3 Legged Races

The insulated melody
Of the dripping spigot
And the restless weather vane
Drops tranquility in fathoms
That can make an ocean
Vast of wondering
Instigating a stride
Into a walk, a haste, where
Another leg is welcomed
Whilst you endure the lack
Of company in the ethereal
Highway of romantic jargons
And the tales in your skin
Ran down like the insulated melodies
Of disquietude devoid of
Tranquility, it flashes down
Like virulent kerosene
Sifting through lacerations
And yearning saliently
To burn the virgin lamentations
Reckon infinitely and
Convince the maladies
To crawl back in the nightmares
That haunts on unconscious states
And vie to steadfast into
The eager eyes riveted
In the horizon where
You belong and these thoughts
Ousted, run in a steady pace
Unencumbered by another leg
And do not trip crumbling
To lose their paces
Into the vale, faceless

Ousted

In this madhouse world
Where the beacons are blind
And the canopies succumb
My eager sprouting vines
I tend to escape away
Engage in a subtle espionage
For the quintessence of life
Does not crawl in the skin
Of this moiré perfection that
Idealism vied to wrought
Under our noses and
Beneath our roof beams.

A tatterdemalion meanderer
Of agog sole and yearning,
A goaded and fragile arsenal
Of words and contours
Slurring in surreal slopes
To defy and to define
My voraciousness for hope
A touch on its sterile skin
Chaste, clean and deceptive—
A blinded scheme of beauty
I am a stain, a blotch of blood
Like a maladroit red pyrotechnic
Scintillating eloquently in
The undulations of the water

So I trampled in a rendezvous
With the stale grandiose of bitterness
Ensconced in the trance and
Inveigles of cheap panaceas
To desperately dab the wounds
Of the flagrant destitution
And to extol the fumes that
Will hide the desiccation
Of an unrequited contending
And no one will have to know
That you are ousted from
The sunset of your own funeral.

Everything shriveled,
Darkened and crunched
And putrefied without
A chance of exoneration
Because I cannot mourn with you
And dissect my lamentations
In your hands, for you have
Superfluous wrists of four
But only a single pulse
That cannot alter the beating
For a klutz waltz of death
If another wrist shall bleed
And the sun went down
Dripping with a red star
Ousted from the sky.

This is how it works;
This is how we'll subsist
When the Gods sequester
The bones and the morsels
From the aptitude of spirit
Ousted from their schemes
Their lives tight-roping seams
To live on without it and in
Solitary confinement.

I Empire State of Mind

In the surging rustles of the void vesper
Gallantly burning a svelte bridge to dawn away
From the briskly chortles of the blight
Coruscation of these stellar's blithe
Slumbering cellars toppled to unfurl
The virulent fangs caressing the tongue
And gnawing at the grin sliced upon;
Ballasting on an eternal trepidation— a hapless vie
In the protracted skyline gallops
A treachery more surreptitious than
The grip of the city walls in your eyes
And the lofty sears of rooftops reveals
Its buried pillars saliently looming
And swaying with the silent quakes
Of the flickering wisps of lights
Above the shrouded sky and reticent sighs
That casts a casket and extemporizes a requiem
For the lattices of the shadows where the chortles
Are sifted and filtered from the devoid exuberance
And in the abstracted transition of the montage
A golden eye steadfast unabashed
Feigning an I empire state of mind
The city melting down his throat,
Seeping out his lungs and plummeting
With the cinders and ash ousted
By the dark arch on his aching lips
And in his lack of sleep is the truant
Empire escalating and inflating as
The heaving breaths does.

25 Miles

Twenty-five miles from home, girl
My feet are hurtin mighty bad
Now Ive been walkin for three days
And two lonely nights
You know that Im mighty bad
But I got a girl waitin for me
Thats gonna make this trip worthwhile
You see, shes got the kind
Of lovin and kissin
Make a boy go stone wild
I got to keep on walkin
Oh I got to walk on
Let me tell you, yall
Im so tired
But I just cant lose my stride
I got fifteen miles to go now
And I can hear my baby callin my name
Its as if, as though
Im standin at her front door
And I can hear that doggone thing
Now Ill be so glad to see my baby
And hold her in my arms one more time
And when I kiss her lips
I turn backward flip
And I forget about these feet of mine
I got to keep on walkin
Oh I got to walk on
Let me tell you, yall
Im so tired
But I just cant lose my stride
Yeah I got to walk on
Let me tell you, yall
Hope my feet dont fail me now
I got five more miles to go
I got nine, eight, seven
Six, oh six
I got five more miles to go now
Over the hills just around the bend
Although my feet are tired
I cant lose my stride
I got to get my baby back again
I got to keep on walkin
I got to walk on
Let me tell yall
Im so tired now
But I just cant lose my stride
Oh, I got to walk on
Let me tell you now
Im so tired
But I just cant lose my stride
I got to walk on

