Poor Fools

Poor fools we are-
We cannot seem to touch.
Although we are so near
A heart beat apart,
But we are walled off
Each in our cell of misery.
We built this wall high.
Cemented it with our tears.
Set each brick with pain.
Disected our love.
Sliced it into a thousand pieces;
Cut each other with cruel words.
Until it withered - died.
And we are left with dust.

Repairman

He rose from the ruins,
Scarred though he was,
Of the house she destroyed.
Tentative this new construction
Rising out the ashes.
Each brick cemented in with care.
Built from blood, sweat, tears and joy;
Sweetly leavened with a touch of love.
A work in progress never complete
Yet not his house alone,
For we are all formed by committee.
Everyone who touches our life,
A parent, teacher, lover or friend.
For at intersections where we meet
A brick, window, door, plank or nail is added.
Some good, some bad.
Adding or subtracting to the whole.
We bear the scars and survive.

No Obituaries

Hot words spat in anger.
Things he wished not said,
But genie like out the bottle.
Nipped from the heart.
It lay there between them
This last murdered piece of love.
To late for resuscitation
It lies dead and cold.
No obituaries needed.

Skies Do Weep

The skies do weep for you my love,
The rivers are full of tears.
The wind does sigh for you my love,
The trees bow in despair.
The world is colder now my love,
The sun seems dimmer.
How I long for you my love,
But your not there.

Stone by Stone

I built this wall around my heart
and stone by stone it falls apart
I built this wall to keep you out
the pain, the loss, and all the doubt
I built this wall around my heart
and stone by stone it falls apart
brick by brick it is destroyed
tear by tear i realize
but, I built this wall to keep you out
and stone by stone it fell apart
all the pain, the loss, the doubt
goodbye to that wall around my heart
for stone by stone it fell apart.

The Sun Still Rises

The sun still rises in dawn display,
The moon still traverses the sky
And earth spin from night to day.
The oceans still toss spumes of spray,
I still breath, heart still beat,
Blood course inexorably on its way.
But my world has frozen, stilled,
A photographic unthawed moment,
Etched in acid that cannot move on.
Is this the glaciated shock of death?
That numbs, immobilizes thought.
And eyes once warm and loving
Turned to mirrors of hardened water.
To pour these bitter salted tears.
To ask why the sun still rises?

Unspoken

Sliding gently into silence,
Words are sucked dry,
Lie like dried insect husks
Divested of meaning.
Sounds lost in the chaos.
The noiselessness deafens.
Whistles screaming into oblivion.
The empty space between the lines,
These words unsaid yet explicit,
That swivel around the unspoken.
In that split of time, that void,
The inablity to unwrap, voice,
We are separated, walled off.
The corpse lies between us
Lying in cold mute misery.
We know our love has died

Fallen Marker

A construct de-constructed
Scattered.
Demolished.
Marble carved words
Muddled now,
Muddied.
Problematic,
No translation,
An undecipherable code.
Soon the wind will blow
And the words will be dust.
Erased from memory.
Mixed in earth.
Lost.

Unquiet Soul

Why do you write these self destructive verses
Slashing at your unquiet soul in icy solitude;
Crying in your wilderness of angst ridden pain,
There is a bleakness to your life that cools the sun,
Blankets you in shades of your own misery,
To live in the blackness of the inky night.
Hopeless you are, blind to the light, deaf to loves call.
Let me open your cage, illuminate your night,
Bring you into the joyfulness life.
Awaken you from your long sleep with a tender kiss
Warm you in the gentle heat of my love
Bring you into the light and set you free.

Just So Happens

Just so happens that Im tired of your face
Just so happens that Im tired of this place
Just so happens that I can not endure
The pain and the suffering thats caused when I touch you anymore
Just so happens that Im tired of this song
Cuz everything I ever tried to do just came out wrong
And every honest thing I ever tried to do
Was turned to pain and misery when laid before the godly feet of you
[chorus]
Theres no words left to say
Cuz all the words between us have already gone away
It just so happens that my flesh is turning pale
And pieces of me are disappearing as though my hands were whales
And it just so happens beauty, you could never recognize
And I simply faded away, before your eyes
Just so happens that these last two years
Been a completely meaningless waste of my tears
And if I had a toothpick for every vow you made
Id build a boat of your promises, and Id sail away
*chorus
Just so happens itd take a swift kick to the heart
To make you take back everything that you said
Just so happens that we stuck around too long
We should have abandoned ship, rather than go down with it, now its
Gone
Just so happens that I hate your mother-in-law
And I hate your dog, henry, Id like to fondle him with a saw
Just so happens that Im walking out the door
And p.s., and by the way, I dont love you anymore
Theres no words left to say
Cuz all the words between us have already gone,
Theyve already gone
Theyve already gone away

Words

Words can wound.
Even those gently spoken,
But they can also heal.
Breathe balm.
Pain is a thread that runs through all lives,
Its lies entwined with the joy.

