Who understands their needs?

They cannot speak and write too.
But their expressions a very simple request
And it's not exceeds in your fraud meter.
Boss!
Please try to consider
Their humble expectations.

Loan Shark's Secretary

She writes on a piece of paper; My Boss is a multi-millionaire
Though he's never been to a school.
Boss questioned her 'What do you write honey'
'I am writing about you sir' Secretary replied.
'Then read it louder' Boss said.
'My Boss knows the secret of success than a learned person.'
When she gets her pay slip the following month she found it has been increased more than a double.

Neater meter for Mr Earley

Neater meter?

I have to write a sonnet in free verse.
I must stick to Iambic pentameter.
A meter that I do not often use.
Pentameter is my more usual style.
A Sapphic meter would be so much worse.
I am more comfortable with the latter.
I find that some odd metres can confuse
a simple rhymester like me for a while.
I’m quite convinced that pentameter
makes my presentations appear neater.
It may be that you think I am obtuse
and that my simple verses make you smile.
You are entitled to your point of view.
Naturally I won’t agree with you!

Boss Of Me

Yes, no, maybe
I don't know
Can you repeat the question?
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
Life is unfair, so I just stare at the stain on the wall where
The TV'd been, but ever since we've moved in it's been empty
Why I, why I'm in this room
There is no point explaining
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
Life is a test, but I confess
I like this mess I've made so far
Grade on a curve and you'll observe
I'm right below the horizon
Yes, no, maybe, I don't know
Can you repeat the question?
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now
You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big
Life is unfair

Must

She writes as if there’s not much time.
She writes to pain, to happiness,
She writes to every remote detailed thought.
She writes to the departed,
to the extant,
to poverty,
to wealth.
She writes to mourn, and grief.
She writes to the wind, the rain,
forest, the desert, and mountains.
She writes to her pouring tears,
to her grateful moments,
She writes because really what she has is time.
She has no little ones to feed, or bathe,
nor a husband to make happy. To write is
to escape- to her. Time is not a problem, time
is just a killing system, she needs to kill in many words.
She writes as if there’s not much time.

A Message Here For All You Poets

The love poet writes of lovely things like true love and flowers in bloom
And the roses in the poet's garden scent of a sweet perfume
And the gentle hearted applaud him saying what a marvellous poet
He surely is a child of God and one worthy of note.

The love poet writes of love of God and the God fearing say
He's a fine poet one of the best love and respect to God he pay
He hear no evil speak no evil only write of God and love
And there's a place reserved for him in God's Kingdom up above.

The social issues poet writes of the poor and few his verses read
They say he writes such morbid stuff sob stories we do not need
He keeps highlighting the downtrodden and those in poverty
He ought to put more trust in God and in Humanity.

A message here for all you poets don't write of the downtrod
But write of affairs of your heart and write of your love of God
And some will say how great you are and your praises they will sing
And they will pay respect to you and call you their Poetic Queen or King.

I am a pen

A fountain pen made in an unknown country.
But nowadays they leave us alone
And prefer the ballpoint pens?
My Boss with thick glasses
An old fashioned gentleman
Who writes a love letter it seems
After a long time?
He filled my belly with ink
Oh! I felt very cold.
He's seated on his ebony chair
with tears in his eyes
Looking towards the faraway burial grounds,
Then he writes;
'I see your tomb like an unexpected invitation!
Please let me know the party time
I search a humble present for you
And I want it to wrap
with a smile! '

Disbelief Is High On Your Meter

Even though you're numb,
By that which has been done...
More is coming.
More is coming!

You're in it thick or thin,
But keep your faith within...
'Cause more is coming.
More is coming!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
But don't you give up hope.
Keep your hope afloat!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
But don't you give up hope.
Keep that hope afloat!

Even though you're numb,
By that which has been done...
More is coming.
More is coming!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
But don't you give up hope.
Keep your hope afloat!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
But don't you give up hope.
More is coming.
More is coming!

You're in it thick or thin,
But keep your faith within...
'Cause more is coming.
More is coming!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
More is coming.
More is coming!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
More is coming.
More is coming!

Even though you're numb,
By that which has been done...
More is coming.
More is coming!

A disbelief is high on your meter.
You're in it thick or thin,

But keep your faith within.

There Was Nothing Left To Write

THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT TO WRITE

There was nothing left to write
Everything had already been written
And was being written over again and again
By thousands elsewhere-

There was nothing left to write
And nothing new to say -

And no need for anything he had to give-

It was over for him as a writer
Whether he accepted it or not-

No one would ever need or want anything he could do again-

And so when he despite all this still wrote

It seemed to many simply pathetic-

The obsessive reflex of an already lost soul-
Who wrote and wrote and wrote
Who writes and writes and writes

Who cannot stop
However senseless all he does, is.

Swim Submerged

FLYING flocks travel in flight,
another faulkner puts down his
shovel, and writes, writes, and
writes,
spare me the out cry,
spare me the empty familiar,
spare me muddled spirits,
and write the words with your
own red blood,
FLYING flocks travel in flight,
sextan turns up, with her freind
plath, and they both begine to
write, write, and write, yippee,
says the words, for these words
will end up in a paper back book.

