wanna lose her
I dont wanna lose her
They told me that she had found somebody new
But I dont believe it
They said I would soon find out she was untrue
But I just cant see it
Maybe I am wrong to doubt it
And now that I think about it
If ever I lost her love
Id be nothing, nothing without it
I dont wanna lose her, lose that girl
After all that weve been through
I dont wanna lose her, lose that girl of mine
(lose that girl of mine)
I couldnt imagine life without her love
I just couldnt take it
If you wanted to know how well I would get on
I dont think Id make it
Maybe I just dont show her
And now that I think its over
I maybe should shout about it
cos Id be nothing, nothing without it
I dont wanna lose her, lose that girl
After all that weve been through
I dont wanna lose her, lose that girl of mine
(lose that girl of mine)
Im gonna make a new start
And bring her back to my heart
cos what I found out about her
I just cannot live without her
Maybe I just dont show her
And now that I think its over
I maybe should shout about it
cos Id be nothing, nothing without it
(choruses to fade)

Am I About To Lose Myself?
AM I ABOUT TO LOSE MYSELF?
Am I about to lose myself?
Am I about to give my time
To the needs of others only?
Am I about to lose hope?
Have I already lost
Whatever Poetry I had within me?
Do I writes these lines
As if I were already
Half myself?
Is it about to be over,
And am I already finished?

If I Lose The Poem
IF I LOSE THE POEM
If I lose the Poem
I will lose myself-
Words will be too difficult for me
I will wander in the world useless -
True, one day I will not be.
But for now
And for as long as possible
I need the Poem.
If I lose the Poem
I will cease to be
And all the Poetry that has been in me
Will also seem lost.
I waver and wonder
As I write
These plain and simple words.

No Name #6
You've got the wrong equation
Your figures fell so you make more up
All's false in celebration
If only you could just change your luck
This time we can't lose
This time we can't lose
You're pushing nine you're doing pretty
But you're playing with the sound turned down
We drive along between the cows and cotton
Saying with the stars all around
This time we can't lose
This time we can't lose
The moon is in a sickle shape
You know you're only really happy just for now
Looked at the city scape
Well there's a planet that'll catch you and drag you back down
This time we can't lose
This time we can't lose
This time we can't lose
This time we can't lose
Can't lose
Can't lose

Nothin More To Lose
Get out of that house,
Stop watching t.v.
Have you heard the news,
Well theres a new world here,
And its staring straight at you,
Dont want no politics,
Religion too.
Theyve got nothing left to prove,
Well my hearts beatin rhythm,
And my soul keeps singin the blues,
I know we can make it happen,
Anytime we want it to,
I know we can make it happen,
Now its all up to you.
Chorus
We got nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose.
Were so proud of our intellect,
Arrogant selfish fools
Who can look no further than,
A bunch of separative rules.
Well if were all so clever and technology
Rules,
Why is it were so scared.
I got a rockin psychosis,
And my juke box blown a fuse.
Dont look theres someone watching,
Though theyre many light years away.
Dont stop,
They may be listening to every single word
You say.
Chorus
Nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose.
Can you feel something strange in your
Heart,
In your brain,
But its not what you think.
Youre just waking out of sleep.
Chorus
Nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose.
I know we can make it happen,
Anytime we want it to,
I know we can make it happen,
Now its all up to you.
Chorus
You got nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose,
Nothing more to lose.
Can you feel something strange in your
Heart,
In your brain,
Nothing more to lose.

You Can't Lose Me
Oooh
Yeah yeah
You can't lose me
You can lose your faith in loving
You can lose the will to trust, you'll see
You can't lose me
You can lose control let loose your senses
Lose your strength lose your defenses
You'll see, you'll see, you'll see
You can't lose me
You can't lose me cause I'm not leaving
You can't lose me cause I won't go
I'm gonna be there like a shadow you won't ever be alone
I'll be the sun that shines above you
All around you everywhere
I'll be there
You can lose your way, lose your possessions
Lose your mind and lose direction
You'll see, you'll see, you'll see
You can't lose me
You can't lose me cause I'm not leaving
You can't lose me cause I won't go
I'm gonna be there like a shadow you won't ever be alone
I'll be the sun that shines upon you
All around you everywhere
I'll be there
You can lose your way, lose your possessions
Lose your mind and lose direction
You'll see, you'll see, you'll see
You can't lose me
You can lose your faith
You can lose your way
I'm gonna be there
This will never change
No no no no no
You can't lose me
You can lose your faith
You can lose your way
I'm gonna be there
This will never change
Oh yeah
You can't lose me...lose me

Human Nature
In did we are powerful but yet useless
We can control ourselves but still thinkless
Our might is in our hand
And still we forget our role in the land
We stationed our brain in working order
And still we strive to hurt our brother
Everything we do involves our consent
So we should recall and try to repent
Every man in this bowl has a villain act
And every soul in human body can kill a fact
All the heart has a price
Its purchase can work when the want rise
But those who are divine
Can never be bought even if they lose their spine

