Merry-Go-Round
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Up in the sky.
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Soars me high!
Breeze rustles,
cloud's castles,
Roam round and round!
I shriek in false fear,
Seeing the thing near,
which I never have found.
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Brings the fun to me,
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Fills mind with glee!
Moving round, round,
Touching the ground,
Almost kisses the sky.
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Takes me up in the high!

Fugue For The Fox
Call happy calling children are falling
In line to ride on the merry-go-round
People are passing children are laughing
They want to ride on the merry-go-round
Doesn't matter when you came
Every ride is just the same
Do not worry how it's done
There is room for everyone
Carousel turning children are yearning
To ride it forever and never come down
Little one's singing older one's clinging
Everyone riding the merry-go-round
Go round and round and up and down
Round and round they go always reaching for the ring of gold
Never knowing when the music's over they will be old
Call happy calling children are falling
In line to ride on the merry-go-round
People are passing children are laughing
They want to ride on the merry-go-round
Sometimes up and sometimes down
Don't let your feet ever touch the ground
Sometimes right and sometimes wrong
You'll end up where you belong
Sound of their laughter makes the ride faster
Soon the circus stand must come down
Music grows nowhere the ride is over
Say goodbye to the merry-go-round

Merry Go Round
(b.andersson/b.ulvaeus)
First release 1972
I have tried in vain never had success
So it seems my life is nothing but a mess
I have lost my only friend
Now it seems I have to start again
Merry go round
Where am I bound
With my love and feelings
Merry go round
Who wants to kiss me
And hug me and miss me
Yes, who wants to do it
I wish that I knew it
Merry go round
Wish I had found
Somebody to care for
Where am I bound
Life is so lonely
If life is just only
To love when my loving
Goes round and round
Looking for someone
Who would want to stay
I might find her
With a bit of luck one day
But who knows
So until then
I can only try and try again
Merry go round
Where am I bound
With my love and feelings
Merry go round
Who wants to kiss me
And hug me and miss me
Yes, who wants to do it
I wish that I knew it
Merry go round
Wish I had found
Somebody to care for
Where am I bound
Life is so lonely
If life is just only
To love when my loving
Goes round and round
Merry go round
Where am I bound
With my love and feelings
Merry go round
Who wants to kiss me
And hug me and miss me
Yes, who wants to do it
I wish that I knew it
Merry go round
Wish I had found
Somebody to care for
Where am I bound
Life is so lonely
If life is just only
To love when my loving
Goes round and round

It Was Love That We Needed
It was love that we needed
(Hmm, hmm)
We needed love (it was love)
It was love that we needed (oh, yeah)
(Yeah, yeah)
Love
It was love (it was love)
It was love (that we needed)
We needed love, darlin'
Yeah, yeah-eh
(We needed love)
Somewhat impossible
No idea what was happenin' to me
All of my life, things were cool till now
Then the feelin', the strangest feelin' came over me
(Ooh, oh, na, na, na, na, na, na, na)
My happiness just came with such surprise
The water just swelled up in my eyes
An all I could see was your pretty, pretty face (pretty face)
Jumpin' up and down
All around (round) the place
It was love (it was love)
It was love (that we needed) that we needed
It was love, it was love, it was love, it was love
We needed love
It was love (it was love)
It was love (that we needed) that we needed, oh, yeah
Yeah, yeah
We needed love
Never, never, never did I know till now
My deep, deep feelings for another
When just romancin' in the world
Dancin' with you, girl
I knew we'd soon discover, soon discover
(Ooh, oh, na, na, na, na, na, na, na)
My happiness just came with such surprise
The water just swelled up in my eyes
An all I could see was your pretty, pretty face (pretty face)
Jumpin' up and down
All around (round) the place
It was love (it was love)
It was love (that we needed) that we needed
It was love, it was love, it was love, it was love
We needed love
It was love (it was love)
It was love (that we needed) that we needed, yeah, yeah-eh
We needed love
Sing it, girl
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round (whoo, ooh)
Loves, merry go round, goes round (round)
Loves, merry go round (listen)
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round
(Romancin' in the world)
(Just dancin' with you, girl)
Loves, merry go round, goes round (you're my world)
Loves, merry go round (oh, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round
(Romancin' in the world)
(Just dancin' with you, girl)
Loves, merry go round, goes round (you're my world)
Loves, merry go round (whoo, ooh)
It was love (it was love)
It was love, it was love (that we needed) that we needed
It was love, it was love, it was love, it was love, it was love
We needed love
It was love (it was love) it was love
Love that we needed (that we needed)
We needed love, darlin'
We needed love, love, love, love
We needed love
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round
(Loves, merry go round, goes around and round)
(Round and around)
That love, merry go round, goes round
(Goes round and around, round and around, round)
Loves, merry go round
We needed love
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round
(All that we needed)
(It was all that we needed, yeah, yeah, yeah)
That love, merry go round, goes round
Loves, merry go round (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
We needed love
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round
(I'm so proud of you, I'm so proud of you)
That love, merry go round, goes round
(Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Loves, merry go round
We needed love
(All that we needed was love)
Loves, merry go round, goes around and round
(All that we needed was love)