Ballad Of ‘Memo’ Roy

For JoAnn
Who in conversation inspired this little ditty.

This is the Ballad of ‘Memo’ Roy
the fastest memos in the world.
Roy writes a memo every minute
just to remind himself what to do.
He even writes one to tell himself
he must visit the loo.

It all started many years ago
when the doctor told Roy
he was suffering from
short-term memory loss.
Now he writes memos
to remind himself to write a memo
for everything he must do.

He writes one late at night
to remind him
to get up in the morning
and one in the morning
to remind him to go to bed at night.
It is estimated he writes
quite a few hundred memos everyday.

His house is filed with little bits
of yellow paper stuck up here and there.
He couldn’t watch TV
even if he wanted to.
There are s many memos on it
you can’t see the screen.

One day his pen ran out
and no memos he could write.
He couldn’t even write a memo
to remind himself to buy a pen.
Then he found a pencil
and shouted that will do.

Now he is able to write memos to himself
to tell himself what to do.
As far as I know,
he hasn’t written a memo
to remind himself to sharpen
the pencil once and a while.

Different Languages

On the factory floor
Two ethnic women speak
In their native tongue
A language that flows beautifully
Their tongues roll
And the impact of a d or a t can be felt
Amongst all their chatter
The women laugh
That’s when others start to look
The sound of the language
May not be to everyone’s delight
No one cares what they say
Then all of a sudden......
LAUGHTER
And everyone starts to look with fright
What are they laughing at?
Is it me is it her is it him
Looking around
What did I do wrong?
Did I forget something?
Is it my zipper?
The women continue to chat
And laugh
The laughter now becoming too much
For the annoyed man
Of only one language
He goes to the boss
And files a complaint
Please boss tell those women over there
That it is not right to speak in their tongue
The boss agrees
And we are all back to uncultured boredom
As the sound of the
Lovely t and d end
So reigns the simple sounds of
A language that doesn’t flow
And the machines
That continue to sew

In Germany, they first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Catholic. Then they came for me -- and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.

A Poem Explodes In This Poets Mind

flying flocks travel in flight,
another faulkner puts down
his shovel, and writes, writes
and writes.
spare me the out cry,
spare me the empty familiar,
spare me the muddled spirits,
and write your own words
with your own blood.
flying flocks travel in flight,
sextan turns up with her friend
plath, and they both write, write,
and write with their own blood.
spare me the out cry,
spare me the empty familiar,
spare me these muddled spirits,
and write with your own blood.
Flying flocks travel in flight, and
a poem explodes in this poets mind,
and i write, and write, and write,
and on this white paper, my blood.

Lovely Rita

Lovely rita meter maid.
Lovely rita meter maid.
Lovely rita meter maid.
Nothing can come between us,
When it gets dark i tow your heart away.
Standing by a parking meter,
When i caught a glimpse of rita,
Filling in a ticket in her little white book.
In a cap she looked much older,
And the bag across her shoulder
Made her look a little like a military man.
Lovely rita meter maid,
May i inquire discreetly,
When are you free,
To take some tea with me.
Took her out and tried to win her,
Had a laugh and over dinner,
Told her i would really like to see her again,
Got the bill and rita paid it,
Took her home i nearly made it,
Sitting on the sofa with a sister or two.
Oh, lovely rita meter maid,
Where would i be without you,
Give us a wink and make me think of you.

A Babies Simple Smile

A babies simple smile
So Innocent and pure
A babies simple smile
All my Sadness it can cure

A babies simple smile
Incapable of fraud
A babies simple smile
This leaves me feeling awed

A babies simple smile
This fills my world with light
A babies simple smile
Oh how I love the sight

A babies simple smile
It’s a blessing I am sure
A babies simple smile
May it never be obscured

Clown Strike

Shell fix you with an iron cross
And cover you up with petals
And hang you up with some amber beads
And four or five precious metals
And in that black flamingo chair
Youll sit among her trophies
And pray to be abandoned
Till you dont know what hope is
Chorus:
But theres one thing that I had to keep inside
Because I was shaking
Why dont you get some pride
There was a clown strike
And the clowns threw down their tools
But you dont have to play so hard
And Im nobodys fool
You dont have to go so far
cause I love you as you are
The big top is deserted now
And the circus girl rehearses
She knows how to turn their heads
And not fall between two horses
But all that seems a simple step
If only I were able
To love you like I want to do
And not by some times table
Chorus
And its pandemonium
For the humble and the mighty
You dont have to tumble for me
Even a clown knows when to strike
Tell me what you want of me
Or are you terrified of failure?
You put on a superstitious face
Behind all this paraphernalia
Were not living in a masquerade
Where you only have three wishes
It isnt easy to see
In a lifetime of mistaken kisses
Chorus
In this pandemonium
For the humble and the mighty
You dont have to tumble for me
Even a clown knows when to strike
