The Faults Of The Mechanism
The maladroit pacing
Of the gears toiling aimlessly
In the gnarls of my temple
Trembling for exoneration
From the imposed mechanism
Where another constellation
Of wintry metallic gears
Hold a violent clout
Girdled by my very thumb
And beckoned by my forefinger
This is how it works
For a masked man
And crystallized soul
A diadem of surly thorns
And impatient magnums
Is the incendiary plying
Of my blood's colour
Riving to be spilled flagrantly
And spatter to stain
The numbness of the grins
Or the chagrined moue
The mechanism is simple:
Come close, touch me
In the sanguinary skin
Gnawed by a bloating fear;
Come closer and scrape the sun
Haul and save me from this gun
Make me run, in your lovely pace,
Hold the gun
Now, loosen
Forget the vows of the forgotten
Release the burning forest
And watch the sullied man
Remove his fluent mask
And metamorphose eagerly
Into a carrion fenced by crows
And vulpine smiles
Of cheap remorse
Putrefying in your shadows,
Haunting in your memories.

Hold Me Close
Withered, trembling, helpless, scared,
Know me for the one I am.
Afraid and searching for the light,
While the darkness consumes me whole.
Hold me close and don't let go...
Alone, trembling, blind, frozen,
Lost and alone in the darkness.
Desperately hoping to find the light,
Calling your name in the bleakness of the abyss.
Hold me close and don't let go...
Help me, love me, see me, know me,
Shrinking, screaming, crying inside.
I've strayed from the path,
But if you can see me you can still save me.
Hold me close and don't let go...
Hear me, hold me, save me, love me,
Reach out for me and we can be.
Save me from the darkness I have become,
You are my final hope of salvation.
Hold me close and don't let go...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Go Away From Me Danger
Unwinding from danger,
With time that I am finding.
Unwinding I am.
And finding I can be,
Impatient.
And desperate to rid the fear,
To escape from those dark shadows...
So near,
To me.
Go-go-go-go-go,
Away.
Release me to welcome,
Other visions in my head.
Remove that fear within me I dread.
Go-go-go-go-go,
Away from me...
Danger.
Tonight don't creep so close to my bed.
Go-go-go-go-go,
Away from me...
Danger.
From you I must unwind!
To leave this fear I find behind.
Release me to welcome,
Other visions in my head.
Remove that fear within me I dread.
Go-go-go-go-go,
Away from me...
Danger.

Grind Me In The Gears
Im holding my last breath
Its burning in my lungs
Clenching up my eyes
Bloody up my tongue
For the words that might escape
Are ringing in my ears
Grinds me to a pulp
Grind me in the gears
My frozen spirit aches
I slip another day
Start to lose my grip
Find another way
For the life that might escape
Has been echoing for years
Grinds me to a pulp
Grind me in the gears
Ive seen all the faces
They mirror me
And Ive felt the tearing tearing of the teeth
Ive given up my ghosts
Barely breathe your name
Offer up myself
Pray youll do the same
For the love that might escape
Well thats the biggest fear
Grinds me to a pulp
Grinds me in the gears

Space Girl Blues
Space girls are as cold as ice
Theyll kiss you once and kiss you twice
Youll shiver and shake and then turn blue
Next you got the space girl blues
I want your mechanism
Give me your mechanism
Space girls always smoke for taste
Swallow butts and leave no waste
Just to show that they dont care
Theyll bite your face and burn the hair
Sado-maso is the rule
You want them they dont want you
The sun comes up the moon boo-hoos
Next you got the spacegirl blues
I need your mechanism
Destroy your mechanism
Destroy it!!

If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem
If I forget thee, Jerusalem,
Then let my right be forgotten.
Let my right be forgotten, and my left remember.
Let my left remember, and your right close
And your mouth open near the gate.
I shall remember Jerusalem
And forget the forest -- my love will remember,
Will open her hair, will close my window,
will forget my right,
Will forget my left.
If the west wind does not come
I'll never forgive the walls,
Or the sea, or myself.
Should my right forget
My left shall forgive,
I shall forget all water,
I shall forget my mother.
If I forget thee, Jerusalem,
Let my blood be forgotten.
I shall touch your forehead,
Forget my own,
My voice change
For the second and last time
To the most terrible of voices --
Or silence.

