Sweep From The Mind
I merrily sing along the days and nights,
As my highness demands for all its worth;
Glory has arrived forming beauty for me,
Along the path that I command.
Thoughts swept by the wind also are remembered,
Since the breeze of heaven is witnessed.
My party of followers sings along time,
For time shall sweep the dust from your feet,
Singing is the best of the times,
Singing clarifies the mind so much,
Alacrity of thinking shall be obeyed,
For time shall sweep the dust from your feet.

Clark Street Bridge
Dust of the feet
And dust of the wheels,
Wagons and people going,
All day feet and wheels.
Now. . .
. . Only stars and mist
A lonely policeman,
Two cabaret dancers,
Stars and mist again,
No more feet or wheels,
No more dust and wagons.
Voices of dollars
And drops of blood
. . . . .
Voices of broken hearts,
. . Voices singing, singing,
. . Silver voices, singing,
Softer than the stars,
Softer than the mist.

Blow
I want to take away your pain and blow it away into the wind.
I want to blow off the dust covering you and make you new again.
For we all get dust on ourselves once in a while, just like a floor gets dirty,
But this time I will sweep up your dust.
That way you will be new in your eyes even though in my eyes you have always been.

Singing All Day
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing.
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing.
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing,
Oo, my, my, my,
Oo, my, my, my.
Went down to the station to look for her there,
Looked through the crowds for a glimpse of her hair,
Nothing to see but the crowds keep a-staring at me,
My, my,
Oo, my, my, my.
Down in the street, tryn to remember,
Shuffling my feet outside a menswear,
Is that her in the fur coat?
No its not december yet,
My, my, my,
Oo, my, my, my.
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing.
Back to the house, maybe shell phone me,
Singing my song, feeling so lonely.
Ill sing very softly, so if the phone rings
I can hear it, I can hear it.
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing.
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing.
Singing all day, singing 'bout nothing,
Oo, my, my, my,
Oo, my, my, my.

Singing A Love Song
Well, I may not get applause every night when I sing,
And I may not hear the cheers of a crowd.
And my voice cant always rise to make the mountains ring,
And at times I cant even sing out aloud.
But youve got me singing a love song,
Melody and rhyme;
It moves me every time.
Youve got me singing a love song,
And it keeps you on my mind, ooooh, on my mind.
Feelin fine all the time.
It keeps you on my mind.
Sometimes my voice is strained and the strings wont hold a tune.
My back is sore, and Im just too tired to try,
And I dont want to work or rest or think of you,
Or face the world or even close my eyes.
But youve got me singing a love song,
Melody and rhyme;
It moves me every time; I know that,
Youve got me singing a love song,
And it keeps you on my mind, ooooh, on my mind.
Feelin fine all the time.
It keeps you on my mind.
My broken dreams, they dont bother me,
And hard times in life I dont mind.
I think of things that Id rather see,
And you give me piece of mind.
Hard times will come and sometimes I wont wanna sing,
But Ill sing with all the love that I can find.
And Im happy there to hear me in the silence of my song.
Im gonna sing for you until the end of time.
cause youve got me singin a love song,
Melody and rhyme;
It moves me every time.
Youve got me singing a love song,
And it keeps you on my mind, ooooh, on my mind.
Feelin fine all the time.
It keeps you on my mind.
And it keeps you on my mind.
Youve got me singin a love song.
And it keeps you on my mind.
Youve got me singin a love song....

The creation
The stars started glittering
at His supreme command,
and the wind from His mouth
swept over the deep dark void
and light came from the sun
as His mighty hand
placed sun and moon
in their place in space
and their orbits
started to mark tides,
seasons and time.
The great Creator spoke
and the waters and sky
was shaken into place
and the dry earth appeared
following His divine behest.
The earth dressed at His request
with vegetation, living creatures
of every kind unfolded
to make a place for man.
He created man by His own hands
from the dust
shaping and forming him
into His own image
and with a smile
He breathed live into his nostrils
and man became a living being
and I heard voices
praising the living God,
voices in heaven and on earth,
singing their joy of Him.

Alone On the Beach
The ocean waves lap at my feet, the warm salt speckled water warming me against the soft breeze. Soft tan sand as fine as dust shifts beneath my feet. The sun still sits above the horizon, which was good, because she wasn't here yet. I've been waiting so long. I stopped counting the days when I began to lose hope, but I still wait for her. She is so lost in here own mind, so confused by over-analyzing thoughts. She's so much like me, yet so very different. Her music plays through my head, over and over, it brings me so close to her heart, because that's the only time she leaves it open. But it makes me sad, because she's so far away. The sun dies behind the water. She's not here so there is no beauty in its passing. I've spent yet another day alone on this crowded shore.
I think back to so many nights ago, she held me against her heart as I finally fell to pieces, no longer needing to be so strong. Then she left. I don't want to feel the pain so I tell myself its not real and force it to leave me be, so I can stand alone on this crowded beach, waiting for my heart to return.

