The Payback
She came with a wound and kindled flame
Her silver eyes brimming sore from restriction,
Her sorry lips cautiously treaded in a ballet
As she spewed the sharpest blades of sabers
Slowly, they lunged at me like the drizzles
Carefully aborted for the final fertilization
Of this barren town of peccadilloes and ghosts
She spoke with the sound of a rainy eve—
Of the most powerful vengeance;
Of the most puissant and malleable force:
A forgiveness that shall humble
The most arrogant and lofty towers
I yearned for the shrilling rapier
Like sequestered starlights
Crawling to the ashen cheeks
Of a lonely waxing moon
And as I bled before her statuesque pose
Her doe eyes rummaged for a patch
That needed to be purged and dabbed
Whilst her eyes wandered yonder
To the sunward slopes of faith
And the cascading sun behind the squall
Before her, I am thickened callus
Putrefied by a thousand caligniosity
The downpour beats its wings harder
And when I begged not to grovel
She set the walls in frenzied flames
Her arson audacity loomed
Amongst the prancing flames
And this was a perfect retribution,
A subtle yet flagrant death
Of a seeded misanthropy
With anvil-weight and a life
A little dandelion-pace late.

Eyes of Green Meet Eyes of Blue
Lonely mornings crawling by
Lonely nights where time won't fly
Lonely days with no hand held
A pounding heart that's never quelled
Crawling slowly back to you
Eyes of green meet eyes of blue
Sitting silent in a daze
A life alone, it never pays
All behind and nothing here
Hiding all the pain and fear
Crawling slowly back to you
Eyes of green meet eyes of blue
Troubled words meet nervous ears
Fighting through the hurt and tears
Finding peace back in your arms
Giving in to all your charms
Crawling slowly back to you
Eyes of green meet eyes of blue
Lazy mornings, all time lost
Melting back the cold and frost
Holding hands and holding hearts
Forgotten endings, brand new starts
Lying right here next to you
Eyes of green meet eyes of blue
Siren Of Fire
Fire:
When the water turns to mist
And the flames are rising high
I'll appear to you my darling
To wipe the tears from your eyes
I'll dance around the fire pit
Running wild with the flames
But as soon as the fire is out
I'll leave you without so much as my name
Water:
When water extinguishes the flame
It will also extinguish me
I will leave you to yourself
To soak in memory
When the land is watered down
And you stand beside the sea
Look for the bonfires
For that is where you'll find me
Burned:
Don't play with fire dearest
You know you will be burned
Leave the flames to me my love
They remind me of how I've yearned
For the sensation of my fire
That keeps our passions hot
I'll stay with you until the tide comes in
But after, I cannot
Drowned:
They douse the flames with water
Putting out the light
I drown with the flames
That ensnared you all night
I cannot stay with you now
My flames have been drowned out
But remember whenever you need me
Fire will bring me about

On The Lonely Side Of Town
On the lonely side of town
When no one else is around
Her brown eyes cry those tears
Over her loves from the past years
Her heart is breaking without a sound
On the lonely side of town
She feels just like a clown
With tears pouring from her eyes
With no rhymn or reason why
But life has turned her upside down
On the lonely side of town
Her head is hanging down
Shaking from side to side
With not much left of her pride
There on that lonely side of town
On the lonely side of town
She is lost behind her frown
But in ways she may never know
Her love fine it's way to show
And by her love she is bound
On the lonely side of town
You can hear the old train sound
Reminding her of those days
When life glowed with brighter rays
Even on that lonely side of town
On the lonely side of town
She is loved by leaps and bounds
Even though she may not see
Love'S the only thing that's free
And it creaps up on her without a sound

Benjamin Fraser
Their spirits beat upon mine
Like the wings of a thousand butterflies.
I closed my eyes and felt their spirits vibrating.
I closed my eyes, yet I knew when their lashes
Fringed their cheeks from downcast eyes,
And when they turned their heads;
And when their garments clung to them,
Or fell from them, in exquisite draperies.
Their spirits watched my ecstasy
With wide looks of starry unconcern.
Their spirits looked upon my torture;
They drank it as it were the water of life;
With reddened cheeks, brightened eyes,
The rising flame of my soul made their spirits gilt,
Like the wings of a butterfly drifting suddenly into sunlight.
And they cried to me for life, life, life.
But in taking life for myself,
In seizing and crushing their souls,
As a child crushes grapes and drinks
From its palms the purple juice,
I came to this wingless void,
Where neither red, nor gold, nor wine,
Nor the rhythm of life are known.

