Paddy sounds Great!
I have your precious two books;
'The ancient poet and Poems that bloom in my garden.'
The Keepsake and my travelling companion!
I reread your boisterous handwriting,
' To nimal, my brother, my friend
Thank you for being you are.'
And the mischievous signature below
Like your innocent smile!
*P.S.
It's a great forward for the book by Patti Masterman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.A

The Quiescence here like his deep poems!
'Here you come to New South Wales'
The board by the roadside glitters!
And I got down from the bus
A limousine for the first time in my life?
O it's an unusual quietness in this burial grounds
Situated in a small town perhaps his birth place?
At last after roaming around
I found his humble tomb!
I touched and it's cold
Like frozen death,
Suddenly I woke up!
But I was not certain
Whether it's morning
Or still it's night and where I have been
With my teary eyes?

A parcel from Overseas beyond the Great Barrier Reef!
As a habbit, firstly
I check the sender's name & address
Oh! It's from New South Wales
Australia, My dreamy burial grounds
To rest in peace with Aborigines!
Guess who sent the precious gift?
Brother Poet & Humanitarian
Paddy the Martin!
Two pocket size books
His poetry Anthologies.
'Poems that bloom in my garden
And The ancient Poet.'
I have not started yet the reading
But that smells a rare fragrance of a flower
In the garden of Eden!
Where the Humanity began!
Thank you is not enough
For the soft soul's honest smile
And I add this; 'Let us be friends
And smile together until we reach
The Horizon, Zenith or Infinity
Whatever it is promise to shake hand warmly!

Oklahoma Swing (feat. Reba McEntire)
Ther's a redhead from my hometown that loves to let her hair down
She tears my heart out when she starts to sing
She's from the right side of Red River and she's pretty as a picture
Don't you know she's this ole cowboy's dream
There's a boy from Okie City and I sure think he's pretty
But I know he's trying to steal my heart away
Oh my mama tried to warn me he's done time in California
But he'll be an Okie til his dyin' day
There's a dance we do in Oklahoma
A dnace like you've never seen
Sit back and we're gonna show ya
How to do that Oklahoma swing
Well when two Okies get together man there's nothin' they like better
Than to hold each other on a dawdust floor
Oh I love it when we're swayin' to those sweet twi fiddles playin'
Come on boy what are we waitin' for
There's a dance we do in Oklahoma
A dnace like you've never seen
Sit back and we're gonna show ya
How to do that Oklahoma swing
Yeah there's a dance we do in Oklahoma
A dnace like you've never seen
Sit back and we're gonna show ya
Yeah how to do that Oklahoma swing
How to do that Oklahoma swing

Oklahoma
That constant sound
beating in the hearts
of every human being
every bird trilling
every woodpecker quietly drilling
.the Om
in Oklahoma
*
The hearts of Oklahoma from
the poet Joy Harjo and the brilliant
attorney mystery writer William Bernhardt
to every soul driven to Oklahoma from
the Trail of Tears
is now melting the icebergs of hate
created by Senators Inhofe and Coburn,
two senators
who sponsored the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act
... which criminalizes peaceful protest
They represent the dragging foot of Oklahoma,
those unconscious souls who made the state
the last to ban cockfighting in the US
Why is Oklahoma a tornado state?
Because wherever animal slaughter is concentrated,
ecological disasters follow.

