Seventy Times 7
Back in school they never taught us
what we needed to know
Like how to deal with despair
or someone breakin your heart
For twelve years I've held it all together
but a night like this is beggin to pull me apart
I played it quiet left you deep in conversation
I felt uncool and hung out around the kitchen
I remember I kept thinking
that I know you never would
And now I know I want to kill you
like only a best friend could
Everyone's caught on to everything you do
Everyone's caught on to...
As if it happening wasn't enough
I got to go and write a song
just to remind myself how bad it sucked
Ignore the sun

A Song About You
If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
I would write about how
You’re all I can every think about
How you flood my dreams each night
How thinking of you takes my breath away
When I look up to the satellites
If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
I would write about how
The long lost butterflies returned
How I hope my number you’ll dial
And how your memory smothers me with smiles
If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
I would write about how
You were the only one
Who had enough of me to break my heart
And when love took over my heart
You tore it all apart.
If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
I would write about how
I gave you my heart
Caught up in the thought
That we were off to a great start
But how you threw a damn dart
Right into the center of my heart
If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
About how you crushed my heart
Not bothering to look back.
If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

Catch
Yes i know who you remind me of
A girl i think i used to know
Yes i'd see her when the day got colder
On those days when it felt like snow
You know i even think that she stared like you
She used to just stand there and stare
And roll her eyes right up to heaven
And make like i just wasn't there
And she used to fall down a lot
That girl was always falling
Again and again
And i used to sometimes try to catch her
But i never even caught her name
And sometimes we would spend the night
Just rolling about on a floor
And i remember
Even though it felt soft at the time
I always used to wake up sore
You know i even think that she smiled like you
She used to just stand there and smile
And her eyes would go all sort of far away
And stay like that for quite a while
And i remember she used to fall down a lot
That girl was always falling
Again and again
And i used to sometimes try to catch her
But i never even caught her name
Yes i sometimes even tried to catch her
But i never even caught her name

5. New Blazer
I remember my new blazer
Looking sharp in royal blue
I remember just how smart I felt
A school badge sewn on too
I remember how I brushed it down
Then hung it on a rail
I remember always wearing it
For exams I didn’t fail
I remember my friend Michael
Said my blazer was too bright
I remember how he called me names
Until we had a fight
I remember I was winning
As we rolled upon the ground
I remember losing all my change
Some other boy now found
I remember losing its newness
Grubby sleeves with its collar all black
I remember jumping the railings
Got it caught and ripped right up its back

Crossfire
You win or lose a penny.
What does it matter any.
We all are gamblers just by livin.
You hold a hopeless token.
Even though your heart is broken.
cause youve nothin left for the love youre givin.
(chorus)
Caught in the crossfire.
Caught in the crossfire ... of love.
Caught in the crossfire.
Caught in the crossfire ... of love.
Caught in the crossfire.
Caught in the crossfire.
You played your hand at poker.
But do you understand this joker.
Who shot down all your hopes and dreams.
Why do they always hurt you.
You think they wont but you know theyre sure to.
Cant trust a soul no more it seems.
(chorus)
Caught in the crossfire.
Caught in the crossfire.
You caught your love red handed.
Been stuck up like a bandit.
Crossfire.
Low down dirty underhanded.
Just aint right cant understand it.
Crossfire.
(chorus)
Caught in the crossfire.
Caught in the crossfire.
Caught in the crossfire.

Remind My Heart
(k. hain/j. franzel)
Pull back the curtain
Open up the blind
Let the light on the window
I cant close for all this time
I wanted to forget the pain of falling
That you, maybe, remember now
Dreams werent always made to be broken
Chorus:
When you hold me in your arm
Remind my heart
Of the way love should be
In the moment I let go
Remind my heart
That youre really there for me
Like the sun, breaking through the dark
Remind my heart
Ohh, can it be this simple
Can it be this true
All the fears Ive held so long
Swept away by you
Slowly now, you bring me to my senses
And I can feel the warmth again
Of the flame Id thought Ive lost forever
(repeat chorus)
What I missed so long (remind my heart)
Of the tenderness and the feeling you remind (remind my heart)
How love can make you strong
Oh, baby, youre makin me strong
(repeat chorus)
Ohh, in the moment I let go (remind my heart)
Remind my heart, remind my heart
That youre really there for me
Remind my heart
Of the way this love should be
Remind my heart
Remind my heart

