Live the Precious Now

Hug the now and soak in it
It won’t last long.
Worth immeasurable,
Yet span cruelly finite,
Live the now fast
Before it leaves you!
Burn in the fires of now
Embrace the golden flame
Let your hands hold the sparks
It would die down real fast!
Ah, the warmth of now
Let it not melt between your fingers
Or finds you napping
While it comes!
Grab it you must
Between an irrelevant past
And an uncertain future
That precious you call “just now”
Make most of it,
It dies down fast!

For Mel (villanelle)

The one who should have lived has gone so fast.
The old ones, in their dotage, linger on –
they, with no future, live only in the past.

And we who can but sit, dumb and aghast,
scarcely believe that while the sun still shone
the one who should have lived has gone so fast.

Six decades older, surviving to their last
few days or years, together but alone,
they, with no future, live only in the past.

At least she kept on living to the last,
but should have had a future. She has none.
The one who should have lived has gone so fast,

and they, for whom so many years have passed,
are unaware that one they loved is gone.
They, with no future, live only in the past,

mark time until the final trumpet blast,
and never know the respite they have won.
The one who should have lived has gone so fast.
They, with no future, live only in the past.

Hold Fast To The Right

Come and sit by the side of your mother my boy
You have only a moment I know
And stay while I give you this parting advice
It is all that I have to bestow
Hold fast to the right hold fast to the right
Wherever your footsteps may roam
Oh for sake not the the way of salvation my boy
That you've learned from your mother at home
In your satchel you'll find there's a Bible my boy
It's the book of all others the best
It will teach you to live and prepare you to die
And will take to the gates of the blest
Hold fast to the right hold fast to the right...
[ ac.guitar ]
Hold fast to the right hold fast to the right...
Oh hold fast to the right

Fast Buck Freddie

He said hold a dollar bill up to the mirror
And Ill show you something funny
Its only a fast buck, but
Its so hard to make that kind of money.
Now its hard to get serious when the joker
Is laughing
And by now the joker is wild
Its hard to keep laughing when a rich mans
Reflection
Looks like a gun thats gonna smile
Whats going on, I ask you
Whats going on, can you see?
Whats going on, I ask you and
Whos coming on, is it you or me?
Coming on while its still soft and warm
Burn it dry before the fiery storm
Sing it now while you still have a song
Grab on now while youre still feeling strong.
How long, how long would you like it
How long, how long will it be
How long, how long can we take it?
How long before we take it back, you and me
Think fast.
I was thinking that I should be singing along
Think fast I think hes coming thru
Think fast, he thinks hes running you
I was thinking that I should be singing along
Think fast, he thinks hes coming in
Think fast, I think hes wearing thin
I was thinking that I should be singing along
Think fast, hes taking all your time
Think fast, you know hes out of line
But who cares, you know you can, you will, you
Know you can.
Sing it now while you still
Sing it now while you still
Sing it now while you still have a song.

Life's Too Short To Love This Fast

You say hello, I say goodbye
You go your way and I go mine
There's not much time for you and I these days
We work too hard, we're gone too much
And we're too tired to even touch
So just how long can we go on this way
Oh, life's too short to love this fast
If we don't slow down our hearts won't last
We can't keep up this pace we're on right now
We burn the candle at both ends
The circle turns, we start again
Let's make our future better than our past
Life's too short to love this fast
Let's take some time, let's get away
Let's pack our bags and leave today
Girl, anyplace would be okay right now
Just leave your pager here at home
And I won't carry my cell phone
We need to find some time alone somehow
Yeah, life's too short to love this fast
If we don't slow down our hearts won't last
We can't keep up this pace we're on right now
We burn the candle at both ends
The circle turns, we start again
Let's make our future better than our past
Life's too short to love this fast
--- Instrumental ---
We're spinnin' our wheels
Forgetting how love feels
Let's slow down before it's too late
'Cause life's too short to love this fast
If we don't slow down our hearts won't last
Let's make our future better than our past
Life's too short to love this fast
Love this fast
Life's too short...

