Early June Girls
While walking
Along the street
On a sunny afternoon
Of late spring
The air was filled
With the heavy smell
Of carcinogenic gases
Emitted by
The rolling cars.
Oh! How I
Loved the aroma
Of gasoline
In my childhood.
While walking
On a sunny afternoon
Of late spring
The petrol
In the street
Was mixed
With the hovering
Exciting scent
Of by-passing
Early-June girls.

Why Will You Gone with the Wind
Why will you gone with the wind?
Does it because you were attracted
by the peach street in that Tree City?
-it's like walking in the fragrant garden of sweet peach
when you read that historic city in a sunny spring morning.
But you should know there has walnut
besides chestnut street in this city of Brotherly Love,
-it's like walking in the golden heaven with sweet nut
when you read this lovely city in a beautiful autumn afternoon.
Gone with the wind?
The soft wind of the South
or the blue sky of the North,
Which one will be your favorite choice?
Gundi-?
Does it mean gone with the wind?

Walking in the Early Afternoon
When walking in the early afternoon
I think of you and wish you here with me;
The woods are such a lovely place in June,
You would enjoy it, this I guarantee.
Walking down the trails relieves my stress,
The beauty all around envelops me;
If you were here with me I could express
The happiness I feel with you and what I see.
Come take a walk with me some afternoon,
If you can find the time to get away;
The woods are such a lovely place in June,
We’ll savor every step along the way.

A Spring-Afternoon
I am thinking for a walk, and
I just decided to have a walk outside my home.
I am passing by my street.
I am looking at the afternoon's view.
Spring just has arrived …….
I can smell its essence.
So, I am glad to sensualize it.
But, what does it cost for a senseless?
Now, I can realize the sayings of great men
as too many beautiful songs have been sung in an orderly manner (to expose the pleasures of spring) .
I just met with my closest one,
(My spiritual preceptor)
and shared opinions to bring back again our former reverence.
I need to collect such wisdom.
It is necessary to cater to these all along.
Now, I am going back home.
Suddenly, I got the disperse of a wonderful day light and its reflection on a reddish ground and brown clay.
It looks like a heavenly day.
It takes me and my sense out from mournful contemplation.
I just got a snooty but smooth, still relaxation.
It seems the day wants to be dawn again flushing such light.
You are Marvellous!
You are glamorous-Spring-afternoon.
It's my fate to manifest you (Spring-afternoon) .......
I think, I have reached the extreme edge of my emotion.
I want to compare it with a little dreamy excursion.
It does not happen, but I have it!
I am just observing,
and I feel nothing- but..... (I can stick my eyes to see this afternoon) .
I have not enough thoughts to depict.
I shall have to create sentences, but I can't right now.
I will always be waiting to see it again.
Yes, it's unspeakable…..
It's unfaded.
It's unforgettable.
Now, I have realized a priceless and vulgar word called ‘ self-applause'.
Be great and always excuse.
So, you are great, The Spring Afternoon.

Late- Afternoon Sadness
LATE- AFTERNOON SADNESS
Late- afternoon sadness
Has a feeling all its own.
Life is all the things one has failed to do
It is all the disappointments brought us
By loved ones.
It is the sense that nothing good will happen again
Late- afternoon sadness
Is a world of its own,
And within it one sinks and sinks and sinks
Until one does not know
If the ground ever existed.

Sunny Afternoon
The tax mans taken all my dough,
And left me in my stately home,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
And I cant sail my yacht,
Hes taken everything Ive got,
All Ive gots this sunny afternoon.
Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze.
I got a big fat mama trying to break me.
And I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
In the summertime
In the summertime
In the summertime
My girlfriends run off with my car,
And gone back to her ma and pa,
Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty.
Now Im sitting here,
Sipping at my ice cold beer,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
Help me, help me, help me sail away,
Well give me two good reasons why I oughta stay.
cause I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
In the summertime
In the summertime
In the summertime
Ah, save me, save me, save me from this squeeze.
I got a big fat mama trying to break me.
And I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

The Late Afternoon Is Heat
THE LATE AFTERNOON IS HEAT
The late afternoon is heat
The poem is far away
The day has yet to begin
I am old
Time mocks me with another small smile at its passing.
I do not know where I am going
And what I will be
And how I will die.
But I will die
And in much less time
Than I have already lived.
Late afternoon
The heat
My tiredness
The silence
This poem
Tonight will be Shabbat
Another day will begin
Time mocks me with its passing
And blesses me with each moment I still live.

Shed
I'm like a freight train feelin' no pain
I never turn back one track
Better step aside
Like a shotgun
I'm really someone
You'll feel my heatwave
Won't save anyone near to me
I'm steel
So come and try to bend me if you can, hah
I don't feel
Before you know it it's over
Get out of my way
I'm street walking, street walking
Night stalking, i'm street walking
No reputation
You better quick run
Cause i got no time i'll climb all over you
You need a strong hand
To be a mean man
You've got to think fast
I'll last longer than you could know
I'm steel
So won't you come and try to bend me if you can
I don't feel
Before you know it it's over
Out of my way
I'm street walking
Hey, i'm a wild cat
Don't need to prove that
I'm always howlin' prowlin'
Stalkin' my prey
It could be your night
To feel the dog bite
And hear the slashing, crashin'
Tearin' inside of you
I'm steel
So come and try to break me if you can, no way
Like a wheel
About to roll you over
Get out of my way
I'm street walkin', street walkin'
No talkin', street walking
Night stalking, street walking
No talkin', i'm street walkin', yeah
Street walkin', street walkin'
Night stalking, street walking

