Purple Evening

I breathe you in as we kiss.
Your hair smells of moor
The tang of peat.
Fresh.
Of the heather, wildness.
The close purple of evening
Slowly creeps across the sky.
We take each others hands
And slowly walk into the moon.
The becks sound a watery serenade.
We seem float on the early mist
Which rises as the earth loses heat,
But we are warmed by our love.
Insulated from the chill, content.

Make love to me slowly

Make love to me slowly
Kiss me by the neck slowly
touch me tenderly
not coldy

Grind your body next to mine
Let our union be divine

Make love to me slowly
Whisper sweet nothings in my ear
Tell me that you care
While you play with my hair
Explore my body
with your hands and study
Pleasure me
Open your eyes so you can see me
When I smile
My teeth dancing in a tile

Kiss me, Kiss me
Kiss me, Kiss me

Make love to me slowly
When you have been riding a horse
It expects you to stop
Make love to me slowly
My body is a temple
It is holy

Inertia Creeps

3d
Recollect me darling raise me to your lips
2 undernourished egos 4 rotating hips
Hold on to me tightly Im a sliding scale
Cant endure then you can inhale
Clearly out of body experience
Interferes and dreams of flying I fit nearly
Surrounds me though I get lonely
Slowly
Moving up slowly
Inertia keeps
Shes moving up slowly
Slowly
Moving up slowly
Interia creeps
Moving up slowly
She comes moving up slowly
She comes moving up slowly
Inertia creeps
Moving up slowly
She comes
Moving up slowly (x2)
In my home no chrome as clear as
See me now with my nearest dearest
Been there when Im over-careering
Room shifting is endearing
Between us is our kitchen
Where she finds my irritants itching
Been here before been here forever
Moving up slowly
Inertia keeps moving up slowly
Inertia creeps moving up slowly
Inertia keeps moving up slowly
She comes
Moving up slowly (x2)
She comes moving up slowly
Inertia creeps moving up slowly
She comes
There be no sound in my eiderdown
Awake I lie in the morning blue
Room is still my antenna in you
Nylon burns the bedspread with 2
Gravity zero see me stall
I bounce off the walls lose my footing and fall
It can be sweet though incomplete though
And the frames will freeze see me on all 4s
Its been a long time
She comes (x2)
Comes
I want to x you, she comes
I want to x you, she comes
I caught your radio waves
I caught your radio waves
With tin cans and string
Say you string me along
Say string me along
Say inertia creeps
Inertia creeps and she comes
Say she comes (x4)

Spur Of Moment

Come to me in my dreams and hold me, kiss me, burn me away.
You are composed of kindness and colour,
You sing sweet notes of comfort to me.
Don't walk away, i need to be there for you.
Come to me in my dreams and hold me, kiss me, burn me away.
Shivering in a hot bath, steam rises slowly
As love evaporates
The shoal of the gilled clutter around the ocean carpet,
I swim alone, the outcast ocean fish.
Take all my sins and beat them into me for the wreck i am.
Come to me in my dreams and hold me, kiss me, burn me away.
Shivering in a hot bath, steam rises slowly
As love evaporates
My skin is raw, and my eyes they sting,
and my, my heart shivers and my stomach hurts.
But you take away my pain and make my life content.
You are my meaning, my eyes open.
My library of gold, i could read you forever.
Come to me in my dreams and hold me, kiss me, burn me away.
Shivering in a hot bath, steam rises slowly
As love evaporates.

The Sun Still Rises

The sun still rises in dawn display,
The moon still traverses the sky
And earth spin from night to day.
The oceans still toss spumes of spray,
I still breath, heart still beat,
Blood course inexorably on its way.
But my world has frozen, stilled,
A photographic unthawed moment,
Etched in acid that cannot move on.
Is this the glaciated shock of death?
That numbs, immobilizes thought.
And eyes once warm and loving
Turned to mirrors of hardened water.
To pour these bitter salted tears.
To ask why the sun still rises?

Sunset Serenade

I serenade my love at sunset
beneath the embers of a sleepy sun.
Just before it slips away
behind the distant mountains
to herald the coming of the night
when the purple hues envelope everything
and the night choir all begin to sing.
My love and I sit
as I sing my serenade,
our fingers linked together
as the light begins to fade.
We sip the nectar of love
at the closing of the day
and the world to us
seems a million miles away.
At a time, when day and night collide
and beckon evening tide.
We sit at peace with the world
and enjoy our sunset serenade.