Disappeared

Your love my love disappeard

With it your love and your tears

How they were like a real

While at the past I always had the fear

Not once again to believe

Lovers game always have been my fear

Just now I can feel

Oh how stupid my heart became to believe

Those words still I can hear

But You never knew that they gave me the world

For you they were just some words

Not from your heart they were came

Out of your heart but in my heart they built a home

And my heart now is crying blood and flame

Oh what a pain that I can't bear

Please my god you may help me to ease

My pain may I can again find the peace

Second time I have found the love

There's nothing left just it's pain

The Path of Dreams

Oh Morpheus shaper of dreams
You come to me in soft shod feet;
A thousand steps into darkness.
Tunneling down into slumber
To that secret golden place
Your many chambered rooms.
Each a door to realms of night
To where reality ends,
A place between dimensions
Where I fly, walk under the sea,
Be angel or devil, a rain of tears,
An ocean in a dropp of water,
A planet in a grain of sand.
A surreal paradise or a firey hell
A highway in the kingdom of sleep.
To follow the silver thread to wake
But remember not.

Unwritten

We slide into this world
And slip out the other side
Most of us just a footprint,
Washed away in history's tide
Unwritten blanks, forgot.

I Failed

I failed to love you as I ought,
To see you as you were,
But it wasn't what I thought
A beauty wild and pure.
I should have seen the painful eyes
And heard the weary sighs,
And what I thought was true
Were just decietful lies.
So now I say I'm sorry
Even though it is to late,
And hope that you are happy
Gone to a better fate.

My Valentines

This valentines day stricly broken up
for my heart has cried enough
the broken pieces left out to bleed
and the bitter strength did not succeed

for this valentine is only a card
cut out by a single heart
only to show you how much it hurt
for it to simply be torn apart

my heart has been cut too many times to count
pieces given away to my valentines
as if these pieces enables a spell
put on me to control my loveless crimes

all pieces have been given away
thrown away for very shown sharp
causing them to so called bleed, to hurt
even if from my love filled heart

for now they are gone spread out for all too see
my hearts in pieces now cried from tears
now the love is no longer in me
and my thoughts no longer conquer these fears

i have no love left
no heart left
only tears left
only hope left
not even a valentine

Two Worlds

Like a dream, my life has gone past me
Taken so soon but love burns so true
Love never ending that shines like the stars in the sky
And I sing but so few can hear me
Words from the heart to set your souls free
Time has no distance deep in love
Know everything goes
Everyone knows theres something beyond us
There is a light believe me
Time turns into dust
Cry if you must
But love is the answer
Bringing two worlds together
Who can see the secrets that bind us?
Back to the earth til love rings so true
Eyes of compassion and tears of a deepening heart
I have seen the pain of a cruel world
And reached out a hand for suffering to ease
Bringing some comfort to the tears
Know everything goes
Everyone knows theres something beyond us
There is a light believe me
Time turns into dust
Cry if you must
But love is the answer
Bringing two worlds together into one
A mountain of flowers and the perfume
Floating so high
Hush and the stillness in a million minds
Know everything goes
Everyone knows theres something beyond us
There is a light believe me
Time turns into dust
Cry if you must
But love is the answer
Bringing two worlds together into one

Born From Stars

All of us are born from stars.
Each of us a little light of soul
That once traversed the heaven
That flickers restless to be free,
To return from whence it came.
For when we die, it will join its kind,
Rejoicing in the universal dance.
To reignite and set the skies ablaze.

The Wall

I shall beat my head against the wall
Until the moment that I die.
Or until the wall does fall
Then beside it I will sit and cry.
Then on another wall I must beat my head,
Until I just cant stand the pain
Then you will understand what I have said
My loss; will be your gain.
And on that wall will be my blood
And there it will always stay,
Mixed with the stone it will be the mud
And like my pain it wont wash away.
I will pound my head against the wall
Until the moment that I am dead
And only then, will I stand tall
Because then will my anguish will be fed.
As I hold no sorrows or remorse
So much pain that I will release
As this is my only course
And only you this action will it please.

I will pound my head against the wall
Until the moment that I am dead
And from the wall my blood will fall
In remembrance of the words I have said.
Then the world will know that I died that day
As my soul will be all that will be left
And in your mind to GOD you will here me pray,
As my destiny, has then been set.
I will pound my head against this wall
Don't you know that I am dying
Then one day, this time you will recall
As you will know that I never was lying.
My blood will be kept on this old stone wall
And there for you it will always stay
And only then will this man stand tall
Because then you will understand what I did say.
Now only GOD can hear what I am crying
From the actions that I did or even say
Upon this wall please know I was only trying
But until then, it will remind you of myself everyday.

A splintered soul

She left a bit of her soul
on the housing estate,
where names was daubed
on an old brick wall,

and a bit of her soul
was left behind
at her old school desk,
with her injured pride.

And a bit at the bank,
her very first job,
where she'd fallen hard
for a bloke called Bob.

And a little bit more,
when her husband died
and the sheets got wet
from the tears she'd cried.

And a bit more still
as the debts piled high
though she hid it all
from her children's eyes.

And she feels
she left a part of her
at every port of call,
and she

mourns the loss
of each little bit
of her sad and
splintered soul.

Broken Promises

Promises broken like glass
Shattered to lie at her feet
For all she got was lies, deceit.
This was a life of disappointments.
Love slid, water through her fingers,
To puddle at her feet as tears.
Decieved by a beautiful lie;
Left with the shreds of love.
Promises broken like glass.
