Suffer Age

Compressed youthful voices
Suffer age
Below John's floors
Spoilage
Lingering death
Gagging your fears
Dead in horror
Grizzly facial stare

Unbelievable atrocity
Hateful monstrosity
Draining scientific minds
Pathological deeds
Creator
Executionor
Heresy
God's vision destroyed

Sinister joker
Childhood dreams
Laughing corruption

Compressed youthful voices
Suffer age
Below John's floors
Spoilage

Voices from beyond

Voices from beyond and afar.
Are talking to my adding to my fears.
They are driving me mad.
Sending me around the bend.
Making life all the more twisted.

Voices grind me down.
Keep it to myself.
I wont let on.
Not that people who should listen do anyways.

The voices are after me pushing me
Into an early grave.
They want me dead.
And they want me gone

Sonnet: On Corruption Today

God, thwart the moves of men with minds insane;
Their corruption has reached enormous heights;
And masking all their crimes, righteous they feign;
Ill-gotten wealth, giving them sleepless nights!

How long this land can bear their insults, Lord?
How longer must the poor suffer hard-ships?
The corrupt own most resources, O God;
Most transactions are carried out by ‘tips’!

The people have been cheated for ages;
The poor are made poorer by corrupt men;
The employees get paid paltry wages.
For honest folk, the earth is no haven!

Most lives are endangered by corruption;
The world does need a cleansing eruption!

I Suffer The Night

I suffer the night
When it's time to face my sadness
And all I can do is cry

I suffer the night
When I struggle to find rest
Knowing in the morning I must rise

I suffer the night
When alone in the darkness
I wonder why I am alive

I suffer the night
When I succumb to blackness
And finally stop asking why

I suffer the night
As it battles my mind
And my spirit slowly dying

I suffer the night
As I reach for the light
And pray that my death be kind

Voices Cryin Out

Voices cryin out, voices cryin out
Voices cryin out in the night hear them call
Voices cryin out hear them call
Its a night
Like no other night
Its a day
Almost turning grey
Its a heart
Like a broken heart
Its a wheel
At the end of day
Its the plight
Of a boy whos scared
Of the waves rushing out
And the wind in the air
Its the sight
Of one longing to taste
Of life
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Visions that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices crying out hear them call
Its a song
Of a love unsung
Its the pain
Of just being young
Its a cry
Of a voice unheard
Of a face
Speaking silent words
Its the hope
That the time goes by
Take you upon a wing
Teach your soul to fly
Its a wish
That youll live your experience life
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Vision that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices crying out hear them call
Oh do you know how it feels to be free
Walking your path of life
Embracing destiny one day at a time
Voices cryin out...oh cant you hear them
Voices cryin out...listen please, listen to the future
Voices cryin out...millions and millions and millions of voices
Voices cryin out...oh oh oh oh
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Vision that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices crying out hear them call
Voices crying out in the night hear them call
Voices from some foreign shore
Vision that seem an incredible dream
Echoing for more
Voices cryin out
Voices cryin out
Voices cryin out...

Sonnet: When Trials Come …

When trials come more often than I bear,
I ask myself, “Must Christians all suffer? ”
Most worldly people appear to well fare;
“Are tribulations for purpose better? ”

“Why does God let the evil harm the good? ”
“Oh, how much longer must I endure, Lord? ”
“Do I suffer for sins of my childhood? ”
“Perhaps, my faith’s being tested by God? ”

God does not give us strife beyond limits;
He wants to make us better Christians fast;
But Satan tries to turn souls into bits;
God gives us ‘Crown of Life’ by trials vast!

When trials come, devils to us liest;
Our suff’rings aren’t greater than that of Christ!