Scratch The Pitch
The lines fade away
They dissapear
The colour of your lips
Wants to move on
So now
The one you are looking for
Is the one without a
Soul,no soul, no soul, no soul
I need no reasons
To feel the wave inside
So hold on
The only thing you
Have to know
Is I see your make up
Scratch the pitch
And fool me around
The times gone
And no oh
Dont forget
Where you are comin from
Hide your make up
2x
If pain and mania
Show us what we are
I draw your skin
And push you way to far
Cause tonight
Im the one youre looking for
One more time feeding your soul
No soul, no soul, no soul
Between the devil
And the deap blue sea
We fly
Cause there in the
Sand on the shore
Lies our fear
Scratch the pitch
And fool me around
The times gone
And no oh
Dont forget
Where you are comin from
Hide your make up
2x
If pain and mania
Show what we are
Ill draw your skin
And push us too far
Push us too far
There in the sand
Of the shores lying your fear

Bipolar Monday
It's ineptly Monday
And I had a swell night
Last Saturday
That adroitly stretched
Till the dawn of Sunday
With the jocund boys
Of the maladroit taverns
Though I've ruined
And maimed the effervescence
Of the last ticking hours
When I left the guffawing
For I can no longer
Hold my breathing
And the resilient wry
Wrinkled in a caterwaul
Of silence;
Bronchus' collapsing,
Ribs shrilling,
Eyes riddling
Honesty
And it felt worse
To drag a comrade
Into the dark sanguinary
Enigma of this warfare
When he had only
Claimed his deliverance
From his pathos
But it was the only
Light in this tunnel
And this light squirms
When I reveal my wounds
And he was, after all,
A comrade.
And it's only Monday
But the maelstrom of silence
And the latticing breaches
Sends obnoxious thoughts
To pace with me
In this sedentary road
And I shatter
Just to tell
Or to think of
What it is
It is the thing
Beneath the graves.
It is the thing beneath
All of our years
But it is
Here,
Malingering,
Crooning
In my ears
With the sound
Of knives lunging
In the flesh
Past the sternum,
Or the tacit gears
Of a smoldering whispering
To kiss my temples,
Or cars crashing
Into a body
Of lifeless
Tragedies.

The law isn't justice. It's a very imperfect mechanism. If you press exactly the right buttons and are also lucky, justice may show up in the answer. A mechanism is all the law was ever intended to be.

Novocaine
When I was ten, fell out of bed
Got three stitches in my head
It hurt like hell
I saw the blood, I felt the pain
I'd like to feel it once again
'Cause I don't feel it
Then I got stung, right on the face
I screamed and ran around the place
It hurt like hell
I swelled right up, I burned for days
I'd like to feel it once again
Cause when you touch me
When you hold me
When you kiss me
I don't feel anything
When you touch me
When you hold me
When you kiss me
It's just like Novocaine
I remember every cut and scrape
I've been numb so long
Something's wrong
So I'll take anything
I slap my face, I pull my hair
Just to see if something's there
It should hurt like hell
I miss the pinch, I miss the pain
That shock sensation in my brain
Cause when you touch me
When you hold me
When you kiss me
I don't feel anything
When you touch me
When you hold me
When you kiss me
I don't feel anything
When you touch me (When you touch me)
When you hold me (When you hold me)
When you kiss me
I don't feel it
When you touch me (When you touch me)
When you hold me (When you hold me)
When you kiss me
It's just like Novocaine
I don't feel anything
I don't feel it
I don't feel it
I don't feel it
Well, I don't feel it
No, I don't feel it
I don't feel it

The Guardian and BloodRose
BloodRose,
Rose of my love,
My love for Dark moon,
Dark as my heart,
Black as my soul,
And gave me my rose.
The rose of blood,
With petals soft and black,
Never as a rose so beautiful,
Grown not in light,
But under a dark moon lit sky.
Guardian,
Yes a guardian of BloodRose,
With teeth long and sharp,
Claws hard as diamonds,
Scales as dark as night.
My dear sweet guardian,
Guardian black as my heart,
Fire in your eyes,
Shadows in your soul,
A dragon of the dark moon.
A single rose,
With petals so fare,
As dark as my heart,
I now hold in my hand,
The rose of blood.
You are my darkness,
Fear of this love,
This love for you,
Love for darkness,
The cold shadows in my heart
That makes me yearn for you.
Now as you lay dying,
I hold a single rose,
The rose you gave me,
And as I hold it tight,
The thorns slice my hand,
Covered with blood,
My blood.
I have one fear,
The fear of death,
Symbol of my lost love,
Rose as dark as me,
Laying in a pool of blood,
Blood from me.
As I lay dying,
I remember my name,
BloodRose,
I am the rose of blood,
And I died of my own creation.
A creation of perfect beauty,
Petals dark black,
Thorns like small daggers,
Grown from my love,
My love for a dragon,
A dragon as dark as my heart.
Even in my death,
I think of you,
And the rose you gave me,
The rose that killed me,
The Rose of Blood.

