A Penny for a Tick

If the dreams come true how beautiful the ugliest life!

The slippery Zig Zag road ends at the village Manor
And we got down, myself & wife from our tumbledown car!
It's a small drizzle and a Twilight
The Sun offs for the day it seems.
The Baron and the Baroness happy with us
For their advertisement in the Pennysaver
And he says; ' You are the ideal couple we expected
And really satisfied by seeing you! '
Wife makes different names of spicy meals
And cleans the household things.
The two Doberman familiar with me
And I pluck their ticks a penny for each.
Cut their high grass in the lawn
And night I read my poems.
The kind Baron offers me a Cuban cigar and a nightcap
And now I don't steal pennies from my beloved's piggy till.
In the night she wears her old nightgowns
And she looks like the Baroness!
I do marketing; Rides the Harley Davidson
That belongs to the Baron's one & only son
Who lives in a different state.
At the backyard there're scattered old tombs
And I guess their ancestors.
Secretly I tell my beloved; 'Darling this is the final roost of our Gypsy journey
And one day they bury us here, We must send the address to our loved ones
Perhaps their offspring win the Green Card Lottery and visit our graves some day! '

To my dearest poet friend Paddy Martin who undergoes a surgery and my blessings for his immediate recovery.

Venom

I have heard but don't know whether it's true or not
They make an Alcohol out of Venom am I right?
Oh! That's fantastic and you can die at once
Better than dying every other moment.
I promised to my beloved Wife;
'Hereafter, Darling I won't steal pennies for my Cuban cigar
From your till until it gets full,
Then we can buy that stuff in downtown
And finish this rat race before the winning post!

Cooing in a nest

My beloved wife bought me a sunblock cream; 'Dad! You have some wrinkles on your face.'
'Yes Mom! We are close upon our sixties, yet to be chosen for the yearly Marathon.'
She collects pennies in an old jam bottle and hides somewhere as she knows that I steal for my daily Cuban vanilla cigar.
I dreamed one night the till full of gold coins.

Alison here Autumn's going to start and tell others

Thanks for your kind words
Also Jerry's warmest regards,
My wife too sends her hugs to you all,
Here Autumn is going to start soon and they call fall,
Yellow foliage in jaundiced color.
My wife grumbles that her piggy till's level goes down
As I steal pennies like a magician for my Cuban cigar.
When I was drunk I stammered, 'Darling if we have a Son,
We could have form a musical group named 'The three stooges meet Herculeas.'
I always see your precious garden through your poem paintings,
Does the bard Paddy Martin resides near by?
He too a very nice character found in poetfreak,
So life goes as usual Sun rises and Sets according to the Master's instructions,
Homeless they sleep on the roads here and dream heaven on and off it seems?
Wish that tricky life smile at all with yours,
I buy lotteries and if luck pinches by a mistake
Definitely We jump over the Great Barrier reef
And see you all without an invitation!
Take care and good luck!
Let's smile together until the hardest breath crawls,
with best regards,
fondly,

Red Baron / Blue Max

The son of a major, Prussian nobleman
His name bestowed by a holy Roman
The war broke out, and looked to the air
24 hours of training he was there
100 miles an hour, top speed his plane would fly
and if he flew behind you, you know you're sure to die
Eighty kills, that are confirmed
While other pilots have so much more to learn
Red Baron! Blue Max! The albatross flies high
Red Baron! Blue Max! He's got you in his sights
The Red-Battle Flyer
Roll right fire
He sees no faces
The ace of aces
His British quarry flew a reckless flight
A shot from the ground took the red baron's life
He flew with honor, he flew with pride
In 1918, The battle flyer died
Chorus
The red baron...Blue max!
The albatross flies high
The red baron...Blue max!
He's got you in his sight!

Plaster of Paris

My beloved bought a plaster of Paris mold
A couple of tortoises saying 'Welcome',
From a Dollar shop
And we hanged that at the entrance of our Halcyon cottage.
At midnight my wife was fast asleep with a smile and I am sure that she dreams the Heaven,
But I am still awake with the nightcap.
I heard the tortoise's whisper
And the dialect is very familiar to me from my early births it seems.
'The old couple is very quiet like us and their offspring must have living abroad.
They too very slow and steady,
But the Man seems to be an alcoholic.
I sniffed while he was hanging us on the wall.
We must pray day & night for their welfare otherwise they could have bring a watchdog by throwing us to the nearby pond.

Please Stir That Celery Flavoured Carrot Soup To Fight With The Life!

