A Song of Solitude
A Park full of trees very quiet
and a bench isolated
waiting for someone to
come and have a chat please.
A single Star in the sky hurriedly
searching the wailing Moon.
A drizzle comes with a nocturne of a Dragonfly.

Dragonfly
Id rather live than just imagine
Dont think there is a way around
And if I fail Ill still be standing
With my feet firmly on the ground.
Through my window from the sky
Flows a lullaby
Someomes waiting in my dream
Taking me to places Ive never seen.
If I had some wings then I could fly (dragonfly)
In my dreams
I am the the dragonfly (dragonfly)
I guess I always will be searching
I live and learn from my mistakes
And all the love that Im expecting
Is equal to the love I make.
Little dreamer when evening falls. shadows fall
Bring some honey for my soul
Take me to the places Ive never been.
If I had some wings then I could fly (dragonfly)
In my dreams I am the dragonfly (dragonfly).

A country lass weaves a cane basket in her lifestyle
After I finished my handicraft
We'll go together full of apples in the basket.
The far away isolated park where a bench is alone since last year.
A year has passed but you are still stuck in the town.
You have forgotten my address and at least a single line to say hello!
I know that you are busy in the ruined Manor among the maid servants.
Coming Christmas I am already twenty two and I am scared as my aunt
She is sixty two and still a spinster.

The Old Man
The old man sat on a park bench
just watching the people pass by.
He did it day after day
alone in everyone's eyes.
He would smile occasionally
but no one ever knew why.
Everyone who saw him
wondered why he sat so still
and just looked out
at everyone who passed him there.
The old man sat in repose
from dawn until dusk fell.
He sat there in the summer sun
and as winter's bleakness fell.
He looked for some face
he might remember from his past
so they could reminisce for a while.
Sadly, the years slipped away.
Everyone spoke about him,
but no one ventured to talk.
Then one day the old man
wasn't on the park bench
and he was nowhere to be seen.
Now a different question was asked.
Day after day, the bench was empty.
Where had the old man gone?
Had he simply passed away?
The questions remained unanswered
because no one ever stopped
to enquire of his name.
I would like to think
that in the dying hours
on the park bench one day
that he had found
what he was waiting for
and then happily he faded away.

Old Friends
==============================
Simon & Garfunkel - Old Friends
==============================
(2:35)
P. Simon, 1968
Old friends
Old friends
Sat on their park bench
Like bookends
A newspaper blown through the grass
Falls on the round toes
Of the high shoes
Of the old friends
Old friends
Winter companions
The old men
Lost in their overcoats
Waiting for the sunset
The sounds of the city
Sifting through the trees
Settle like dust
On the shoulders
Of the old friends
Can you imagine us years from today
Sharing a park bench quietly?
How terribly strange to be seventy
Old friends
Memory brushes the same years
Silently sharing the same fear...

A Man and a Statuette
A man reads an old paper sitting on a bench in an isolated park.
A wearisome whisper of a female!
'Brother any interesting news in the paper today and do they still in a search of me? '
'Where are you? ' Man asked.
'I am just in front of you and your friend woman' Statuette replied.
'I am sorry I cannot see you as I am a born blind'.
'Then how do you read the news paper? 'She verified.
(This neglected park of huge trees touch the sky and you never see a flower. The secret whisper and the lament of a rebellion that haunt in constantly. Only the Fruit bats fly here and there in the awful night.)

Nostalgia
Surrounding mountains are like virgins.
Sun is far away.
The birds are flying to their nests
when the Sun goes down.
All the ships cast off to their own destinations
and the Harbour is quiet as a widow.
A seagull rests on an isolated crane
and waiting for a fishing boat to come.
Evening star peeps
Moon is far away
I finished my work and returned to my billet
thinking of my loved ones.
Where are they now?
They too very far away.

Little Lamb Dragonfly
I have no answer for you little lamb
I can help you out / but I cannot help you in
Sometimes you think that life is hard
And this is only one of them
My heart is breaking for you little lamb
I can help you out / but we may never meet again
La la la la la la la la ... etc.
Dragonfly fly by my window
You and I still have a way to go
Dont know why you hang around my door
I dont live here any more
Since you ve gone I never know
I go on, but I miss you so
Dragonfly dont keep me waiting
Im waiting cant you see me Im waiting
When we try well have a way to go
Dragonfly youve been away too long
How did two rights make a wrong
Since youve gone I never know I go on
But I miss you so in my heart
I feel the pain
Keeps coming back again
Dragonfly fly by my window
Im flying cant you see me Im flying
You and I can find a way to see
Dragonfly the years ahead will show
How little we really know
Since youve gone its never right they go on
The lonely nights, come on home
And make it right
My heart is aching for you little lamb
I can help you out / but I cannot help you in
La la la la la la la la ... etc.

Memories On A Park Bench
He sat on a park bench
just to pass the time away
when he saw her there
from the corner of his eye.
She was older now,
but her beauty had not faded.
She turned in his direction
and he smiled at her.
At first, she looked at him strangely
until there was recognition.
She smiled back
and then joined him.
They sat there on the park bench
the sun smiling down on them
as the daffodils swayed in the breeze.
For both of them came a flood
of memories of when they were young
before the world spirited them away.
Both had walked down many roads,
had some hard knocks along the way.
Both recalled them now
the way old friends meeting do.
As they sat there
recalling memories from happier days.
All too soon they would be parting
and as they would go,
they would take with them
a little of each other
in the form of memories
that they acquired on a park bench.