My Reply
got your letter and the poetry you sent me
postmarked in december of last year
i really hope you're doing better
all your friends close by your side
one step closer to recovery
i wish there was something i could say
to erase each and every page
you've been through
even though its not my place to save you
i appreciate but cant accept this thank you note
thats sealed with your last breath
and i won't stand aside
and listen to you give up
if you'll just hold on for one more second
just hold on to what you have
just hold on/ just hold on
if you'll just hold on for one more second
just hold on to what you have
just hold on/ just hold on
these arms remain stretched out to you
maybe someday you'll accept them
maybe its too late to save a young girls heart that slowly stopped beating
(maybe)
wake up wake up you've gotta believe
wake up wake up
you cant give up time keeps going on without us
long after we're dead and gone
i wish there was something i could say
to erase each and every page
you've been through
even though its not my place to save you
i appreciate but cant accept this thank you note
thats sealed with your last breath
and i won't stand aside
and listen to you give up
if you'll just hold on for one more second
just hold on to what you have
just hold on/ just hold on
if you'll just hold on for one more second
just hold on to what you have
just hold on/ just hold on

Half A World Away
This could be the saddest dusk
Ive ever seen
Turn to a miracle
High alive
My mind is racing
As it always will
My hand is tired my heart aches
Im half a world away here
My head sworn
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
Go it alone
Hold it along and hold, hold.
This lonely deep sit hollow
Im half a world
Half the world away
My shoes are gone
My life spent
I had too much to drink
I didnt think
And I i didnt think of you
I guess thats all I needed
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
Blackbirds backwards forwards and fall and hold hold.
Oh this lonely world is wasted
Pathetic eyes high alive
Blind to the tide that turns the sea
This storm it came up strong
It shook the trees
And blew away our fear
I couldnt even hear
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
Blackbirds backwards forwards and fall and hold hold.
This could be the saddest dusk
Ive ever seen
Turn to a miracle
High alive
My mind is racing
As it always will
My hands tired my heart aches
Im half a world away and go.

Undaunted
Within this haunting,
I still feel you.
Cascading...
With the rippling birth,
That touches to unnerve,
Each emotion left that is felt!
Within this haunting,
Clinched teeth and fists...
Reminds me my peace of mind,
Has at this time been suspended.
I invited it to lick its lips and sit.
As I twist in degradation!
I dangle!
Attached to fear.
I can't remove it from my grasp!
I am too familiar with it near.
I hear the laughter.
As it entwines and chases me.
Pulling until it appears...
In my sight.
To whisper its presence,
In my ears!
And if I begin to slip...
My grip and hold tightens.
Frighened,
I can not show this.
An escaped I seek...
Dims my chances that look bleak.
Too well it knows I know it!
It draws me closer.
And that is clear...
Within this haunting!
I expose no fear.
Yet still it is here...
Undaunted!

Snared Is My Care
The wind that swept across the hand of time - So i glide along the mist, the cr6me of age - I am caged, inside a six sided room - I painted a portrait, the saint which brooms - The moon with a cow, my resentless destruction of the broken in my vows - I sleep not to keep, my memories which i have lost - The good i have damaged, the thought of rude mixed with sooth - I run in a field, the flowers winter my seeds - The vines of the rose, i use her thorns as a shield, allthough i bleed with needs - My sword, the blade is always unsheathed, i am soaked in blood, my heart snakes for a rat to feed - The cover to my lies, i feel the breeze, off the wings of a fly - I see the colors, the mutter of whispers, from a butterfly - I am clouded with fear, my mind, the engine that break my gears - The screams out of my past, the excitement to pain, i can hear - snared is my care to the web, the spider ate the bears

Echoes Of Love
Patrick simmons / willie mitchell / earl randle
I hear your voice everywhere
Its echoes of love
Making me look back over my shoulder
Echoes of love are started all over
Echoes of love
Keeps on haunting
Im out of control
Keeps on burning
Echoes of love are out of control
Bringing back love I used to hold
Darlin, since you went away
Think about you every day
So many memories
Got to get the best of me
Recalling the times
I used to hold you
I just wouldnt do
What I was supposed to
Ive done things
Id like to undo
Now darlin its you
Id like to run to
Echoes of love
Keeps on haunting
Im out of control
Keeps on burning
Echoes of love are out of control
Bringing back love I used to hold
Echoes of love
Echoes of love
Love, echoes of love
Keeps on haunting
Echoes of love, echoes of love
Keeps on burning
Echoes of love

Fair Rose
Fair rose, fair rose, so sweet and soft,
Just as the skin of a new born babe,
Thy beauty grows as day goes by,
The danger wakes in thy razor thorns.
How, oh how can a creature so beauteous,
Hold such dire treacherousness?
Thou hast drawn me in so close,
Just outside thy painful touch,
When desire outgrows sense,
And thy thorn doth bring red stain.
Fair rose, fair rose, so sweet and soft,
How can thy beauty hold such great pain?