Oklahoma Borderline
Well its rainin down in houston
And I got holes in both my shoes
Babys put me on the street
She says Im through with you
She thinks Im gonna miss her
Someone tell her that shes wrong
Im goin back to oklahoma, boys
cause thats where I belong
Chorus:
I need one good ride
Ill be satisfied
Come on oklahoma borderline
If we roll all night
Shell be comin into sight
Come on oklahoma borderline
Well now I dont need no texas girl
Doggin me around
I may be a okie, son
But Ive still been to town
Well those oklahoma city girls
They always treat you right
Well tell mama that Im comin home (not sure of this line...)
And Im leavin out tonight
Chorus
So with two bucks in my pocket
And my thumb stuck in the wind
When I cross red river, boys
I wont be back again
Give me old back roads and truck stops
And 18 wheels that whine
And some good ol boy to take me
To that oklahoma line
Chorus
I caught one good ride
Shes comin into sight
Hello oklahoma borderline

San Antonio Rose
(bob wills)
Oh you and all your splendor
It knows only me heart
Call back my rose
Rose of san antone
Oh lips so sweet and tender
Just like petals fallin apart
Speak once again of my love
My ol broken songs
Empty words I know
Still live in my heart all alone
For that moonlit path
Oh beside the alamo
And rose my rose of san antone
Oh my rose my rose of san antone
Take a bow boys!
You know a lot of people ask me all the time,
Who were my musical influences.
Well I guess its just kinda natural,
Since I was raised in oklahoma,
That one of my musical influences was bob wills music.
When I was in college we used to
Sneak down to the oklahoma and texas border and go to dances.
And it didnt get any better than dancing to bob wills music.
But you know there was another guy from oklahoma.
I had every album he ever put out.
My older brother
Pake and my little sister susie and me, we sang every song he did
Cause merle haggard was a great influence on all of us.

I think it's awful that the state of Oklahoma a couple of years ago passed this law to give the same tuition to illegals as they do to people who are residents of Oklahoma. I think it's wrong.

Oklahoma
Oklahoma is where I live,
Kaleidoscopic in its land.
Living here can be grand.
Always wanting to forgive,
How much prejudice that I see,
Oklahoma will become a memory.
My time has come to depart,
And I leave here, with a fart!

Oklahoma Clouds
The clouds in Oklahoma send
So many messages to me
You don’t need to watch for weather
On the weather channel on TV
You see their puffy whiteness
And you know right at a glance
For now there is no rain in sight
Not even a slight chance
They gather all together and make
A picture in the sky
At times they are so beautiful that
They make me want to cry
And then, my friend, we get
A sky of a sooty black
A storm of new dimensions
Is about to make an attack
Oklahoma clouds are so amazing
And in sunrises and sunsets
They add to delicious colors
The prettiest sky you’ll ever get!

Oklahoma Backroom Dancer
By michael nesmith
Shes always appearing with a band of renown
You want to go and see her when youre feeling down
Shes a breathtaking spectacle, with guaranteed hope
Shell make you feel good, cause shes the best thing since soap
Shell greet you in the alley with a .45 smile [or fortified smile]
Shes the original sideshow and shes got her own style.
Pardon my baby, she got to have her fun
Yes, I say, pardon my baby, she got to have her fun
cause shes a oklahoma backroom dancer, watch her run.
Now, she dances on air just like supermans child
Like a [? ? ? ] shes wild but shes mild
Shes more fun than colorado, and more far-out than maine
She comes on like thunder and shes more right than rain
Shes the mother of earth, and the goddess of [? ? ? ]
Shes the chicken and the egg and whichever came first.
Pardon my baby, she got to have her chance
Oh, I say pardon my baby, she got to have her chance.
cause shes a oklahoma backroom dancer, watch her dance.
Yeah, I say pardon my baby, she got to have her fun
Yeah, I say pardon my baby, she got to have her fun
Yes, shes a oklahoma backroom dancer, watch her run.
Woooo! my, my!

Country Cuisine
Have you ever come across an eating place
That serves outstanding cuisine?
Well, at Fay, Oklahoma we found
An eating place that could serve a Queen
The flavors are absolutely delicious
Just simple ordinary country food
You could even take picky eaters there
You walk in and you are in the mood
To try each and every dish that you see
On the tables and on the menu
Because these folks’ know how to cook
The most wonderful food for you
So if you pass by Fay, Oklahoma, my friend
Want a meal with the best dessert you’ve seen
Stop by and have a taste
Of the most exceptional country cuisine!

