Orphaned Light
With such insentient fervor
He nibbled on his fingernails
Whetting the anxious squirming
And posed the levity of his head
On the snowcapped comportment
In the craning arms of the window bay
And the inebriated moon dawn closer
Inflated in its own opaqueness
Elucidating the chapped eviscerations
On the stripped placidness of his features
And his eyes of lifeless age
Tinkered of a spurious verve
That plucks the distant luminaries
Like saccharine pebbles and berries
That slathers the rocking cradle of apathy
Whilst the quicksand on his mattress
Spun and pirouetted in vertigo
And he was like a sordid spit of clay
Without the molding of the potter's hand
And the dense concrete walls crept loftier
Closing him in the loins of asphyxiation
As he thawed like a candle wax
In a fanaticism to be one with the wandering
And unfettered enthralling night crystals
That now starts to undulates like a lifeline
Beckoning the perilous arrival of the nadir
Of one orphaned luminary now musing
The assembly, now hissing like angry jewelries
With the biting frost of the gale
On the portico of their sailing ships
Running like fading lights on streets
Past the chasms of the slumbering city
Far away from the very soul
Of a vacant home.
Back on his fingernails,
With so much insentient fervor
He unsheathed strength from a vulnerable place
And comb the golden threads of his tethers
His lips quavered and mouthed:
Will those stars return again?

He...a father...an insentient.
He is a father,
Walking door to door,
Running here and there,
Begging the sympathy,
Ragging his own,
Only for his child,
Who is now in coma,
Fighting with death,
He...a father...an insentient.
He is a father,
Staring at the body,
His eyes are foggy and wet,
That body belongs to his son,
Who is now past only,
Only for a few dollars,
Or for a sympathy of kind hearts,
He...a father...an insentient.
He is not alone,
Lots like him around us,
Waiting for our hands,
Seeking for our helps,
He can not but cry,
He is so incapable,
Only see his child to loose,
Far away from him,
He...a father...an insentient.
You, me, anyone of us,
Would be one like him,
Please raise our hands,
Save a life of a child,
Not for the sake of god,
Not for him or his child,
Just for us, our child,
Not let them to die for dollars,
Not let to sigh and cry,
Any man of poverty like him,
He...a father...an insentient.

The Sun, The Moon And Stars
Ah-ooh, ah-ah-ooh, ah-ah-ooh, ah-ah-oh-ooh {2x}
It's late and i'm running out of clever things 2 say
The kind that will bring a girl like u 2 tears
There's only one more glass of this ros
Let's throw it on the fire with our past
And dance the night away until...
The sun, the moon and stars
Don't seem as far as they did yesterday
The sun, the moon and stars
In love we r - 4ever, always
It's late and i think it's about time 4 u and me 2 get closer...
2 get closer than we ever did before (ooh)
Whenever there's a tide u can let it ride inside your interior
Lay back, relax upon my shore (ooh)
Ooh-ooh baby, i wanna make love 2 u right here
One inside the other one - no fear, we're here until...
The sun, the moon and stars
Don't seem as far as they did yesterday
The sun, the moon and stars
In love we r - 4ever, always
Blow out this candle sunlight
And come lay down next 2 me
And paint another rainbow - ooh-wee (ooh-wee)
Eclipse this light with extasy
[...]
Come on, come on
Let's lay down
I'm walking out of what to say
That kind of lucky rhyme
Make a chippy wanna say:
whisper in the belly
2 me rocking ros?
Do u like i do
Come on and dance the night away
Let's lay before they get to close the door
U and me, we got 2 get down on the floor
Come on, let the tide ride in and off the shore
I wanna love u once again - and then some more
Lay your head back i got my hand behind your head
Like u do the limbo supple on the bouncy bed
Let's bouncing on the summer spring
And when u start 2 fall
U come like a cold winter due in montreal
(come on baby)
(the sun, the moon and stars) - hey-hey, hey-hey
(the tide ride) - hey-hey, hoo-hoo
(the tide ride - hou)
The sun, the moon and stars
Don't seem as far as they did yesterday
The sun, the moon and stars
In love we r - 4ever, always
The sun, the moon and stars
Don't seem as far as they did yesterday
The sun, the moon and stars
In love we r - 4ever, always

