Gecko
Today, I found early in the morning
A small gecko was struggling to come out from the porcelain bath tub.
I remember that I had a phobia of geckos in my childhood
As my mother always say when I skip my meals and play with ants.
'You never become a big man if you won't take meals properly'
And she points out a gecko on the wall, 'Beware! It will bite you'.
I made a mistake by pulling out its tail.
Oh! It was broken and gecko was no more.
I am so sorry my dear.
I cannot do anything,
This sorrowful incident would torment my entire life.

Gecko Meets Me
I told a gecko telepathically
“I wish I could once touch thee,
I looked at my hand and instantly
gecko was there,
really soft and light as air.
Gecko was very smooth and cool,
like water in a swimming pool.
Then gecko jumps off my hand
just like that as fast as he can,
Hopefully gecko is safe at home,
over by the flowers and gnomes.

Going Out To The Garden
Going out to the garden
this morning
to plant seeds
for my winter greens
-the strong, fiery mustard
& the milder
broadleaf turnip-
I saw a gecko
who
like the rest of us
has been
reeling
from the heat.
Geckos like heat
I know this
but the heat
these last few days
has been excessive
for us
& for them.
A spray of water
from the hose
touched its skin:
I thought it would
run away.
There are crevices
aplenty
to hide in:
the garden wall
is made of stones.
But no
not only
did the gecko
not run away
it appeared
to raise
its eyes
& head
looking for more.
I gave it.
Squirt after
squirt
of cooling
spray
from the green
garden hose.
Is it the end
of the world?
It seemed to ask.
This bliss,
is it Paradise?
I bathed it
until we were both
washed clean
of the troubles
of this world
at least for this moment:
this moment of pleasure
of gecko
joy
as I with so much happiness
played Goddess
to Gecko.

Talk To A Frog
Jim got jealous and said,
'Suzy talks to the guy in red.'
John retorted with a fast reply,
'Jim, Suzy would talk a frog,
that's no lie.'
Well, Jim I guess John was right,
I talk to geckos who jump with delight—
right on the top of my hand,
one of course did so land.
Once in a while when I feeling blue—
I think of you-and
there you'll be—
a gecko in front of me.
Thanks for visiting me in a gecko form
taking the time to truly transform.

The Gecko
The Gecko lying on his stone
Is always very much alone,
Nor is the reason hard to trace
By those who've seen its form and face
It's hard to realise a mite
Can be so venomous a sight,
Or in its little frame compress
Such concentrated ugliness.
Now wonder other creatures fly
Each time a Gecko ambles by.
No wonder that its chosen mate
Recoils from the connubial state.
Yet underneath its skin, we're told,
There beats a heart of purest gold.
Its children do not know neglect;
It treats its mother with respect.
It never, ever beats its wife,
And lives a most unblemished life.
Its aspect is its sole defence
Against the world's malevolence.
So when you see a Gecko stay
Uncharitable thoughts and say:-
'The gruesome are not always gross-
even a reptile bears its cross!'

Gecko Wants To Be Human
A gecko who wanted to be naughty,
wanted to incarnate in a humans body.
Why be bored and eat bugs all day?
You can have fun with lots of rolls in the hay.
Yes, humans have a chance to speak,
speak real funny when their doing the thing.
Me gecko, have to be still, not move my tail,
Humans get to have fun, by screaming, even do yells.
Now I know about the cosmic wheel,
I will jump as a human next time and have a thrill.

The Ripe Sound Of The Gecko....
sorrow is not fond
with words,
it sticks like a gecko
on the
old wall of the house
and when everyone
retires for
sleep
it starts to create
that sound
where you soon shall
start
counting

Gecko Named Curly Tail
Looking down on the ground
Curly Tail the gecko waits
without a sound.
I say "Hello honey-how are you?
Where are your kids this afternoon?
Then when I leave the door
Curly Tail's offspring
is scampering once more.
Curly Tail waits for me
on the black mat—
It's like he knows where I am at.
He knows when I leave to go far,
he knows when I get out of my car.
Thanks Curly Tail for waiting for me-
see you later by the tree.

Thank The Geckos
Thank the geckos for bringing smiles
thank the geckos for all the while.
All the while they are here on Earth
geckos are special from thet time of their birth.
Thank the geckos, for they feel too
thank the geckos who help you.
Geckos help you when you are feeling blue
I know they were there for me this summer
that much is true.
So thank the geckos one more time
thank the geckos who are divine.

It’s war in my yard
It’s war in my yard
and the ginger Persian cat
lies stretched out
gazing at the trenches
where some gecko’s has disappeared
as if the golden eyes of it
can draw them out of cracks.
A little later the two dogs sniff under a bush
and chase something out of it
that draws a grey stripe
over the grass
past my window
and both cats
fly up with arching backs
and paws out deadly
to capture it.

