Similar Backgrounds
even though you are a bit older than me
we share one thing in common
we lived similar lives
and we had done similar things
it's like i knew you years before i actually met you
Our character is just alike
we share humor just the same
and no matter what life may have brought to us
we have shared pain more than we deserved
for you are all i need my maggie
and from one friend to another
i love you
and i'm always gonna be here for you

I Know Him Only As My Neighbour
I know him only as my neighbour and though I see him most every day
For each of us a struggle for to find words for to say
Whenever we come face to face in the park or on the street
'Tis just a hello in passing we don't chat when we meet
The captain of the local golf club similar friends we do not share
For to be elected captain he has to be a good golf player
In local sporting circles he is one quite well known
Like I say we share little in common but then to each their own
Amongst those who share similar interests the bond of friendship does grow
Those who think alike us we wish to get to know
I do see and meet him often though not every day
And a hello in passing is all we have to say.

Black And White So Alike
In my journey in life, I met many people and many issues
and I used many tissues, cried many tears thru the years.
I found people of color are similar to white and alike
in so many ways, they have feelings like white people
and maybe even more, people say to me why you bother
with people of color, I say people are people, color
and white are so alike, have feelings so alike and they
can bond like anyone else, talk for hours and laughs
about little things and big things.
People of color and white are so alike I am greatful to have
met special people in my life, make me feel good when I am down,
make me laugh when I cry, tell me its okay to feel sad, and thats
not bad to feel down sometimes because thats how it is, People of color and white so alike in many ways, they share sorrow and pain, cry
and laugh together, have long or short lunch or just walk
around corner its still something to talk about.
People of color and white so alike in many ways and thats what I say
and I will miss my friend now that she moved on, but our friendship stayed on....

Airtalk
One, two, three, four, five, six.
Its sad that air is the only thing we share,
No matter how close we are theres always air between us.
Its also nice that airs something we all share,
No matter how far apart we are an air links us.
Its sad that past is something we can never share,
No matter how close we are the past is between us.
But its also nice that without the past
Wed have never known each other,
No matter how far apart we are it brought us together.
Yes, its very nice to have someone to share,
Theres something very nice to have someone to care.
We may not share our past but we have our future to share.
Its sad that life is such a heavy thing to bear,
No matter how close we are its easy to despair.
Its also nice that you and I know its what we all share,
No matter how far apart we are we can learn to care.
Theres something very nice to have something to share,
Theres something very nice to have someone to care.
We may not share our bodies but we have our minds to share.
Yes, theres something very nice to have something to care,
Theres something very nice to have someone to share.
We may not share our language but we have the world to share.

Solace Amongst The Sin
Farewell to the west now
And welcome, to the east
Farewell to the one who raked, the sand beneath my feet
Thank you for the space we shared, and the heart and soul my friend
I will see you through the colours, between the mountains as the sun decends
Oh we twisted and we reflected upon a grin
Common ground we walked upon, with common feelings & common things
Yes it is a cruel world, but there is solace amongst the sin
Peace to you for now we'll share again, we'll share again
Farewell to the west now
My mind is open to the east
To all the new faces, new minds & things to see
I am alone here, and my heart at times it weeps
You will see me through the colours, as the sun sinks in the sea
Oh we twisted and we reflected upon a grin
Common ground we walked upon, with common feelings & common things
Yes it is a cruel world, but there is solace amongst the sin
Peace to you for now we'll share again, we'll share again
Oh we twisted and we reflected upon a grin
Common ground we walked upon, with common feelings & common things
Yes it is a cruel world, but there is solace amongst the sin
Peace to you for now we'll share again, we'll share again
We will share again
We'll share again
Hmmm, hmmm, oh my friend we'll share again
Oh we will share again

I' m Gonna Be Around
It's been so long since we took the time
To share words
From deep inside us
We're in our own world spinning our wheels
But you know how I feel
Well since the first time I took your hand
My love for you
Has just been growing
You always seem to understand
You know how I am
(chorus)
I'm gonna love you 'til the end
I'm gonna be
Your very true friend
I wanna share your ups and downs
I'm gonna be around
When you're alone 'cos I'm away
Don't be sad
Don't be afraid
I'm gonna turn my thoughts to you
Like I always do
(chorus)
I'm gonna love you 'til the end
I'm gonna be
Your very true friend
I'm gonna share your ups and downs
I'm gonna be around
Catch you when you fall
Hold you when you're down
Sharing every moment
I wanna show you all I do
I believe I've found a miracle
In you
(chorus)
I'm gonna love you 'til the end
I'm gonna be
Your very true friend
I'm gonna share your ups and downs
I'm gonna be around