Crash

Back it up, back it up
You got it, you got it
Put your hands up, put your hands up, put your hands up
You got it, you got it
Drive back baby to me, fast in your car
I'm here waiting, crash into me real hard
[2x]
I wander round the room and I'm getting things ready
I picture you driving, just like Mario Andretti
I got the cush, Kettle One, waiting for your engine
Your Grand Prix attention, it's gonna be a party
Don't forget to make a U-turn
I see you left your blinker on
I got it rolled and ready here to burn
Meet me back at home (a-oh, a-oh)
Drive back baby to me, fast in your car
I'm here waiting, crash into me real hard
[2x]
Driving fast in your car
I've got you tracked on my radar, oh
It's just such a trip, how you're still my speed racer
You got me so addicted, just like a free-baser
I want you all over me like L.A.M.B.
So get here A.S.A.P., it's gonna be a party
Don't forget to make a U-turn (don't forget to get here)
I see you left your blinker on (you see, I want to get it on)
I got it rolled and ready here to burn
Meet me back at home (you know you need me so come back)
Drive back baby to me, fast in your car
I'm here waiting, crash into me real hard
[2x]
Now you know you're qualified
You're in the pole position
Put it in first gear, step on the pedal and drive fast
Back it up, back it up
You got it, you got it
Back it up, back it up
You got it, you got it
Put your hands up, put your hands up, put your hands up
You got it, you got it
Put your hands up, put your hands up, put your hands up
You got it, you got it
(I'm ready for you)
Drive back baby to me, fast in your car
(Me and you boo)
I'm here waiting, crash into me real hard
(Don't make me wait too long)
Drive back baby to me, fast in your car
(For me and you boo)
I'm here waiting, crash into me real hard
Come on baby, please hurry up, you know I'm waiting for you

Gratefulness Cripples The Speed

How fast the monkey leaves the lower
that fast it reaches the upper branches.
How fast you forget the old
That fast you get the new,
That fast you grow fast.
The grateful men just linger
Holding the same brnach.

Anna Hazare – Icon of Anti-Corruption War In India

He fights for just a cause,
A righteous man because;
He garners support much;
And has a golden touch!

He aims to serve brethren;
Through them God in heaven;
The country’s gone corrupt;
But bill can’t come abrupt!

He won many laurels;
Today, he just quarrels;
He wants to cleanse the land;
He has clean slate and hand!

Yet, precious is his life;
Corruption is so rife;
He ought to set time-frame;
But who will take the blame?

Anna must end his fast;
Don’t worry about past;
His health in danger lies;
A starved tree always dies!

Let’s trust the Parliament;
We need a firmament;
All things need natural times,
Despite the changing climes!

Adamant stir doesn’t work;
Unbending can much irk;
Each bill needs much debate;
Corruption must abate!

Respect the law-makers;
Don’t join the law-breakers;
Good people are with you;
All righteous, you can woo.

Call off your fast, Sir, fast;
Bury ill-feelings past;
Allow a fair debate;
No one must you ev’r hate!

All things must start off first;
Do not invite the worst;
You must stay healthy, live;
Bees can build newer hive!

Love is the key weapon;
’Tis mightier than the pen;
A patient man will win
A war that is not sin!

Give up your fast now, man;
God grant you long life-span;
Live for your ailing land;
Now, wave your magic wand!

India is sacred soil;
You have given your toil;
Prudence must rule your mind;
With God, a win, you’ll find!

Give up your fast now, Sir!
Just continue your stir;
The bill will come for sure;
With it, corruption’s cure!

Anna, you are so great;
Call fast before date;
God beside you does stay;
Soon will come your D-day!

‘my plea to Anna Hazareji
on behalf of all honest Indian citizens’

We Live So Fast

Please dont ask me to stay
Im leaving this town
Dont worry now
Believe me as I believe that
Luck is on my side
The future is mine
If I can find
A way through these strange days of my life
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen
The streets deserted and cold
Theyre not paved with gold
But I dont care
For those who think young will still survive
Making their move
Hoping to prove
That they can face
This big city, small world, big time
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen
But now I know their ways
I found my place
Saw their true face
Theres nothing to stay for so Ill go
Ill pick up the phone
Still searching for home
We life so fast
Alone but not lonely I move on
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen

The Blue Stare

Your eyes,
The blue stare surrounds me.
They only make you stronger still.
Feeling this way
Wont get you anywhere.
Your hands,
They offer me to hold them.
Lips kiss,
They trick me into showing them.
But sure I want to, still.
Im loud,
As far as I can tell.
Fast times, fast rides, fast cars
Could take me down
To the direction,
The reflection that you bring.
Ive bee scared too long
To show you how I feel.