Cakes, Boots and Merry-go-rounds
Violet's art cakes were fake, some say
but Violet's boots were a hoot!
She'd bought them down in Carnaby Street
and they came right up to her knees!
Now what in the heck d'ya suspect
they came right up to her knees.
She wore them into town she did
she wore them to go into town
and when she got there
there was a fair and the
merry-go-round went round and round
the merry-go-round went round.
Violet was an artiste, a very merry artiste
and when she got merry on her daddy's sherry
the cakes she made were a feast they were
the cakes she made were a feast!

A Belief Of The Merry Go Round
it is another beginning
we do not know exactly where we shall mark it
this is a ring
a circle a sphere
turning and turning
round and round
in ecstasy
and pain
there is no end
we do not exactly know where we shall mark it
this is a ball
round and bouncing
this is the Ferris wheel
the May pole
this is another ride for another year
merry, merry, merry go round
how shall we feel it?
when we are too preoccupied
with what we are
and what shall we become?
this is the circle of love
and hate and love and hate
a plain of concern
and indifference
these are dances of many lifetimes
and cycles and repetitions
i see a face and make love with a body
i live in a house and walk on a path
who are you now? what place is this?
and why are we here?

Run Rudolph Run
(marvin brode & johnny marks)
Out of all the reindeer, you know youre the mastermind
Run run rudolph vixen cant be far behind
Run run rudolph santas got to make it to town
Santa make him hurry; tell him he can take the freeway down
Run run rudolph spinning like a merry go round
Said santa to the boy child what would you be longing for
All I want for christmas is a rock and roll electric guitar
Then away went rudolph streaking like a shooting star
Run run rudloph santas got to make it to town
Santa make him hurry; tell him he can take the freeway down
Run run rudolph spinning like a merry go round
(go go go)
Said santa to the girl child what would you be pleased most to get
A little barbie doll that can cry sleep drink and wet
Then away went rudolph streaking like a citation jet
Run run rudolph santa got to make it to town
Santa make him hurry; tell him he can take the interstate down
Run run rudolph spinning like a merry go round
... round round round round round
Run run rudolph santas got to make it to town
Santa make him hurry; tell him he can take the freeway down
Run run rudolph spinning like a merry go round

Tried and tried to crack the shell

izza on a merry-go-round
izza is my my niece
she rides on a merry-go-round
at the carnival
today
before riding it
however
she raises her eyebrow
puzzled
whether to ride
or not to ride
thinking that
if all these horses
run in circles
it will not
be arriving at any place
pointless
futile
on the other hand
all the other cousins
her age
are riding
and she too must ride it
for fifteen minutes
i see
she is enjoying every minute
of the ride
she finally decides to
mount herself
like the rest
waiving her hand
to her mother
taking pictures
on her first ride
on the merry go round
when it ends
she dismounts
at last
i ask her
how does it feel
to ride
in circles
she says
'it is so wonderful'
she claps her hands
and i tell her
'good! '
in silence
i could have told her this,
izza
that is what life is all about
a merry go round
where
we are all children
enjoying our ride
in circles
arriving at nowhere
arriving at no ends
and
your mother is
just like God
taking the pictures
of us waiving
our hands with joy
the joy of life
that joy
on that merry go round
too short
for fifteen minutes......

Merry-Go-Round
Multi-coloured horses,
frozen in flight,
going up and down,
round and round,
day and night.
An organ plays a constant tune,
as young riders smile with joy,
as they ride around,
on this merry-go-round.

Crazy Circles
Life is like a merry go round painted horses riding up and down
Music takes you and you're gone again
Crazy circles never seem to end
Oh I will face the sun
Leavin shadows for behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah
Life is like a game of chance
Some find riches and some romance
Some find happiness and some find sorrow
Some find it today and some maybe tomorrow
Oh I will face the sun
Leavin shadows for behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah
Life is like a carousel you aim for heaven
And you wind up in hell
To all the world you're livin like a king
But you're just a puppet on a broken string
Oh I will face the sun
Leavin shadows for behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah
Life is like mm and the life is like mm
Crazy circles goin round and round
Crazy circles round and round and
One day you're up and the next day you're down
Life is like a merry go round