I just want to remind you that I was born under a travel star!
Time has come and orders were given from above it seems?
Then I have to go.
Beloved makes carrot soup every other day
And our bony horse is suffering from flu!
I gave him some of my expired antibiotics
And a sip secretly from my nightcap.
I polish the old brass lamp which I brought from a salvage ship.
And I sweep my gypsy caravan that full of rubbish papers.
I read my darling's complicated palm; 'This may be our last journey and your nutty vagabond is really tired.
Please do not worry and we won't give a burden to our daughters,
I'll prepare a letter right now to the Medical faculty in Massachusetts and let them know that we're ready to hand over our bodies one day for research to the responsible parties? '
By the end of November we reach there and our grandson would be very happy!
Beloved prepares the price tags of the goods for the moving sale, O my precious desktop you leave me very soon and how I scribble hereafter?
Daughter in Australia provides the Air tickets
And daughter in Massachusetts gives us the lodging!
We haven't seen her for five years
And worried about the eldest too.
'Life is a journey'; I explained to my beloved and she cried.
I watched her red eyes; 'We finish the journey together' that murmurs?

Green horn

These days I dream of America and they offered me the green card.
I visited to my far relatives who were living there.
Some are in California and the rest in Massachusetts.
They showed me the hospitality but in doubts.
I feel that they might think I'll be a burden for them.
Never mind I said good bye
And searched for my scattered unseen friends.
I am totally tired and frustrated.
I heard the statue of Liberty is whispering something.
'Why don't you visit our ancestors? '
I left for Red indian Reservoirs
And they guided me to Geronimo's tomb and some Apaches.
We talked each other many things like old familiar friends
And when I woke up I found a red feather on my pillow.
Sing Song my beloved wife brought me the bed tea.

Hey There Beloved

Hey there beloved why are you walking away from me?
Hey there beloved don't you know all those gifts are from me?
Hey there beloved I carried you through your storms
Hey there beloved come back to me
Hey there beloved don't you know I'm waiting with open arms
Hey there beloved I wish you were not blind but could turn back and see
Hey there beloved don't you notice my art?
Hey there beloved my love for you is in every night sky
Hey there beloved look for my love in the sunset
Hey there beloved, the sun is for you
Hey there beloved the coolness of clouds is for your enjoyment
Hey there beloved I love you
Hey there beloved You can walk away

Hey there beloved it makes me cry when you chase other lovers, but
Hey there beloved I'll let you go because I want you to choose me
Hey there beloved I want you to learn to love me
Hey there beloved don't go to them
Hey there beloved they cannot fill you up
Hey there beloved, I'll never give up on you

Hey there beloved I'm full of tears
Hey there beloved I made you for so much more
Hey there beloved you don't have to dress like that
Hey there beloved they don't really love you
Hey there beloved you're more than just a body
Hey there beloved you don't have to try to be something you're not
Hey there beloved I still love you

Hey there beloved you don't have to earn my love
Hey there beloved those things won't satisfy you
Hey there beloved heed my voice that path will destroy you
Hey there beloved you're broken, but
Hey there beloved my heart breaks for you
Hey there beloved can't you see the brokenness?
Hey there beloved why do you ignore me
Hey there beloved.... I love you with all that I am
Hey there beloved, that's everything there is

Hey there beloved I love you with my entire being
Hey there beloved that's grander than the universe itself
Hey there beloved you've strayed so far away
Hey there beloved I'll always call you back
Hey there beloved I'll always be waiting
Hey there beloved I still love y-

A Song for my Wife

my wife, my beloved wife...
my best friend forever
though it is not our anniversary,
yet there is nothing to celebrate,
I love you so much
I love you every day
until we die together
do you know until now,
we had the best family,
i had two beautiful daughters
my dear wife,
every time i wake up in the morning,
i always see your beautiful eyes
i love the warmth of you body
when ever you sleep in my arms
i feel your love so tender,
o my wife, my beloved wife
thought our marriage is not perfect
all I wish is to grow old with you.

Half-curved moon

Half-curved moon
Half-curved moon was brightening in the sky.
It was night.
Cool air was blowing.
The stars were twinkling in the sky.
Half-hearted soldier was on the border.
Moreover, was keeping tight vigil on the enemy.
His beloved wife was in the village suffering the same half-heartedness.
The world was sleeping.
However, moon, soldier and his beloved wife were awakening in the night.
The chain of duties was bounding them.
The Moon bound by the order of the nature.
Soldier is a patriotic man.
Beloved wife of the soldier was the wife of a great soldier.

Unseen Companions of the journey!

Hi everyone

I received this from Fay Slimm today concerning the death of our good friend Mary Martin. Please do go to the site and light a candle for dear Chrissy.