Fast Train

Written by: myles goodwyn
I read the colors this mornin
I read the colors today
About a man who left from nowhere to be someone
And every day he has to pay in every way
I met a man from new york city
He spoke of things Ive yet to find
A good man driven from his homeland
Tryin to find some piece of mind
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train

Ancient Train

I'm a little boy
In the world today
Trying to live his life
In the grown up way
Sometimes I get so scared
That I can hardly move
But I'm a little boy
With a lot to prove
Somedays go by so fast
Sometimes I wonder
How long will this young boy last
Now I'm an ancient train
Going down the track
I always make my way
I'm never turning back
Because my wheels are old
Sometimes it rides real slow
But I'm an ancient train
With a place to go
And I used to ride so fast
Sometimes I wonder
How long will this old train last
Sometimes this song goes fast
Sometimes I wonder
How long will this old song last

Slow Down

So far from where I started out
So far from where I wanna be
Listening for answers in the wind
But cant find a rock to plant my feet
Looking for love in all the wrong places
Down on my knees and now Im praying for patience
I know theres gotta be a better way
In the back of my mind I hear my momma say
Slow down, baby youre going too fast
You got you hands in the air
With you feet on the gas
Youre bout to wreck your future
Running from your past
You need to slow down before
You go down baby
Thinking the faster that I go
The faster (that) I will reach my goal
The race is not given to the swift
But to the one who endureth
I thought that all my obstacles were behind me
Walking around like Im made out of diamond
I tripped and fell and it remindedme
Move over and let my angels guideme
Slow down, baby youre going too fast
You got you hands in the air
With you feet on the gas
Youre bout to wreck your future
Running from your past
You need to slow down before
You go down baby
Sometimes you gotta be still
Before you can get ahead
Be still
Ask the universe for help
Be real
You cant do it all by yourself
Ah, no no
Sometimes, sometimes you gotta be still
It take some time to reach you and they
Be still
Take some time to clear your space
Be real
Chaos isnt good for your health
Ah, no no, ahhh
Cuz Im breaking things and losing things
I lost my cell phone again the other day
Now, I dont wanna live this way, no
In the back of my mind I hear my mama say
Slow down, baby youre going too fast
You got you hands in the air
With you feet on the gas
Youre bout to wreck your future
Running from your past
You need to slow down before
You go down baby
(slow down baby)
Slow down (baby)
Youre going too fast
Slow down (baby)
Feet on the gas
Slow down (baby)
Run from your past
Slow down baby (4x)

A Song Of The Future.

Sail fast, sail fast,
Ark of my hopes, Ark of my dreams;
Sweep lordly o'er the drowned Past,
Fly glittering through the sun's strange beams;
Sail fast, sail fast.
Breaths of new buds from off some drying lea
With news about the Future scent the sea:
My brain is beating like the heart of Haste:
I'll loose me a bird upon this Present waste;
Go, trembling song,
And stay not long; oh, stay not long:
Thou'rt only a gray and sober dove,
But thine eye is faith and thy wing is love.

Red book - The Rule Is You Must Say How You Really Feel.

Reading the red book. It tries to explain the rules of life. Never too fast, never too fast, it says it won't last. Burnt by the past. Some new so close to you. You must get to know them. Its a game you can slowly win. Bury your true feelings.

Reading the read book. It tries to explain the rules of life. Never to fast, never too fast. It says it won't last burnt by the past. We are all wearing masks. Time to take them off. Stop hiding behind your walls. It cost us all. It will be your down fall. Just another phone call. Meeting the face behind this stall. It has come to a sudden halt.

Reading the read book. It tries to explain the rules of life. Never too fast, never too fast. It says it won't last. Burnt by the past. Are we trying to hard? Are we faking this march? Are you trying to hide something underneath? Are you look for a little relief? Do you want me, and are afraid to say it? Denying our insides. They can't be alive. They just can't. And go back to the old dance.

Reading the red book. It tries to explain the rules of life. Never too fast, never too fast. It says it won't last. Burnt by the past. Memories ignite, previous passions locked up so tight. Are you willing? Are you giving in to obvious feelings. Let me know. And I won't go. Please stop the fruadlent show. Its faking thats so heart breaking. Is your heart aching? How can I make you understand this is your one and only chance. So please lets dance.

