What Almost Every Woman Knows Sooner Or Later

Husbands are things that wives have to get used to putting up with.
And with whom they breakfast with and sup with.
They interfere with the discipline of nurseries,
And forget anniversaries,
And when they have been particularly remiss
They think they can cure everything with a great big kiss,
And when you tell them about something awful they have done they just
look unbearably patient and smile a superior smile,
And think, Oh she'll get over it after a while.
And they always drink cocktails faster than they can assimilate them,
And if you look in their direction they act as if they were martyrs and
you were trying to sacrifice, or immolate them,
And when it's a question of walking five miles to play golf they are very
energetic but if it's doing anything useful around the house they are
very lethargic,
And then they tell you that women are unreasonable and don't know
anything about logic,
And they never want to get up or go to bed at the same time as you do,
And when you perform some simple common or garden rite like putting
cold cream on your face or applying a touch of lipstick they seem to
think that you are up to some kind of black magic like a priestess of Voodoo.
And they are brave and calm and cool and collected about the ailments
of the person they have promised to honor and cherish,
But the minute they get a sniffle or a stomachache of their own, why
you'd think they were about to perish,
And when you are alone with them they ignore all the minor courtesies
and as for airs and graces, they uttlerly lack them,
But when there are a lot of people around they hand you so many chairs
and ashtrays and sandwiches and butter you with such bowings and
scrapings that you want to smack them.
Husbands are indeed an irritating form of life,
And yet through some quirk of Providence most of them are really very
deeply ensconced in the affection of their wife.

Let Me Open Up Our Love File (I Felt Magic In The Air)

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

for only the second time together
enjoying and being lost in rainy romantic weather
you stared here and there
while walking to metro station
but i looked at you as my final destination

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

all of sudden, you pointed something
quickly, for you,
i was ready to do anything
you asked for ice-cream
there I was living up my dream

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

dear, i can remember
your beautiful face expression
indirectly you said we look good in pair
and, i felt magic in the air
yeah...i felt magic in the air
yeah, yeah...yeah
i can remember
your beautiful face expression
indirectly you said we look good in pair
and, i felt magic in the air

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

your arrival caused a great excitement
in midway of tough chemistry assignment
i couldn't help my fluttering eyes
looking at you n your glittering red band
stepping ahead if an angel on my heart's land

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

all of sudden, you pointed something
quickly, for you,
i was ready to do anything
you asked why H2SO4 and NaOH reaction were a complete miss,
for help you came as closer, we had nearly a kiss

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

dear, i can remember
your beautiful face expression
indirectly you said we look good in pair
and, i felt magic in the air
yeah...i felt magic in the air
yeah, yeah...yeah
i can remember
your beautiful face expression
indirectly you said we look good in pair
and, i felt magic in the air

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

(let me open up our love file
cherish along with me and just smile)

oh, oh.oh
yeah, yeah, oh yeah
i felt magic in the air,
magic in the air,
i felt magic in the air.

You're living in paradise

I'm getting tired of hearing your silly complaints.
You're angry because your husband isn't a saint.
Your husband forgets and leaves the toilet seat up and you think this isn't very nice.
You think you have it bad but you're really living in paradise.
Your husband has a few flaws but in my eyes he's great.
When I tell you about some other husbands, he'll be a man who you 'll appreciate.
I've seen husbands who beat and raped their wives and some husbands who even threatened them with guns.
And you complain about the superficial things your husband has done.
Close to where I live, a man killed his wife and then set her on fire.
Be thankful that your life isn't so dire.
These poor women's lives have been completely destroyed.
And you have the nerve to complain because your husband goes out once a week with the boys.
Before you complain about your husband again, maybe you should think twice.
You think you have it bad but you're really living in paradise.

Without Applying Some Kind Of Discipline

I know few who have accomplished,
Without applying some kind of discipline.
And there are those who attempt,
To impose upon others...
Seeking from them how what they do is done,
As if it is possible...
To teach devotion to someone.

I know few who have accomplished,
Without applying some kind of discipline.
And people today wish to have things their way...
Quick and without effort.
Those who sacrifice usually do not announce it.
They have ambitions that are focused.
And today,
There is a laziness people rather welcome to visit.

