Night (O you whose countenance)

Night. O you whose countenance, dissolved
in deepness, hovers above my face.
You who are the heaviest counterweight
to my astounding contemplation.

Night, that trembles as reflected in my eyes,
but in itself strong;
inexhaustible creation, dominant,
enduring beyond the earth's endurance;

Night, full of newly created stars that leave
trails of fire streaming from their seams
as they soar in inaudible adventure
through interstellar space:

how, overshadowed by your all-embracing vastness,
I appear minute!---
Yet, being one with the ever more darkening earth,
I dare to be in you.

Night (This night, agitated by the growing storm)

This night, agitated by the growing storm,
how it has suddenly expanded its dimensions--,
that ordinarily would have gone unnoticed,
like a cloth folded, and hidden in the folds of time.

Where the stars give resistance it does not stop there,
neither does it begin within the forest's depths,
nor show upon the surface of my face
nor with your appearance.

The lamps keep swaying, fully unaware:
is our light lying?
Is night the only reality
that has endured through thousands of years?

Slumber Song

Some day, if I should ever lose you,
will you be able then to go to sleep
without me softly whispering above you
like night air stirring in the linden tree?

Without my waking here and watching
and saying words as tender as eyelids
that come to rest weightlessly upon your breast,
upon your sleeping limbs, upon your lips?

Without my touching you and leaving you
alone with what is yours, like a summer garden
that is overflowing with masses
of melissa and star-anise?

In The Beginning

Ever since those wondrous days of Creation
our Lord God sleeps: we are His sleep.
And He accepted this in His indulgence,
resigned to rest among the distant stars.

Our actions stopped Him from reacting,
for His fist-tight hand is numbed by sleep,
and the times brought in the age of heroes
during which our dark hearts plundered Him.

Sometimes He appears as if tormented,
and His body jerks as if plagued by pain;
but these spells are always outweighed by the
number of His countless other worlds.

Searching For Truth

Many men venture up into space, searching for that time and place,
Just where this earth had its start, while guided by wayward hearts.
They circle way above this world, looking for grand news to herald,
News that they can be assured, the earth started without The Lord.

The Lord above, they simply mock, as to the craft above they dock,
Suspended high above the earth, filled with a vain and empty mirth.
All the time they simply speculate, of man’s beginning and his fate.
But God is not mocked my friend, as they will all see come the end.

Men continue to blindly say, all came from the big bang in one day.
A foolish theory men do embrace, so they can worship outer space.
At times I wonder, how can it be, in that vastness they can not see,
That everything their eyes can see, was created by God of Eternity.

Although they suppress The Truth, they all shall be without excuse,
Because the vastness of creation, confirms all of God’s Revelation.
Above the circle of our little earth, sits The Creator of our universe.
As Creator, only He holds the key, to every man’s eternal destiny.

Their search for truth is misplaced, ignoring God’s awesome Grace,
Men need to look to The Creator, accepting Jesus Christ as Savior.
Then He who sits above the earth, will grant these men a new birth,
And they will receive eyes to see, that space is a curtain to Eternity.

Above & Beyond

Woman in a million to me
I never loved so much
Is it any wonder Im alive
No one ever knows what makes a
Virtue or a vice
Let it be the spell Im under
(these naked eyes)
Let it be the rain and thunder comes
I go above and beyond the sun
Some love never dies
Story of our lives, ohh,
Swear by the stars above
And late at night I pray to myself
That you and I got everything we need
Id give it all for you and me
Love is the earth and the wind
And the fire and the soul
Love is above and beyond any eye to behold
Love is the key and the cause
And its makin us whole
Made me a little crazy, but i
Soon realize my fate
Every little touch Im paralyzed
No one ever know what makes
An angel in disguise
Let me be the one to taste you
Those naked eyes
No pity if the city ever crumbles down
I go above and beyond the sun
Some love never dies
Story of our lives, ohh,
Swear by the stars above
And late at night I pray to myself
That you and I got everything we need
Id give it all for you and me
Love is the earth and the wind
And the fire and we share
Love is the force and the edge
And its ready for those who dare
Love is above and beyond
And Im taking you there
(and baby, Ill take you there)
I go above and beyond the sun
Some love never dies
Story of our lives, ohh,
Swear by the stars above
And late at night I pray to myself
That you and I got everything we need
Id give it all for you and me
Love is the earth and the wind
And the fire and the soul
Love is the key and the cause
And its makin us whole
Love is the force and the edge
And its yours if you dare
Love is above and beyond
And Im taking you there
(baby, Ill take you there)
I go above and beyond the sun
Some love never dies
Story of our lives, ohh,
Swear by the stars above
And late at night I pray to myself
That you and I got everything we need
Id give it all for you and me

Mother Earth Gods Wonder

The infinity of space filled by the maker in a nano second
Makes galaxies with burning stars orbitally beckon

Planets to fly turning in their orbit,
Mother Earth Gods wonder creation to fit

Orbits round the sun the giver of her life to justify
The gift for mankind we must thank the Lord for ever high.

