A Mermaid On A Dolphin's Back

It was midnight and our ship was in mid-sea,
All were asleep, none there on deck except me.
The sound of the sea water, blowing wind I heard,
I was thinking then, when to go homeward!
Suddenly a musical note passed into in my ear,
Dulcet I might call it, but that put me in fear.
In the semi darkness, I noticed a very queer scene,
A mermaid with half fish body sitting on a dolphin!
A gossamer robe was on her glossy fair skin,
Glyptic band on her golden hair was vividly seen.
They rose up and down and almost touched a rack,
She was the beautiful mermaid, on the dolphin's back!
They were whispering in a very low sound,
I could hear as, there was no roaring waves around!
Her long cloudy locks were swaying in cool air,
Dumb stuck I stood as there was no crew to share!
The mermaid with her fish like bright, tinkle fin,
Embraced earnestly the neck of the cute dolphin!
The moon was walking, with his shiny silver shoon,
The flakes of the clouds wrapped the moving moon.
The sky then got covered with a gauzy dark shroud!
They dived into the sea, remained, the sea kissing cloud!

Dolphin

How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart?
How will u know if Im even in the right key
If u make me stop before I start?
Chorus:
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
And Ill come back again as a dolphin
Why does my brother have 2 go hungry
When u told him there was food 4 all?
This is the man that stands next 2 the man
That stands 2 catch u when u fall (oh!)
Chorus
If Im under water, will u find me? (find me {x4})
Will u shine a light and try 2 guide me?
Its happened before, Ive knocked on your door
But u wouldnt let me in
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart? (oh!)
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
Come back in the end as a dolphin (oh)
(Ill come back, baby)
(let me in, let me in) as a dolphin

Catch

Big Boy came
Carrying a mermaid
On his shoulders
And the mermaid
Had her tail
Curved
Beneath his arm.

Being a fisher boy,
He’d found a fish
To carry—
Half fish,
Half girl
To marry.

Mermaid In The Night

Mermaid in the night
By: roger guth, jay oliver
1989
I went out fishin on a sandy beach
Cast my line out as far as it would reach
Lookin for somethin for the fryin pan
I kick back with a beer in my hand
I mustve got a big one cause its bendin my pole
Im havin to fight just to keep control
It could be a whale God only knows
Whatever it is its not wearin any clothes
Chorus:
Shes larger than life
Made from holy water
Shes covered in green and got
Little scales upon her
Shes larger than life
Shea a mermaid in the night
Shes got a set of gills like no fish Ive ever seen
Long blond hair and a tail in between
Im in love with a creature from the sea
She brings out the crustacean in me
Her voice is a temptation its a siren song
When we kiss there can be no wrong
I ask her to marry me and be my wife
Do the backstroke the rest of our lives
Chorus:
Shes larger than life
Made from holy water
Shes covered in green
Shes got little scales upon her
Shes larger than life
Shes a mermaid in the night
Shes larger than life
Made from holy water
Shes covered in green and got
Little scales upon her
Shes larger than life
Shes a mermaid in the night

Green Eyed Melodie Mermaıd

There’s a green eyed mermaid
who lives deep in the sea,
she has a mermaid tail
all sparkly and bluish green.
At night with the light of moon,
her eyes turn more greenish blue.
But green mostly during the day,
her big eyes have specs of brown not grey,
She sits on the rocks to get a tan,
she uses her tail as a fan.
Her tail flaps, swish, swish, swish,
swimming below is tiny fish.
Then at night when all fishes asleep,
she goes to rocks again and has a peep.
She looks at moon and makes a wish,
she wishes a pirate would give her a kiss.
Then she see’s his ship come to shore,
she anxiously waits, wondering what’s in store.
Pirate lands, and spots green eyed mermaid’s eyes,
he becomes totally hypnotized.
Realizing he sealed his fate,
he kisses her and they sets a date.
A date is set to
A date is set to marry thee,
Yes, green eyed mermaid Melodie.
Then the both go to sea,
Melodie is now a human with legs,
Her pirate husband has one leg as peg.
Now they sail the seas,
Melodie is so happy.

Raven's Hoarse Cry on an Abandon Lighthouse!

The impatient fisherman!
Have you heard the sky's speaking to you
Let her know that how many stars in the sky?
And the deep sea groans in the awful night
Gives you a big puzzle!
Take a rough inventory of the fish in the sea?
My old boy I know that your mild head spins
And no proper answers.
Don't sail further for Mermaid hunt
And you're belong to the burning land
Come back and help her to mend the fishnet
As she too struggles with feelings?