Pillars of Truth-3

it's hard, so damned hard!
go to work everyday (if you're lucky)
and pound your head against the wall...
knowing there's no way in hell
you can make enough to survive!

house gone! car gone! savings gone!
no insurance, not enough food to eat!

husbands leave wives, cant do it anymore!
wives leave husbands, want a better life.
and it only gets worse!

the only thing that we have
that they cant take away
are the people that love us...

why in the hell would we throw that away?

Leave off the Agony in Style

Come all ye good people, listen to me, pray,
While I speak of fashion and style of today;
If you will notice, kind hearts it will beguile,
To keep in fashion and putting on style.

Chorus --

Leave off the agony, leave off style,
Unless you've got money by you all the while,
If you'll look about you you'll often have to smile,
To see so many people putting on style.

People in this country they think it is the best;
They work hard for money and lay it out in dress;
They think of the future with a pleasant smile,
And lay by no money while putting on style.

Chorus --

Some of the people will dress up so fine,
Will go out in company and have a pleasant time.
Will rob themselves of food, perhaps, all the while,
Sake of following fashions and putting on style.

Chorus --

I love to see the people dress neat and clean,
Likewise follow fashions, but not extremes;
Some friends will find it better in future awhile,
To lay by some money while putting on style.

Chorus --

Gentlemen on the jury decides the criminal's fate;
I pray you turn from wickedness before it is too late;
Sad, indeed, would be your friends to hear your name reviled,
Better be truly honest though putting on style.

Chorus --

Leave off the agony, leave off style,
Unless you've got money by you all the while.
If you look about you you'll often have to smile,
To see so many poor people putting on style.

Smile For A Better Day

To touch a life can be simple
it just takes you to make it work
a hand shake, a smile, a hello
or just be polite, give a needy hand
so simple but so hard in life today
people are in a hurry, don't want to be bothered
no time for strangers, little time friends or co workers
take the time, it can be fun and bring a smile
make it away were you leave them thinking
people are friendly no matter when or where
a smile, a hello, a shock look of surprise
as you walk a way. they think how pleasant that was
how you made their day better and that really matters
a simple gesture can change a frown to a smirk to a big smile
make time to say a simple hello, shake a hand or a smile
could make anyone's day a better day, especially yours

Godly Unions

We have a command in this life; submit to the Lord, Jesus Christ,
For, to be controlled has its price, which for believers is sacrifice,
Being controlled by the Holy Spirit, in heeding Truth, as we hear it,
While we sacrifice our own desire, for a purpose, far much higher,

Husbands must love their wives, like the Church is loved by Christ,
While wives must submit to him, their husband, by the Spirit within,
This as together they build unity, submitting to God for their family,
As God's Spirit guides each of us, all for the glory of Christ Jesus.

The husband must take the lead, God's Truth each man must heed,
This under the submission of God, not with the power of one's rod,
Knowing the husband is responsible, for the family, per God's Will,
Following His Will comes with a price, of submission and sacrifice.

For God, we must love sacrificially, caring for our Wife and Family,
As we emulate the love of Christ, toward our family, all of their life,
With a Christ like, steadfast love, to the glory of our Savior above.
Purposing, truly loving our wife, this, as we are sanctified in Christ,

By God we've been brought together, so cherish your wife forever,
And as the weaker vessel we should, honor our wife, for her good,
As together we're joint heirs in Christ, this, for our entire earthly life,
This, as we model for everyone, homes built on God's Loving Son.

Seeing What Others Cannot

Its been over three weeks now
that I’ve been in this state.
I don’t know the reason why
there’s nothing to it I can relate.

The day began like any other
until I got to the bus pick up place.
There was three other people waiting,
but I never bothered to look at a face.

As I waited, an uneasy feeling of anxiety
moved up from my feet to my head,
I noticed something strange and abnormal,
the man in front of me separated.

I couldn’t believe what my eyes were saying
and thought that I was becoming ill,
maybe I was stressed out, with work and all,
and it was time for a get-well pill.

But it was true I was actually seeing this,
the man’s inner-self stepped out.
It communicated with another of its kind
who just happened to be walking about.

