House By The Sea

A little house by the sea.
A little sailboat I do see.
In the morning sun,,
Before the day is done
The fisherman's son,
Bring's home the catch.
In a straw bucket,
And hope to fetch,
Profit, central market.

John The Fisherman

When he was young youd not find him doing well in school,
His mind would turn unto the waters.
Always the focus of adolescent ridicule,
He has no time for farmers daughters.
Alienated from the clique society,
A lonely boy finds peace in fishing.
His mother says john this is not the way lifes supposed to be.
Dont you see the life that you are missing?
And he says...
When I grow up I want to be,
One of the harvesters of the sea.
I think before my days are done,
I want to be a fisherman.
Now years gone by we find man that rules the sea.
He sets out on a dark may morning .
To bring his catch back to this small community.
He doesnt see the danger dawning.
Four hours up, oh the ocean swelled and swelled,
The fog rolled in it started raining.
The starboard bow. oh my God were going down!
The do not hear his frantic mayday.
And he says
When I grow up I want to be,
One of the harvesters of the sea.
I think before my days are done,
I want to be a fisherman.
Ill live and die a fisherman.
Calling john the fisherman.

One Bucket Of Water

One bucket of water
Razed the city to ashes.
One bucket of water
Could not quench the fire
Blazing from the town's
Central pump.

One bucket of water
A man held, jumped the
Queue to the pump.
One bucket of water
At the pump, about to
Collect water, resisted.

They stared each other
In the eye. Their tribal
Marks were different.
They threw caution to
The winds. Including
All buckets on the line.

Everyone queued behind
Their tribal marks. And
The city burnt through its
Length and breath. Death
Sprung out of life. And life
Spilled out of the bucket.

Last Straw

I thought telling you how I feel, will change things between us, but it didn't
You don't get what I am saying at all
It's like I'm speaking another language
I'm done wasting my breath on you
We all make mistakes, but you never learn from your
If you can't treat me right, someone else will
Fool me once, twice, and three times, I must be stupid
Can you see all signs I given you?
I want to date you, but I guess you don't
At this point it's the
Last straw
You keep breaking my heart was too much
I just left the house crying in my sleeve
You came chasing me
I just went home
The day before my graduation you came
I hide from you and watching you leave and that was the last time I saw you
It was the
Last straw
I'm not forgiving you and feeling pity anymore
You were immature and don't deserves someone like me
I hope you ache and realized what you been missing
Between you and I, it's the
Last straw

Shortest Straw

Suspicion is your name
Your honesty to blame
Put dignity to shame
Dishonor
Witchhunt, modern day
Determining decay
The blatant disarray
Disfigure
The public eyes' disgrace
Defying common place
Unending paper chase
Unending
Deafening
Painstaking
Reckoning
This vertigo it doth bring
Shortest straw
Challenge liberty
Downed by law
Live in infamy
Rub you raw
Witchhunt riding through
Shortest straw
This shortest straw has been pulled for you
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Shortest straw has been pulled for you
The accusations fly
Discrimination, why?
Your inner self to die
Intruding
Doubt sunk itself in you
It's teeth and talons through
You're living catch-22
Deluding
A mass hysteria
A megalomania
Reveal dementia
Reveal
Secretly
Silently
Certainly
In vertigo you will be
Shortest straw
Challenge liberty
Downed by law
Live in infamy
Rub you raw
Witchhunt riding through
Shortest straw
This shortest straw has been pulled for you
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Shortest straw has been pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Pulled for you
Shortest straw
Shortest straw has been pulled for you
Behind you, hands are tied
Your being, ostracized
Your hell is multiplied
Upending
The fallout has begun
Oppressive damage done
Your many turned to none
To nothing
You're reaching your nadir
Your will has disappeared
The lie is crystal clear
Defending
Channels red
One word said
Blacklisted
With vertigo make you dead
Shortest straw
Challenge liberty
Downed by law
Live in infamy
Rub you raw
Witchhunt riding through
Shortest straw
This shortest straw has been pulled for you

Hope May

Hope comes like a shining light
Hope comes when there is no way in sight
When you lose your heart you lose it all
But Hope is always there to catch you when you fall

When you think you can go on no more
Just hang on you never know what Hope has in store

Hope may bring someone new
Hope may bring someone you choose
Hope may bring a new friend to you
Hope may every say “this person needs a friend to”

Bucket Kicker

What rhymes with bucket?
'That depends.
Is the bucket empty?
And
Is there anyone kicking it? '

Let's say the bucket is full.
And it is being carried?
'In a Porshe?
Or a Mercedes? '

You know
Sometimes I wonder why,
I bother to ask you anything!

'Oh
So 'you're' the kicker?
That should be obvious.'

Why is it obvious now?
'Well,
If a bucket is struck by a kicker out of luck
And that bucket is not picked up,
That bucket struck aint worth
What's being dumped into it from an outhouse.'

What's an outhouse have to do with it?
'That's for you to figure out
That bucket I'm going to carry
Is going to be in the trunk of my limousine.'

Thank you.
But that doesn't rhyme with bucket

'My plucked duckets
In the trunk of a limo
Sitting filled to the brim
In my golden bucket
And your hands aint around
Or near enough to touch it
Uh, I don't know about you
But that sounds very poetic to me

And you can fuss and cuss,
While kicking your bucket all you want
Thank you for your inspiration.'

No problem.
I just know from now on
Not to ask you anything
'I'm cool with that
Bucket kicker.'