Please Please Please

Please please please
No more melodies
They lack impact, they're petty
They've been made up already
Please please please
No more maladies
I'm so tired of crying
You'd think I was a siren
But me and everybody's on the sad same team
And you can hear our sad brain screaming
Give us something familiar*
Something similar
To what we know already
That will keep us steady
Steady
Steady going nowhere
Please please please
No apologies
At best they buy you time
Until you next step out of line
Please please please
No more remedies
My method is uncertain
It's a mess but it's working
And maybe if you tried it out
You won't like it when you're crying out
Give us something familiar
Something similar
To what we know already
That will keep us steady
Steady, steady
Steady going nowhere
Please please please
No more melodies
They lack impact, they're petty
They've been made up already
Please please please
No more maladies
I'm so tired of crying
You'd think I was a siren
But me and everybody's on the sad same team and

Insufficiency of Maps

Fifty million days of yalda
Thirty thousand strides to surmount
Two lost footsteps
An obfuscated horizon
And a vulpine mirage veiling
The photographs that never lied

I wallowed in the traceless sand
Of this oceanic wasteland
Six feet above an abysmal trench
Where all your promises sank
The air is putrid with the stench
Of macabre gushing from your mouth

The emaciated clouds plastered
The evening stars and their directions
Whilst the spigot of life poured
Draining what's left to drought
And these veins closed like breaths
Heaved for a final stride

I searched for smiles
Like messages in the sand
Like croons carried by the Levanter
Sifting and drifting with consciousness
Like ornate dreams too banal
In the verisimilitude of reality
Yet too good a taste
To remain the same

The insufficiency of maps you've left
Riveted me under the scorches
Of the sun's arrogant maw
And I will wait her futilely
To be found once more
As the time passes by in truancy.

Allergies

Maladies
Melodies
Allergies to dust and grain
Maladies
Remedies
Still these allergies remain
My hand cant touch a guitar string
My fingers just burn and ache
My head intercedes with my bodily needs
And my body wont give it a break
My heart can stand a disaster
My heart can take a disgrace
But my heart is allergic
To the women I love
And its changing the shape of my face
Allergies
Allergies
Somethings living on my skin
Doctor please
Doctor please
Open up its me again
I go to a famous physician
I sleep in the local hotel
From what I can see of the people like me
We get better
But we never get well
So I ask myself this question
Its a question I often repeat
Where do allergies go
When its after a show
And they want to get something to eat?
Allergies
Allergies
Somethings living on my skin
Doctor please
Doctor please
Open up its me again

Allergies to dust and grain

Still these allergies remain

Kerosene

everywhere I look I see
exclusive huddled
uninviting shelter
is privilege
of the same and competent
kerosene keeps me warm
I'm alone to watch it burn
kerosene
exposure is a pitiful
and pointless way of dying
before it gets me
I'll set a funeral pyre
kerosene keeps me warm
I'm alone to watch it burn
kerosene
i'm a man and
my dignity won't wave
Tonight buildings rage!
kerosene keeps me warm
it feels so good
to watch it burn kerosene
kerosene keeps me warm
feels so good
to watch it burn kerosene

Dark Nights

Dying Romantic says:
I walk these streets all alone,
the sound of your voice still ringing on my phone.
You just couldn't leave our past behind,
why must I be the one that's always kind?
Your face haunts my nightmares,
and you always leave me something on the stairs.
I burn it with glee,
and yet you send more to pester me.
This heart can't take any more abuse,
so let me cut you loose.
This is goodbye...

(Can't You) Trip Like I Do

I've got the understanding of a 4-year-old
I've got the piece of mind of a killer soul
I've got the rationale of a new york cop
I've got the patience of a chopping block yeah
trip like I do
trip like I do (oh my god this is the best)
I've got the acumen of a season broke
I've got the lack of say of a billion souls
I've got the world on my back but I don't seem to care
I've got the comprehension of a world unaware yeah
trip like i do
trip like I do (oh my god this is the best)
trip like i do (mm..i want you to trip like i do)
can't you, can't you trip like i do
can't you, can't you trip like I do
laid down my back i can't sleep cause I'm falling
eyes in my teeth i can't see cause i'm eating
head full of noise I can't think cause it's crushing
back on my feet like a freight train I'm coming
can everybody feel like I do
can everybody feel like I do (oh my god)
can't you can't you trip like I do
can't you can't you trip like I do (oh my god)
can't you trip can't you think can't you feel like I do
can't you walk can't you breathe can't you trip like I do...

Bygone and Begotten

You sauntered back
into this forlorn
with tersely steps
inveigling the phantoms
that wandered the walls
of these stygian isle
And everything leads back
into the narrow sky
where your stoned fist
pierced for amends
and the silver thread
where you staggered once
profusely bled

While the inebriated moon
danced in a field of graves
its umbra zithered
the wary ocean to salute
the midnight toast you raised
beleaguering the asylum
of yesterday's
bygone and begotten,
Caught in the vortex
where you daggers
interpolated and connived

And with all these peril
chiding the shapeless air
a silent figure stood
in the threshold of the moon
and suddenly
there were no reasons -
like a sullen
mortality,
to be afraid

Sloshing through the farce
and the limbo of flustered days
my tongue pivots through
to the gelid taste of the past
whetting the hungry flame
like a saint inside a den
of savageness and ferocity -
A candle steadfast its flame
in the insulated conundrum
and with every escalation
its sublime perspiration
perished and thawed
to clog the sky
where the spigot of regret
flourishes to die