Jeepney
From places I scavenge and assemble verve
To places where I depreciate with the anthology,
The jeepney was an unfettered sailing to ferry me
While riding the undaunted wind that winnows
The opulence of the foliage of the old nirvana
In shunning the places of my incarceration.
I was moored on my uncomfortable repose
As the wind lathers into the pockmarks of my face
From the scars to the viscera to what lies yonder beneath
And I sauntered in my mind map without staggering
That I savvy this propelling with an ethereal verve.
Alcohol and conversations could be too cloying
But the I suppose it is better than nothing
Though I still prefer the latent spaces in time
Where I rode the jeepney in the most precious instance
Halting in the equinox of late night and early dawn
And defying the clockwork's fey steerage,
Where I can become ubiquitous in all places like
The wind that drove me into the clandestine places
Inside the jeepney but all over the scalp
Of a weary wandering pounding heart.
In this lapses of life, where I am not participating
In the jocund cotillion of vim and vigor
But neither alone in the boudoir of squalor,
I go closer to the gloaming without burning,
Watch the wind alter in prismatic shades,
And grow wings for conquering a parade.
As I am ferried to different timelines
With varied proportions and profane frameworks
Chasing taillights, watching the darkness erode
The city scrapes the sky to divulge my home
Not amongst the distant sundered lights
But in the latent spaces of time by the window.
Home is where I belong, home is yawning far-flung
For my home is in the lapses of my life,
Sauntering past the decadence
In a cosmic gypsies' voyage
While being present in the absence
In the mobility of the jeepney
I subsist in the nonexistence.

Riding Shotgun
The highway is lined up
with festooning lights
fading every taken mile
I was riding shotgun
shaking my eyes from fake stars
and the bloated moon hanging
with a taunting repose
I moon to go back
into the downtrodden drive
but what is a night of splendor
under transient scintillation
from the white lights
tossed in the highway?
But I rode the shotgun
hauling out jackknives and wings
as I moon over the most distant musing
unbending backward to the reflection
of a self-inflicted deterioration

You Can Never Go Home
Open the door and adjust my eyes
The concrete streets are as gray as the skies
The wind stings my face and this world just melts away
And it brings me back to another place bur memories are such a waste
You can never go home, you left that world behind
Is this the only place
The only place to go
Are these tired words, the only that we know
The old familiar taste, of the bottle in my hand
Or is this the only place, I can understand
Your whiskey tainted wisdom spills like vomit from your mouth
The world is closing in and I just gotta get out...
Of my head and of this town
Familiar places are bringing me down,
The truth can be hard to swallow
When its spit right in your face.
I just gotta get out
Hay

Night of dew and tangle
I recall a night of dew and tangle
As the dew fell on the cobweb from a wind at angle
To leave it threaded with stars
A night of scattering jewels on fences and pastures bars
As proud dawn rose against dry grass bright
Yet to come under human sight
And tangled boughs and weaved weeds
Bearing a rainbow gem on each of their seeds
Come again you blue dust of evening over slumbering city,
Over this ocean of roofs, walls, streets and tall towers
Where the window-lights innumerable claim skies without pity
And bloom from the walls like climbing flowers.

Mothers Horror
Pain is watching your mother take her last breath
Pain is seeing the doctor announce her death
They said she could hear, till the very last
Whispering I love you mom, I forgive you for the past
Trying to hold back emotion, biting my lip
Knowing any moment she'd be taking that trip
Fighting back the tears, I was totally numb
Chewing on my fingernails and biting on my thumb
The time passed so slowly, while I was in shock
I'd sit weeping for a while and then take a walk
Oh mother don't leave me, I just found your love
I knew it had to end, she was needed above
Her suffering finally ended, late one night
Angels took her home, when she gave up the fight
Now all I'm left with, are many memories of pain
The nursing home killed her, cause her to be slain
I will fight till the end, for her you see
I don't have dementia, they'll have to deal with me
You love them and you think you give them the very best
It's a home of horrors, by now you've guessed
They made plenty of money, for her to stay
Closing them down is what I pray!

Sisotowbell Lane
Sisotowbell lane
Noah is fixing the pump in the rain
He brings us no shame
We always knew that he always knew
Up over the hill
Jovial neighbors come down when they will
With stories to tell
Sometimes they do
Yes sometimes we do
We have a rocking chair
Each of us rocks his share
Eating muffin buns and berries
By the steamy kitchen window
Sometimes we do
Our tongues turn blue
Sisotowbell lane
Anywhere else now would seem very strange
The seasons are changing
Everyday in everyway
Sometimes it is spring
Sometimes it is not anything
A poet can sing
Sometimes we try
Yes we always try
We have a rocking chair
Somedays we rock and stare
At the woodlands and the grasslands and the badlands cross the river
Sometimes we do
We like the view
Sisotowbell lane
Go to the city youll come back again
To wade thru the grain
You always do
Yes we always do
Come back to the stars
Sweet well water and pickling jars
Well lend you the car
We always do
Yes sometimes we do
We have a rocking chair
Someone is always there
Rocking rhythms while theyre waiting with the candle in the window
Sometimes we do
We wait for you