Caught Up In You
I never knew there'd come a day
When I'd be sayin' to you
"Don't let this good love slip away
Now that we know that it's true."
Don't, don't you know the kind of man I am
No, said I'd never fall in love again
But it's real and the feeling comes shining through.
So caught up in you, little girl
And I never did suspect a thing
So caught up in you, little girl
That I never want to get myself free
And baby it's true
You're the one
Who caught me baby you taught me
How good it could be
It took so long to change my mind
I thought that love was a game
I played around enough to find
No two are ever the same
You made me realized the love I missed
So hot! Love I couldn't quite resist
When it's right the light just comes shining through.
So caught up in you, little girl
You're the one that's got me down on my knees
So caught up in you, little girl
That I never want to get myself free
And baby it's true
You're the one
Who caught me, baby you taught me
How good it could be
Fill your days and your nights
No need to ever ask me twice oh no
Whenever you want me
And if ever comes a day
When you should turn and walk away oh no
I can't live without you
So caught up in you
Yeah, yeah, yeah
And if ever comes a day
When you should turn and walk away oh no
I can't live without you
So caught up in you, little girl
You're the one that's got me down on my knees
So caught up in you , little girl
That I never want to get myself free
And baby it's true
You're the one
Who caught me baby you taught me
How good it could be, little girl
You're the one that's got me down on my knees
So caught up in you, little girl
That I never want to get myself free
And baby it's true
You're the one
Who caught me and taught me
You got me so caught up in you

Rolling In The Deep
There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out
the dark
Finally I can see you crystal clear
Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your
ship [shit] bare
See how I leave with every piece of you
Don't underestimate the things that I will
do
There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch
And it's bringing me out the dark
The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had
it all
The scars of your love, they leave me
breathless
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
Baby, I have no story to be told
But I've heard one on you
And I'm gonna make your head burn
Think of me in the depths of your despair
Make a home down there
As mine sure won't be shared
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love remind me of us
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
They keep me thinking that we almost had
it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love, they leave me
breathless
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart inside of your hand
But you played it, with a beating
Throw your soul through every open door
You'll pay me back in kind and reap just
what you sow (woah)
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
We could have had it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
It all, it all, it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
But you played it
You played it
You played it
You played it to the beat.

Caught Up
Caught Up"
I'm the kind of brotha
Who been doin' it my way
Gettin' my way for years
In my career
And every lover
In and out my life
I've hit, love and left the tears
Without a care
Until I met this girl who turned the tables around
She caught me by surprise
I never thought I'd be the one breaking down
I cant figure it out why
I'm so
Caught up
Got me feelin' it
Caught up
I don't know what it is
But it seems shes got me twisted
I'm so
Caught up
Got me feelin' it
Caught up
I'm losin' control
This girls got a hold on me
Let me go baby
Now listen
My momma told me
Be careful who you do cuz karma comes back around
Same ol' song
But I was so sure
That it wouldnt happen to me
Cuz I know how to put it down
But I was so wrong
This girl was mean
She really turned me out
Her body was so tight
I'm lookin' for her in the daytime with a flashlight
My homies say this girl is crampin' my style
And I can't figure it out but
I'm so
Caught up
Got me feelin' it
Caught up
I don't know what it is
But it seems shes got me twisted
I'm so
Caught up
Got me feelin' it
Caught up
I'm losin' control
This girls got a hold
I'm so
Caught up
Really feelin' it
Caught up
I don't know what it is
But it seems shes got me twisted
I'm so
Caught up
Really feelin' it
Caught up
I'm losin' control
This girls got a hold on me
And I think I like it baby
Oh nooo, oh no
Ooh, yeaah, oh my
This girl was mean
She really turned me out
Yeah, yeah, yeah, suga
My homies say this girl is crampin' my style
I'm so
Caught up
Caught up
Don't know what it is
But it seems shes got me twisted
I'm so
Caught up
Really feelin' it
Caught up
I'm losin' control
This girls got a hold
I'm so
Caught up
Im so
Caught up
I don't know what it is
But it seems shes got me twisted
I'm
Caught up

Pull My Chain
Got me on a short leash, tied to your screen door
I used to run with the big dogs 'til I stretched out on your front porch
Used to be a hound dog, chased a lot of fast cars
Now I don't even bark when the kitty cats stroll through the back yard
I used to howl at the moon, yeah I've been known to roam
Then I caught her trail one day, followed this girl home
I ain't the same, she knows how to put my chain
They say that an old dog, can't learn a new trick
Well she taught me to stay the first day and I learned real quick
There's a doghouse, a fence and a gate latch
I keep my tail waggin' and I don't mind beggin for a good scratch
I used to howl at the moon, yeah I've been known to roam
Then I met this girl one day that brought this old stray home
I ain't the same, she knows how to pull my chain
I used to howl at the moon, yeah I've been known to roam
Then I caught her trail one day, followed this girl home
I ain't the same, she knows how to pull my chain