The Aftermath of youthful shenanigans

The Aftermath of youthful shenanigans
I taste the blood of my bodies vessels cans
From the aftermath of youthful shenanigans

My eyes are closing
My mind is wandering
My soul is flying
All over like a grasshopper hopping
From one place to another
If I am not careful my soul might distance
Itself from my body for ever

The aftermath of youthful shenanigans
First the rakus booing
Then the sheer physical moment
Of punching and kicking
Now I am lying on the floor unconscious
Considering giving up the ghost
Till I am awakened by the sounds of youthful boasts
Whispering of getting rid of the evidence
Along the coast
And drinking afterwards to a toast

My body is aching
Its pain is immense
I don’t even have time to ask
What have I done to deserve this

Suddenly the voices disappear
I can see everyone from the air
Having loads of fun
By sending out my images on their mobile phones
A sudden bright daylight
And below shows me dressed up as white
A voice is urging me to give up the fight

I close my eyes
This most be a dream
Like in the movie films
I open my eyes again
I see a young boy
Hanging from a tree
Kids are laughing
While he is struggling so hard to be free
What has become of us
What has become of we
The sounds of noises
Sets them on the road to flee

This is the epitome of youthful madness
A sheer pinnacle of human sadness

Sonnet: When Things Go Amiss!

When worldly people cause upsets in life,
And times keep changing for the worse for you-
The principled-good suffer in strife:
You have to still your duty rightly do!

Our earthly troubles can’t worry us long;
Our grief and joys are also transient;
Our conscience tells us what is right and wrong;
Our lives are guided by the Omniscient.

Our tormentors will suffer for their wrongs;
Our sufferings end like the seasons too;
Our ears will hear consoling, pleasant songs;
Mysteriously, many things God can do!

No failures need upset our minds for long;
God fills the air soon with His happy song.

Strategically Used

Like a tool to undo...
All that is good.
For the purposes to implant,
A controlling that enhances.
One's chances to produce fools...
Does not harvest what is expected.

A success envisioned to become accepted...
Like a scientific test that rejects a manifesting,
Is not a timidness that is fed to breed.
But a monster that frightens,
And bites the hand that feeds a grandiose plan...
That poisons those of manipulating minds.

Finding themselves spiritually destroyed!
On precious land where they now suffer and beg.
And endlessly strategically used instead.
In an effective process...
That leaves them mentally dead.
With lives once lived in selfishness finished.

‘The Weight’s too much For Me! ’ We say.

Many a time, we question God,
“Why should I suffer in these ways?
Will I not see some better days?
I wish I were dead than alive! ”

‘The weight’s too much for me! ’ we say.
‘The burden seems too heavy, God;
How longer must I walk this way?
Do I deserve this unfair rod? ’

Ev’n Moses tried to query God.
‘Why should I lead these people bad?
Is it my fate I should suffer?
Isn’t there any reprieve for me? ’

‘Why treat me in this mean way, God? ’
Please kill me outright, if You want;
I can’t bear this ignominy!
Am I to suffer for others?

The living God we know is fair;
He cares for us and loves us much;
He loves us more than we deserve;
He won’t permit trials galore!

God knows the human limits well;
God knows each one’s weaknesses too;
He does not test hearts overly;
God is a merciful Being!

Why fret and fume and question God?
Why murmur, grumble against God?
God doesn’t forsake nor abandon:
God knows the limits we can take!

‘O’er-burdened, come to me for rest! ’
-Lord Jesus Christ tells us often.
Trust in the Lord. Things will be fine;
Nothing’s impossible for God!

And The Children Laughing

Ah......
Well, I been working up a fever trying to
Straighten up the mess in my mind about this place
I cant contain myself anymore
Cant you see its written all over my face
Why dont you get on your feet
Its about time you got to think
What ever happened to peace
Well open your eyes and youll see children laughing,
Voices singin ,hearts a-beatin ah.....
Your always talkin right and talkin about
The world and its corruption and moral decay
But what you gonna do about it , nothing ,
cause youre more like children then children while they play
Why youre so clean through and through you wont shake hands
With a negro whos maybe cleaner then you
Well listen around and youll hear children laughin ,
Voices singin , hearts a-beatin like they always do
So whats wrong with you , ah...
Youre so blown up with anger about the world
You write the songs about
Yet you dont even know your neighbors name
Now you want to go the the moon and live there
When you know itll only end up the same
How can he give you any gratitude,
With your endless sickenin attitude
You strive to get ahead
But you leave each other dead
Cant you see , children laughin ,
Voices singin , hearts beatin like they always do
So whats wrong with you , ah...
Children laughin , voices singin hearts beatin
Children laughin , voices singin , (fade)

Nine Voices

Anderson/squire/howe/white/sherwood/khoroshev
On a beach
North africa
Nine tribesmen stand alone
Waiting for a distant call
Waiting for the world to answer
Thru' the night of a thousand stars
Encircled by the light
They began to sing a new song
Of forces that surround us
Nine voices
This dialogue
Nine voices
Singing as one
Nine voices
This dialogue
Nine voices
When the sun came up they sang
As the perfect calendar says
Each had the power of people
Speaking new languages
They gave forgiveness meaning
New ways of letting go
Each child is born for greatness
With forces that surround them
This voice

Mariposa

Butterflies are white and blue
In this field we wander through.
Suffer me to take your hand.
Death comes in a day or two.

