Why people don't blog
Why People don't blog?
The reasons are ten.
Some on the clock,
Maybe they can,
Write a blog? They won't
Read a blog? Well, they don't.

I'm not sure blogs are necessarily the best place to get a pulse on anything. People want to blog for a variety of reasons, and that may or may not be representative.

I Am A Very Poor Electronic Man
i don't have emails to read
no one remembers me
i do not have a chat mate
no one likes to talk with me
but i write a poem and
you are reading it today
that makes me the richest man
alive in the internet
on a blog known as PH.
Welcome me as I thank you.

Acronyms
I don't know any acronyms,
but to me it just so seems.
Long, long list, pray tell.
How you did it so well?
Or just your active mind,
That made it up in time,
To post it in your blog,
So people laugh and talk.
I think you've succeeded.
Write another, repeated.
Poetry Blog
my daily online
poetry, a blog
of nothing but
thoughts of
stone, petal,
raindrop,
a threadlike
composition
of colors
and scents
and personalized
designs
depicting
mood swings
moral, amoral
or otherwise
goes and goes
like a train
of thoughts
day by day
chronologically
relevant
trying always
to figure out
who am i
really
it is not to entice
or corrupt
it is merely
a signification of
here i am
are you there too?
no climbing
of ladders
or blowing of horns
no choir
of angels
or boasting
of this
oh my God
what a coincidence
you think
the way i think
nope, there is nothing
worthy of my poetry
even myself
this write, all the poems
but a poetry blog
and so by now
express your angst
shout, rage,
cool dude, subdue
subdued
a stream
of consciousness
the turtle swimming in the
deepest part of
this ocean
clouds like cotton
submerging
to your pond
i watch, yes, let me watch
i speak, yes, let me speak
truly, i am not interested,
i write,
because i have something to write,
this destiny,
of i cannot get away,
yes, call me a rambling thought,
i am, i am, i am
it is all about, this i am, i am, i am,
today, i am, i am feeling this heaviness
and you sit
in the dark corner, telling me,
why do you write poetry,
and yet here i am dying, and you do not really mind.....
i beg of you,
do not try to figure out, to understand, i beg
of you,
this is nothing, go away, go somewhere
i am a cloud, i drift, i am this space groping for letters,
a word will not do, i beg, i beg of you.....

Freedom. Ivorian sonnet
Because some people disagree
about the rules of poetry.
There’ll always be some argument.
Nobody can define the rules
which leads to widespread discontent.
Some cannot understand it seems,
that every poet has the right.
To choose the way they share their dreams
in any form they choose to write.
I say each poet should be free
to write the way they want to write.
In metered verse with rhyming schemes
or try some new experiment.
No one can dictate how you write.

You know, some of the good part of blog theory was that blogs would be like diaries that the world could read. They would be spontaneous, whatever pops into your mind, as a diary would be.

Reading light for M lady Ernestine
Silver moonlight illuminates
small garden plots and vast estates.
It does not differentiate.
Between the low born and the high.
The gentle ruler of the sky
treats all her children equally.
The goddess demonstrates her care
Each one receives their rightful share.
She has enough and love to spare..
I have to read by candle light
on nights when there is no moonlight.
Though not tonight the moon is bright.
Moonlight is absolutely free
and it is bright enough to see.
To read or write my poetry.
I hear you say that’s nothing new.
You often write by moonlight too.
Perhaps because most poets do.

Addiction for M lady Kim
Addiction
I’ll exercise self discipline.
Today I will not write a word.
I have decided it’s no sin.
This constant scribbling’s absurd.
I choose a book and start to read
but then some phrase enraptures me.
Quite suddenly I feel the need
I have to write and urgently,
Before my train of thought is lost
I find my pad take up my pen
and writing in the style of Frost.
I find I’m scribbling again.
My muse cannot contain her glee.
She knows that she’s in charge not me.

No Power To The People Mar 4th,2011
If more people read this blog, they would eventually realize,
That things are not all right in Canada despite our huge size,
We need binding referendums and political recall,
We need true set-date elections and not and not just when they call.
We need death with dignity because we are all going to die,
It could be an awful painful death and we don’t know the reason why,
Our wishy washy leadership see no reason to change,
No power to the people and why should that be so strange?
It’s uncomfortable I know because there’s nothing we can do,
Because all these changes are forbidden in case you didn’t know,
Read your daily papers and they will tell you what to think,
Propaganda of the faithful going to the hockey rink,

Enough already.
I sometimes wish my muse would take
a holiday, A longish break.
She is convinced she has the right
to badger me by day and night.
There’s other things I want to do.
I love to write that is quite true
But household chores must still be done.
I’d like a little time for fun
A bit of time to paint and draw
I don’t have time to anymore’
I have some books I want to read
but constantly she fills my head
with poetry, she cannot see
Sometimes I need some time for me.