The Earth's baby Moon caress's the night time stars
We all look in wonder from Venus to Mars,

Forever and ever we must look after this planet of blue
With faith that is strong every day that is new,
Hallelujah and Amen.

The Song Of The Beggar

I am always going from door to door,
whether in rain or heat,
and sometimes I will lay my right ear in
the palm of my right hand.
And as I speak my voice seems strange as if
it were alien to me,

for I'm not certain whose voice is crying:
mine or someone else's.
I cry for a pittance to sustain me.
The poets cry for more.

In the end I conceal my entire face
and cover both my eyes;
there it lies in my hands with all its weight
and looks as if at rest,
so no one may think I had no place where-
upon to lay my head.

Falling Stars

Do you remember still the falling stars
that like swift horses through the heavens raced
and suddenly leaped across the hurdles
of our wishes--do you recall? And we
did make so many! For there were countless numbers
of stars: each time we looked above we were
astounded by the swiftness of their daring play,
while in our hearts we felt safe and secure
watching these brilliant bodies disintegrate,
knowing somehow we had survived their fall.

Heartbeat

Only mouths are we. Who sings the distant heart
which safely exists in the center of all things?
His giant heartbeat is diverted in us
into little pulses. And his giant grief
is, like his giant jubilation, far too
great for us. And so we tear ourselves away
from him time after time, remaining only
mouths. But unexepectedly and secretly
the giant heartbeat enters our being,
so that we scream ----,
and are transformed in being and in countenance.

Night-Night (Children)

Night-night moon
Night-night stars
Night-night noisy

Night-night sand box
Night-night toys
Night-night other

Night-night mom
Night-night dad
Night-night Boogie Man
who's not bad.

It's time to go to sleep now,

Were There Really Diamonds In The Sun?

THE night is
diamond studied

we refer to the stars
all glowing
in the vastness of space
as we lie
rested on the rooftops
of our restlessness

AT noon
i look at the sun
i am blinded by the fury of its light

You must be wrong
i have not seen diamonds
in the middle of the strongest day

THE sun at night
is so faraway
for by then it regains its true nature back

it is just one of the stars
at night
as we have long
misconstrued it
at day

Song

(From the diaries of Malte Laurids Brigge)

You, whom I do not tell that all night long
I lie weeping,
whose very being makes me feel wanting
like a cradle.

You, who do not tell me, that you lie awake
thinking of me:--
what, if we carried all these longings within us
without ever being overwhelmed by them,
letting them pass?

Look at these lovers, tormented by love,
when first they begin confessing,
how soon they lie!

You make me feel alone. I try imagining:
one moment it is you, then it's the soaring wind;
a fragrance comes and goes but never lasts.
Oh, within my arms I lost all whom I loved!
Only you remain, always reborn again.
For since I never held you, I hold you fast.

Self-Portrait

The steadfastness of generations of nobility
shows in the curving lines that form the eyebrows.
And the blue eyes still show traces of childhood fears
and of humility here and there, not of a servant's,
yet of one who serves obediantly, and of a woman.
The mouth formed as a mouth, large and accurate,
not given to long phrases, but to express
persuasively what is right. The forehead without guile
and favoring the shadows of quiet downward gazing.

This, as a coherent whole, only casually observed;
never as yet tried in suffering or succeeding,
held together for an enduring fulfillment,
yet so as if for times to come, out of these scattered things,
something serious and lasting were being planned.

Extinguish Thou My Eyes

Extinguish Thou my eyes:I still can see Thee,
deprive my ears of sound:I still can hear Thee,
and without feet I still can come to Thee,
and without voice I still can call to Thee.

Sever my arms from me, I still will hold Thee
with all my heart as with a single hand,
arrest my heart, my brain will keep on beating,
and Should Thy fire at last my brain consume,
the flowing of my blood will carry Thee.

