I Shall Forget You Too
Why would you emerge from
the darkness I built around me
with lambent steps taken grandiloquently
unafraid of the ardent revulsion
I shackled myself into?
When from the shadows you danced
and dragged me into the road
where everything can go -
where we can move, be moved
and leave like how everything
in our star-crossed lives always do
How could I miss this?
And now, in this serpentine road
where the fallen soul was resurrected
the wistful clouds enshrouds me again
to cover the wringing torment of loneliness
I do not need to cover my face
because I am out of shame and fear,
everything before me is stirring clear,
everything before you is coming clean
I can't quite fathom how
one forgets when the other does
but with all my clandestine pensiveness
I shall try to forget you too
not for the sake of revenge
but for the volition of peace for us
in the idea of justice

At The End Of The Road/There Is Deeper Loneliness
AT THE END OF THE ROAD/ THERE IS DEEPER LONELINESS
At the end of the road
There is deeper Loneliness
More terrible Pain
Humiliation
Failure Again.
At the end of the road
There is the disappointing
Of those one loves
And the frantic struggle
To survive and remain sane.
At the end of the road
It will be a long time, if ever
If there is ever to be
New hope again.
At the end of the road
There is deeper loneliness
And unending darkness
And fear and sorrow and self- hate
At the end of the road
Again.

Makeup
When you wake up in the morning
And you put the makeup upon your face
Do you try to cover up the age and lines
Or only the sins and deceptions and the disgrace.
Do you try to place on a happy smile
By putting bright lipstick upon your lips
Or do you try to cover up your own hard life
Something that someone like you never forgets.
And as you look into your mirror
Do you powder the many lines upon your face
The lines that has stretched from years ago
Unto the present days of your life and waste.
Do you try to cover up the bags under your eyes
From all the many restless and sleepless nights
The nights when you cared not where you went
As long as you went and held on to someone tight.
Do you place the powder upon your cheeks
To make you look so cheerful and so very nice
But as they say you cant judge a book by its cover
And if they knew you, they need only to think twice.
And as you are preparing yourself for the day
With your makeup in front of you and on the shelf
Does it take you a little longer to put it on each day
As you try to cover yourself up and become someone else.
The makeup you have will you pass it along one day
And then show someone else how to cover up their lines
Maybe your sisters or even maybe your daughters
That is though if they need to cover up their lying.
And do you ever step back away from your mirror
Do you ever try to look at yourself as a whole
Does it ever bring tears into your heart and eyes
Do you ever wish that you still had a soul.
So as your prepare to start your brand new morning
With your lipstick and powders and so much more
Do you ever wish that you could just wash your face clean
And never have to cover up your ways and lies from the nights before.

Are you that person whom when you walk,
to whom you talk and coming I am, independently?
Whereof the road where you are dark walking
and talking you passing by me in the park.
You by your thoughts then start changing.
And as for me, me for as when, you.
When you have occasion and strange is that,
what you feel a little slower you walk it is dark.
Worry naught of fear, fear of the darkness,
when as for you it is fear, fear of me, fear of the darkness.
Whether the night brings you fear of the darkness,
and fear of the darkness I am coming to soon, I am there waiting.
Someones fear, fear of it fixating upon you.
I whom always it is, must posses.
Someone shakes one finger deep under the wall.
Move the moon to one side, which do you wish it possesses?
You by my deepest, up to the neck darkest phobia.
Yonder over there and your neck it is tearing off the skin.
Lines inbetween which are felt when you cry out and the tears.
Just last night when you felt what you saw.
And the footsteps you heard, it is what it is, and you never thought. Something from the rear and you walking it was heard.
And it is done again and again to the smile on your face.
And your face is right there and for who to see but me.
Because early it you does, to see it for the second time.
It is secured, firmly wrapped around and you think that it is difficult.
Are you troubled with your heart beats the heart underneeth you?
Your fear of your fear, of the shadow it plays in the darkness.
And in your cave and it dances in it comes in from the rear.
Of the eye it is felt suddenly, penatratingly quick much to quick.
To be felt.
Your fear of me of the darkness and this fear of the darkness and fear of the darkness being that of it, will it come to you soon for you.
Someones, fear of fixing and as for me, whom it always it possesses.
Where someone walked out the road,
and to I, of that of whom you it posses and your always afraid.
Not of me, it's your darness you fear, open your eyes and it sees.

Justice Of The Peace
(ian hunter)
Its such a terrible shame it was only a game
Then her brothers found out seven johnny be goodes
We was only pretending at mummys and daddys
They totally misunderstood
Oh what a terrible plight what a terrible fight
It was too much to bear her father said ere
I think you better sign its a letter designed
To have you married by the first of the year
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice get the justice of the peace
Oh get the justice of the peace
Get the justice get the justice of the peace
If you want to play with fire
Youll get yourself burned
I was messing with the ashes
But look at how it turned out
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice get the justice of the peace
Oh what a terrible waste such a shocking disgrace
To give me away Im too young to die
A shotgun wedding heading straight for the sky
And Im shy mary ellen Im shy y y y
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
Come on!
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
When your chips go down
You came on the dice
Forget the mississippi
Take some friendly advice
Get the justice of the peace
Ill get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
(give it to me old chum)
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
If you want to play with fire
Youll get yourself burned
And I was messing with the ashes
And look at how it turned out
Ill get the justice get the justice of the peace
Ill get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
Ill get the justice get the justice of the peace
Ill get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
Ill get the justice get the justice of the peace