A Song Of Spring

The Spring comes slowly up this way,
Slowly, slowly,
Under a snood of hodden grey.

The black and white for her array,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Where is her green that was so gay?
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Unto a world too sick for May,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Where are the lads that used to play?
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

She has no heart for holiday,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

The trees are out in Heaven they say.
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up our way.

Moon And Stars Above

A candle flickers
as the night breeze descends
casting shadows on the wall
of things we never saw.
They dance to the gentle rhythm
created by the breeze
as the clouds of evening
begin to gather in the sky.
Young lovers walk under
the moon and stars above
to kiss and cuddle in profusion
under the nearest tree.
Slowly night closes in
as the night chorus serenade
the young lovers
under the moon and stars above.
All too soon, they are parted
as night turns into day
and they have to wait again
until the night chorus signal
another close of day.

The City Of London

Introduction:

I wrote this in the middle of the night, many years ago.
My mind went back to when I was a little girl
and my brother and I went to visit my Grandfather.
We stopped that day to walk through the City, there was a mist that morning and a fine rain, the sort that makes your hair frizz.
The tranquillity of the early morning streets was rudely broken
by people coming into the City to work and so here is my memory:

----

Early morning after a thunderous night
I can breathe easy.
If I'm quiet I may hear the sound of birdsong.
Sometimes there is a mist.
It hangs over London like a veil.
Soon dawn's empty streets
will heave with massing crowds.
but until then all London is at peace.

The gentle tinkling of milk bottles
breaks the quiet
and the smell of bacon and fried bread
waft through the chill morning air.
Sounds of sirens fill my head and
concrete rises heavenward, filling my eyes,
crushing their foundations through my soul.
A sickness seeps through me,
everything beautiful is gone.

'Morning paper, read all about it! '
Girls hurry buy in tight blue jeans,
men in suits, some in Mac's,
high-heeled ladies, clicky, click, clack.
Poor old tramp, fingernails black,
stirs on the floor beside a closed door,
‘Got the price of a cuppa luv', he calls.
The girl quickens her pace.
A couple kiss in tender bliss
A young man sighs, a baby cries,
an old lady dies on the streets of London.

Early morning after a thunderous night
you can breathe easy.
You may hear the sound of birdsong
Sometimes there is a mist.
It hangs over London like a veil

Early Morning, The

morn
things burst
from within me
the ocean wave
the cries of seagulls
sweep of vapours
those few twinkling stars
and the shiny planet
that slowly loses itself
in the glare of daylight
in me a flower blooms
the day that slowly dawns
light inches itself into me
the way the petals slowly
spread themselves out
welcoming each day
gracing it with such beauty
each of my acts i make sure
would make the day worth it
my heart slowly blooms
like the roses every new day
every mistake, a sting on the petal
by an unwelcomed ant

Early Morning, The
The moon on the one hand, the dawn on the other:
The moon is my sister, the dawn is my brother.

My brother, good morning: my sister, good night.

Gossip (Stream XVIII)

She squirreled away her gossip
Like round brown nuts
To be savoured later
To be pulled over
And inspected
With those aged friends
With nothing better to do
And too much time on wrinkled hands,
Clawed and arthritic.
Hands that have seen hard work,
Hard times.
That held children
Or caressed husbands long gone.
Heads bent close
Their hair monuments to the coiffure's art
Shades of pink and purple
Colour rinsed.
Rinsed out.
Heads nodding
They savour each tidbit
Pink tongues savouring its essence
Their hungry round mouths.
Gobble each morsel.
Pick over its bones
For this is all they have.

October Song

When October comes
With its misty melancholia.
And trees of their leaves undress
In the cooling air.
When autumn chill settles;
A trickling stream into my bones.
When late roses lose their petals
And winters but a step away.
Then I think of you,
Who would never another winter see
Nor the first spring flowers
Or Feel summers warmth where you lie
For it does not penetrate that deep.

Purple Roses and Butterflies

She wears her angelic disguise
and surrounded by purple butterflies.
She walks with a bouquet of roses
and a bundle of hugs and kisses.

Now, slowly she strides along the path;
nervous just like solving her math.
She’s ready to meet her destiny,
to spend her future life with me.

Slowly there the butterflies flutter
and the purple roses smells sweeter.
As her purple gown trails down the aisle,
It seems like a hundred mile.