Thank you,

Patrick

I was shocked!
Mary Martin, your sad demise!
O it's really unbearable?
Paddy sent me two books before he leaves
And then you sent me his two photographs
Before you leave, how do I get things of Paddy now?
I realized life's a journey and not a race!
Tomorrow I am passing the 60th mile post
On my way to your new domicile!
We're in one family of this ridiculous segregated World!
May you rest in peace beside my friend Paddy and your best friend too,
Along this unending journey!

* I asked my beloved to light an additional candle tomorrow on my sad birthday cake and that's for you Mary!

I Will Not Cry

I will not cry for satisfaction if I could get my choice,
Among the divine beautiful virgins of heaven, I want only you.

After killing me, do not bury me in your street,
Why should people know your home address with my reference.

Be chivalrous for you are the wine bearer (beloved) , or else I
use to drink as much wine as I get every night.

I have no business with you but O! dear friend,
Convey my regards to the postman if you see him,(to remind him that he has to deliver my message to my beloved) .

I will show you what Majnoo (Hero of the famous Arabic love tale, Layla Majnoo) did,
If I could spare some time of my inner grief.

I am not bound to follow the directions given by Khizar (A prophet who is believed to be still alive and guide the people, who have lost their way, to the right path) ,
I accept that he remained my companion during my journey.

O! The inhabitants of the street of my beloved see
if you could find the insane poet Ghalib there some where.

In the spirit of Rumi - 6

My Beloved said

O my dearest one
what may I give to you,
ask of me what you may

I said to My Beloved,

O my dearest one,
give me whatever
may bring You closer to me
bring me closer to You

My Beloved said

Tell me O my dearest one
that I may give you that
which brings Me closer to you

I said to My Beloved

Send me pain and suffering
for when I cry out to You
then I am closest to you
O my dearest one

My Beloved said

I shall send you what you ask,
O my dearest one

It is called the world

and we two shall be one in it
and know it as our dream of love

The handsome death roams around bards' billets these days!

My beloved questioned me;
'I noticed that you won't drink
and it's a dilemma in your words.'
'Not exactly I quit drinks honey
The celebrated Malayalam poet
A.Ayyappan passed away last week
and the Bengali prominent poet
Sunil.Ganguly too.
I checked my piggy till and the pennies won't come up
In the checking account few colourd notes smile
that won't reach at least a tall Johnny Walker?
and you know my darling I am a poor scribbler
Casket is very expensive than the nagging life here? '

The sad Castle of our little World

Our new roost a tiny room
And no table and chairs.
I sit on the bed and scribble this
While my beloved tastes a chicken broth from a teaspoon,
And she stuck in the Kingdom of her Kitchenette.
'Darling where is that miniature cheap bottle of Whiskey? .
The previous night I kept somewhere.'
She measured and gave me a small sip from the same teaspoon.
Then I grumbled; 'Oh! It's not enough my painkiller as the World still rotates.'
She kept quiet angrily.
Through the broken window panes I see the faraway floodlights in a Stadium
And I whispered to my beloved; 'I would like to play football again like younger days.'
She smiled like Mona Lisa.

* To our dearest daughter Tharindu.Inoka
We received your graduation photograph and the copies of relevant certificates today.
We are so proud of your achievement, May the winds be always at your back.

Ron

He has lost the inspiration of his life
And he must grow old without Annie his wife
They had been married for twenty two years
And memories of her still has him near to tears.

She was forty six when she passed on two years ago
And she did not live to see their grandchildren grow
Into young adults it was her wish to see
Her first great grandchild baptized but it wasn't meant to be.

Without his beloved Annie who had the 'heart of gold'
Ron in his early fifties must grow old
She was his soul mate and to him remained true
And together love and happiness they knew

Theirs was a true love that lasted till the end
She was his heroine and his dearest friend
And one as good as her he could not wish for to meet again
And the memories with him always will remain

Of the beautiful woman with brown eyes and nut brown hair
To laugh to her came easy she was always free of care
Their wedding photograph hangs on his bedroom wall
And she will remain as his greatest love of all.

Life will never again be the same for Ron
But without his beloved Annie he must carry on
She was the inspiration of his life
His lover and his soul mate and his wife

Tom Zart's Soldier For The Lord & Love!

TOM ZART'S SOLDIER FOR THE LORD & LOVE!

I'm a soldier for the Lord
Who's been up and who's been down
Though while on the battlefield
I have never turned around.

I face more than flesh and blood
With the devil's evil hoard.
But they shall not steal my soul
For I swing my Lord's swift sword.

I wear all of God's armor
With helmet, breastplate and shield.
As Satan's arrows fly by
From his archers of the field.

The devil casts his dark net
Over any he may charm.
He'll lead them from salvation
With his hands upon their arm.

I battle evil daily
And I pray that you'll join me.
We're not alone in this world
For we're loved and watched by Thee.