Phobia
Everybody got something hidden
In a darkness deep inside
Everybody gotta fatal flaw
Everybody got something to hide
Take a look into my eyes
See the fear and silent cries - phobia
Deep inside, take another look at it - phobia
Everybody got a phobia
Take another look, what you got - phobia
There are alleyways of your psyche
That have gotta be analyzed
Psychological penetration
Of the fear you cannot hide
Theres a key to a door to be opened
And I wanna take a look inside
And in the darkest shadow of your mind
What you gonna find?
Phobia
Out under a technicolor ray
It all disappears on a bright, sunny day
But even on a crowded street
Somebody you might meet
Might trigger a repeat of phobia
Strikes again, fear of fire and being buried alive
Dizzy heights, wire coat hangers
Things that crawl and go bump in the night - phobia
Fear of germs
Creepy crawlies that make you squirm - phobia
Images of long ago, memories that you hardly know
A minor childhood incident
Triggering something deep below
Spiders webs and black cats
Cockroaches and sewer rats
Full moons and witches hats
Creepy crawlies, vampire bats - phobia
Im talking about phobia
Crowded rooms, too many faces
Suffocation, open spaces
Everybody gotta weird sensation
That they wanna keep trapped inside
Maybe its a sexual deviation
Hiding beneath a respectable guise
If you are of this persuasion
There is just one explanation - phobia
Started out a long time ago - phobia
When you were small you may have seen a sight
But you were too young to know - phobia
What you got - phobia
Everybody got phobia, what you got - phobia
Everybody got phobia, take another look, what you got?
Everybody got phobia, what you got?
Phobia

Colombo
Waves topple like skittles down the beach
A gecko is the room’s unpaying guest
Sinbad sailed these seas by such a moon
The old colonial bed stands on stiff legs
A gecko is the room’s unpaying guest
The hotel writing paper’s wafer thin
The old colonial bed stands on stiff legs
Banjo the one-eyed dog howls for a bone
The hotel writing paper’s wafer thin
Catamarans hunt tuna round the bay
Banjo the one-eyed dog howls for a bone
Tropical lightning cleaves the night in two
Catamarans hunt tuna round the bay
Waves topple like skittles down the beach
Tropical lightning cleaves the night in two
Sinbad sailed these seas by such a moon

Be The Stars
Be the eagle with your eyes
Be the baby with your cries.
Be the dog with your nose
be the sand as the wind blows.
Be the gecko who sits still
be the fragrant daffodil.
Be the sun that's shining bright
be the moonshine in the night.
Be all this and then stars
then be a human or Martian from Mars.

Gecko Talks to Me
“I wish I was in a human body”,
the gecko said as he walked across the screen.
He spoke to me after the ghost turned back on my t.v.
I said o.k. I won’t mess with the t.v.
Then an hour later,
the fan went on and off 1 x 3.
I just let it do its thing,
why fight with a ghost I can’t see?
Then when in the bathroom,
I heard a noise coming from the other room,
I looked to see if everything was o.k.
until the light went out
without a clue.
Now 2 weeks later,
the fan starts by itself again,
I realize it’s my ghost friend.

An unpleasant incident
Two days ago we found
a cat has delivered her two
new born kittens on the cement floor
in our building.
The day was very cold
and a friend of mine
made a card-board box
for them to secure.
Today I saw the worst and unpleasant thing
in my life.
My own eyes couldn't believe
This ferocious mother cat was breast feeding one
and the other was half eaten,
only two legs and the small tail remained
Oh! what a catastrophe is this?
I thought a blind is fortunate than me.
Luckily my poor mother who was gone earlier
without seeing such a heartbreak.
The buddha must have seen a similar incident.
That's why he was frustrated
and left everything for a perfect bliss?

Raindrops
Your my raindrops,
You bought me happiness when I needed the most,
You were there when I needed you the most,
You appear in my dreams,
You have my heart from the gecko,
You were my everything,
You were the guy I counted on the most,
I can't breathe without you,
I know you are always around me when I need you,
I be okay,
Its hard to fall out of this love I have for you,
You are contagious,
You are my cocaine, My heroine, you give me the very high I need,
I just want you back so bad that I don't want live without you,
You are my very drug I need,
You are my raindrop,
You can see right through me,
I love you with everything I got,
Suffocate me whenever you want,
I know my heart breaking as I drown in these tears of sorrow,
You left out of my life like a hurricane,
Now that you are gone I am lost but I am moving forward as my heart breaks.

My Empty Room
Empty room today
And here I sit
Chalk outline upon the wall
I remember tracing it
A thousand times, the night she died.
Why? [why? ]
Theres no sleep today, I cant pretend
When all my dreams are crimes
I cant stand facing them
Now who will come
To wash away my sins
Clean my room, fix my meals
Be my friend?

And be careful of this, that each day at your meals you have two overseers over your household when you sit at meals, and of this be sure, that you shall be very much feared and reverenced.