Dust In The Wind
Music : Kerry Livgren
Lyrics: Kerry Livgren
I close my eyes
Only for a moment and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Now, Don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

Indra
DOWN to the sand-covered earth.
Straw from the harvested fields soiled our feet;
Dust from the high-roads,
Smoke from the cities,
Foul-smelling breaths,
Fumes from cellars and kitchens,
All we endured.
Then to the open sea we fled,
Filling our lungs with air,
Shaking our wings,
And laving our feet.
Indra, Lord of the Heavens,
Hear us!
Hear our sighing!
Unclean is the earth;
Evil is life;
Neither good nor bad
Can men be deemed.
As they can, they live,
One day at a time.
Sons of dust, through dust they journey;
Born out of dust, to dust they return.
Given they were, for trudging,
Feet, not wings for flying.
Dusty they grow--
Lies the fault then with them,
Or with Thee?

Drums Of Heaven
By the time the luminous descent of the bright star unfolds
And tablets of strange love are shattered and bruised
By the time the oleander has fallen from bloom
And the tears of the crocodile water the sun
By the time you make up your mind
If ever you do
I hear the drums of heaven too
By the time paradise alley is littered with rust
And the arc of the dayglo is curtained in gloom
By the time the kidney bone cities are crumbling to dust
And the empires and all of the emirates burn
Ice on the mountain
Wind and the dust storm
Sails in the desert
Its old and exploding
Seers and the prophets
Dramas of heaven

22,000 Days
Even tho I know its only
Me and my dreams
That drive me so let me go please
Let me go onto tomorrow
One day at a time
Now I know the only foe is time
22,000 days, 22,000 days its not alot,
Its all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, its all you know
So start the show and this time
Feel the flow and get it right
Now the time when I first saw you is over and gone
Then I knew my life with you would go on
Knowing you so much longer
Ive change in mind change for you
You have changed to mine
22,000 days, 22,000 days its not alot,
Its all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, its all you know
So start the show and this time
Feel the flow and get it right
Everybody knows, it always shows
Wasting times an aggravation
Got no time for confrontation
You want to take a lot
By love by law or stealth
Times the only real wealth you have got
Even tho I know its only me and my dreams
That drive me so let me go please
Let me go onto tomorrow
One day at a time
Now I know the only foe is time
22,000 days, 22,000 days its not alot,
Its all you got 22,000 days
22,000 nights, 22,000 nights, its all you know

22,000 days, 22,000 days its not alot,
Its all you got 22,000 days

Ive Got A Thing About Seeing My Grandson Grow Old
I buy the nicest things from a supermarket store
Vitamin land and marzipan and I know just what theyre all for
Ive organized my useless life in a way Ive never done before
Even visit the dentist now
Chorus:
But Ive got no time for silly chitter chatter
Im on my way
Cuz while my bloods still warm and my mind doesnt matter
Im hoping to stay
Because Ive got a thing about seeing my grandson grow old
I just cant wait to see that city on the moon
With air conditioned gardens thatll play your favorite tune
Ill see my feet upon that street if its the last thing that I do
Even sweep the roads to be there
Chorus
Ill see my feet upon that street if its the last thing that I do
Even sweep the roads to be there
Chorus

Mama, sing for Me
Mama, sing for me...
Mama, sing for me
Your voice, is the melody to my ear
Your voice, is like the singing birds
When I feel down
Your voice, rise me up
Mama, sing for me
When life doesn't turns out to be right.
Mama, sing for me
One last time.
Your voice, put me to sleep
Your voice is
My soul
My life,
My spirits
When I hear you sing
There's no need to be fear
There's no need to be worried
I'm alive because of your voice
So, sing for me
Sing for me one last time.
Mama, sing for me
Let me hear your voice one last time
You can't go now mama
You were the path of my life
Come back to me
You can't go forever
Mama, sings for me one last time
That's all that i want
Mama, sing for me...

