I will beguile him with the tongue
Reason says, “ I will beguile him with the tongue.”; Love says,
“Be silent. I will beguile him with the soul.”
The soul says to the heart, “Go, do not laugh at me and yourself.
What is there that is not his, that I may beguile him
thereby?”
He is not sorrowful and anxious and seeking oblivion that I
may beguile him with wine and a heavy measure.
The arrow of his glance needs not a bow that I should beguile
the shaft of his gaze with a bow.
He is not prisoner of the world, fettered to this world of earth,
that I should beguile him with gold of the kingdom of the world.
He is an angel, though in form he is a man; he is not lustful
that I should beguile him with women.
Angels start away from the house wherein this form is, so how
should I beguile him with such a form and likeness?
He does not take a flock of horses, since he flies on wings; his
food is light, so how should I beguile him with bread?
He is not a merchant and trafficker in the market of the world
that I should beguile him with enchantment of grain and loss.
He is not veiled that I should make myself out sick and utter
sighs, to beguile him with lamentation.
I will bind my head and bow my head, for I have got out of
hand; I will not beguile his compassion with sickness or fluttering.
Hair by hair he sees my crookedness and feigning; what’s
hidden from him that I should beguile him with anything hidden.
He is not a seeker of fame, a prince addicted to poets, that I
should beguile him with verses and lyrics and flowing poetry.
The glory of the unseen form is too great for me to beguile it
with blessing or Paradise.

will beguile him with this same pole of the age.

The Lasso Of Love
Love walks behind us every day until we find someone,
Then throws its lasso right away so that the spell's begun!
That's why we linger for a while when really we could leave!
And yet we're captured by a smile with scarcely time to breathe!
Our eyes are drawn as though transfixed, now focussed on one face!
At first we stare with feelings mixed... then all falls into place!
Too late! It's happened! There it is: it started with a sigh...
The guy's now pining for a kiss before he says goodbye!
Her eyes are twinkling, yes, they are! Love's lasso then pulls tight!
So that's how come they can't go far! That's why they're so polite!
It's 'Thankyou! ' this and 'Thankyou! ' that and smiles from ear-to-ear!
He's working hard with all the chat! Yes, something's going on here!
Good God! He's even asked her out! Good God! The girl said, 'Yes! '
Only love could bring this about, that lasso sure can bless!

Ermine landscapes
Running into the mountains all children would go...
With hearts aflutter O there's a golden rainbow
And a pot of gold on a white ermine landscape-
Of snow, where playful; polar bears play
With Apollonian spirits roaring all day—
And a billion stars with a moonscape!
You can closely lasso, you can lasso,
And, take your Winnie the Pooh,
Do you remember this, too?
Or is it just me.

Friendship
Friendship
Friendship is love,
Without friendship love means nothing!
Without friendship love is empty…
Without friendship love is boring...!
Friendship means sharing…
People learn to share from friendship,
Share everything they have in life,
Friendship is like stars,
Even though we always see them together
Always mean to each other…
But,
Sometimes they argue!
Friendship is like flower,
Soft but strong!
Friendship is like sun,
Bright and beautiful!
Friendship is everything in life,
Life without friendship is like life without air…
Life without friendship is like eats without food
And
Life without friendship is like body without soul…
Friendship is wide!
Anybody can be our friend,
Our parents, our grandparents, our sister, our brother and even our school principal!
Friendship….
Is everything!

Happy Friendship Day,2011
Good friendship is important in earthly life
True friendship is a rare find, lasting a life-time
Friendship is supportive, wholesome and priceless
Friendship must grow but is difficult to keep.
Friendship affords joy, solace and distraction
Friendship gives a better meaning to life
Friendship may deliver what parents sometimes fail to
Friendship is valuable, useful and advantageous.
Friendship makes the world a better place to live
Friendship makes living worthwhile, loveable and liveable
Friendship creates the right environs for sharing
The basis of good friendship is selfless, dedicated love of a special kind.