The River Road
Late last night
I saw you coming
Early this morning
I saw you go
Late last night
I saw you running
Up the street
From the River Road
Early in the morning
I saw you walking
Hands in your pockets and
Your head down low
Little senorita
Has got you coming
All the way up from
The River road
Early in the morning
I saw you walking
Up the street from
Where the men all go
Turn your head and
I will tell you something
Little Senorita
Doesn't want to let you go
Little senorita
Was smiling at something
As you walked all the way
Back up the River Road

In fifth Avenue
In the mornings I see Jane passing
and how she walks away,
in the street
and gets smaller and smaller in the distance
The lingering afternoon hours
slowly past
and the postman
draws the barking dogs,
before he rides leisurely
away with his bicycle.
When the sun gets low in the late afternoon
and I park behind the house,
I hear a gate opening
and she greets while she walks by.

Late In The Afternoon
LATE IN THE AFTERNOON
Late in the afternoon
Late in life
Lyric poetry is still possible.
It is quieter of course
And calmer of course
And its passion is subdued of course
But it is still possible.
Love does not die in old age
It simply sings softer.
Even now towards the end of this happy day
The light has its own sad song.

Unshackled Thoughts on Chivalry, Romance, Adventure, Etc.
Yesterday afternoon, while I was walking on Worth Street,
A gust of wind blew my hat off.
I swore, petulantly, but somewhat noisily.
A young woman had been near, walking behind me;
She must have heard me, I thought.
And I was ashamed, and embarrassedly sorry.
So I said to her: "If you heard me, I beg your pardon."
But she gave me a frightened look
And ran across the street,
Seeking a policeman.
So I thought, Why waste five hours trying to versify the incident?
Verse libre would serve her right.

East Coker
What is the late November doing
With the disturbance of the spring
And creatures of the summer heat,
And snowdrops writhing under feet
And hollyhocks that aim too high
Red into grey and tumble down
Late roses filled with early snow?
Thunder rolled by the rolling stars
Simulates triumphal cars
Deployed in constellated wars
Scorpion fights against the Sun
Until the Sun and Moon go down
Comets weep and Leonids fly
Hunt the heavens and the plains
Whirled in a vortex that shall bring
The world to that destructive fire
Which burns before the ice-cap reigns.

On The Sunny Side Of The Street
Dorothy fields / jimmy mchugh
Grab your coat and get your hat
Leave your worry on the doorstep
Just direct your feet
To the sunny side of the street
Cant you hear a pitter-pat
And that happy tune is your step
Life can be so sweet
On the sunny side of the street
I used to walk in the shade
With those blues on parade
But now Im not afraid
This rover crossed over
If Id never have a cent
Id be rich as rockefeller
Going to set my feet
On the sunny side of the street

A Country Path in Late Spring
The path of mossy ground nestled
In between maternal hedgerows,
That overgrew atop, dimming down
The brilliance of the day.
Embosomed, a calm-cool vision –
Abstract takes of nature, in
Leaf-spattered green shades;
Stem-speckled brown hues;
Shards of sunlight percolating
Through the random flaws to
Up glittering sprites upon the leaves.
And avian chatter bounced along the burrow,
Smattered by the crosstalk
Of busybody insects;
But outside the green comfort zone,
Other worlds of other sounds of other life
Otherwise gave a hint of
Other dozy goings on.
Hawthorn filled the air,
Filled the nose,
Filled the head –
Pungency had overpowered all –
Gave the late-spring-early-summer haze.
Here and there a break of colour:
Odd bluebells – escapees from nearby woods –
Blue-blushing bell faces glancing down,
Aware of their erectness in the stem;
The flaming wing of red admirals
Broke through a hedge hole to
Break up the calm backdrop,
While flitting blue tits gave
To greater-bodied animation.
Nature’s warm narration –
The undertones of life.

Lonely Street
Sometimes when I'm walking down this lonely street,
Well, it sure don't seem like twenty years,
Since I went walking down this lonely street
And the smell of perfumed ladies filled the air
This street ain't got no name, dead end is in the river,
And I lived where I hated life day by day,
There wasn't nothing I could do to shake a cold night shiver,
'Cause to move up Lonely Street you had to have some say
Gambling is bad luck down on Lonely Street
And it sure ain't no place to be when a man gets sore
You know I killed a man and I paid all I can,
With twenty years on a chain gang,
For the flesh and the blood on that jailhouse floor
Sometimes when I'm walking down this lonely street
I get caught up in a dream that won't let me go
And as the bright lights flash up and down this lonely street
My mind rolls back the years long time ago
I see my baby stumblin' around with tears in her eyes
And as I reach out for her she falls on the floor
She mumbles through bloody lips about a bad man, robber, raper,
And in my gut I know I got one to score
The word was comin' down, down on Lonely Street
That the bad man was a dead man if he crossed my trail
Every night I'd walk up and down this Lonely Street
I get stinkin' drunk, and always in jail,
One night they threw me in with a man they called the mangler
He was caught on the street makin' some old whore,
I remember he was quite proud of that,
So half-crazed I shot him,
And I cried in the blood on that jailhouse floor