Beyond The Distant Hills
The sun is shining for me,
beyond the distant hills.
Where my love is waiting,
for my return.
The water is sweet to drink,
beyond the distant hills,
where a warm fire is waiting,
for my return.
The grass bends in the breeze,
beyond the distant hills.
Where my love’s heart yearns
for my return.
A candle lights a window,
beyond the distant hills.
Where someone keeps a watchful eye,
for my return.
Beyond the distant hills,
where no clouds gather,
and no storms darken the sky.
Beyond the distant hills,
bright eyes wait for my return.
Beyond the distant hills,
my dreams will come true,
and I promised myself one day I will get there.

My Father’s Son
Once
when I was still a baby boy
obsessed, thrilled with dark night sky
father said, shut your eyes tightly
then sailed I into dark night sky
dreaming of my arms
dipping in deep, dark-blue velvety
palpating golden sheen of the golden full moon
snatching twinkling stars.
But
i fell like lead
just before hard ground
to my father’s arms- veinated, calloused
his chirped nails safely grabbed
then
i opened my eyes
stretching my empty arms, pink nails
for a earnest glimpse of
a dip of deep, dark-blue velvety
golden sheen of the golden full moon
snatched twinkling stars.
and I felt sad.
Then-
father buried his head on my nape
his grizzly beard tickling my face
making little ‘blurp’ ‘blurp’ sounds
my shrill laughter
accosting his deep throaty laughter
echoing my disappointment into dark night sky
before sailing me into dark night sky
back to his rough-gentle arms
again
again
and again
to dip in deep, dark-blue velvety
palpate golden sheen of the golden full moon
snatching twinkling stars.
“Drink all Ma’s omena* soup
to be taller, reach the dark night sky”
father said, following my gaze
into the dark night sky
static radio bleating reggae
golden full moon bathing us in golden sheen
just me and my father
sleeping in his rough-gentle arms
dreaming of my arms
dipping in deep, dark-blue velvety
palpating golden sheen of the golden full moon
snatching twinkling stars

Polly strips His bed
Polly strips back the sheets
where Master George has lain.
She folds the white sheets and
lays them on a chair. She lies
her head on the pillow where
his head has been. She sniffs
and smells him. Closing her eyes
she imagines she's there beside
him and he has her in his arms,
his lips against her flushed cheek.
She imagines they are in bed
together when dawn's light breaks
through the shutters and Susie
the other maid enters and wide
eyed she mouths a huge round O.
She opens her eyes; the pillow
is vacant beside her head, just
a small indentation where he had
laid his head the night before.
She fingers into the pocket of her
white apron a few black hairs she's
discovered on the white pillowcase.
She strips off the pillowcases and
puts them with the sheets. The bed
is now stripped of all coverings
and is left to air. She imagines as
she stands that he is still there,
laid out unclothed, skin all bare.
But in reality she knows he has
gone of to war as he has before.
She hopes he will return alive
and in one piece; no missing
limps or blind or gassed as some
have been she's read; but most of all
she dreads him laid out cold and damp
in some foreign field lying still and dead.

Bygone and Begotten
You sauntered back
into this forlorn
with tersely steps
inveigling the phantoms
that wandered the walls
of these stygian isle
And everything leads back
into the narrow sky
where your stoned fist
pierced for amends
and the silver thread
where you staggered once
profusely bled
While the inebriated moon
danced in a field of graves
its umbra zithered
the wary ocean to salute
the midnight toast you raised
beleaguering the asylum
of yesterday's
bygone and begotten,
Caught in the vortex
where you daggers
interpolated and connived
And with all these peril
chiding the shapeless air
a silent figure stood
in the threshold of the moon
and suddenly
there were no reasons -
like a sullen
mortality,
to be afraid
Sloshing through the farce
and the limbo of flustered days
my tongue pivots through
to the gelid taste of the past
whetting the hungry flame
like a saint inside a den
of savageness and ferocity -
A candle steadfast its flame
in the insulated conundrum
and with every escalation
its sublime perspiration
perished and thawed
to clog the sky
where the spigot of regret
flourishes to die

Alarm Clocks
When Dawn strides out to wake a dewy farm
Across green fields and yellow hills of hay
The little twittering birds laugh in his way
And poise triumphant on his shining arm.
He bears a sword of flame but not to harm
The wakened life that feels his quickening sway
And barnyard voices shrilling "It is day!"
Take by his grace a new and alien charm.
But in the city, like a wounded thing
That limps to cover from the angry chase,
He steals down streets where sickly arc-lights sing,
And wanly mock his young and shameful face;
And tiny gongs with cruel fervor ring
In many a high and dreary sleeping place.