They All Pass Away...
i have nothing to keep
what i have had always been
the courage to give
i mark the treasures
not for keeping them anymore
i put the time
when the ripe time comes
for giving them all
away
one must realize
there is nothing that we can own
wood? termites eat them
iron? the salt rusts them
stones? oh they break
and those precious ones
if you keep them
and treasure them
shall only give you that
little sensual pleasure of
seeing
the stress of robbers
will be there
for all nights and days
there is nothing worth keeping
time? it just slipped away...
me? i am just another dust
and you are another wind...

This Time Is My Time
This time is my time to think about the spring
and all those little bluebirds that have a song to sing.
And when my thoughts are on them
my heart is singing too, singing like a fool
that's so in love, so in love with you.
This time is my time to take it in my stride
and show the world I love you and never let it hide.
Let all the springtime flowers make me feel like them,
blushing with rosy red colors over and over again.
There won't be another time like this.
I can't let it pass me by.
For when the springtime's here again
if you're not here I'll cry.
Now this time is my time to think about the past
when all those little bluebirds flew
'cause springtime doesn't last.
Then sadly I'll remember when I had to say
good bye to love, goodbye to you
'cause my time went away.

Them And Us
One finger on the button
One finger up his nose
Johnny's in some cornfield
The early warning blows
Bigger is better
More is more
Look up, america!
Gonna even up the score
Get ready boys
Third times a charm
Don't need no sweater
It's gonna keep you warm
If we can't have the ball, there won't be any winner
This time
Them and us
Them and us
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
If forty-five minutes
It'll all be done
We'll all be good and crispy
But we'll still be number one
And if things go from bad to worse
We can still kill them if they kill us first
If we can't have the ball, there won't be any winner
This time
Hell-bent
Heaven sent
It all got started by an accident
If we can't have the ball, there won't be any winner
This time
Them and us
Them and us
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
Them and us
Them and us
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust

Pale September
Pale september, I wore the time like a dress that year
The autumn days swung soft around me, like cotton on my skin
But as the embers of the summer lost their breath and disappeared
My heart went cold and only hollow rhythms resounded from within
But then he rose, brilliant as the moon in full
And sank in the burrows of my keep
And all my armour falling down, in a pile at my feet
And my winter giving way to warm, as Im singing him to sleep
He goes along just as a water lily
Gentle on the surface of his thoughts his body floats
Unweighted down by passion or intensity
Yet unaware of the depth upon which he coasts
And he finds a home in me
For what misfortune sows, he knows my touch will reap
And all my armour failing down, in a pile at my feet
And my winter giving way to warm, as Im singing him to sleep
All my armour falling down, in a pile at my feet
And my winter giving way to warm, as Im singing him to sleep

To spring (in reply to John Keats)
When the last impact of winter disappears,
the sun starts to glow bright in its longing,
cold days are dissipated by sunshine
you arrive in your pretty enchantment
with joyful countenance,
in a dashing conquering,
causing everything to sprout new
skipping along like a young child capering,
then you spread you bridal gown out wide
run jolly and overjoyed
so that insects, birds unite with you rejoicing.
Everybody are swept away by your jauntiness
when blossoms are snow white, golden yellow, blushing pink on branches
insects, birds, the wind, the weather are in love with you, are your followers
as if everything in your presence have great joy,
I hear your voice in every whispering
while you hop along, spread your hair and are flaunting
as a girl, slender and pure bringing arms full of love
full of life, full of passion and still young,
you sing the whole day long
drunk with love
stretching your arms out to me, circling out wider.
For you, everybody sings a paean
the wind, birds and insects sing glad
as if you sweep the feet out from under everything
from the big enchantment, that everything living gets from you
as if your rule will never pass,
suddenly all living things are exuberantly free
and you are so innocent, so without suspicion,
but for me you stay a love child
blinding with your beauty
and even the first rain worships you
seeks pampering from you.

Art Consumes Flame Immortal Souls
What is the curse of no time
for any artist for all artists?
Art demands time
all consuming time
times of precise reflection
times of informative focus
times of intense productivity
times of perceptive clarity
times of felt vision testimony
times of account sensitivity
times of passion commentary
times of creative outpourings
times of artistic servitude
means art more demands
than a mere pound of flesh
art demands fibres of our being
art demands neurons identities
art demands touch sound stimuli
art demands light radiant souls
art demands devotes of the mind
art demands paid vision ransoms
art demands intense internal bleeding
art demands pain waltz symphonies
art demands epic universal certainties
art demands artists lifetime creations
art consumes flame immortal souls

Effah
Blest of wind to blow my mind,
The drummer boy is in town to tell you a story;
But Effah will help me to understand his muse.
The wind of change to sweep my feet,
For the lonely birds are about to sing a song;
And to mow the exposed grass on this love.