All the things we ever knew
Will be ashes in that hour,
Mark the transient butterfly,
How he hangs upon the flower.

Suffer me to take your hand.
Suffer me to cherish you
Till the dawn is in the sky.
Whether I be false or true,
Death comes in a day or two.

Corruption Is Global

Corruption is a global phenomenon
It has gained in roads into every sphere and level
People are so fed up of the monster
It is high time, it must be destroyed

Corruption is so rampant
It poisons every society
Sparing none in its wake
The common man most suffers

Corruption is an incurable disease
It cannot be wiped out but curbed
Politics and governments thrive by it
The end of the road is unclear

Nigeria: The slumber

Nigeria, a people that suffer
A people that strive, a people that hunger
A people in a dark, deep and dangerous slumber
A people whose greed, ignorance and corruption linger
Whose deep wound heals on one side
but bleeds on the other
A people dragged into the mud
by those that arise from the mud
A people of democracy
A democracy of mediocrity
A democracy of evil greed
A democracy of rotten seed
A people of careless leadership
A people of spineless followership
Nigeria,
A plastic face
A prideless deep
A shameless she
Of salvage leaders
Nigeria, my country
Drowning in the pool of its blood
Spilled by its children
Nigeria, my country,
Moving in a circle
A cycle of religion
A cycle of tribe
A cycle of corruption
A cycle of destruction
Nigeria, my people
A people that suffer
A people that thirst
A people that hunger
A people in a deep, dark and dangerous slumber
A people whose light grows dimmer
Whose hope grows slimmer
Till eyes rise from the slumber
And greed appreciates hunger
And true voices shout like thunder
And willed feet stump and say no longer! !
Nigeria,
A people that suffer
A people that hunger
A people in a dark, deep and dangerous slumber….

Darkest Night Of The Year

I feel a change coming over me
It seems I felt this way before
I sense the sound your eyes wont let you see
I cant take it anymore
Crashing windows, crash
Laughing voices, keep on laughing,
Oh, oh, oh
Stop for a minute
Chorus:
I chase the shadows and light
To a palce no one knows
I hear the screams of the wind
And I know its the
Darkest night of the year
Cant tell the dreams from reality
My fears are one and the same
So who made me part of destiny
Who made me part of their game
Cant you feel it hurt
Too much pain to endure
Stop for a minute
(chorus)
Cold wind on my skin
Is the pain that I feel when youre near
Its a midnight street
Where well meet
And well run from the
Darkest night of the year
Crashing windows, crash
Laughing voices, keep on laughing,
Oh, oh, oh
Stop for a minute
(chorus)

Voices

I knew this would happen and I dont want to be around
When it gets out.
Ive closed the last picture and painted the windows
Inside and out.
Give me your dreams and Ill give you my time,
Together well cross the borderline.
Voices - cracking the night,
Voices - that cut like a knife,
Voices - hear them singing...
From sparks to the fire, from here to obsession they cover the end.
Twisting a match and see the reflections of hunters of men.
Give me your dreams and Ill give you my time,
Until we make it to the borderline.
Voices...

The Absence Of Mind

There is an elephant in the room it’s in the corner eating my
straw mattress the one I have had since childhood and could
not bear to get rid of, because all my dreams are hidden in
the stalks of cereal plants; white now as an old man’s beard,
yet soft as the fleece of a spring born lamb.

Ah, memory of a good life lived; sing for m let me write down
what happened so long time ago when time was forever and
forgetfulness was a youthful distraction on a jubilant day.
Poor memory is more sinister now, what is forgotten will not
be remembered, so I need my dreams.

It is true that once upon a time I was seafarer, but since I do
not recall well, I have to invent my tales, yet I have seen and
feared the irate sea. I must write all this down if the elephant
eat the last straw my dreams will be blank screen.