Merry-go-round
(1)
You know hes gotta get away
To the merry-go-round and round
Count the times that he laid awake at night thinkin
Am I goin down now
Am I goin down
Am I goin down now, oh!
(2)
Its not easy puttin on a smile
Youre alone, lost and found
She waits at home just to love him through the night thinkin
Hes been gone so long now
Is he comin home?
Hes been gone so long now, oh!
(chorus)
Merry-go-round and round (repeat)

She waits alone
Just to love him through the night

Spinning Around Over You
Baby, tell me that my love ain't good
I don't treat you right
I don't do it like I should
You try to tell me that my heart ain't true
How would I waste my time doin' all I do for you ?
You ask me, baby, why you hesitate
That you just can't wait
But it takes the time it takes
Spinnin' round and round and round and
Spinnin' round and round and round and
Spinnin' round and round over you
You think I dissed you , so you pack your bags
You just kicked me 'round
You just through me out like trash
Now baby, babe, Im on my knees for you
Well I might be late but what you're gonna do ?
Spinnin' round and round and round and
Spinnin' round and round and round and
Spinnin' round and round over you
Baby, baby, gimme half a chance
I could treat you right
I'll give you good times and romance
'Cause baby, baby, I'm in love with you
You're my superstar
Tu es mon petit chouchou yeah
Spinnin' round and round and round
Spinnin' round and round and round
Spinnin' round and round over you

Oh yeah
Round and round and round
Round, round
Yeah, yeah, yeah, ooh yeah
Can u tell me where were going 2?
Can u tell me what it is we really want 2 find?
Is the truth really there? or is it right under our hair?
4 all we know its been there all the time.
I say, nothing comes from dreamers but dreams
I say, sitting idle in our boat while everyone else is down the stream
Nothing comes from talkers but sound
We can talk all we want 2, but the world still goes around and round.
Round and round. we go round and round and round.
And what were looking 4 still isnt found
Can u tell me when we gonna get 2 it.
Im tired of fooling around I said I wanna do it. (go 4 it, get 2 it)
I learned my lesson young, I said if want to have fun (go 4 it)
And when u win say, I knew it (go 4 it, get 2 it)
Nothing comes from dreamers but dreams
I say, sitting idle in our boat while everyone else is down the stream
Nothing comes from talkers but sound
We can talk all we want 2, but the world still goes around and round.
Round, round, round, round, round, round
Round and round (get get get get 2 it, go 4 it, get 2 it)
We go round and round and round.
And what were looking 4 still isnt found
1 day Ill make it in the big city
And Ill be looking 4 a girl whos pretty
1 day Ill make a play and she will say ok
cause I plan 2 be a cool kitty
Round and round.
I say, nothing comes from dreamers but dreams
I say, sitting idle in our boat while everyone else is down the stream
Nothing comes from talkers but sound
We can talk all we want 2, but the world still goes around and round.
Round and round. we go round and round and round.
And what were looking 4 still isnt found
Round and round we go. round and round we go.
Round and round and round and round and round and round we go.
Round and round, round and round,
Round and round we go, round and round we go
Round and round.

Merry-Go-Round
Where is the Jim Crow section
On this merry-go-round,
Mister, cause I want to ride?
Down South where I come from
White and colored
Can't sit side by side.
Down South on the train
There's a Jim Crow car.
On the bus we're put in the back—
But there ain't no back
To a merry-go-round!
Where's the horse
For a kid that's black?

Watching The Wheels
People say Im crazy, doing what Im doing.
Well, they give me all kinds of warning to save me from ruin.
When I say that Im okay,
Well, they look at me kind of strange,
Surely youre not happy now,
You no longer play the game.
People say Im lazy, dreaming my life away.
Well, they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me.
When I tell them that Im doing fine
Watching shadows on the wall,
Dont you miss the big time, boy,
Youre no longer on the ball.
Im just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll.
No longer riding on the merry go round,
I just had to let it go.
Ah, people asking questions, lost in confusion.
Well, I tell them theres no problem, only solutions.
Well, they shake their heads and look at me
As if I lost my mind.
I tell them theres no hurry,
Im just sitting here doing time.
Im just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll.
No longer riding on the merry go round,
I just had to let it go,
I just had to let it go,
I just had to let it go.

Merry Go Round
A lone carnival voice
Sings tunes of nobody's choice
And on a vacant lot, someone just forgot
Standing all alone, turning on its own
Weary merry go round
Grows slowly into the ground
And faded circus acts
Sorrow broke their backs
And their sadness cries from their staring eyes
Still, small children come
And bring the harm of play
Spirits, all alive
The drive the ghosts away
Useless merry go round
Tomorrow, they'll tear you down
To build a parking lot
If it lives or not
It was just a toy
All it brought was joy