Stains
The three ghosts on the lonesome road
Spake each to one another,
"Whence came that stain about your mouth
No lifted hand may cover?"
"From eating of forbidden fruit,
Brother, my brother."
The three ghosts on the sunless road
Spake each to one another,
"Whence came that red burn on your foot
No dust nor ash may cover?"
"I stamped a neighbor's hearth-flame out,
Brother, my brother."
The three ghosts on the windless road
Spake each to one another,
"Whence came that blood upon your hand
No other hand may cover?"
"From breaking of a woman's heart,
Brother, my brother."
"Yet on the earth clean men we walked,
Glutton and Thief and Lover;
White flesh and fair it hid our stains
That no man might discover."
"Naked the soul goes up to God,
Brother, my brother."

Sylvie
Cover-Boy and Cover-Girl,
The playing ground is now set for you and i;
And like the roots of my culture to teach you all,
But who are you to go against my muse?
Sylvie is my name and,
I have seen too many sufferings around me;
And with tears and the sorrows of life,
But like a road in the darkness of the African forest.

Cover Me
Im not afraid
I can count on you
To catch me now
Ill just let go
One thing is true you wont let me down
With your arms around to
Cover me
With the sweetest touch Ive ever known
Cover me
You wont let me face love alone
I know that smile
Its like a shelter over me
Your arms will reach me wherever my heart leads
Ill blindly believe youll
Cover me
With the sweetest touch Ive ever known
Cover me
You wont let me face love alone
Cover me
I lay beneath the sky above
I close my eyes and let your love
Cover me
Cover me
With the sweetest touch Ive ever known
Cover me
You wont let me face love alone
Cover me
With the sweetest touch Ive ever known
Cover me
You wont let me face love alone
Cover me
Cover me
You wont let me face love alone

Move On
Some chickens crossed the road, straying far from the hen
Five reached the side one step below zen
One was a female, four were mad-men
Who moved on, moved on move on
Standing in line and falling asleep
Building a fence while were counting the sheep
Wed let you help out but our projects are too deep
Move on, move on, move on
You have to understand that when it comes
To making music
We meshed the styles of five alive and
Intertwined and fused it
Life comes from life and through our strife we
Strove to make the sound true
Compelled to spell it out, in search
Of what we must do
Our house was to small so we had to move
The neighbors had much doubts so we had to prove
That our soulful dimensions were true to the groove
We, moved on, moved on, moved on
Water the music, plant the seeds in the pot
Music is life flowing through... is it not?
Dont forget your roots, but also dont rot
Just move on, move on, move on dont be afraid, let your feelings show
Wear your heart on your sleeve, and let yourself glow

Ease On Down The Road #2
(charlie smalls)
Come on!
cause there may be times
When you think you lost your mind
And each steps youre takin
Leave you three, four steps behind
cause the road youre walking
Might be long sometimes
But just keep on steppin
And youll be just fine
Ease on down
Ease on down the road
Come on, ease on down
Ease on down the road
Dont you carry nothing
That might be a load
Come on, ease on down
Ease on down the road
Come on, ease on down, ease on down the road
Come on, ease on down, ease on down the road
Come on, ease on down, ease on down the road
Come on, ease on down, ease on down the road

When I look at the road
When I look at the road
Besides my house
I remember you
I miss you, but I am
unable to find you
I miss the scene when
You cross this road
with my heart lingering
where are you?
seeing the road, I miss you
more! I need you
please come to me soon
without you! the road
seems bare lifeless
I don't want to look there
If you are listening to me
Then come to me soon
As I miss you mine
when I look at the road.

One Road
One road to happiness
One road to loneliness
The devils hand or the promised land
Which one will you choose
Life is a strange thing
It can make you happy or sad
Theres two roads that you can take
The good one or the bad
One road to happiness
One road to loneliness
The devils hand or the promised land
Which one will you choose
You may take the long road
Lots of people do
But you will find no peace of mind
Till jesus comes to you
One road to happiness
One road to loneliness
The devils hand or the promised land
Which one will you choose
If you take the bad road ,you will never see
The happiness that you would find through all eternity
One road to happiness
One road to loneliness
The devils hand or the promised land
Which one will you choose
One road to happiness
One road to loneliness
The devils hand or the promised land
Which one will you choose

I Admire Those Brave
I admire those brave,
And unafraid of their own shadows.
I admire those,
Whose lives have been enhanced...
By the act of taking chances.
I respect those who anticipate,
Their tomorrows with expectations.
And not spending a moment drifting,
Into a yesterday for a purpose to waste.
I admire the ones who inspire.
And they always seem to be...
Those recovering from despair.
And doing that successfully.
I admire those brave,
And unafraid of their own shadows.
The ones able to cover their bruises well.
The ones willing to listen.
Without sob stories to tell.
I also admire an acquaintance I knew,
Who had been penniless.
And yet in dire circumstances...
Managed to offer a bright eyed smile.
I admire the ones who inspire.
And they always seem to be...
Those recovering from despair.
And doing that successfully.
I admire those brave.
They assist unknowingly,
In maintaining my faith.
And everyday my steps are paced,
To lay down even stronger than before.