Back Chat Back Chat
You burn all my energy
Back Chat Back Chat
Critising all you see
Back Chat Back Chat
Analysing what I say
And you always get your way
Oh yeah see what you've done to me
Back Chat Back Chat
You're driving me insane
It's a battle to the end, knock you down you
come again
Talk back, talk back you've got me on the rack
Twisting every word I say
Wind me up and get your way
Fat chance I have of making a romance
If I'm ever to get the last word in
Take it from there
Twisting every word I say
Wind me up and get your way
Back Chat Back Chat
You burn all my energy
Back Chat Back Chat
Critising all you see
Back Chat Back Chat
Analysing what I say
And you always get your way
Wake up stand up and drag yourself on out
Get down get ready
Scream and shout
Back off be cool
And learn to change your ways

Waiting For The Storm
snow birds screeching in the trees,
bare limbs bent with time and promise..
desolate, hungry clouds from the south,
and the quiet before the storm.
and those i love are sleeping, or far away.
there's nothing that can be done just now.
all the fires and smoke are as distant
as hours and days will allow.
stillness, and waiting... for something
that hasnt taken form or spirit yet.
walking through the museum of my heart,
searching for answers, and finality.
i cant find God in the garden,
or in the pounding of the big guns.
or in the broken bodies strewn by greed,
or in the voices wailing with hurt and hunger.
every direction leads to lostness.
prayers fall like ash in the wind.
and i'm left with the sound of the
snow birds calling, waiting for the storm.

A Night In Late Autumn
The sky is dark the countryside is quiet
But the spur winged plovers cry out in the night
Above their territory they call and fly
Perhaps the hunting fox is prowling by.
The possums hiss on gum tree in the park
And in a yard nearby a terrier bark
At wailing tom cats fighting on the street
For the right to mate with a female in heat.
The night is calm there's scarce a puff of breeze
And boobook owl hunting for small birds in the cypress trees
Repeat the same call over and again
And frogs are croaking in the pond and drain.
The countryside may seem quiet after dark
But in the sky above the nearby park
The spur winged plovers cry out in the night
Perhaps a fox has driven them to flight

Backwards Traveller
Hey, did you know that im
Always going back in time
Rhyming slang, auld lang syne my dears
Through the years
I am the backwards traveller
Ancient wool unraveller
Sailng songs, wailing on the moon
And we were sailing songs, wailing on the moon
Wailing on the moon.

Dragonfly
I will never let you down
I will always be around
In the time we are here
Well see love disappear
Dont ask how
Dont ask why
Just fly, dragonfly
Just fly, dragonfly
I will never bring you down
I will always stick around
I will heat you when youre cold
In the time we have left
Well raise eyes to the sky
Dont ask how
Dont ask why
Just fly, dragonfly
Just fly, dragonfly
Dont ask how
Dont ask why
Just fly, dragonfly
Just fly, fly, fly dragonfly

Like the moon Like me
Like the moon and the star
staying there in silence
A star falls is a single tear
the moon turns into shadows
Hidding from my fear
red moon brights the sky
The rage in me is releases
the moon goes away
when the sunlight comes out
pushing my worries away.
when the star gets closer to the moon
I make new friends.
When the stars fade away from the moon
I lose my friends.
when the clouds block my light
I feel useless and betrayed.
I hide from everything.
As the moon stays in the sky
I stay alive.
When the moon are in peices
My life has ended
Like the Moon
Like me
We are the same
in this suffering world

A Sad Heart of a Lover
Beneath a huge mountain like an ant,
He watches the birds where they fly in the twilight sky towards their nests.
A single star gossips with the Moon.
And he hears their secret croon.
Who comes to chat with him?
Only the darkness peeps to his untidy room.
He dreams the day of betrayal that she left the village like yesterday.
Why the morning star visits so early?
No, it's as usual.
The midday is very warm like an oven.
And the teary eyes always there never leaves him alone.

Waiting For Our Time
Looking up from where I stand
I see the vapor trail
Of a jet plane in the sky
Here the wheel is in my hand
But theres no wind in my sails
And life is drifting by
Still I hold on and wait
I know its not too late
And my breeze will come
Muse you satisfy my soul
Keep me warm while the
Cold world guards the gate
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Your love has kept my dream alive
A vision of my life
With you here by my side
Every forward step I take
Every moment Im awake
I feel your love inside
So close I feel it in my bones
I know Im not alone as I climb this wall
But I, sometimes I get so high
I just want to live, love
And taste it all
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Here tonight
I lie awake and watch you dream
Under the light of the moon
I wonder just how far weve been
And where well be
When the sun comes up
Will this be our date with destiny
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
And Im waiting

A Day In Park
swings, slides and sand
the park so peaceful early in the day
the sun rising, shadows casting across the grass
the breeze flow so soft, quiet and free
the ball diamond so peaceful and empty
soon the sounds of children laughing and parents chatting
the park comes to life with all to enjoy
dogs playing catch, kids flying kites
grills cooking and picnics galore
the fields so full from footballs to baseballs
playing catch, to playing tag
reading on a bench, laying on a blanket for a tan
the park so pictureous and a masterpiece
It's art and spirit so priceless
we never have enough parks for all to see
to be free and play
Parks nature's playground for us to play

Black Nocturne
Black nocturne
The vacuum that confiscates
The entirety of the city
That was incinerated
By the flames of incarcerated
Musings
Black nocturne,
You are an omen.
A shattered glass,
A howling moon,
A glass house on fire,
A submerged knight
On a grotesque chariot.
Black nocturne,
You are the fire
In the shriveled waters.
You are the air
That shrills the eviscerated
Noon time breath.
You are the water
That taints the fire cerulean
You are the blundering monsoon
That splinters me.