*'And a fair wind changes-
Yoi! Sora! -
Even the largest ship returns to port.

The Little Brother

O brother, brother, come down to the crags by the bay,
Come down to the caves where I play;
For oh! I saw on the rocks, asleep,
A fair mermaid, and the slow waves creep
To bear her away, away.
O brother, brother, come quick, till you laugh with me,
For no mermaid so fair is she,
But the little lass that I saw last night,
(I hid in the shade, you stood in the light),
And she weeping most bitterly.
O brother, brother, I watched her the live-long day,
Saw her hair grow jewelled with spray;
Once her cheek was brushed by a gull's wet wing,
And a finch flew down on her hand to sing,
And was not afraid to stay.
O brother, brother, will she soon awakened be?
I would she might laugh now with me.
She sleeps, and the world so full of sound—
She's so deaf, like the dead that are under the ground,
That I laugh and laugh to see.

The Little Mermaid

The sun shone brightly in the sky,
Crowned with a rainbow there,
While seagulls boldly chose to fly,
As if without a care...
As clouds rolled by ablaze with light,
A ship sailed to the shore,
Above the waves both blue and white
That danced forever more...

Below the waves where dolphins leapt,
Triumphant full of glee,
The little mermaid's dreams were kept
And nestled tenderly...
Her Father's Kingdom full of grace
And wonders rarely known
Were not enough to take the place
Of dreams she called her own...

The little mermaid made her way,
From water to the land,
Where one man took her breath away
The day he held her hand...
Two beating hearts were now as one,
With joy more than enough,
Beneath God's brilliant golden sun,
Where lovers fall in love...

The young man smiled, for he had found,
A treasure trove divine,
More beautiful than all around,
In her, his Valentine...
The little mermaid's dreams came true,
He kissed her once, then twice,
The day he told her, 'I love you! '
Was simply Paradise...

Adopt A Dolphin!

In this most precious world we live
Are creatures wild and free
And while most take, we know some give
To share nobility
That's why we smile like dolphins do
When good deeds can be done
Perhaps just by a chosen few
Who see good works as fun!

We learn that dolphins send out waves
And also hear these sounds
We likewise learn how each behaves
Beyond their leaps and bounds!
We know that dolphins leap for joy
And Flipper proved that well!
As if the air was just a toy
Where they could fly a spell

Each dolphin's like a good luck charm
Deserving of respect
So let's defend them from all harm
In ways we can protect
It's great to be a dolphin fan
You'll find it so worthwhile
Adopt a dolphin, if you can!
You'll make a dolphin smile!

Digital TV Dolphins

I've never seen a dolphin so cute and crystal clear -
Nor with a greater grin as if from ear-to-ear!
The eyes like magic marbles, the fins like shining shields,
The tail bursting with bubbles... What joy each dolphin yields!
Blue bubbles dance in sapphire seas above the sandy depths,
As scuba divers swim with ease between their bracing breaths!
Thus Man and dolphin co-exist contentedly at play,
Where neither is the egoist true joy decides to stay...
Thus, time permitting, friendship grows, bonding beyond compare,
To blossom like a radiant rose... resplendent and so rare...
The photogenic dolphin... our friend without a doubt!
Into his world he lets us in... and that's what love's about!
Approachable and beautiful, so gracious and sublime...
Each somersault so wonderful, so special, every time!
The world is full of splendour - ask those who watch tv!
Yet what could be more tender than dolphins in the sea! ?

The Demise Of Dolphins

Dolphins are delightful creatures, who I absolutely adore;
I feel sad, when they are washed up dead, along the seashore.
Seeing a dolphin swimming in the wild, must be very exciting,
But the day may come, when a dolphin becomes a rare sighting.

The death of a dolphin, should never ever be in vain;
From each one's demise, a lesson should be gained.
If we can try to discover why each dolphin has died,
Our future actions, that reason, should then guide.

The ocean is fast becoming a thick soup of toxic waste;
A daily problem, which many dolphins, now have to face.
If we continue disposing of our waste in to the ocean,
It will end up as a most poisonous and deadly potion.

Dolphins have such happy faces, and are just so adorable;
That we are needlessly killing them, is just so deplorable.
Through sparkling, clear waters, the dolphins love to zoom;
But where waste has been dumped, there is a murky gloom.

There are times when it does seem really very odd,
When deposited on a beach, is a whole dolphin pod.
That is when we need to stop; when we need to pause,
And do our utmost best to discover the underlying cause.

Such sad scenes, we do not wish to see repeated;
As, soon, the dolphin population will be depleted.
Each link within the food chain is strongly connected;
If a dolphin eats a poisoned fish, it too, will be infected.