Nervously, I again looked around me,
this was happening everywhere.
It was if the people’s spiritual selves
had a life of their own to share.

It was happening to little children,
to couples, husbands, and wives.
Their once unseen spiritual sides were
living completely different lives.

I can’t understand or explain this,
that’s why I’ve come here today.
You’ll probably think that I’m crazy,
and I ought to be locked away.

I can tell you that I don’t like this,
and I wish that I couldn’t see
all these separated inner-selves,
who can see, but ignore me.

I have tried to ask them questions,
but they just smile and walk away.
It’s as if they too don’t understand
and they’ve always lived this way.

Is it because the majority of people
can’t see, that a precedent is set.
What if I can actually see what I can see
and the majority isn’t ready to see just yet?

The Bench and the Blonde in Black

His Honor walked into the shop
For of shopping his Honor was fond.
Did she blush? Did her eyes indicate shy surprise
In that slim little, trim little blonde?
Did his bachelor heart miss a beat?
Did she flash him a smile as she turned?
Did his Honor smile back at this vision in black?
Said his Honor, 'The case is adjourned.'

His Honor walked into his court.
Said the advocate, 'Shop-ladies lack
Much appeal, I submit, when these dark frocks they fit -'
Said his Honor, 'I like 'em in black.
Yes, I like 'em in black when they're blonde.
And I am not concerned with the cost.
It's a question of taste; and I've no time to waste.'
Said his Honor, 'Your action is lost.'

His Honor walked into the church.
'I will,' breathed his Honor, and beamed
On his blonde who, alack, was no longer in black,
For in ivory satin she gleamed.
Said the clergyman, 'Say after me -'
Said his Honor, 'My true wedded wife. . .
Er - at - sickness and health....and - er - all worldly wealth....'
Said his Honor, 'The sentence is life.'

His Honor walked up and walked down,
Sobbed the blonde, 'But you don't seem to care!
Why, my grey, pink and green are not fit to be seen;
And I haven't a rag fit to wear!
And you always did say I looked nice
In black suits? Twenty guineas? What fun!'
Then she smiled, kissed his neck, as he wrote out the cheque.
Sighed his Honor, 'Your suit, dear, is won.'

Memorial Day

Memories of those who are no longer here
are shared by millions who hold them dear.
Their faces so young that stay in the mind
of parents and wives and husbands that find
their loved ones were taken so young in their years.
Their children were left too young to cry tears,
never knowing their fathers or seeing their smile
or having them there as they walk down the aisle.

No war's ever worth their great sacrifice,
fought with their lives, they paid the great price.
And now we take time just one day a year
and pray somehow, somewhere they can hear
we miss them and honor them in memory
and hope their children's lives will turn out to be
ones that are filled with love and with peace.
So in their futures 'Memorial Days' will cease.

Noted By Us All

Adoption and adaptation,
And like the redemption of my muse;
But the righteous pleasures of things are now noted by us all in this life.

Wives should submit to their husbands,
Husbands should love their wives as their own bodies,
And do not grow weary of doing righteousness;
For, the righteous pleasures of things are now noted by us all in this life!

Do not be deceived,
For whatever you sow, that will you also reap;
So work with your hands to gain the status of your life,
For, there are laws all over the world!

Putting A Thought Out There

PUTTING A THOUGHT OUT THERE
By - Ed Iacona

Putting pen to paper makes
Inner voices very clear.
Of a desire no longer a secret
For the cosmos (plus one) to hear.

Positive thoughts are focused,
Projected strong and true.
Encouraged within my spirit,
By the joy of knowing YOU.

Some logic here for you to see,
Although there doesn't need to be.
Even Mr. Spock would likely agree
That YOU and I are synergy.

There's nothing for you to fear, my dear
Nor anything that will smother.
Just smile and breathe new essence here,
We've just begun to love one another.

A hand to hold while traveling
This confusing mortal abyss.
It all distills to two souls as one
And it all comes down to this...

True intention ignites the ether,
Twixt rhymes both common and clever.
I will be the ONE you kiss,
For now... For later... Forever.