Bless Me Such Thousand Births, O God!
i stand like a speck with dreamy eyes
beneath this wide dome of sky
carpeted with ashen clouds
with nothing to impede my vision-
around me cool winds surfing
i am slowly drenched by soft drizzles
of melodies from distant spheres and heavens
in strange languages in soothing voices
and i spin slowly with outstretched arms-
o god! bless me such thousand births!

The Ruse of the Pink Flamingo
My eyes swan through the sunward sand
Falling with the summer rain and the mist
That shrouds the haled halcyon raiment
Like a gray nostalgia unfenced but tamed
By an inclement drizzle, and here I am
Breathing with the moiré banana leaves
There was a stillness - a vertical line
Erected in the lugubrious susurrations
A silver thread fixed with the marionette
Wistfully frolicking in the aqueous mirror
And sending undulations without a sound
The enthralling artistry was my muse
In this void ulcer of the land, a pink blotch
In the postmortem dirge of savagery
My eyes swan through her wayward dance
The weathervane utterance of the wind
Spoke of the silence's response
To the dipping of her svelte legs
Into the unwavering poise of the pond
And its ageless skin rippled with subtlety
That the sun casted a shower of yellow light
Borne into the dawn of shriveling moths
Upon the mirroring of your charming grace
The tilting legs raised and lunged like a danseuse
With an undertone of vengeance but swathed
With the tired hoping for vindication
And with every mellifluous lift and sway
Was a hint of hope for another day
She careened her head into the dusk
And pivoted her salutary statuesque
Dancing for the reflection and the song
Of the trespassing swallows and storks
Titivating the chasing of the crimson dome
And becoming the ebullient light of the void
But the song will sojourn with the season
Of your gossamer inflection of carnation
It withers like the petals on your waist
And the amusement of your own reflection
Until then, who do you dance for?
The machinations of the elegiac song
Strummed by the plethora of leaves
And ornamented by the astray petals
Played with the willowy dancing feet
And this ruse held her in the oscillating waist
And manipulated her pensive ballet
But when the fix is pilfered
Who will you dance for?

When The Walls Came Tumbling Down
On the first day of the first month in some distant year
The whole sky froze golden
Some said it was the aftermath of the radium bomb
While others told of a final retribution
A terrible revenge of the gods
But we understood the grand finale
Fulfillment of a prophecy told many years before
So all that was left was...
All the women were captured and chained
And national suicide was proclaimed
And New America fell to the ground
And all the children lay crippled and lame
But all the nations came together
In fear of the thought of the end
No more would we fight in the streets
No courage had we to defend
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
Everybody ran as they screamed at the sound
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
Everybody ran as they screamed at the sound
A blinding light the sun had died
A new moon took its place
Tidal waves and open graves the fate of the unhuman race
The city's heart no longer beats no pity have I left to lend
A sinner sits reciting Dylan it's now that I welcome the end
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
Everybody ran as they screamed at the sound
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
Everybody ran as they screamed at the sound
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
Everybody ran as they screamed at the sound
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
When the walls came tumbling down
Nobody made a sound
Down

Outside Our Silent Parasols
Your departure made shadows
inside this steel gray curtain
prancing with every step
like the flames of the sunset
swallowed inside the clouds
draping the unweaving of light
The rain plummets down
trying to furrow the distance
between heaven and earth
while veiling the complacence
festooned with false pretense
Because the obsidian eyes
casted downwards like the rain
is caught in a ponderous downpour
filling the empty basin I held
like a thirsty tree, writhing in time
And as I waded through little oasis
where your steps left a Doppler effect,
I listened to the orchestra of susurrations
and the symphonic percussions -
the minutiae slivers of our shattering
inside this nebulous weather
pleading for the decadence to halt
We wiped our wet faces and
recognized the old photographs
there is no reason to stay astray
under this eternal mad rain
And now that we took shade
under the comfort of our parasols,
the pall of rain marks on my shoulder
and its unlikely weight slowly
reveals itself to me as it
started to dry out and dissolve
The flummoxing tears suspended
and cringed to be dabbed
as the inclement wind sojourned
to listen to its trickling sound
but peace shove embarrassment
into its openly awake wounds
And the thunders still dislimns
the tersely woven conversation
and the lightning still blears
the deterred scope of visions
and the gust and hail goes on
outside our silent parasols
and I catch these moments
on sorry solitary occasions.