There For Me
You've been there for me, through thick and thin;
When my whole world felt like it was caving in.
We have shared many times: the good and the bad;
You have seen me happy; you have seen me sad.
You know me back to front and inside out;
You understand everything that I am about.
You know things I like, and the things I hate.
To me, you are a friend: my very best mate.
We've been good friends now, for many years.
You've seen my smiles; you've seen my tears.
To you, I've often revealed my true inner soul.
Together, we have often achieved many a goal.
When I am down, I can always call on you,
And, you know that you can call on me too.
Together, we have travelled to many places,
And, over the years, we have met many faces.
Talking things over, our problems seem to halve.
Our two lives, to date, have followed similar paths.
We have shared experiences, both old and new.
Luckily, our disagreements have been very few.
You are always prepared to lend me an ear.
You know my obsessions; you know my fears.
Friends, together, I hope we will always stay,
In years to come, when we're both old and grey.

The thing is there have been American movies that are similar to Solaris, like Alien had a lot of things that are similar, although it's also got the horror element.

Not Just When
Lord I want You
In my life
Not just when I need You
Lord I want You
In my life
Not just when I am confused
Not just when I am crying
Not just when I feel like
I am dying
Not just when I feel I am all alone
Not just when my life is going wrong
Lord I want You in my life
For always
When things are going right
To share my happiness
To share my children
To share my family
To share my friends
To share my victories
To share my love
To share my money
So when I feel the need
To call on you every now and then
You will know that it's coming
From a friend! ! ! ! ! !

To My Friend Ben
A friend, a rejoice, It my friend Ben
thinking about you, I took my Pen
Towards all your dreams You did run
and mailing, caring had been always a fun
As the life did unfold with its memorable turn
with loads of love and happiness urn
Jack came in to spread the wings of joy
to make a complete man of a tomboy
Both of you being my friends is my joy
no matter where this life goes and dry
Time did never matter for sure
distance could never takes its lure
for the friendship that withstood all
will never gets lost till i have a fall
We shared happiness, worries and joy
did discuss things crazy and stories of Troy
When ever life had a joy to share
i would only wish you are aware
when ever life had a worry to fret
I have Ben to share and i do bet
Thank you Friend
You are there till the end
Christmas round the corner
You both fill the thoughts to adore
Have a fairy tale days to come
Enjoy you life's ride like in Brum.
With loads of affection to you and Jack

Sharing
If every life learned to share
A happier world we would have
We could share our lives
And share our thoughts
Without any kind of recrimination
We could share our love
With all the strangers
That may come our way
Around the world
Making new friends wherever we go
If sharing was not just a dream
Paradise at our feet
Would unfold
There would be no more poverty
For every crust of bread, we’d share
We can only dream that one day
Many hearts will beat as one
Many minds will think alike
No more terrors will strike discord
And sharing will become the word

Could I Critique Poe
Could I critique Poe?
Would he care to know,
My opinion of his vision.
Would the darkness felt in his heart...
Manifest more light.
If he chose to interpret,
From my insight!
How should Poe and I,
Share similar views on life?
Could I critique Poe?
I suppose I could...
With a wisdom I would bestow.
But how would that effort,
Allow my own to grow.
If from my own environment,
My experiences given...
Come forth from within,
To share as they are told.
And neither Poe nor I...
Would find that a critiquing,
To be the thing we sought...
When revealing from inside of us,
Those thoughts from us unique.