My heart sings and rejoices,
as she offers her trembling hand
whispers to my ear, her sweet voice
as in front of the altar we stand.

Purple roses…
Purple butterflies…
As we make our final solemn vow,
To love each other; then and now…

I Am Wine

I am wine for you to drink and extract pleasure, just slowly,
So that alcohol is consumed to deter, just slowly.

When the substance floats away and crumbles beneath the skin of the Earth,
A plant has been contained in our hands, the hand is the detector, just slowly.

Living is loved for its juices, the very amount is not worth knowing,
Like the speed of the Earth’s orbit, the detester, just slowly.

May life begin again for the best outcome and this love,
The world is cooked with it, and living is a detailer, just slowly.

Loneliness is the solution to the problems of Love,
May the alcohol burn to exist in a flood, Love is a member, just slowly.

May life enchant the believer and the careless water,
May Loving Men and Women see my wine, and me as mediator, just slowly.

Kiss me slowly

Kissing is an art, one most master
Kissing slowly is better than faster

Kiss me slowly
Kiss me tenderly
Kiss me sweetly

Kiss me on the lips
Down to my finger tips

Delicately sample my nipples
Kiss it, tease it, rather simple

When done right, let me be precise
Kissing itself can be rather very nice

Kiss me slowly
Kiss me tenderly
Kiss me sweetly

Kiss my body inch by inch
Till it tickles and starts to flinch

Kiss me in the left and right ear
Whisper sweet words of passionate care

Kiss me by the neck
With little kisses called pecks

Kiss me hungrily in the mouth
Hear my groaning delicious shouts

Kiss me below and yonder
Till my juices begin to ponder
And turn on fire with desire

Kiss me slowly
Kiss me tenderly
Kiss me sweetly
Kiss me once, twice, thrice
Oooo! These kisses are very nice

Unquiet Soul

Why do you write these self destructive verses
Slashing at your unquiet soul in icy solitude;
Crying in your wilderness of angst ridden pain,
There is a bleakness to your life that cools the sun,
Blankets you in shades of your own misery,
To live in the blackness of the inky night.
Hopeless you are, blind to the light, deaf to loves call.
Let me open your cage, illuminate your night,
Bring you into the joyfulness life.
Awaken you from your long sleep with a tender kiss
Warm you in the gentle heat of my love
Bring you into the light and set you free.

But your not there.

Plaintive Night

The evening lay hot and sticky.
I lay wakeful, sleepless and fretful
Drowning in the sultry heat.
The sounds of eventide drifted in
To ooze across my open window.
As I listened with attentive ear,
Each errant sound was carried to my bed
By the winds gentle proposition.
She gently trembled silken curtains to rustle.
A disembodied voice in the plaintive night,
To bring the pungent scents of the frangipan.
The chitterings of playful cicadas
In deep dark velvet midnight.
Far off a murmured accompaniment
Brought soft and low across the turgid air.
The gently whispering sound of the sea.

August Mornings

On a fine August morning
As I stand before the clearing
I would see the dappled clouds in the east
Turning orange-red.
I would then see
A round red ball rising up slowly
And would close my eyes in her honor.
In response, she would send
The first rays of her light to kiss me.
Fresh breezing air from the garden
Would then hurry up to hug me.

August mornings are lovelier like my mum
They are fresh and tender like her love
They are caring like her hands.
So what if my mum is far away in the east
I keep getting her call
Every morning when
The first rays of the sun kiss me with love.

Very Slowly

Tick tock
The moonlights hummin
My fingers on the button and my hob-nobs drummin
Slow down were moving too fast
Better wait a minute make the good times last
Ive learned something bout livin
You dont get nothing if you dont stop givin
We both know that we got so much but there aint no rush
Wanna love you slowly
When you slide on down
Wanna love you slowly turn that body round
You wont be able to control me
When your love slow down
Wanna love you slowly slowly slowly slowly
Slowly..
Hold tight
Love is all I need I guess its sweeter when its more than just a tease
Let me hold you close enough to stick
Love is an illusion lets play that trick
Slow hand moving down my back
If you get a chance u feel my heart attack
Real love has never been a crime
Wanna take my time
Wanna love you slowly
When you slide on down
Wanna love you slowly
And turn that body round
You wont be able to control me
When your love slow down
Wanna love you slowly slowly slowly slowly slowly...
Aah...oah...uah...
Slowly...aah...oah...uah...
Slowly... yeah...aah...oah...uah...