No Time To Lose
The other family get no sleep
Somewhere down the love got to take and keep
Think about the future, nothing in the past
God, things never last
Come on, come on, come on
Take your love
Get down, get down, get down
Down the road
It ain't no lie
You're hurting
And you don't know why
No time to lose
We get no time to lose
No time to lose
No time to lose
Ever had the feeling something's going wrong
Hanging round a lover where you don't belong
Waiting for a reason, lookin' for a clue
But you know what you gotta do
Come on, come on, come on
Take your love
Get down, get down, get down
Down the road
It ain't no lie
You're hurting
And you don't know why
You got no time to lose
We get no time to lose
No time to lose
No time to lose
Your brothers at the bar
There girls in the car
Your sister's on the telephone
that ain't low
Your mother's going blue
Your dad is going grey
There's nothing here for you to stay
Come on, come on, come on
Take your love
Get down, get down, get down
Get down that road, get down you
It ain't no lie
You're hurting
And you don't know why
No time to lose
No time to lose
You gonna have to choose
You go and shake the blues
Oh oh you got no time to lose
You got to choose
No time to lose

Mirror
Human values
Mirrored images
Engrossed in self
Magic imago,
Mirrored minds
Engrossed in self
No moral code,
Minded mirrors
Engrossed in self
Imago of banked souls,
Awakened souls
Engrossed in self
No nourishment,
Graffiti walls
Magic in the mirror
Engrossing secret codes,
Erosion of values
Image deterioration,
Anarchy consuming
Human values.

(Remember poems) Remember the task of the poet remember poets
Your romantic poems
Will gladden hearts
And heal hearts
Your epic poems
Will fill minds
With wonder
And amazement
Your religious poems
Will cleanse spirits
And give hope will provide
Them with reason why they're here
Your poems
Will save souls
And comfort abused souls
The world needs your poems
You need the world's poems
It's a win win situation
We learn from each other
And learning we enrich
The spirit and the soul
It's a win win situation
All the way to self improvement
The closest to God we can come
Brothers
We cannot lose
Sisters
We dare not lose

No Way We Can Lose
There can be no answer for us all
There can be no stopping what is ever changing
Living for the perfect dream
Its time to make a resolution
There will be some peace in our hearts and our minds
We can all find a way to resolve our differences
Theres no way we can lose
When we all realize that there are no differences
Theres no way we can lose
Ready or not
We can all find a way
We will be forgiving to the ones we love
We will see the blossoming of the new spirit
Shaping everything to our design
Well build a brighter future
We will free ourselves from the chains that would bind
We can all find a way to resolve our differences
Theres no way we can lose
When we all realize that there are no differences
Theres no way we can lose
No way we can lose
Ready or not
Ready or not
Theres no way we can lose

Your World
How can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Why you lose your dreams
If they are so beautiful?
Why the tears fall down from your eyes
And disappear in the ground?
Why your heart breaks
If its beats represent life?
But how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Then why you lose your world
If love is your world?
Why your eyes full with tears
If your eyes are so beautiful?
Why sorrow comes
After every happiness?
And how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
As life is nothing but ups and downs
You feel pain and cry,
And you forget everything with the time.
If you do not gain anything, you do not lose anything too.
So, how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Oh it’s nothing but life!
No one can become your world
You yourself is the whole world for you.
So, how can you lose your world, as the world is you yourself?
Tears trickle down your cheeks like droplets of rain,
And after every sorrow happiness comes
And after every sunset there is a sunrise
So, how can you lose the world, as the world is you yourself?
Use It Or You'll Lose It
Comeon!
Show what it is that you feel.
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
Show what it is that you feel.
Use it or you'll lose it.
Putting off today,
For tomorrow...
May from you disappear,
So...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Excuses made to hesitate,
Only dissipates what is real.
So...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Waiting for a day to remove double chins,
Or...
Praying someday you'll appear more thin,
Is...
Self defeating.
Comeon!
Show what it is that you feel.
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
Show what it is that you feel.
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.
Comeon!
And...
Use it or you'll lose it.

Lose The Fear
Bu bu bu bu, bu bu bu bu
Come back in,
As love get's thin and leaves you dry.
Found that space,
Only to owe you back inside.
You're fading like someone,
Who's given up on life.
And all you've ever left behind,
The scars that burn inside.
You're wishing for someone,
A taste of something better.
Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu,
Till it came,
Born to break in someway soon.
Lose the fear.
'Cause nothings easy in this world.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu, Lose the fear.
Bu bu bu bu,

Sonnet: Satanic Souls!
A myriad human souls are seen misled
By evil forces, keeping them in dark,
With conscience dysfunctional or dead,
And satanic influences and mark!
A few strange souls seem working night and day,
And try to dispel darkness of all sorts;
They’re guided by the Maker’s will and way,
And serve to save some hell-bound souls and hearts!
The modern world is turning chaotic;
Yet, goodness will prevail o’er bad on earth,
Though Satan tries to be acrobatic,
And righteous human beings are a dearth.
The Master of the universe is God;
All sinfulness will get His final rod!

Too Many Too
Too many drivers in too many cars.
Too many lost souls drinking in too many bars.
Too many heroes stepping on too many toes.
Too many yes-men nodding when they really mean no.
Too many lives each cat can lose ---
Weve got too many too.
Too many too.
Too much sunshine. too many drops of rain.
Too many equal and average children who will all grow up the same.
Too many fireside politicians holding too many views.
Too many questions --- but there are answers too few.
Too many lives each cat can lose ---
Weve got too many too.
If I were a liar --- yes, and you were a cheat ---
There would be too many places where we all could meet.
Too many temples where we could worship the beast.
Where he who thinks he had the most in fact has the least.
Too many lives each cat can lose --
Ive got too many too.
Ive got too many too.