Some people may think I'm making way too much fuss,
But life upon this Earth, is far from being just about us.
There are creatures on Earth, which are totally amazing,
And it is their lives which we, as humans, are now erasing.

As humans, we seem to think we have every single right,
And many of us are willing to ignore a creature's plight.
We really need to start thinking more, long before we act;
Dolphins are needlessly dying, and that is an actual fact.

I Am (Mermaid)

I am a magical mermaid swimming in the tropical sea.
I wonder what new adventures each day will bring.
I hear happy dolphins chattering while they leap into the air.
I see the golden sunset sparkling on the water's rippling surface.
I want to live in this paradise forever.
I am a magical mermaid swimming in the tropical sea.

I pretend I am queen of the ocean, and all its creatures are my loyal subjects.
I feel the turquoise water cooling my skin.
I touch round, milky-white pearls and swirling light-pink seashells.
I worry that the beautiful ocean will soon become an ugly mess of filth and toxins.
I cry when I see careless humans destroying my home.
I am a magical mermaid swimming in the tropical sea.

I understand the hypnotic songs of crooning blue whales.
I say that the ocean is the prettiest place in the whole world.
I dream of swimming with sea turtles, finding treasure on ancient sunken galleons.
I try to live every moment to the fullest.
I hope all forms of pollution will soon come to an end.
I am a magical mermaid swimming in the tropical sea.

Me And The Moon At Midnight

I awoke at midnight,
and saw the ray of moon,
was touching my forehead,
with its gentle light.
The window was open,
and I stood beside it.
The cool breeze caught
and held my hand,
mesmerized I reached
to the terrace.
The moon at midnight,
and I thus met
face to face....
The trees, the plants
and oh! the houses
around took silver hue.
The stillness, the
melted silver from
the night's one
source inundated the
entire objects to the
loneliness.....
No sound around,
No clamor,
No care,
Only there,
Me and the midnight
Moon to share,
the serenity
of the night,
the borrowed
sunlight...
Me and the....

Mermaid

Hey when I was a lad in fishing town an old man said to me
You can spend your life your jolly life just sailing on the sea
Now you can search the world for pretty girls till your eyes are weak and dim
But don't go swimming with the mermaid son if you don't know how to swim
If you don't know how to swim
For her hair is green as seaweed and her skin is blue and pale
And I tell you now before you start you can love that girl with all your heart
But you're just gonna love the upper part you're not gonna like the tail

So I signed onto a whaling ship and my very first day at sea
I seen a mermaid in the waves reaching out to me
Come live with me in the sea said she and down on the ocean's floor
I'll show you a million wonderous things you never seen before
Oh you never seen before
So over I jumped and she pulled me down down to her seaweed bed
And the pillow made of tortoise shell she placed beneath my head
She fed me shrimps and caviar upon the silver dish
From her head to her waist she was my taste but the bottom part was a fish
Oh her bottom part was a fish
Oh her hair were green as seaweed her eyes were blue and pale
And I loved that girl with all my heart I vowed we'd never part
But I knew the back was not too smart cause I did not like the tail

And then one day when I looked up I saw a sailin' ship
And I met the stare of a millionaire out on a fishing trip
A diamond ring he tied to a string and lowered it down to the water
And my love divine she went for his line and that was the way he caught her
Yes that was the way he caught her
So I sat and cried to the tide same to the clams and whales
How I missed my love her seaweed hair and the silvery shine of her scales.
Just then her sister swam on by, and set my heart awhirl
For her upper part was an ugly old fish but the bottom part was girl
Yes the bottom part was girl
Yes her knees are pink and rosy and her toes are small and frail
Her body it's a work of art and I love that girl with all my heart
And I don't give a damn about the upper part and that's how I end my tale

Helen in Egypt, Eidolon, Book III: 4

Helen herself seems almost ready for this sacrifice-at least, for the immolation of herself before this greatest love of Achilles, his dedication to 'his own ship' and the figurehead, 'an idol or eidolon . . . a mermaid, Thetis upon the prow.'

Did her eyes slant in the old way?
was she Greek or Egyptian?
had some Phoenician sailor wrought her?

was she oak-wood or cedar?
had she been cut from an awkward block
of ship-wood at the ship-builders,

and afterwards riveted there,
or had the prow itself been shaped
to her mermaid body,

curved to her mermaid hair?
was there a dash of paint
in the beginning, in the garment-fold,

did the blue afterwards wear away?
did they re-touch her arms, her shoulders?
did anyone touch her ever?