Reading the red book. It tries to explain the rules of the past. Never too fast, never too fast. It says it won't last. Burnt by the past. I have been burnt by the past.

Before Our Weakness Gets To Strong

What are we doing in this place alone is our desire to relive our past this strong
True love we knew in the past is gone but our weakness lingers on
Let's go home before our weakness gets too strong
Long ago we let the flame of love burn out of control
Now we have no reason to reach for love that has grown cold
If we live our past in the present our future will be gone
Let's go home before our weakness gets too strong
[ fiddle ]
Line with temptation we raced into the past
On a road too small to let the past and the present pass
Are we going too fast to turn back and leave the past alone
Let's go home before our weakness gets too strong
Long ago we let the flame...
Let's go home before our weakness gets too strong

We Want Peace

Here it is once again in our face
Why havent we learned from our past
Were at the crossroads of the human race
Why are we kicking our own ass
We want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace
And we want it fast
We want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace
And we want it fast
Were on the eve of destruction my friends
We are about to go too far
Politicians think that war is the way
But we know that love has the power
We want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace
And we want it fast
We want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace
And we want it fast
The solution is simple and plain
There wont be peace if we dont try
In a war there is nothing to gain
And so many people will die
We want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace
And we want it fast
We want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace, we want it
Yes we want peace
And we want it fast

When Someone Comes Into Your Life

When someone comes into your life
Take a chance, my love
Forget all the pain thats inside
Open up your heart
Youll forget as shes touching
Your face that I once held you
In my embrace
It might even feel right when you
Kiss her goodnight and not me
If someone should hold down her hand
Make her yours, my love
Dont know how long it may last,
Oh, how fast love goes
Youll forget me one day, dont you know
But your memories Ill never let go
I will love you the same as I did that
First day I found you
When someone comes into your life
Never close the door
What youre looking for
Might be in your arms at last
Dont run away
When someone comes into your life
Hold fast
When someone looks into your eyes
Dont refuse their love
You cant live the rest of your life
With a broken heart
Youll forget me one day, dont you know
But your memories Ill never let go
And when love comes to stay
I hope she loves you the way
I love you
When someone comes into your life
Never close the door
What youre looking for
Might be in your arms at last
Dont run away
When someone comes into your life
If someone comes into your life
When someone comes into your life
Hold fast, hold fast

Nowhere Fast

We're always on the run these days
We hardly have the time to say
What matters most of all
Ya you've always been the only one
The only one to make me run
Anytime you call
Let's not talk about the future
Let's not talk about the days gone past
All this time - we've been runnin' round in circles
I can feel a change a comin'
And I know we're gonna make it last
From now on - we'll be goin' somewhere slowly
Instead of going nowhere fast
When everything has come and gone
We'll look back on this road we're on
And see how far we've come (ya we've come a long way)
Faster than the days go by
I know we're gonna make them last
Instead of goin' nowhere fast

Breath by Breath

Our moments are precious and
Our time is now.
Use it wisely and use it well!
There is no connecting the past
And future. The presence is the
in-between and only lasts but
Less than a breath.
The presence is so fast,
a blink of an eye and it is the past!
Then are we really living our future with
each inhale and our past goes out
with each exhale?
Are is it really just a pretence of presence?
Future - Past,
Future - Past,
Future - Past!

The Angel Of My Heart

Angel, angel where did u go?
You know I can’t live without you
And that’s because I love u so

Why did this happen?
Why did it be?
All I wanted was to live happily ever after
Just you and me

The time has come
Where you want to say goodbye
But you told me that I was for you
And for your future, the perfect guy

Angel, angel of my dear heart
Please don’t let our love fall apart

The warmth of your flame
It keeps me alive
But I will take the blame
If it does not survive
It’s getting dimmer
Day by day
I think about you
And hope and pray

Angel, angel of my breaking heart
Please don’t let us fall apart

In times of good and bad
In times of pain
Please don’t throw away what we had
You know without you I’d go insane

Angel, angel can’t you see?
Keep fighting to hold on
Come back to me

Time is precious
It is passing fast
Give me another chance
For what happened in the past

I know you love me
I know it’s true
So don’t forget me
Angel, I love you