Post Post-modern Man
If I had a hammer
Id wake up my neighbors
Pounding out a rhythm
All about you
If I had a pencil
Id push me some paper
Id build a skyscraper
To get close to you
If I had a lasso
Id sail out the window
And land on an island
Next to you
If I had a hot rod
Id fasten up my seatbelt
And break the speed limit
Gettin to you
But I aint got a hammer
And I aint got a pencil
And I aint got a lasso
So Im doing it the hard way
Like a post post-modern man
If I had a credit card
Id clear me a pathway
Through the deepest jungle
Right to your door
If I had a camera
Id snap away my fingers
And collect up the pictures
Of you of course
But I aint got a hot rod
And I aint got a credit card
No chance for a camera
So Im doing it the hard way
Like a post post-modern man
Well I aint got a hammer
And I aint got a lasso
No chance for a camera
So Im doing it the hard way

Almost Heartless
The paper is incarcerated
In the redolence of tobacco
Yet, I brave the spangling wine
Running down the temples
To pull a marionette
Inebriated by the bedlam
Shackled in these pillars
Of security where I curl up
Like a marred moth
And lazily putrefy,
Haplessly flapping wings,
Ripping the gilded strings
And becoming a garden
For perfidious butterflies
And I vied, tried, groveled
Swallowing the soldering pride
Dispensing the heart
And claiming the magnitude
Of this quake, of a mistake
A heart breaks,
Another gamble lost
As the cards burned
Before my fingers.

Lasso The Moon
She carries the water from the well in the morning
While the sand burns her feet the sun only stares
And the loneliness lingers with slow grasping fingers
As the afternoon withers the flowers in her hair
Then night fills the sky as she sits on the hillside
And memories drift by like clouds past the stars
Recalling romances and all the bright chances
But none of them lasted. they passed through her heart
And she says -
Where is a man who can build a good fire
With a passion as wide as the sky at high noon
A man whose hand is strong as his longing
Where is the man who can lasso the moon
She falls asleep and her dreams are her blanket
And she shares with the moon the secret she knows
As the dawn leaves its tears to wash the dry valley
The tears of a woman can wash a mans soul
And she says -
Where is a man who can build a good fire
With a passion as wide as the sky at high noon
A man whose hand is strong as his longing
Where is the man who can lasso the moon
And she says -
Where is a man who can build a good fire
With a passion as wide as the sky at high noon
A man whose hand is strong as his longing
Where is the man who can lasso the moon
And I say -
I am a man who can build a good fire
And my passions as wide as the sky at high noon
Come take my hand, its as strong as your longing
Just say the word and Ill lasso the moon

Bestiary
The bestiary ruminates
with feline stalking
and vulpine calculations
and in the gallows
of this machine's lasso
I seek for garrison
Like a den
for the famished ponderings
and slavering propositions
Like a cage,
for the leonine trepidation
and the myriad of souls
adrift in unconsciousness
These words surfacing
the abysmal void of the paper -
footmarks of an transient paw
riveted in a stupor
under the salient verdigris
of the softest putrefaction
The perfidious sibilance
slithers in the crevasses
and the vulturine ululations
trampled inside the chamber
The bestiary is inside
the heart of this machination
like a den, like a cage
protecting the frangibility
from its own brittle bones

A Daily Walk to Work
I see him daily
He doesn't follow
He only stares
But that is pain enough
As I walk by him
I display the strength
Of a Spartan
Though I know
It's as weak
As a robin's egg
But those eyes
Those
Hungry
Begging eyes
Pull me closer
A cowboy's lasso
Around my waist
I rear back
A bucking mustang
But my strength
Is not enough
I reach into my pocket
A quarter dollar
The ridges
Roll across my fingers
Locked on those
Icicle eyes
I dropp it to the ground
The lasso is released
The spartan finds his sword
I
Continue
Walking

A Friendship Is But A Flower
A friendship is but a flower
Growing out in Gods garden
Helping out the fellow man
Not knowing should they get a pardon
A friendship is but a flower
Waiting to bloom in the spring
Waiting with a helping hand or an ear
To help or listen to most any ol thing
A friendship is but a flower
That God lends to us for a while
To help us along our way
And give us a reason for a smile
A friendship is but a flower
Leaving impressions on our hearts
Never knowing when it might end
But, always happy to see it start
A friendship is but a flower
Sent with guidance from above
The friendship must be based on trust
But, like the flower, it's started with Gods love
Friendship is but a flower
Sent down for all of us to share
So pass on your bit of friendship
Show someone just how much you care
A friendship is but a flower
And this friendship I pass on to you
So please take my flower and friendship
So you can pass it on to others too

Love Gone Wrong (A Nightmare Song and an Answer to the Evangelists)
Christ spoke to me from the gallows
And burned a hole in my heart.
He said I'd never be the same again,
I'd always feel pain.
He set me apart from my fellows.
He's nailed me to a system of belief
That brings me endless grief.
Christ speaks to me from the gallows.