Oklahoma U. S. A.
All life we work but work is bore,
If lifes for livin whats livin for,
She lives in a house thats near decay,
Built for the industrial revolution,
But in her dreams she is far away,
In oklahoma u.s.a.
With shirley jones and gordon mcrea,
As she buys her paper at the corner shop,
Shes walkin on the surrey with the fringe on top,
Cos in her dreams she is far away,
In oklahoma u.s.a.,
She walks to work but shes still in a daze,
Shes rita hayworth or doris day,
And errol flynns gonna take her away,
To oklahoma u.s.a.,
All life we work but work is a bore,
If lifes for livin then whats livin for.

Max Reif, I would like to hear again after a long lull.
Just give a shout from your hiding place dear friend
and do you remember this comment you made for my poem
'St.Patrick's day' a long time ago,
We met once and I would like to hear that song again
'Stars in your eyes'
Please Bring your tiny mouth organ
and the precious guitar.
In this cycle of births and deaths
We meet in different names brother!
Max Reif (4/3/2007 3: 10: 00 PM)
How did they get your phone #, Nimal? Is this a saga I should have been following? How did you ever get to America? Are there poems of yours I should read, that will tell me? Did David bring you? Have you been posting on The Forum (which I seldom read, these days) about your travels?
I'll try to catch up. Please let me know which poems or whatever will help me.
Hopefully, these are just idiotic, empty threats. And hopefully, you are seeing a different world-as I did when I went to India.
Much love, many blessings, prayers for your safety and well-being (and continuing 'poet's education' in Love and Beauty and the Oneness of all beings!) And passing on what you receive!

Never Been To Spain
Well I've never been to Spain
But I kind of like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it
They don't abuse it
Never gonna lose it
I can't refuse it
Well I've never been to England
But I kind of like the Beatles
Well I headed for Las Vegas
Only made it out to Needles
Can you feel it
Must be real
It feels so good
It feels so good
Well I never been to Heaven
But I've been to Oklahoma
Well they tell me I was born there
But I really don't remember
In Oklahoma not Arizona
What does it matter
What does it matter
[Repeat 2 then 1 then 3]

Route 66
If you ever plan to motor west
Take my way that's the highway that's the best,
Get your kicks on route 66.
Well, it winds from chicago to l.a.
More than 2000 miles of motorway,
Get your kicks on route 66.
Well, it winds from st. louis down to missouri
Oklahoma city looks mighty pretty.
You'll see amarillo, gallup, new mexico,
Flagstaff arizona, don't forget pamona,
South park garden and san bernardino.
Would you get hip to this kinda tip
Baby take that california trip,
Get your kicks on route 66, oh!
Well, it winds from st. louis down to missouri
Oklahoma city looks mighty pretty.
You'll see amarillo and gallup new mexico,
Flagstaff arizona, don't forget pamona,
South park garden and san bernardino.
Would you get hip to this kinda tip
Yeah baby take that california trip
Get your kicks on route 66
Get your kicks on route 66,
Get your kicks on route 66, yeah,
Get your kicks on route 66,
You wanna get your kicks on route 66, yeah, yeah.

I was gagging on poetry
was gagging on poetry
And nothing could help:
I was gagging on poetry
So they let me lay my head
On Emily's desk
And her inkwell spilled.
I was gagging on poetry
And they covered me up
With Whitman's army blanket
On which I promptly threw up.
I was gagging on poetry
And the Poet Laureate
Sent me a get well bouquet
Of forget me knots.
I was gagging on poetry
And all my poems
Kept getting rejected
For Selective Service.
I was gagging on poetry
And they performed
The Heimlich maneuver
And up came
Twelve autobiographical
Sketches of poets
Thirteen anthologies
Three missing manuscripts
Two thesaurus books
One rhyming dictionary
And my good luck eraser.