The Men Who Made Bad Matches

'Tis the song of many husbands, and you all must understand
That you cannot call me coward now that women rule the land;
I have written much for women, where I thought that they were right,
But the men who made bad matches claim a song from me to-night.
Oh, the men who made bad matches are of every tribe and clime,
And, if Adam was the first man, then they date from Adam’s time.
They shall live and they shall suffer, until married life is past,
And the last sad son of Adam stands alone—at peace at last.

Oh, the men who made bad matches, and the Great Misunderstood,
Are through all the world a mighty and a silent brotherhood.
If a wife is discontented, every other woman knows—
But the men who made bad matches keep the cruel secret close.

You may say that you can tell them, by their clothing, if you will,
But a man may seem neglected, and his home be happy still.
You may tell by their assumption of conventional disguise—
But, the men who made bad matches, I can tell them by their eyes!

I have seen them by the camp-fire, where a child’s voice never comes,
I have seen them by the fireside, in their seeming happy homes—
Seen their wives’ false arms go round them, and the kisses that were lies—
Oh, the men who made bad matches! I can tell them by their eyes.

I have seen them bad in prison—seen them sullen, seen them sad;
I have seen them (in the mad-house)—I have seen them raving mad.
Watched them fight the battle bravely, for the children’s sake alone,
Like a father who has wronged them, and who lives but to atone.

But it’s cruel, oh! it’s cruel, for the husband and the wife,
Who have not one thought in common, and are yoked for weary life.
They must see it through and suffer, for the children they must rear—
Oh, the folk who made bad matches have a heavy cross to bear.

There is not a ray of comfort, in the future’s gloomy sky,
For the children of bad matches will make trouble by-and-bye.
And though second wives be angels, while the first wives were the worst,
No second wife yet wedded makes a man forget the first.

Ah! the men who made bad matches think more often than we know,
Of the girls they should have married, in the glorious long ago,
And there’s many a wife and mother thinks with bitter pain to-day,
Of her giddy, silly girlhood, and the man she sent away.

Life is sad for men and women, but the thoughts are bitter sad
Of the girls we should have married, and the boys we should have had.
But we’ll part now with a handshake, if we cannot with a kiss,
And bad matches may be mended in a better world than this.

Fake Smile

When I feel so sad
I just hide it when I'm around people
I put on my
Fake smile
Behind it's a hurtful and depressed girl
Who feel she can't get back up and
Smile for the first time
Since this guy make her like this
I feel like broken picture frame
I need a push to do it again
I try to smile but I can't
I'm lost so I put on a
Fake smile
When I have to
I feel like I will never smile again
I lost it unless one person
I know who will do it and is you baby
I know you are the one
I just have mixed feelings for you
One minute I Iike you and next minute I don't
One day I will get my smile back and
It be thanks to you or to whoever can do it
For right now I have to show a
Fake smile
You did this me and
I did this to myself
It turn out after you been gone awhile
I don't think or cry anymore
I forget you after all
This is real smile and not
Fake smile

Untitled

When I started out I wanted to make people happy and smile
and let them feel good about themselves
and that made me happy... for a while
but it's just not the same anymore

I can't keep putting on a smile and a happy face
because it just makes me realize
I can't take this place
and all the things I used to go through

I can't take always being there
every day and night
and living a life that's so unfair
and I never thought it would come to this

I just can't stand to make people feel happy and good
or put another smile on another person's face
because this doesn't make me happy anymore, and that's not how it should
I don't want to let people feel something I can't, not anymore

Smile For Love To Life

'what makes you smile everyday? ',
question that i heard everytime i passed by,
i smile when i see sky and moon,
i smile when it's raining,
i smile even when i'm under hot sun.
'why? ',
same question again,
i smile when i'm tired,
i smile when i'm depressed,
i smile even if i'm sad.
'why',
and again,
i smile when i see kids playing,
i smile when i see couples holding hands,
i smile when i see people laughing happily,
'why did you smile everyday? ',
this time i give the answer,
i smile because i'm glad of what god have gives us,
i smile because i don't want to feel down,
i smile because i love the fact that human lives better
if there is someone to love and be loved,
i quickly smile at everything, for fear of having to cry
because i want to live my life to the fullest
and not having regrets in future
for the beautiful things i've missed in this world..
