Itch and Scratch
You’re just like an itch
that keeps coming back.
Every time I itch
I have to scratch, scratch, scratch.
Just like a train
on a railroad track
You go away today
and tomorrow come back.
Try taking an aeroplane
instead of a car,
then hop on a rocket
to a distant star.
You’re just like an itch
that keeps coming back.
Every time I itch
I have to scratch, scratch, scratch.
And just like an itch
you’ve got under my skin,
this is a situation
that I just can’t win.
Please give me a break
and get off my back.
Get out of here
and don’t come back.
You’re just like an itch
that keeps coming back.
Every time I itch
I have to scratch, scratch, scratch.

Scratch My Back
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
One good turn deserves another
Be my love, Ill be your lover
Its all part of natures laws
If youll scratch my back then Ill scratch yours.
If youll scratch my back then Ill scratch your back
Like two peas in a pack, lets get rid of our itch together, hmm
Joy they say is in the giving
Come on give, make life worth living
Your welfare is my concern
Do a favour for me, Ill do one in return
If youll scratch my back then Ill scratch your back
Like two peas in a pack, lets get rid of our itch together, hmm
Scratch me now a little lower
What a feeling do it slower
Thats it, hmm youre getting hot
Well I gotta admit, you just hit the spot
If youll scratch my back then Ill scratch your back
Like two peas in a pack, lets get rid of our itch together, hmm
If youll scratch my back then Ill scratch your back

Itch, Itch, Itch
should it not annoy me
what comes from single addition sound
itch, itch, itch
scratching my finger point
my heart is like free market
my brain is like full garbage
itch, itch, itch
there's worm army in my back
I get itch in my leg
itch, itch, itch
it's an itch in my mouth
I have sharpen my nail
I want to jump and scream
can I come to scratch you into pieces
the hands that touch me impolitely
the blunt mind that speaks empty
itch, itch, itch
you are just itch for me

I Scratch Therefore I Am
i scratch therefore
i am
a cat.....
(a tomcat
or a tiger on the loose of a safari in your mind)
you itch therefore
you are
a dog....(or a bitch
or a fungus in the
anus)
you itch and i scratch
therefore
we exist,
therefore
we are.
animates, needing something to thrive upon,
we evolve and get complicated, we revolve around something
and get a little
sophisticated,
we scratch some more, we itch some more,
no longer cats, or tigers, or dogs or bitches, we go beyond
these animated needs,
we somehow say
we need love this time...

Mutual Itch One Lonely Night
this mutual each we have
one lonely night
when the moon sails in the
black sky
and the stars are too near
like lilies to the sailboat
on the placid lake,
i scratch my itch
you scratch yours
but what about our backs
those parts that i cannot reach
and you cannot reach
too
we follow the natural law
i'll scratch your back
and you scratch mine
no more no less
we are just
but friends,
tonight

What do you think you did here kid?
You're living like some rich kid bitch?
The scratch that make you flinch
Tha scratch that you can't itch
What do you think you got done here man?
You're putting on a show
What do you think you got done here kid?
Did you reach your killing goal?

The Itch
The itch
is a bitch
no matter
how hard I scratch
nothing gonna satisfy
the itch.

The urge to write poetry is like having an itch. When the itch becomes annoying enough, you scratch it.

Tired Of The Rules Of The Game, I Sit...
i like to think that i owe no one a favor,
and so i refuse every opportunity
that i may derive when i give favors too
to another,
it is this way that this world looks upon
an investment
say of emotions, when one scratches your back
you too must give
her itch a scratch from you fingers
i hate this arrangement but this is how this world operates
mind you, i get tired too, having no one scratch my back because i
refuse scratching the back of another
at one time, i sit on the grass of a busy park,
looking and so blank and dumb, feeling that i am not a part of
this world, its rules not getting fit for my wholesome existence
away from independence into a world of flattery
and utilitarianism.

The Urge The Longing For Satisfaction
to scratch an itch
to caress that which gives us pain
the fingers play a song
on the body on the hair
deep within
the lost purity of my soul
there is always the satisfaction
after the scratching of an itch
there is a smile on closed eyes
lips wet and body sweat
there is a dream
a fantasy somewhere
without you
my thoughts of you
my longing about what you are to me
there is in my body a black bird wanting to fly away
without you

A quarrel is like an itch; the more you scratch, the more it itches.
The itch that gives someone skill is difficult to scratch.
One Small Ailment
ONE SMALL AILMENT
One small ailment is enough to destroy a mood and spoil a life’s good feeling-
One irritation can kill the soul-
Bodily beings holy as we are
We cannot endure the itch, the ague, the pain, the plague, the aching wound, the ‘thousand natural shocks flesh is heir to’
‘To scratch or not to scratch’ becomes the question-
Our pretensions mocked by our own small hurts.

When once the itch of literature comes over a man, nothing can cure it but the scratching of a pen. But if you have not a pen, I suppose you must scratch any way you can.

It would make a man scratch where it doth not itch, To see a man live poor to die rich.
Dog Years
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
In a dogs life
A year is really more like seven
And all too soon a canine
Will be chasing cars in doggie heaven
It seems to me
As we make our own few circles round the sun
We get it backwards
And our seven years go by like one
Dog years --- its the season of the itch
Dog years --- with every scratch it reappears
In the dog days
People look to sirius
Dogs cry for the moon
But these connections are mysterious
It seems to me
While its true that every dog will have his day
When all the bones are buried
There is barely time to go outside and play
Dog years --- its the season of the itch
Dog years --- with every scratch it reappears
Dog years --- for every sad son of a bitch
Dog years --- with his tail between his ears
Id rather be a tortoise from galapagos
Or a span of geological time
Than be living in these dog years
In a dogs brain
A constant buzz of low-level static
One sniff at the hydrant
And the answer is automatic
It seems to me
As well make our own few circles round the block
Weve lost our senses
For the higher-level static of talk