The Independent Woman....

we are in this house
that from our sweat built
there are only two of us
in this house
which we have not really
called as home,
something's missing
you give me a hint
not the glass window or
the ceiling fan,
i know it but how can i
tell you?
i won't tell, it will hurt you,
we continue living
somehow
just the two of us in this house

we have our own careers
and every morning we rush to go on our different ways
the night is the only place
of our tryst
we manage to spend time for love
we sleep together and share
what we can

there will be a time when this house shall fall
because it is not a home for us all

there will be one morning when you will finally leave
and take away everything from me

and then i will write it on the wall
this house is never a home,
she never wanted a child to bear.

Persistently Pursuing Piscine Protein

Once again whilst fishing at the beach,
The fish they all stayed out of reach,
I think they knew that I was there,
And so my fish bag it stayed bare.
Nothing in there for me to eat,
The scaly ones had me beat,
But such is the nature of this fisherman,
I'll be trying again as soon as I can,
And next time I'll catch fish a' plenty,
Not going home with my fish bag empty.
This optimism keeps shining bright,
No matter how often on a cold wet night,
I venture out and fail to catch,
I know next time will be game, set, and match.
To me the stupidly determined one,
Who keeps on fishing when all hope is gone!

Luck 2

those without the know
and empty
dispositions gets chosen

just to shame you
on a volunteerism

of morality and goodness
waiting for your
reward from the
heavens

Oh my goodness
he chose the uneducated fisherman
to lead you to
a political glory

a plain housewife to be
president of a country

a baby boy on the
cow's straw house as
his messenger of hope

you see
how jealous could you be
how green-eyed
how shamed

do not think anymore
do not play cute and meek

there are no standards after all
except a broken heart

meek, humble, pure,
and restless

and do not forget: always
to listen.

Ch 03 On The Excellence Of Contentment Story 24

A weak fisherman caught a strong fish in his net and not being able to retain it the fish overcame him and pulled the net from his hand.

A boy went to bring water from the torrent.
The torrent came and took the boy away.
The net brought every time a fish.
This time the fish went and carried off the net.

The other fishermen were sorry and blamed him for not being able to retain such a fish which had fallen into his net. He replied: ‘O brothers, what can be done? My day was not lucky but the fish had yet one remaining. ‘Moral: A fisherman cannot catch a fish in the Tigris without a day of luck and a fish cannot die on dry ground without the decree of fate.

The Fisherman

At night
A man sat there drenched in the dull candle light
He sat there rod in hand
He wished that he might
Be able to catch a fish this night
He liked the pull the thrill the fight
How the fish thrashes on sensing death in sight

On this island so small there is no need for pity
A fisherman knows that killing is not pretty
But to keep money in the pocket
And a belly full of fish
A fisherman must cast out his line
So that someone can have there next dish

It was easy for him
The fisherman I mean
He always enjoyed this scene
Sitting at the edge of the dock
With his bucket, candle, rod, and radio clock

All he has to do is reel in from time to time
Just to check on his bait
And some people are impatient
But he liked the wait
The sea breeze on his face
The sound of crashing waves all over the place
His quiet canopy has fallen around him
The white noise of the ocean could always be broken on a whim

I think he heard us
Because he just shuddered as you caused all the fuss
“You! You think I am lonely, I thank you for your concern”
Turning and smiling his beard looking like a fern
He gnarls his teeth as if he just ate a leaf
“I am happy in this quiet, you can join me if you wish. Just keep quiet”!
“Or you’ll scare away all of my fish”

Anim

I was born by the river and l live by this river,
For at the age of five i fell in love to the river.
I was married at the age of fifteen to a fisherman,
And i've never been to school before;
But my only education is with this river.

The name of my husband is Anim and,
We live by this river;
For my birth and life are all based by this river!
But today, i am old with my children born on this river.
At dawn i go out with my canoe to catch some fish,
And i have a hook to catch some fish at daylight as well;
For this river had been my life ever since.

My husband is a fisherman and,
I was married to him at fifiteen;
And we've lived all our lives on this river.
This is my home and homw of my children,
This is my way of life and of the people around me,
For this river is all that i know in this world.

Sailboat

Let's take a sailboat.
Put on a warm coat.
And we will
Breathe again.
On the Spanish main.
Notes of fantasy,
Those God spells
Are spun.
And land on the waters
Lit by the sun.

Salty seadogs
Still rent the air.
Hornpipes play.
While galaxies stare
A thousand fold
Up above.
Nothing so bold as love
Could command such grace.
And replicate
That sailboat pace.

Let's take a sailboat
And fish for diamonds
Of the moon.
That dance on the waves
Before drowning
With a swoon.
Rays of light
That calm the night
As we head toward the shore.
The beach will be
Our bed tonight.
Let Neptune's passion roar.
Now,
As summer waves its goodbyes.
Our memories
Wipe their eyes.
With poems that I wrote
For you.
On our sailboat.
Lost in blue.

Daddy

Tell me dad when you come back home?
Mom won't get a proper sleep nowadays.
She believes that you do not go to sea again.
Mom is jealous sometimes
and she tells stories of Mermaids.
Not only Mom, myself, brother and twin sisters
We all hate the sea.
Deep sea doesn't have a heart.
The naughty waves bring us sorrow everyday
destroying our sand castles.
One of my friends told me
She dreamed last night a Giant eagerly drinks the whole ocean
with a straw.
I am scared Dad please come back home soon.
I forgot to tell you that I came first in the class.
What you bring for me?
Your loving daughter

Coffeehouse bar stewardess

She blooms in the morning like a coffee flower.
I like that rare flavor and I peep there frequently.
I sit on a bar stool and wait for her to bring my elixir.
When I sip that with a straw I feel like getting more courage
To fight with the Devil's day.
I have been in one evening but she wasn't there and the following morning too.
I gossiped and verified that she already left the place for better prospects.
Since that gloomy day the coffee tasted me bitter like rusty life
And sometimes I drink without a straw.
I scribble on the table mat with a pencil stub.
Let the tricky life turns into a fairy tale to you!