BY GOD'S POET = tom!

MY WIFE IS BEAUTIFUL, GENEROUS & KIND

My wife is so beautiful, generous and kind
I thank God for her presence day and night!
It's Heaven's gift to us how we truly harmonize
Without reason to criticize, blame or fight.

We never lie or keep secrets from each other's soul
As we both believe God is watching and observes all.
We do what we do to maintain what we love
Never forgetting our awareness of God's call.

Life has its blessings, heartbreak and consequences
By our foolish misdeeds we learn right from wrong.
Once we're blessed by the power of God's will
We worship Him by prayer, actions, servitude and song.

The Twin with the Purple Heart

One of the girls had unblemished skin,
One had a purple mark,
But for the stain on her shoulder there
You couldn't tell them apart.
While Jane was born at quarter to three
Joan was at ten to four,
Jane was destined for wealth and fame,
While Joan would be always poor!

As Joan had cried, the mother died,
The bombers were over the town,
The hospital where the daughters lay
Was hit, came tumbling down.
An aunt took Jane, and headed north,
A nurse took Joan due west,
So one was raised in a simple home,
The other had only the best.

The Marchioness of Huntingdon,
The title was left to Jane,
Along with a hundred thousand pounds,
A manor with moat, and game,
She'd heard that she had a twin out there
But lost in the war at the start,
She'd looked in vain, but the daughter Jane
Was the twin with the purple heart.

Her aunt had said, it marked her out,
The first born, and the heir,
To claim the entire inheritance,
Her sister had no share,
So Jane had put Joan out of her mind,
Grew arrogant, and vain,
If Joan turned up on her doorstep she
Would say that she had no claim!

She fell in love with a nobleman,
Impoverished though he was,
And he had envied the fortune that
His forebears long had lost,
He'd been betrothed to a simple girl
But said to return the ring,
A Baron wed to a Marchioness
Was a more exciting thing!

They wed in the Spring in a stately home,
His spurned ex-love had cried,
She kept the newspaper cuttings of
The bridegroom and the bride,
She swore she'd get her revenge one day,
That this was not the end,
And then the Baron had called on her,
Asked her to be his friend!

It seemed that Jane had worn him down,
Had cut him to the quick,
By keeping the Baron penniless,
She ruled, she held the stick!
He said that he wished that he'd stuck with her,
Had kept her for his own,
'The likeness is quite remarkable! '
He said to the grieving Joan.

They schemed, and then they hatched a plot,
She bought some purple dye,
Tried it out on her shoulder, drew
A heart, and he told her why:
'For you could pass for the Baroness,
I can't tell you apart,
To me it's plain, you could take her name
As the twin with the purple heart! '

So Joan turned up on the doorstep then,
And Jane was taken aback!
'If I didn't know much better, I
Would swear you're the twin I lack.'
They talked and compared the lives they'd led,
And Jane became afraid,
'Of course, there is no inheritance,
But we need a downstairs maid! '

So Joan moved in, and lived downstairs,
The kitchen became her home,
The Baron, he ignored her, played
The game that he'd planned with Joan.
While Jane was autocratic,
Treated Joan as the family shame,
With nothing of sister love to spare
While the plotters played their game.

While Joan was inking her shoulder, Jane
Came marching into her room,
'You want to look like your sister, well,
That's sweet, ' and laughed in the gloom.
'Let's see how much we can fool him,
Wear my clothes and wait outside,
He's taking me on an outing,
Over there, by the riverside!

Joan dressed herself as Jane and went,
She thought it a joke supreme,
She'd be able to spend some time with him
While Jane thought it a scream,
The purple heart by her halter top
Reflected the summer sun,
While the Baron drove, not saying a word
As his world became undone.

He left her there in the water, drove
Back home, and he strode right in,
'My God, but you should have seen her! '
He began, as she walked to him.
He wet his finger and rubbed the heart,
Then paled, as she started to laugh,
'You can rub and rub 'til eternity,
I'm the twin with the purple heart! '

A parcel from Overseas beyond the Great Barrier Reef!

As a habbit, firstly
I check the sender's name & address
Oh! It's from New South Wales
Australia, My dreamy burial grounds
To rest in peace with Aborigines!
Guess who sent the precious gift?
Brother Poet & Humanitarian
Paddy the Martin!
Two pocket size books
His poetry Anthologies.
'Poems that bloom in my garden
And The ancient Poet.'
I have not started yet the reading
But that smells a rare fragrance of a flower
In the garden of Eden!
Where the Humanity began!
Thank you is not enough
For the soft soul's honest smile
And I add this; 'Let us be friends
And smile together until we reach
The Horizon, Zenith or Infinity
Whatever it is promise to shake hand warmly!
