I saw the donkeys made paces
And saw some seals that made a trip
Woodpeckers were in a descent
An ascension the larks did make
In a movement were the moles
and twenty woodcocks made a fall
They did not move a wing or foot,

The rooks are birds so wonderful,
they make buildings without a tool
When the platipi make a pile,
on top each other do not climb
When the leopards made a leap,

they were not meek and they were fierce
The walk of snipe that I have seen,
were not on foot but in the air
They said the choughs made chatterings,
but I did not hear anything

A knot is made by several toads,
with or without a length rope
I saw a cartload of monkeys,
but never did the cart exist
A tiger can't make an ambush,
but many can, I wonder why
The rattlesnakes do a rhumba,
without a leg, I wonder how
Twenty-one foxes in a leash
How can these be, don't let yourself
be driven crazy, off your wits
For though these seem improbable
Under those animal groupings
These all can be and possible

What's in a Group Name

Why are fish uneducated
When they frequently go to school
If shoal we call a group of fish,
Sometimes there's no fish in a shoal
Starfish, silverfish, cuttlefish
Under what grouping shall they fall

A group of apes shrewdness we call
But they're not shrewd, no, not at all

How to measusre a leopards' leap
Is it by dozen or by feet?

There's one thing common in between
The tiny legumes and the whales
The little legumes can make a pod
The leviathans also can

A group of bears can make a sloth
But many sloths can't make a bear

Herons and bitterns make a siege
Though enemy they do not have

A group of cattle is called a herd
A herd of swan, crane and curlew?
A funny thing, but that I've heard

Not only geese can make a skein
But also thread, silk, wool and yarn
A skein of thread up in the air
Is still a skein, no matter where
A skein of geese high up above
Becomes a gaggle when they land

Why do Platipi make a pile
When they can't even make a fire
Or whenever they make a pile
On top each other do not climb

A group of wildfowl I starved
With or without food they are plump

They said the choughs made chatterings
But I did not hear anything

Gambler nor cheats, they are neither

Were free
Were male
Were twenty-one
Free, male, and twenty-one

Its not enough to be twenty-one and free

This is such a fine distinction
The career that weve begun
I just made twenty-one
Im old enough to run
For congressman or clerk of the public works
Or dogcatcher or something just as dumb
If I should choose to run
I make no exaggeration
Just a statement of the facts
Now Im second generation
And I am manly to the max
And no one can decree
Just who I have to be
The choice is up to me
And if I could be anything, Id be

That tone of dogs:
Is the one that turn her! ! !
Make her the legend of Africa
That made her the best of the best
That gives her the name “Mama Africa”
That made her think of tomorrow.

That tone of bird:
Made her tune on the radio
That made her say “I’m a Diva”
Made her say “I’m a weekend special”
That turns her to Brenda.

That tone of lion:
Made her the Lionel
Made her say “I’m African Madonna”
That made her sing “I’m Dangerous”
That made her the Drama Queen

That tone of music:
That made us proud
To say “I’m an African”
And made us walk free in that Island
And say “I’m proud of African music”

That tone of music, that says with small voices
Made me not take that plane to U.S.A
Made me stay in R.S.A
Made me forget about the past
Make me listen to music
That help that build, that changes, that ragtime

Sky Skimmer

I made a wish,
Upon a fish,
Who swam through the sky.
It twinkled bright,
What a wonderful sight!
As the fish bathed up high.

It circled the moon,
Made the stars swoon,
And the fish lit up the night.
It’s tail was adorn,
With the colors of morn,
And it’s body shined like moonlight.

What was my wish,
Towards the fish?
It’s something I won’t deny.

Winters Over

I made it through.
Another winters over.
She was bitter.
At one point I didn't know if I could make it.
Yet I did.

You can smile at a breeze and I’ve seen it too
Dancing with life, there’s nothing ever blue