Had she other zealot and lover,
or did he alone worship her?
did she wear a girdle of sea-weed

or a painted crown? how often
did her high breasts meet the spray,
how often dive down?

The moon is shining bright up above us all
my new moon looks after me protects me
I look up at the stars when twilight comes
shooting stars fly past me twinkling in my eyes
i see the reflection of the moon in the dark dark sea
the gravity of the moon pulls the sea making the waves
that go in and out in and out
i see something a female form splashing in the sea as she gets nearer to my astonishment and surprise its a mermaid swimming over to me

Ancient Rhymes

This song appears on four albums, and was first released on the flower that shattered the stone album, and has also been released on the stonehaven sunrise, the gift you are and the john denver
Ction - sunshine on my shoulder albums.
Two days before the moon was round
You felt the urge of suns light beams
The muffled world of dolphin sound
Slipped down and back into your dreams
For nine full months that passed before
You learned of all of lifes ancient rhymes
Then mother sensed a farther shore
And brought you forth into these times
So taste the air of your new world
And gently guide us to your mind
It knows the winds and sails unfurled
And holds to heart the dolphin kind
Welcome precious earthmade child
We met you first in your fathers songs
And mothers smile and waters wild
Its in this place you now belong
I know you know of all these things
And feel the faith of a dolphins sigh
For you were born on silver wings
To taste the high blown crystal sky
To sing one day to all of us
The songs you learned in dolphin lair
Giving hope to life as all we must
And teach us how their grace to share

Boy With A Dolphin

Boy with a dolphin, two species at play!
Submerged for a moment then up to the spray!
Two mammals at leisure, no danger in sight
Just swimming together neath golden sunlight!
Neither is greater or lesser at all...
Each is the partner as pleasures enthrall!
The dolphin is noble and caring to boot...
Fraternal in spirit and physically cute!
The boy holds the dolphin in tune with his friend,
'You lead and I'll follow! ' They both comprehend!
No biting or scratching, just true courtesy
That's borne of God's blessing and joint harmony!
Could this be the blueprint of how life was planned?
Exploring the Cosmos by space, sea and land!
With love as the standard, the hallmark of grace
And proof is made known by the smile on one's face!
If so, keep on smiling and bubbling with joy!
Remember the dolphin! Remember the boy!
Keep faith with God's Spirit and radiate love!
And soon you'll be flying with angels above!

Mermaid I

AS we lay musing in our beds,
So well and so warm at ease,
I thought upon those lodging-beds
Poor seamen have at seas.
Last Easter day, in the morning fair,
We was not far from land,
Where we spied a mermaid on the rock,
With comb and glass in hand.
The first came up the mate of our ship,
With lead and line in hand,
To sound and see how deep we was
From any rock or sand.
The next came up the boatswain of our ship,
With courage stout and bold:
‘Stand fast, stand fast, my brave lively lads,
Stand fast, my brave hearts of gold!’
Our gallant ship is gone to wreck,
Which was so lately trimmd;
The raging seas has sprung a leak,
And the salt water does run in.
Our gold and silver, and all our cloths,
And all that ever we had,
We forced was to heave them overboard,
Thinking our lives to save.
In all, the number that was on board
Was five hundred and sixty-four,
And all that ever came alive on shore
There was but poor ninety-five.
The first bespoke the captain of our ship,
And a well-spoke man was he;
‘I have a wife in fair Plymouth town,
And a widow I fear she must be.’
The next bespoke the mate of our ship,
And a well-bespoke man was he;
‘I have a wife in fair Portsmouth,
And a widow I fear she must be.’
The next bespoke the boatswain of our ship,
And a well-bespoke man was he;
‘I have a wife in fair Exeter,
And a widow I fear she must be.’
The next bespoke the little cabbin-boy,
And a well-bespoke boy was he;
‘I am as sorry for my mother dear
As you are for your wives all three.
‘Last night, when the moon shin’d bright,
My mother had sons five,
But now she may look in the salt seas
And find but one alive.’
‘Call a boat, call a boat, you little
Plymouth boys,
Don’t you hear how the trumpet[s] sound?
[For] the want of our boat our gallant ship
is lost,
And the most of our merry men is drownd.’
Whilst the raging seas do roar,
And the lofty winds do blow,
And we poor seamen do lie on the top,
Whilst the landmen lies below.

We are in the year 2012 and some people are still naked in the forest;
But, at the bed or roses i will keep my love for you.
Oh Kepha my sweet heart! !
There is berauty in your eyes;
And, the perfect peace is what i want to share with you,
For i am like the little Mermaid and you are called kepha!
I am like the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys,
And out of the fish's belly i will proclaim my muse to you;