The Country Wife

She makes her way through the dark trees
Down to the lake to be alone.
Following their voices on the breeze,
She makes her way. Through the dark trees
The distant stars are all she sees.
They cannot light the way she's gone.
She make her way through the dark trees
Down to the lake to be alone.

The night reflected on the lake,
The fire of stars changed into water.
She cannot see the winds that break
The night reflected on the lake
But knows they motion for her sake.
These are the choices they have brought her:
The night reflected on the lake,
The fire of stars changed into water.

Gathering Water Seas

The Voices

The rich and fortunate do well to keep silent,
for no one cares to know who and what they are.
But those in need must reveal themselves,
must say: I am blind,
or: I'm on the verge of going blind,
or: nothing goes well with me on earth,
or: I have a sickly child,
or: I have little to hold me together...

And chances are this is not nearly enough.

And because people try to ignore them as they
pass by them: these unfortunate ones have to sing!

And at times one hears some excellent singing!

Of course, people differ in their tastes: some would
prefer to listen to choirs of boy-castrati.

But God himself comes often and stays long,
when the castrati's singing disturbs Him.

Your Eyes

The night sky is not a place,
Where I could lost while watching.
That time I would only remember ur face,
But still moons n stars try attracting

I wonder why they are so beautiful!
I could watch them for hour's n hours,
Those two eyes of yours and I give
Damn to those moon n stars.

Stars are millions n your eyes are two
But your eyes are the one to win.
Dear, It's the same mistake they always do
Every night, come to sky n compare with you

Or maybe that's not what they are doing,
They must have known you would be sleeping
In night, so they are taking their chance
Being happy, twinkling in sky and doing dance.

Many would fall in the beauty of the stars
Watching them from roofs, window, street and
Stopping bike and looking through the window of cars
Lost in its beauty and never ending night that's what they demand.

But sorry dear, I also look to the sky.
Laugh at them because I know they are shy
I don't want to see its beauty,
I have a thing to do and I call it my duty.

I ask them not to come to sky ever again
Remember this or else u (stars) would be in a great pain.
I wish if I could destroy then all,
Blast them in pieces with the strongest cannon ball.

Let's leave this and them in their own world.
I know your eyes are too beautiful.
So let me see your eyes until the day is over
I want to lost in its deepness for forever.

Don't try to hide those from me
They are to beautiful so let me see,
Or don't block with your hands or move your head
If I don't see it, still I would be breathing but a man like dead.

So please don't stop me dear,
I can't see it every day,
I am happy, smiling, inside I am dancing
It's all because u came to meet me today…
End

All The Proof We Need

Believe, my friend, in God’s Truth, and your life will be the proof,
As He changes your very life, through the Power of Jesus Christ;
Then your life won’t be the same, as you believe in Jesus’ Name,
And He will use both me and you, as proof His Word is very True.

God gave us, the proof we need; His Truth is what we must heed,
To believe His Truth is required, to know, for us, what He desired,
For all this earth’s human race, and what on earth shall take place,
All spelled out in God’s Revelation, then revealed to every Nation.

God has revealed, in other ways, general revelation, to His Praise,
God’s Creation is in plain sight, offered to all eyes, day and night,
From the stars at night to the sun, His lights are seen by everyone,
Indeed anyone with eyes to see, has witnessed Creation’s Majesty.

Friend, God’s Creation is clear to all, in spite of man’s spiritual fall,
And God, Who created every man, excluded no one from His plan,
But, it is man, who bucks God, doubting Him, with a skeptical nod,
Led away from God by sin, some men want nothing to do with Him.

Man’s obstinacy won’t change Truth; as hard hearts will see reproof,
For all God said, indeed He’ll do, and all shall see His Word is True,
But, today anyone can embrace, all God’s Truth, through His Grace,
And as that one believes in Christ, they too, will receive Eternal Life.

Ancient Angel Ii

Just as i suspected
This dim-layer that suddenly brightened-bright
Inspecting the night
Advertising stars in such a mid-day
Dozing as if descending
With wisp watching whispers
Whispering the wings of their clippers
Drew a bridge of white sings

A thunder stroke
And visiting was the pallars of rain
Running these races of angel brain
The visit was to earth
Seeking the men of earth
The dim-night clouding the ground
Was overshadowed by rhymes
These rhymes rusting
Born of acrostic
Tortured the sky sounding
O my greatest surprise
They were singing