Flexitime for Friend Denis joe
A blank faced clock which has no hands
must still obey Chronos’ commands.
The minutes pass without display.
Times moves on inexorably
the hours passing speedily
Today replaces yesterday.
Why are men obsessed by the clock
they measure every tick and tock.
What does it matter anyway?
we know that darkness rules the night
and that the day is filled by light.
Some time to sleep and work or play.
Avid clock watchers fail to see
that time can pass variably.

More I Want To Do
I clean and scrub
vacuum and mop;
it goes on and on
and never stops.
There’s laundry
and shopping,
meals to cook too,
bills to pay
and banking to do.
She can have the dust,
the maid I entrust,
with a chore
I can’t handle anymore,
'cause there's other things
I would much rather do
like write and blog
and post at Yahoo.

people are playing games
often they fight, the rules are
changed without notice,
people are killing each other,
the dead lose, the winner is
the living, there is no more
argument about this,
case is closed.
they play their games over
and over again, time is a
room, there are no referees,
no one is just, inherent is
the fraud, the swindler is
the hero, the rich ones have
always crimes behind their
great fortunes,
sometimes they go to court,
judges are made by them
in accordance with their genes,
and those who mold them from
their own clay, are those that
always win
such is the state of affairs,
to cover all these, these twisted
ways, those that have the gold,
invent religion, create society,
write their history, proclaim their
deities, codify their laws, print
the books, carpenter their
own kind of teachers, sculpt
a civilization,
i am a small man, i do not have
many years in my cells, i simply
watch, i do not say much, i keep
my mouth shut, i write a diary,
i keep a journal, i have a blog,
i do facebook, i fit in, i am not
that twisted somehow, i have
objections, i protest inside my
square head, i write in ciphers, i do
not want to be understood, neither
do i want myself to be used.
if you read me, you get nothing.

Unwritten for C.P.Sharma
I bought a new anthology
of poems from the First World War.
I offer no apology
The poetry filled me with awe.
To understand that tragedy
could inspire young poets to write.
Poetry of such great beauty.
To read it is a sacred rite.
I have a strange affinity
with young men cut down in their prime
Who made their mark on history
describing hell in metered rhyme.
I am forced to wonder what
they might have written but could not.

A matter of opinion.
Some people say I am perverse
because I choose to write in verse.
The kind of stories I compose.
They think I ought to write in prose.
They have the right to I suppose.
But I won’t do as they propose.
I much prefer to write in verse
Because I think there’s nothing worse
Than badly written boring prose.
That is the reason why I chose.
To concentrate on rhyming verse.
I see no reason to reverse.
My original decision
to conform to your opinion.
I do not choose to write in prose
I am convinced that I would lose.
My rhyming capability
reducing my ability.
To write my words spontaneously.
I don’t expect you to agree.
Although I am compelled to write.
You’re free to exercise your right
To read or not as you choose to.
Though I confess I hope you do.
I know I can’t please everyone.
That is something that can’t be done
By any writer though they try
A truth no writer can deny.
Your comments are of interest
they spur me on to do my best.
We can agree to disagree
on which is best quite easily.
A poet must choose poetry.
But other writers are quite free.
to share their thoughts written in prose
Because they choose to I suppose.
If you should doubt my competence.
I will not choose to take offence.
You are entitled to your view
Please remember I am too

All-American found poem
“People say
I’ll find a better guy,
but I’m starting to think that
everyone’s pretty much a mess.
We go through break-ups
in order to give us
time to breathe and
recover enough to deal with
another person’s bucket of shit.”

Mutual antipathy.
Mutual antipathy
monotetra
I cannot say with certainty
that I am right though I might be.
You have the right to disagree.
I will consider carefully
the reasons that you offer me.
As to why you can’t agree.
I think that very possibly
there’s little possibility
That you will ever agree with me
You can’t admit that I might be
correct. Because you dislike me.
You are not thinking logically
I cannot claim with honesty
that I am quite prejudice free.
I don’t like you, you don’t like me.
At least on that we can agree.

Absolute Necessity
Absolute necessity
Is poetry a luxury or one of life’s necessities?
I have to read, I have to write poetry a pure delight.
Other poets inspire me.Exploring the variety
of forms and styles that I can find, serves to stimulate my mind.
I do not claim to be the best I am just one amongst the rest
of poets posting on the net. Who you remember or forget.
Is poetry a luxury the answer must be NO from me.
To some it seems a waste of time to other folks it is sublime.
You are quite free to make your choice. But I will always raise my voice.
Applauding poets who can write fine poetry that brings delight,
Uplift the hearts of other men, more power to the poet’s pen.
