Crossing The Border

Senescence begins
And middle age ends
The day your descendents
Outnumber your friends.

Friends.... Old Friends......

Friends… old friends…
One sees how it ends.
A woman looks
Or a man lies,
And the pleasant brooks
And the quiet skies,
Ruined with brawling
And caterwauling,
Enchant no more
As they did before,
And so it ends
With friends.

Friends… old friends…
And what if it ends?
Shall we dare to shirk
What we live to learn?
It has done its work,
It has served its turn;
And, forgive and forget
Or hanker and fret,
We can be no more
As we were before.
When it ends, it ends
With friends.

Friends… old friends…
So it breaks, so it ends.
There let it rest!
It has fought and won,
And is still the best
That either has done.
Each as he stands
The work of its hands
Which shall be more
As he was before?…
What is it ends
With friends?

Ride Easy

Many days Ive traveled but I know not where Im going to
Im lost, lost along the way
From mexico to paris, always the same solitary circle
In an empty caf
Their faces were so empty meaningless and negative to me
I could have died
The bodies and the strangers reflected in their glasses as they drank not seeing eye to eye
Ride easy my friends this journey ends before it begins
Ride easy my friends this story ends before it begins
Long dead winter when I thought that
Spring would never come again melting the snow
Many days Ive reveled evenings through to mornings
Through to evenings with nothing to show
Ride easy my friends this journey ends before it begins
Ride easy my friends this story ends before it begins, oh
Their faces were so empty meaningless and negative to me
I could have died
The bodies and the strangers reflected in their glasses as they drank not seeing eye to eye many days Ive traveled going round in social circles lost, lost along the way
Many nights Ive reveled but I thought I saw the message in a bottle and drifting away

Where The Sidewalk Ends

Where the sidewalk ends
And the road begins
We said good bye
On a cold dark night
Im not afraid to go
You bet Im not
Where the sidewalk ends
You left a lot
Some people leave
And never come back
Some stay in touch
Some loose track
Your mind kept sayin
Come on lets go
You started learnin
What you dont need to know
Where the sidewalk ends
And the road begins
Ill wait for you
In the cold dark night
You might come back
You had to go
Where the sidewalk ends
Ill never know
Hide from the future
Run from the past
I guess Ill stay here
As long as I can last
Whistle still blowin
But the train is gone
Aint no wheels
Gonna take me from my home
Where the sidewalk ends
And the road begins
We said good bye
On a cold dark night
Im not afraid to go
You bet Im not
Where the sidewalk ends
You left a lot
Im not afraid to go
You bet Im not
Where the sidewalk ends
You left a lot
Where the sidewalk ends
And the road begins
We said good bye
On a cold dark night
Im not afraid to go
You bet Im not
Where the sidewalk ends
You left a lot
Where the sidewalk ends
You left a lot
Where the sidewalk ends
You left a lot

Go Away

I really wouldnt mind it might be fun.
At any other time with any other one.
But lovers cant be friends.
And theres only one way it can end.
I would lose you,i would lose you.
There are not many girls I can talk with.
There are not many girls I can walk with.
And I dont have many friends if any,
So stay my friend and go away my friend.
Im really wanting you to go away.
Everything you do, the things you say.
Confuse me now and then,
And I think I love you, my friend.
Go away,go away.
Youre the only girl I have fun with.
Youre the only girl I can run with.
You know friendship ends where love begins.
So stay my friend and go away my friend.
You know firendship ends where love begins,
So stay my friend and go,go away.
Go away,go away.go away....

In morals what begins in fear usually ends in wickedness; in religion what begins in fear usually ends in fanaticism. Fear, either as a principle or a motive, is the beginning of all evil.

Nothing Truly Ends

Nothing truly ends, for nothing truly begins
The state of all existence, is a season of flux
Temporary, transient, and never eternal
For how would we learn, if everything was ordered?

Ex Nilo arises, from spontaneous fiat lux
The one we call God, is the action of potential
Drawing in a molecule, exploding billions of new guises
From which we are the middle, in his alpha and omega

Stars come and go in the blink of eons eyes
While their helium and carbon, sow the gift of life
Archaea bacteria, and the crème de la eukaryotes
From Trilobites to Dinosaurs, rise a tree of life is magical

For if you accept happiness as a crystallized moment
Would mean to lose the glory of sacrifice acceptance
In extinction is distinction for evolution adaptation
As we become the fossils, for natural descendents

So if you fear death, then you truly fear life
For both are twin sisters, fathered in time
And time does not exist, accept as perception
While the shape of perception, is the user's definition

Just remember what fades, is not oblivions fate
Matter only changes, to what cannot be destroyed
Although it is sad, we will never be what we were
It's incredible to think that it's this world we are

Brown Skin

Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Where are your people from? maybe mississippi or an island
Apparently your skin has been kissed by the sun
You make me want a hersheys kiss, your licorice
Every time I see your lips, it makes me think of honey-coated chocolate
Your kisses are worth more than gold to me
Ill be your almond joy, youll be my sugar daddy
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Every time you come around, something magnetic pulls me and I cant get out
Disoriented, I cant tell my up from down
All I know is that I wanna lay you down
Every time I let you in, abracadabra magic happens as we swim
Higher and higher finally we reach heaven
Come back to earth and then we do it all again
Yeah..
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey
Skin so brown, lips so round
Baby how can I be down?
Beautiful mahogany, you make me feel like a queen
Tell me whats that thing you do that makes me wanna get next to you, yeah
Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin
I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends
Brown skin, up against my brown skin
Need some every now and thenoh hey

