When I close my eyes I can trace
every line upon your face.

Fighting-Chance

He has a fighting-chance of working with his figment,
The figment he remembers for all his long-term memory.
A field of ingoing thoughts waits to be proclaimed,
The jeep of all worries is in his whole span of life.
The jaws of youth were closed and it felt like a jaunt
That carried from noisome events, stupid occasions,
The nocturnal ideas indicated new options of disgust.
By the off chance, a thought collected to straighten,
But it turned out that the figment was reddening his face.
The figment of imagination, an officious training of the mind,
Protected him as if, and one day felt like a bird’s rectrix,
For the imagination was given revenge afterwards.
The reuse of the thoughts gained pace, speeded up,
And returfed the spectrum of thought called the Mind.

Accustomed To Her Face

Out of the dark I see a face
one of beautiful and sincere complex
I wish I knew when that face would come
and guide me to a better place.
This face, I seem to know from somewhere
It still exists, not only as a figment of my imagination,
but rather, one in a desperate situation for me.
That face whose is it? but someone's
Those eyes, what do they see? but a story
Her mouth and lips, what could they do?
but speak and smile to me.
That expression, whose is it? but mine to see;
I try and understand the message conveyed.
Has it ever occurred to anyone that it might be the one for me?
In a world of fantasy I deem she's mine,
but who else could she belong to?
I find it hard to realise the position
of what I have witnessed has put me in.
Who would possibly keep her away from me?
but someone like myself, I'm sure she knows.
It is the only answer I can offer.
Then I may have a twin in the world;
perhaps my one and only adversary
in my love dream yet to come true.
The face has gone back into the gloom
Her face has gone...............................

Why did she appear as if with news?
Back into the past I think for clues....
Not just to haunt or torment me it seems
but to remind me that she exists in reality.
Not only just as someone out of my dreams
making the hope of finding her an actuality.

On My Way

With no shadow and no image,
I wonder on my way,
a figment of someone’s imagination
that disappears in the dawning light.
Still I wander on my way
looking for somewhere to settle,
always looking, and never finding
that place to settle down
where I can rest forever
until my time comes.
Still I wander on my way
with hope that one day
my restless wanderings
will finally be through.
If you see me,
I will be thought of as a dream
or a figment of your imagination
as I have no shadow and no image
to test the light of day.

Dream Lover...

There are moments when I believe that you are real.
Yet all of me knows that you are just a dream.
The figment of a dreamers heart, bereft of love for so long.
A desperate longing of this lost and lonely soul.
Those wonderful times in my fantasy world.
When I can feel your soft touch stirring my emotions.
Your lips on my lips, your heart beating against mine.
Your hot breath on my skin, as we embrace as lovers do.
Then I open my eyes to gaze upon you, and there is no one there.
And when I realise you are not real, tears begin to fall from my eyes.
For once again my heart is empty, my soul is lonesome.
And I am left wanting for my dream to come true...

She's Saving Me

we were sitting round a dying fire
somebody lit incense
somebody lit a cigarette
and passed a bottle around
it was just strawberry season
backbreaking pickers in the patches
everythings burning down to ashes
and down to the ground
she's saving me
i don't even think she knows it
it's a strange way to show it as distant as
last nights dream unravels

i'm a very lost soul

the size of my land locked travels
i try to put it aside
but it's too much bigger than me
there's a big brown hawk in the tree