I'll Write You A Poem
I’ll write you a poem
Which will by the day remind you
That I’m still lurking around
As a good friend who’s always true
I’ll write you a poem
About friendships that fickle
About friends like fiends
So that you’ll remember I
With radiance like a star up in the sky
I’ll write you a poem
Of my longings and want
Which by the day makes me hurt
Bleeding black blood
Shedding tearless tears
How inside they flow
Because we’ve refused to water
What earlier we had sown
I’ll write you a poem
That will forever remind you
That as you are needed elsewhere
I need you too
But now please, allow me
To sip from my cup of coffee

Breakin Up Is Breakin My Heart
Roy orbison
I wonder why you threw your diary away
When you walk by I nearly died what can I say
Things were fine, you were mine just yesterday
Now were apart ,breakin up is breakin my heart
I find myself alone at night and then I cry
No tenderness my happiness just said goodbye
Now youre gone, Im alone I wonder why we had to part
Breakin up is breakin my heart, baby
Breakin up is breakin my heart
The love affair we used to share is cold and still
I loved you then I love you now I always will
The day that you found someone new
My lonely world just fell apart
Out of your arms drives me out of my mind
Baby, breaking up is breakin my heart
Baby, breaking up is breakin my heart
Breakin up is breakin my heart
Breakin up is breakin my heart

Song About The Moon
If you want to write a song about the moon
Walk along the craters of the afternoon
When the shadows are deep
And the light is alien
And gravity leaps like a knife off the pavement
And you want to write a song about the moon
You want to write a spiritual tune
Then nah nah nah
Presto
Song about about the moon
If you want to write a song about the heart
Think about the moon before you start
Because the heart will howl
Like a dog in the moonlight
And the heart can explode
Like a pistol on a june night
So if you want to write a song about the heart
And its ever-longing for a counterpart
Write a song about the moon
The laughing boy
He laughed so hard
He fell down from his place
The laughing girl
She laughed so hard
The tears rolled down her face
Hey songwriter
If you want to write a song about
A face
Think about a photograph
That you really cant remember
But you cant erase
Wash your hands in dreams and lightning
Cut off your hair
And whatever is frightening
If you want to write a song
About a face
If you want to write a song about
The human race
Write a song about the moon
If you want to write a song about the moon
You want to write a spiritual tune
Then do it
Write a song about the moon

Caught In The Game
You swore youd never again, let yourself be tempted,
Too many times in the past when youve opened up your heart --
Youve had it broken in pieces, by too many lies,
Still its hard to acknowledge the past --
When she flashes those eyes,
Over and over the song skips,
Just as the final refrain fades away --
Like fools we are caught in the game
*caught in the game,
Caught in the game again --
Caught in the game,
Caught in the game*
I swore Id never again catch myself believin
Too many times Ive been hurt -- and it makes you hard inside
But when I saw you in the city tonight --
Was it just imagination --
Or did your eyes burn a little too bright,
For purely conversation --
Over and over the lights flash down at the corner arcade
Swept away --
Like fools we are caught in the game
( * repeat)
Over and over the song skips
Just as the final refrain fades away.
Like fools we are caught in the game
( * repeat)

Ballad Of ‘Memo’ Roy
For JoAnn
Who in conversation inspired this little ditty.
This is the Ballad of ‘Memo’ Roy
the fastest memos in the world.
Roy writes a memo every minute
just to remind himself what to do.
He even writes one to tell himself
he must visit the loo.
It all started many years ago
when the doctor told Roy
he was suffering from
short-term memory loss.
Now he writes memos
to remind himself to write a memo
for everything he must do.
He writes one late at night
to remind him
to get up in the morning
and one in the morning
to remind him to go to bed at night.
It is estimated he writes
quite a few hundred memos everyday.
His house is filed with little bits
of yellow paper stuck up here and there.
He couldn’t watch TV
even if he wanted to.
There are s many memos on it
you can’t see the screen.
One day his pen ran out
and no memos he could write.
He couldn’t even write a memo
to remind himself to buy a pen.
Then he found a pencil
and shouted that will do.
Now he is able to write memos to himself
to tell himself what to do.
As far as I know,
he hasn’t written a memo
to remind himself to sharpen
the pencil once and a while.

Love, Lust Or HATE
I thought I had feelings for you
I left my friends for you
When you called I jumped for you
Whatever you wanted I got it for you
No matter what I had to do
Only you I thought about everyday
However you felt I felt the same
When you were sad
I was sad with you
Eventhough I would cheer you up
As long as you were happy
I cared about you
Yet it was weird
I never felt like this before
Was it love?
Was it lust?
Hell no I was just confused
You had me so wond up
I didnt even know what my name was
Why did I even fall for you?
You played with my emotions
More than anyone would ever know
Why did I still stick by your side?
I caught you in action with other people
All I did was turn around and leave
Gave you chance after chance
Everytime you would just shit on me
And I STILL went back to you
The stress you gave me
Is more that I ever had to deal with
Now I'm over you
You will never be able to get at me again
Im through with you..