I cant tell where yours begins, I cant tell where mine ends

Need some every now and thenoh hey

All Good Things

All good things got to come to an end
The thrills have to fade
Before they come round again
The bills will be paid
And the pleasure will mend
All good things got to come to an end
God I wish I was home
Laying round with my friends
The call of the wild
Caution thrown to the wind
The fall of the child
Where the longing begins
All good things got to come to an end
Like a river flows
Rolling till it ends in the sea
Our pleasure grows
Rolling till it ends in you and me
Now as the dark gathers into the sky
And legions of might go thundering by
Regions of light grow dim and then die
And we with our wings
Wait for morning to fly
Like a river flows
Rolling till it ends in the sea
Our pleasure grows
Rolling till it ends in you and me
Rolling till it ends in you and me
Here where the angels
Have appeared and are gone
Your face like an ember
Glows in the dawn
But I want you to remember
All wild deeds live on
All good times, all good friends
All good things got to come to an end
The thrills have to fade
Before they come round again
The bills will be paid
And the pleasure will mend
All good things got to come to an end
All good times, all good friends
All good things got to come to an end

True Friends

Some experience a life of true friends.
The ones they know they can always depend on.

The bond that begins never ends.
There is such a closeness between them.

Friends!
Stripped of pretensions some send.
True friends will never,
Deny or lie...
To hide from deceits began.

Senior Student

Senior Student.

Senescence...don’t know what that word means,
I forget so many words now a days.
A man called Alexander has stopped writing says
he forget dates and names of famous persons
but isn’t that what Wikipedia is for?

Senescence...old age, I read, better than senile which
is a word full ancient dust, of knowledge chipped off
an old statue, like the one I saw in Rome,
time had made his face featureless and he had lost
six fingers. Senior citizen me? I still have nine fingers.

Trouble Gets Double Treatment

When,
A stretching ends.
A yawn begins.
When that stretching ends.

When,
A thought process...
Accepts mediocrity achieved,
To be one's best.
And this,
Unconsciously...
Stirs the acceptance,
Of a restless nonsense.
Trouble gets...
Double treatment,
That...
Upsets.
Those,
Who protest...
Growth.
And,
Regrets...
A foolishness,
One...
Protects!

YES!
Trouble gets,
Double treatment...
That,
Upsets.
Those,
Who protest...
Growth.
And,
Regrets...
A foolishness,
One...
Protects!

When,
A stretching ends.
A yawn begins.
When that stretching ends.

With taxes applied,
At the max!

Music To My Ears

Music to my ears
Losing all the fears
Where they go?
They just disappeared
If only a moment.
It must be savored
As if it was a savior
The sanity within
It is where it begins and ends

Welcome to my world friend
I live it everyday
With every word I say
Its a dream
I have created
Destinies be fated
Emotions so jaded

Music to my ears
Losing all the fears
Where they go?
they just disappeared
If only a moment.
It must be savored
As if it was a savior
The sanity within
It is where it begins and ends

Never let it stop
It is hope beneath my cloths
It is my strength
It is my everything
It grows bigger every day
So please follow me this way
And maybe I can share
In your moments of despair

Music to my ears
Losing all the fears
Where they go?
they just disappeared
If only a moment.
It must be savored
As if it was a savior
The sanity within
It is where it begins and ends

Just Friends

John klenner / samuel m. lewis
Just friends
Lovers no more
Just friends
But not like before
To think of what weve been
And not to kiss again
Seems like pretending
It isnt the ending
Two friends
Drifting apart
Two friends
But one broken heart
We loved we laughed we cried
Then suddenly love died
The story ends
And were
Just friends
We loved we laughed and we cried
Then suddenly love died
The story ends
And were
Just friends

Love Begins Today and Ends Tomorrow

Love begins today and ends tomorrow
Love starts with joy and ends in sorrow
Tell me who told you about everlasting love
As if he that did is an unerring perfect dove
Whenever you love, you should expect
A forthcoming day to look in retrospect
That you were once in love with a beauteous lass
And who was your Christ and her smile Christmas
Where are you now, now that I need you
To slide these shoes on your Cinderella feet
This marvellous foot and this glassy shoe
Why did you leave me beneath this heat
As if I were vermin and a mere curse
Had I been told you’d treat me thus
I would’ve sworn and audibly denied
And take my life to the pulpit of suicide
Nay I have learnt my own lesson
That ere an angelic calf twice a bison
Love begins today and ends tomorrow

Joyride

I hit the road out of nowhere,
I had to jump in my car
And be a rider in a love game
Following the stars,
Dont need no book of wisdom,
I get no money talk at all.
She has a train going downtown,
Shes got a club on the moon
And shes telling all her secrets
In a wonderful balloon.
Oh shes the heart of the funfair,
Shes got me whistling her private tune.
And it all begins where it ends,
And shes all mine,
My magic friend.she says:
Hello, you fool,
I love you,
Cmon join the joyride,
Join the joyride.
Shes a flower,
I can paint her,
Shes a child of the sun,
Were a part of this together,
Could never turn around and run.
Dont need no fortune teller
To know where my lucky love belongs oh no.
Cos it all begins again when it ends,
And were all magic friends.
She says:
Hello, you fool,
I love you,
Cmon join the joyride,
Be a joyrider.
I take you on a skyride,
A felling like youre spellbound.
The sunshine is a lady
Who rox you like a baby.