Saddest Photographs III: Polaroid Booths

I can picture you
Dragging and clacking your stilettos
Amidst the brazen noise of revelries
Like a mellifluous zephyr in a savanna
You'll replace the frenzied floorboards
With the tranquility of a weather vane.
I can picture you
While you are away, but inside me,
By the bus' window or amongst clouds,
Dallying amidst markets or forests,
And still stitching a poem in your hair
Like a radio song without a radio
And I can picture you
With the slopes of your back turned on me
Careening over a sluggish computer
Whilst reading an anonymous poem
About the beauty of your hair and shoulders
Even when the pristine face is hidden
I can picture you
In the lacquer leaf of a magazine
Or the coffee-stained napkin
For you are the inflecting hue of everything.

And This Rain

You were so simple, on your old balcony,
adorned by white roses, yet down looking,
west's flame encircled in lyrics' euphony,
sea Nymphs' surround was a benign setting.

Your words will glow in my distant trip's links
maybe your reason to escape was false,
and an affection was left in the winds
among your crossed ethereal hands and pulse.

Our time was still, with eyes to gleam, conceived,
and was our company, phase to reckon,
maybe atonement was, a cause bereaved,
and our glances in mists remote beckon.

Caress of sun steppe flower on my face,
will alter a dull course to steady 'ffuse,
our bilged steadfast is in brines to encase,
a summer song of longing to bemuse.

My effort to repent, in winds ascribes
besets our trips on sea to faded strings,
a touch of solitude, and ghostly brides,
caress of Sunday want to face all winds.
............

Perchance you're bending soft on my scriptures,
maybe you left on trip in empty train,
while I recall in dark your kind features,
- we missed our dreamy summer and this rain.

Unrivaled Transcience

Tell me about the power of Babylonian Gods
The symmetry and geometry of their scintillations
The silver blood dripping on their immortal wrists
Do we dream of the pain evoking the pleasure of life?

In this dog eat dog, the crunch is that: we are bones
Sworn to become dusts when we are outdated by
The easy shifting of the moon's wanton penumbra
But you will remember me, I will never die before eyes

A pantheon of virile and avid serpents uprooted
The ephemeral pegs of their virulent fangs
And the bleeding came like a guest of honor
We knew it would come, so we closed our eyes

Tell me about the lore of the tress, the lure of the sands
Croon the words in my impassable nights and never tire
Like an aubade, like a lullaby, reel me deluded into life
Make stay, or astray, in the fringes of your shadows

Tell me of the ineffable boiling of the sternum
As it plunges into the void and ethereal fathoms
And let me tell my vicarious deceleration of sense
And the decadence that perched on my firmament

I will not open my eyes, I will hold my adamant gates
And we will hide in the improbable notches of day
Rolling like hushed thunders, coming with flashes of light
And disappearing swiftly as our pawned breaths

Tell me and I will close my eyes, even if I go blind
Even if we would have to die for this lie, just tell me
And haplessly hammer it into my shattered soul
Until I believe that we can contend with incandescence.

Dripping Water

Dripping water, dripping water,
everywhere!
from the horizon of heaven,
on the land, on the sand,
makes me happy, and so elated,

Dripping water, dripping water,
everywhere!
from the dark black clouds,
on the leaves, on the tress,
gives them a slow quick bath,

Dripping water, dripping water,
everywhere!
from the thunderstruck light,
on the eyes, on the cheeks,
makes everyone to turn the face up!

Dripping water, dripping water,
everywhere!
from the beauty of sky,
onthe mud, on the rivers,
makes musical splashes when gets strike,

Dripping water, dripping water,
everywhere!
from the love of vast scream,
to the beautiful murmors of land,
makes me sing, and dance.

Coltrane

Wakin' up at nine
Looks at his paper
Can't deal with what he sees
All the troubled lives
The talk of the ages
He's crawling back to bed
Don't take a walk outside
Don't make any new friends
He's crawling back to bed
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know what I'm doing
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know who I'm screwing
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know what I'm doing
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know who I'm screwing
Callin' all his friends
He's known 'em for ages
Can't deal with what they say
Connective alibis
Cold and contagious
He's crawling back to bed
So cut off the phone lines
Stock up on water
He's crawling back to bed
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know what I'm doing
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know who I'm screwing
You'd better convince me man
'Cause I, I don't know what I'm doing

Restless

I dont belong to no one
I dont belong at all
Got my face in the corner
Got my back to the wall
And pretty baby Im restless, restless
Restless through and through
Im restless, restless
You look restless too
Im a hair trigger lover
And I cant face up to nothing
Im impatient with the wind
But Im waitin here for somethin
And pretty baby Im restless, restless
Restless through and through
Im restless, restless
You look restless too
Restless sleep, twisted dreams
Moving targets, silent screams
Restless city, restless street
Restless you , restless me
Im a face at the window
Im a black satin sheet
And I cant stay warm
I stay out in the street
And pretty baby Im restless, restless