The Collective: The Wounded Coyote
A hapless howl in the dark of the night
Rouse like the skin of coal he wore
Shadowing a fire ready to pounce and bite
The bitter pangs haunting his eerie lore
In his chest, a wound in the left, a hollow in the right;
A flagrant death shrilling from the core
I sang along your succor for aid
In kindled fire, we dab and recuperate
Dissecting to build greater barricades
And meander again this forest of ornate
Disheveled from the cold, yet unafraid
Bark and howl! Valor you shall fabricate!
Autumn passed for seasons change
And in the gilded boughs, stark winter perched
You shed into white with the mountain range
And clean you came, from stain you're purged
The pristine cloak in forlorn dark seems strange;
Through winter you held fire, whilst I stagger to lurch
A solitary game and not of hungry hunts
This coyote played and triumphantly taunts

The Demon Lord (Part V)
The air is thick
Smoke rises from the flames
Phelan’s blades scrap against the floor
In front of Him stands the Demon Lord
Fire spews from its mouth
The flames engulf Phelan
They fly from his body
The floor shakes as the Demon Lord leaps down from his throne
Their eyes meet
The flames grow
The Hatred within the Demon Lord’s heart grows
Your reign is over
Are the words that fly from Phelan’s mouth
The words are met by fire
His blades shine
The Demon Lord’s hand grabs a sword
A blade of pure fire appears
Both opponents know the other must die
Fire fills the room
The heat is unbearable
Yet both struggle against each other
Your reign is over
Gold strikes fire
Silver strikes fire
Fire strikes armor
Both slowly weaken
The battle rages on
Your reign is over
Neither gives ground
Neither gain ground
Phelan lifts his mighty blades to the sky
The Demon Lord strikes
Your reign is over
The gold crashes down
The sword of fire is shattered
The pieces fly over the entire world
Your reign is over
The silver blade slices through the air
A gurgled scream is heard through the lands
The body of the Demon Lord crumples
The head rolls out of the palace
As Phelan whips the blood from the swords he yells
Your reign is over

Open Casket Affinity
The fire he sees
Is brighter than any other he's seen before
It's brilliant and bright and it burns deep and red and all at once he's in love.
It's only then he sees the girl it belongs to.
And then he reaches out;
His fingers dance over the flames;
But
The fire dulls and so does she
And she
Was nothing like the grim expression she wore;
She was life itself.
She was living, breathing, brilliant life
It was just a shame that she was no longer living.
But she breathed
She breathed and spoke and walked and slept
And she looked at him
Both with those lovely green eyes
And
With her fire burning behind her
And
Still
She did not live.
But she kissed him
And her kisses ached
The burning intensity which she gave them with
The fire both in her hair and in her kisses reminded him that she was burning
She was a flame
His flame
But in the same sense she was cold and not here and not so much broken as nothing at all.
Each time he saw her
He felt he was seeing a ghost
The ghost burned a dull flame
The fire's final whispers were like a sad sonnet to him;
This dead girl he loved was its ashes
After a slow path of destruction and recklessness
She lay in its wake
The ashes were the distance in her eyes;
The smoke her lies that slip her tongue unnoticed.
He felt he was staring straight in to a coffin
Her open casket;
And he was in love
With the flames
Sometimes forgetting the girl they belonged to.
The way she looks at him;
Wordless
She tells him
Let me go
And love me
Please
Love
Me
But then she's dancing all at once
And hardly moving at all
But the fire is burning
It's burning again and all at once she's both alive and living again;
And he see's the love in her eyes and all at once he understands
The city
She's gone
And she is in love.