Gallows Pole
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
Think I see my friends coming,
Riding a many mile.
Friends, did you get a little silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my dear friends,
To keep me from the gallows pole?
What did you bring me to keep me from the gallows pole?
I couldnt get no silver, I couldnt get no gold,
You know that were too damn poor
To keep you from the gallows pole.
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
I think I see my brother coming,
Riding a many mile.
Brother, did you get me some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my brother,
To keep me from the gallows pole?
Brother, I brought you some silver,
I brought a little gold,
I brought a little of evry thing
To keep you from the gallows pole.
Yes, I brought you to keep you from the gallows pole.
Hangman, hangman, turn your head awhile,
I think I see my sister coming,
Riding a many mile, mile, mile, mile, mile.
Sister, I implore you, take him by the hand,
Take him to some shady bower,
Save me from the wrath of this man,
Please take him,
Save me from the wrath of this man, man.
Hangman, hangman, upon your face a smile,
Pray tell me that Im free to ride,
Ride for many mile, mile, mile.
Oh, yes, you got a fine sister,
She warmed my blood from cold,
Brought my face to boiling hot
To keep you from the gallows pole,
Your brother brought me silver,
Your sister warmed my soul,
But now I laugh and pull so hard
And see you swinging on the gallows pole

Sonnet: A Lost Friendship
You were my friend then: now almost stranger!
Our friendship appeared once very glorious;
What happened meantime, gives me great anger;
Our friendship no longer remains serious.
Fool you were, to be misled by others,
Who drove a giant wedge ’midst our friendship;
Cut off is our friendship, which me bothers;
A nadir has come in our relationship.
What years of intimacy have been lost?
You’ve been foolish, very much on your part;
Our friendship today is just but a ghost;
Won’t your eyes see the true love in my heart?
Dear friend however, you can’t be my foe;
I hope that our friendship, blossoms once more!

Friendship And Love
Friendship is love
Love is friendship
Why
Have one when you don’t have the other
When
Love depends so greatly
On friendship
That
Without friendship
Love could not exist
Friendship is within love
Love is within friendship
They can’t live
Cant breath
Without each one another
Can’t be
Truly there without each other
They don’t fight the war
Against each other
They fight it as
A team
A bond
So powerful that no man shall ever
Break them a part

Friendship
Friendship needs no studied phrases,
Polished face, or winning wiles;
Friendship deals no lavish praises,
Friendship dons no surface smiles.
Friendship follows nature's diction,
Shuns the blandishments of art,
Boldly severs truth from fiction,
Speaks the language of the heart.
Friendship favors no condition,
Scorns a narrow-minded creed,
Lovingly fulfills its mission,
Be it word or be it deed.
Friendship cheers the faint and weary,
Makes the timid spirit brave,
Warns the erring, lights the dreary,
Smooths the passage to the grave.
Friendship-pure, unselfish friendship,
All through life's allotted span,
Nurtures, strengthens, widens, lengthens,
Man's relationship with man.

Divorce
Why do we have to slaughter
our love in the gallows
of rudeness and indifference?
Why do we have
to chop off our love
with the sharp knives
of hate, anger and fear?
Why do we have to come
to these gallows
and slaughter our love?
Why do we have to proclaim
the death of our love?

FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is an eternal brook of nectar-
Nectar of love and affection
Which friends drink with elation.
It is an everlasting gift of the creator.
Friendship is a rivulet of fraternity-
Of attraction and attachment,
Of sharing and caring.
Men may come and go but friendship lasts with eternity.
Friendship is an ever green plant on earth-
With love and deep roots,
Though sweet or bitter its fruits.
In times of stress and strain friendship proves is worth.
Thank you

The Richest Man
A true friendship is Golden,
It lasts for eternity, not for a fleeting moment,
It endures petty squabbles and unkind words,
it endures because it is Golden.
...A true friendship is climbing the largest mountain in the world,
It is wrapping up warm on a bitter, wintry day,
It is the warm glow of a traditional log fire,
A true friendship is Golden.
A true friendship is about trying to make things better,
providing strength in times of adversity,
and courage in times of weakness,
A true friendship is Golden.
A true friendship is turning dakness into light,
being a rock to rely on when life is cruel,
it is about being there when the going is tough,
A true friendship is Golden.
A true friendship is unwrapping a special present on Christmas day,
it is the tinsel that decorates so beautifully the tree,
it is the star that lights up the night sky,
A true friendship is priceless, something gold cant buy