Death Angels
I was sleeping in my heart,
And intoxicated was my being;
Then the self rose to the occasion,
For death alerted me to the angels around.
I committed circles, and dragged my soul
From their hands,
To weep spiritually
And collapse resurrected.
I wept loudly, forever in peace,
Like a bridge of distinction
Had been crossed
By my very heart and soul.
They have taken my soul.

You Cant Judge A Book
You cant judge a book by looking at the cover
No, you cant judge a man by looking at the cover
And you cant judge a book by looking at the cover
When I was young and went to school
My mama taught me the magic rule
And what she said I tried my best to follow
She said
You cant judge a book by looking at the cover
No, you cant judge a man by looking at the cover
And you cant judge a book by looking at the cover
Then I left school and moved around
And what I saw and what I found
Made me remember what she said to follow
She said
You cant judge a book by looking at the cover
No, you cant judge a man by looking at the cover
And you cant judge a book by looking at the cover
And now I think, by now Id know, that what appears is not always so
And I remember what she said to follow
She said
You cant judge a book by looking at the cover
No, you cant judge a man by looking at the cover
And you cant judge a book by looking at the cover

Where Do We Go From Here
Life can be strange, somethings we forget
Or rearrange in time, lose the past
Tell me the truth, tell me how can I know
That this new love of ours, that its gonna last
I need your strength and I feel your worth
With you I feel protected from all harm
Where do we go from here its clear
You erase the fear in me, that keeps me alone
Where do we go from here I know
No matter what the road, your love will lead me home
Whats in a name, his life just a game
We color then erase (weve been erased), when we lose face
How many lives, tell me how many tries
Before we get it right (before we get it right), the truth is inside
I need your strength and I feel your worth
With you I feel protected from all harm
Where do we go from here its clear
You erase the fear in me, that keeps me alone
Where do we go from here I know
No matter what the road, your love will lead me home
When I never weak, so weak
To scared to speak
When I never low, so low
To tell me, you will never need
Where do we go from here its clear
You erase the fear in me, that keeps me alone
Where do we go from here I know
No matter what the road, your love will lead me home
No matter what the road, your love will lead me home

No Clouds Do I See
I'm back on the road.
Detoured by my burdens and that load.
No tears do I shed.
I've cleared out my head.
And there's such a peace in me instead.
I once crawled on knees.
In pity that would not set me free.
Then one day I met,
Regrets I had kept.
And realized they dismissed my peace.
I stood on my feet.
And told them from me they had to leave.
All doubts disappeared.
The sky then did clear.
The Sun like a smile on me appeared.
I'm back on the road.
Detoured by my burdens and that load.
No tears do I shed.
I've cleared out my head.
And there's such a peace in me instead...
All over me!
No clouds do I see,
Over me.
No clouds do I see,
Over me.
No clouds do I see,
Over me!

Miss Me but let me go
When I finally come to the end of my road
T|he stars set for me
I want no gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
My soul was burdened.
And my life was my prison.
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
This was somethinG I had to do.
I needed to be free.
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take each must go alone.
I had to end my pain.
So my life I did now take.
A step on the road to home where at last life dont nother me.
Sing no sad songs for me.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go
|so when im gone miss me yes.
Cry for me no.
I am free now at last my soul is at peace.
So miss me but let me go
This was not written by me but it sums up a lot in my life

I Miss The Road
I miss the road to school
I miss the innocence
I left somewhere on the road to school
I want my innocence back
but the road to work
never crosses the road to school
I miss the sweet home
I miss the peace
I left somehwhere in my sweet home
I want my peace back
but the growth has changed
the place i used to know as my sweet home
This makes me sad
but i know that innocence and peace
were not because of the outer world
They are within us
only the road to the
inner home is to be found.

Road To Hell
Stood still on a highway I saw a woman by the side of the road
With a face that I knew like my own
reflected in my window.
Well
she walked up to my quarterlight and she bent down real slow
A fearful pressure paralysed me in my shadows.
She said: Son
what are you doing here?
My fear for you has turned me in my grave.
I said: Mama
I come to the valley of the rich
myself to sell.
She said: Son
this is the road to hell.
On your journey 'cross the wilderness from the desert to the well
You have strayed upon the motorway to hell.
We'll
I'm standing by a river but the water doesn't flow
It boils with every poison you can think of.
Then I'm underneath the streetlights
but the light of joy I know
Scared beyond belief way down in the shadows.
And the perverted fear of violence chokes a smile on every face
And common sense is ringing out the bells.
This ain't no technological breakdown
oh no
this is the road to hell.
And all the roads jam up with credit
and there's nothing you can do
It's all just bits of paper flying away from you.
Look out world
take a good look what comes down here
You must learn these lesson fast and learn it well.
This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway
Oh no
this is the road
this is the road
this is the road to hell