Reflections Waltz
Let your hair down, loosen the grip,
Take it at your own pace.
Dropping down, without a frown
It seems all I am a soul of a clown
Confined within the boundaries of a fool.
Always one more time, just to see it through,
When will it grow old, or will it keep growing old with you.
Let the people know the world they fear is no charade
There’s dogs that walk the streets with shining plastic smiles,
Girls upon parade, fade into the shadows,
still temptation takes hold.
Here I lay complacent,
Displaced from my form.
Take me to another plain,
So I can grow and be reborn.
Soon the realization
That every single day is simply passing
By us in another simple way.
Waste away the years
Find something to say.
Above the drink, the paling moon,
Dancing an eternal waltz in harmony,
With the symphony of life,
We play, we pray to see you soon.
Lock as the door hides you away,
Ashamed of your mask,
You knew the illusion would never last
How far have we come to see the day is done this way?
To smile another time, close your eyes, you know the way,
a way to see the blues into the nightshades, below the moon.
Rejoin with friends long lost in obscurity, I love you, I love,
Silent Spring as she breathes fresh air into the arms of the lovers,
Blame no one but the hand of fate that guides the mood,
Everyone together now rejoice, be reborn with the new year as shadows
Waltz with reflections in the looking glass.
Pictures ripped up, torn, my mask is a little worn,
Better start rebuilding to be reborn with the wind by my side.
There’s no need to sit and watch, what is it you wish to gain
Take a picture it’ll last a little longer keep forever still the rain.
Into pale shades of the moon, we close our eyes and sink into the night
The temple lies in ruins; beyond the skies there flies the loon
With melting goo-goo eyes, bound for bloodshot skies, horizon bound
For sorrow, always running round in circles, lost and never found lay tomorrows
Dreams unfounded.
Rejoin the tribe
Growing older, wiser everyday
What’s left to wipe the tears away?
It’s mine to share, leave me alone, it doesn’t seem fair
That it should all pan out this way
Get out of my room, I don’t want to be here with you.
Why is it I feel this way?
I can never understand
this fantasies too real for me
No place left for me to land.
A year since our last kiss
Sweet rose,
Lost in crystal bliss a pose,
Withered as the river knows
To keep on flowing but not where to go.
This is all we know.
Wasting away everything we own
Digging the dirt, strip some meat from the bone
Dreams lie in the present
We are all that can exist
In-between meditation,
There’s no appeal in motivation
There’s some sense of hesitation
In doing nothing. Oh sweet nothing at all.
So much I’ve seen in what came to pass, lets see it through the year,
The first the most, and everything, the day the world melted before your eyes,
And the floorboards dripped down onto the ceiling, twisted, burnt, ripped, worn down to the bone.
Adorned in gold upon your throne, don’t make a fool of yourself
Tease me, please me, and release me of your spell
I have no tale to tell, no canvas on which to paint the love I felt back then
More fresh, alive, a will to survive that’s what we have,
With faces that now seem strange in a distant light.

Vendetta
While the chagrined wine
rummaged like a felled rose -
electric shivers in the spine
willowing the pretty mouth
and the abolition of eyes
the tethers that we rival
only strops the exoneration
into exacerbating this
premature demise
Waltz into the dark curtain
like a soundless hunter
Hold your vehemence
in a gnarl I'd never grasp
and into my diamond penetralium
send the lamentations
like ghastly susurrations
from masquerading
varmints of my sanctum;
Like a connoisseur contender
be the vendetta
of my trespasses
Into my insulated night
come, like an ominous chill
from the sniffing hounds
and do not pity
or scorn at my cradle
as empty as
a womanless bed
Stifle under your breath
to descry the black veins
running like a torrent horse
away from the fray -
A tide to wash away
the derided sanity
with a hathful of squalor
and caustic brine
These waterlogged eyes
unheeding its abrasions
silent like a grave
for all the exhorted alibis
but if you can crane closer
enough to catch my perishing
and wuthering pillars
shall you weep not
for the burnt shutters
of my vacant windows
for when your breath
catches the sibilant embers
the flyleaf would turn
itching and desperate
for another tragedy
Unless you come
for the perfect vengeance
against all the lattices
that sundered our incendiary,
for when you hold me close
into the spikes of finitude
I would gorge in quantum chances
and topple back unto
your generous brawls