My Beloved Friend?
My beloved friend? Yes, well until I need you the most-
Now you are naught more than a ghost,
Haunting my subconscious mind, with all we used to be;
We are now estranged, because you refuse to see,
Or rather, recognize, that with friendship, comes empathy-
To ignore my plight, you ignore my reality-
I do not ask for your sorrow, nor do I want sympathy,
Just choose one side, not this duality!
I may not just pretend that 'this' is not real;
Of course, as your surreptitious friend,
How much loyalty toward me do you really feel
When I am allowed to fleet, like the wind
For more than a year, with not a single word from you! ?
If you cared as I thought, why have I not heard from you?
You are my very own irresistible enigma,
Yet, I am caught in a place rife with stigma,
With which you are apparently not equipped to deal;
In its stead, you allow circumstance to further steal
Away, our inspired amity, our all-too-real emotion;
Where is the loyalty, what happened to devotion?
Am I alone in wonder, have you no concern for me?
Are you not my friend, or is this something you must, again, learn, to be?
I had only just 'rediscovered' you, then you vanished-
A love I had missed my whole life, has been banished,
To collect dust, as part of your 'former friends pile';
Though, here I am, yearning all the while
For my dear, beloved friend, now gone from me!
It is as though I lost a member of my own family-
May heart aches each day, in the face of this tragedy!
The last thing I needed was for you to run from me,
After all I have been, and continue to go, through!
I needed the love you profess to have, to show through!
Come back, and I promise to never tell you how hurt I was,
When I realized my friend was gone again-
But this time, I insist upon full disclosure, because,
If you love someone, you do not secret them away like a sin;
You celebrate what they mean to you, and contrariwise;
This is my foremost wish, for our reprise-
That, and to allow that we love, without bound,
Whether or not I happen to be, around!

Breakin' Promises
She's two-faced
She's breakin' promises left and right
But I guess that's all life is
Breakin' promises left and right
And learning how to cope
Learning how to just deal
When your best friend is two-faced
Sweet-talking you to your face
Then turning around and breakin' promises
To you, not them
Them meaning people, not her friends
Acting their opposite role in life
And you realize you'll always be there for her
but they won't
She's two-faced
She's breakin' promises left and right
I Will Never Forget You
When I went to same school with you, it was fun being in same class with you and becoming friends
Although we barely talk alot, I enjoy seeing you
You are so quiet and shy
I still miss you
I will never forget you
When I left to move back here
When things that bring back memories about you, I feel sad and want to cry
I feel bad for what I did to make us not friend anymore
If I could go there I would fixed it
You make me very happy on the Valentines Day
I got wrong signals that you like me more than a friend
You did it because you want to know how you felt about me
I will never forget you
You are the guy will never meant to hurt me
When I listen to my favorite songs, it bring back memories about you
It's hard to forget you
I can't move on no matter what I tried and accept you like a friend
I can't, and I want you be my boyfriend, but I can't force you to
I will never forget you
I had so many good memories
I will always feel sad when I heard your name or sad song that remind me of you
Although we are in different city
Is just that apart of me is still over there, and
Part of me is just wishing you were here with me
It will never be the same
I will never forget you
You were one of kind
When this feeling happen, I just to hold it in
I want to be by myself and think
There's nothing I can't do
I had to leave it alone and live my life
I want to show you that I can be a better friend
It was is and leave at that
We both are in good place right now
It fun while it last
I will never forgot you

Come Back To Me
Looking through my old drawer
Came across the letter you wrote
Said you needed time away
That was so long ago
All my life I've waited
To see your smile again
In my mind I hated
Not able to let go
Come back to me
I'm beggin' you please
Come back to me
I want you to
Come back to me
I'm beggin' you please
Come back to me
Lord knows that I have tried
To live my life as one
Friends tell me to hold on
Tough times don't last for long
My abandoned heart
Just doesn't understand
My undying love for you
Won't let me wait
Come back to me
I'm beggin' you please
Come back to me
I want you to
Come back to me
I'm beggin' you please
Come back to me
Please come back to me
I miss you so much
Wherever you are I love you
All my life I've waited
To see your smile again
In my mind I hated
Not able to let go

A Lost Friend.....
What happened to the little girl
who leaned on chubby hands at school.
What happened to that lonesome child,
all plain and fat with soulful eyes.
The other children mocked her,
while I would shun their jibes.
What happened to my precious friend,
the one with dimpled thighs.
I recall the day she ‘died',
It was then she found her smiles
when her breasts grew big and proud,
those days she'd not want me around.
I recall the times she sighed,
when boys at high school caught her eye
remembering the times she melted,
her heart, it drummed a heady beat
forgetting all those bad school days,
she fell in love with love some say.
But I remember way back when,
when we two were the closest friends
and I remember why and then -
I cry for my forgotten friend.