Take Me Back To The Country
Well this big city life is gettin me down
Theres just too many people around
Theres dirt in the air and crime in the street
High-rise buildings and cold concrete
This rat race sure enough takes a toll
I wanna run off to my fishin hole
Take me back take me back
Take me back to the country
Take me back take me back
Take me back to the country
Chorus:
Where the stars at night
Outshine those city lights
Take me back to the country
Where the eagles fly
And the treetops touch the sky
Take me back to the country
This traffic jam is makin me mad
I miss the simple life I had
Peace and quite runnin free
I wanna go home to my family
Im sick of the clock, sick of the phone
Out in the country my times my own
Take me back take me back
Take me back to the country
Take me back take me back
Take me back to the country
Chorus:
Where the stars at night
Outshine those city lights
Take me back to the country
Where the eagles fly
And the treetops touch the sky
Take me back to the country
Where the stars at night
Outshine those city lights
Take me back to the country
Where the eagles fly
And the treetops touch the sky
Take me back to the country
Take me back to the country

Dirty Fingernails And Smelly Clothes
An ode to the lifeblood of society both past and present
The multitude of souls who break their spirits to present
Many invisible services to residents who resent
The smell of soiled clothes without their written consent
Or dirty fingernails that fix their home to their content
And fill their rooms with all varieties of foreign content
From all continents
Where beleaguered joints can make them look prominent
By spinning threads into patterns or metal into confident
Shapes that allure the senses and induces false confidence
Amongst others who toil under the same notion
That if they work hard enough
They’ll gain the boss’s devotion
Unaware the head office needs them more than they
Need the head office to provide them with pay
For without dirty fingernails and smelly clothes
What’s to stop the garbage from piling up in rows?
Who’s to handle all the folks with the tags on their toes?
Where can one go to drown away all their woes?
So
The next time you walk by and turn up your nose
Know
That when it comes back down and you look around
You might have to check your nails
And take a whiff of your clothes

Grey Lady Of The Sea
(lebon)
Youve whispered out loud
But your breeze doesnt bend
Were lying in the palm of your hand
No land we see, no place to be
The salt of your tears, adds stain to our hearts
Theres no long years can tear us apart
Our futures entwined with your past
Because when we lie awake
Well be thinking of you
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Bravado is all but gone
And patience is down
You scared us and youve turned us around
But you wont let us drown
Because when we lie asleep
Well be dreaming of you
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
So answer us when we call
And say if you think were old
When life is so short we can stay long
But youll never be alone
Because one day well return
Well be waiting for you
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home
Blow, grey lady blow your ships back home

Mindfog
this day
the frost has
frozen over the glass, and
the doors are snow-stuck shut
fog is dense,
milky like blind eyes
and my feet fall
through unexpected inches
when I step past sidewalk
onto the snowsuffocated grass
pairs of ghostlights drift along
the road, roaring and humming
as they hover in the quiet,
trying to find still in the snowstorm.
a morning
where we awaken
to the same night
we slept to –
moon overstaying its welcome
while the sun struggles
to shine through the gloom.
and I know across the city
you are somewhere wandering
in the eyes sleepstuck shut of an
everchanging dreamland.
and you will wake to the fog lifting
drifting upwards past your windowsill
the still trees shaking in frost coats
as the sun finally shines
prying open your sleepy eyes.

Beyond The Sea
Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing
Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere watching for me
And if I could fly like birds on high
Then straight to her arms
Id go sailing
Its far beyond the stars
Its near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
Well meet beyond the shore
And well kiss just as before
And happy well be beyond the sea and
Never again Ill go sailing
Yeah
Oh
Listen up
Yeah
Its far beyond the stars
Its near beyond the moon
I know, yes I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
Well meet, I know well meet beyond the shore
And well kiss just as before
And happy well be beyond the sea
And never again Ill go sailing
And never again Ill go sailing
And never again Ill go sail sailing, yeah