The Enemy I Overcome
all over i run
looking for my god
to explain to me
all this thing about soul;
this million-year question
we each carry
with us to our death,
bequeathing similar puzzle
to our children,
the only question that
we share common ground
with our stone-age ancestors.
to live for all these years
and getting to know
that the most puzzling
thing in the world is
here just right in me!
i run to the east
i run to the west
i hop to the north
i hop to the south
i read the buddha's works
i delve into the hindu vedas,
bagavad gita,
the bible and the koran.
my body aches, my mind boggled
the five senses numbed
yet still ignorant of this
tea-in-cup theory propounded.
this prison that each of us
is trapped; is it just the body or
another dimension
seeking freedom?
seeking freedom..........
how i am grateful
that at least at this,
i share common thought
with buddha before
he left his palace to
seek for truth.
truth i still seek..
all that light in
the tunnel theory
getting me quite
fearful and excited..
here lies the enemy
i finally overcome
for eternal freedom,
my epitaph.

Where Is the Relevance?
Where is the relevance?
One once connected and applied,
To a life making more not less sense.
For those who believed...
There was something treasured,
We all had in common.
Where is the relevance?
To the multitude of debates...
Delivered by those 'practicing' their intelligence,
On the shoulders of folks...
With similar tastes,
Now heating collectively...
In an impatience observed,
And without question seen.
And told they must wait in anticipation...
For those in positions of leadership,
To decide the urgency of our fates!
Where is the relevance?
Eyes opened created the decadence.
Few slept through the entertainment done.
No one complained about the feeding of greed.
Or lifestyles that were shared by a choice few.
Not everyone!
So where is that relevance?
The one declared we all share,
But never there.
The relevance of standards and quality,
We all strived to reach!
That relevance lived by a few in exclusivity...
But from the rest of us impeached.
Where is the relevance?
Sought and now called upon all of us to seek!

A sister is.....
A sister is your guardian angel if she's older,
and your constant shadow if she's younger.
She's your best friend in all your endevours.
Your confidant, protector of your heart,
and secret keeper. A sister can also be
your enemy; your best adversary at times
of fighting.
She keeps all of your secrets, even the tough
ones. She's the one to tell you constantly
how pretty you are, partly because you look
similar in some ways. Your sister is the one
to call when that one boy talks to you; especially
when he decides to break your heart.
Also she's the first one vowing to beat him up
if he breaks your heart.
Your sister is your mother at a younger age
and you are hers. Not only is she your savior
shall anything happen to you, she also knows
what to do to make you feel better and wipe
away the tears. A sister is your only friend
when all others have walked out, especially
when you need a friend the most. This is
the person you shared your bedroom, and
at any time when your body changes, the one
whom you share clothes with.
She knows what makes you laugh, cry, and
most times is the one to make you laugh
and cry. She gives you a firm grasp of life
and tells you how hard love is so you don't go
in blind. She has the qualities of an angel and
will never leave your side. She's the one who
understands every personal event life throws
at you, for she lost the same loved one you did.
To me a sister is all of these qualities rolled into
two. For I am the lucky one to have two big
sisters like you.

To My Kindred Spirit
We share secrets, we laugh and even cry,
We have so much in common,
Concerns, likes and dislikes.
Ours is a relationship joined by
Tender velvet chains that link our
Similar dreams of life and love.
A gentle intuition guides us in our
Individual struggles to succeed,
To stand out from the crowd.
In you I have found so much of myself,
Including many of the same
Insecurities and philosophies.
Complete inner-peace and happiness,
These are the things I wish for you,
In the present and in the future
Because you are my kindred spirit.

The Same Mother
They each shared
the same mother
shared the same loss of her
when the time came
gave the same
last wave
when she was
driven off
to crematorium
and then grave
but each had
their own mother
whom they shared
with no other
one with whom
they shared
a particular time
or place
sitting quietly
face to face
sharing a secret
or confessing
a deed done
or just
the mother to child meeting
with just the two
at some given time
at some particular place
some given year
to share a problem
or tears or anxieties
or deeper fears
and knowing
she would listen
as only mother's can
or do
sharing the time and love
with each particular
person called you
whether daughter or son
she shared
her equal love and time
and yet each knew her
each thought
they knew her best
and carried away
their own best times
in her company
without the rest
their own moments shared
but deep down
they knew
she had her love for each
and each was equal
to the rest
for she never had
a favourite
nor considered
any one the best
so they all shared
the same mother
in the end
all grieved her going
each in their own way
hoping or believing
they would share her
once again
some better place
some future day.