The Black Flames
In a dream, a dream, a dream
I walked through a raging fire
With flames the blackest of black
I felt no cold nor heat by their touch
But the eyes, the eyes watching me
I felt a feeling swell and die
Saw the world in full horror
In decay and demise and death
The world is a dying place
Filled with hate, envy and greed
Upon which the blackest flames
Dance, rage and scream
With a horror they scream aloud
Like a banshee calling
To death, while death is watching
I walked through a wall of fire
Where the flames were black
Darker than the night or shadows
All the while I felt nothing
Nothing but the eyes upon me

Soul of Flames
I sit and watch as the flames lick at the bricks
The red, and orange tipped beauty
The tongues of fury lick
As it burns through the wood and metal preforming its duty
The red hipmotizing, the orange bright
I watch the light fill the black
What a wonderful sight
Bringing the memories back
The house falls to pieces as I sit and stare
My tears falling to the ground
My eyes filled whith the flames glare
My tears fall to the ground without a sound
I sit and watch as the flames lick at the bricks
The red, and orange tipped with beauty
The flames swirl and mix
As I sit in silence intranced with love and lust
The flames so wonderful so bright
The night dark as coal
My eyes filled with stars, with light
The flames licking at my soul

Dragonfly
There's a droning alarm
that sinks into the ennui
that perch on every grass,
every exposed skin
browning prematurely
It beats its paper wings
against the languid gust
and sporadic breeze
faster than the afternoon,
slower than a waxing moon
It skip points and niceties
like a pristine rivet
in this sea of brown and gray
drowning quintessence
and quelling fervors
It rovers around a cattail,
circumnavigated the hill of hay,
its metallic sheen flailing
to paint the rising lethargy
and engulfing into synergy
When shifting eyes
is a sound waste of energy,
and chasing time
is only a nurtured malady
a dragonfly beats a separate wind
But where is you corrosive flame?
In this pillaged summer
our souls linger elsewhere
searching for the sound of keys
with dragonfly-contingency
Anywhere is away but here.

Made Of Stone (808 State Remix)
Your knuckles whiten on the wheel
The last thing that your hands will feel
your final flight can't be delayed
No earth just sky it's so serene
Your pink fat lips let go a scream
You fry and melt I love the scene
Sometimes I fantasize
When the streets are cold and lonely
And the cars they burn below me
Don't these times fill your eyes
When the streets are cold and lonely
And the cars they burn below me
Are you all alone
Is anybody home?
I'm standing warm against the cold
Now that the flames have taken hold
At least you left your life in style
And for as far as I can see
Tin twisted grills grin back at me
Bad money dies I love the scene
Sometimes I fantasize
When the streets are cold and lonely
And the cars they burn below me
Don't these times
Fill your eyes
When the streets are cold and lonely
And the cars they burn below me
Are you all alone
Is anybody home
Sometimes I fantasize

Eyes Of Silver
Tom johnston
Eyes of silver hungry and aware
Eyes of silver, your mystic love I share
cause Im hungry baby
For the love you give away
Kick out all that stupid pride
Thats standin in my way
Inside my loving eyes are open wide
Eyes of silver, on which I shall rely
Diamonds are forever, and gold can make you lie
But your eyes of silver shine on, shine on
Blades of steel have helped a man to conquer all
Rubies by the hundreds fill the taj mahal
Eyes of silver, you tell me what I need
To bring this cold and lonely man
Down to his bended knees
Inside my lovin arms are open wide
For you eyes of silver
On which I shall rely
Diamonds and gold make you lie, lie, lie
But your eyes of silver, they shine on, shine on
Eyes of silver, baby, shine on, shine on
Baby, shining, yeah yeah, yeah, baby shining

Flames
Every man is a flame
God the hands that lights us
Satan the lips that blow the wind that seeks to quench us
Our destiny
To stay aflame
We are all flames
Though from different races
Our mission
To ensure that in our desire
To stay flames
We keep as many flames aflame
Together as flames
Our vision burns brighter
Our mission clearer
And the lips that blow the wind
Will only spread us
Never quench us
As flames
We stay close to the hands that light us
And together we remain aflame

What's Behind My Eyes
What is behind my eyes?
A genius,
A lonely soul
One searching for comfort
Hoping for acceptance
What is behind my eyes?
A fighter
A lonely soul
Only wanting final peace
Wishing for a true friend
What is behind my eyes?
A school boy
A lonely soul
Who can't quite grasp reality
Learning new aspects of life
What is behind my eyes?
A peacekeeper
A lonely soul
Who always solves others' problems
Praying to solve his own
What is behind my eyes?
A student
A lonely soul
Constantly studying forms
Looking for some reason to live
What is behind my eyes?
A lost child
A lonely soul
Always whining and cowering
Searching for his family
What is behind my eyes?
A young teacher
A lonely soul
Never resting so that she may help
Dreaming of past happiness
What is behind my eyes?
A companion
A lonely soul
One who lends out comfort
Hoping to receive its own
What is behind my eyes?
