Splendid Crown

He walks in splendour of the crowns,
Kings are dark and collected,
Around the dignified angels and archangels,
Fixing their abode on the very rich and wealthy.

One shadow escapes after another,
Stars at night repair the folly of shadows
That cascade on the deals of royalty,
Discovery of a gigantic star is in the air.

Let the pure and expensive be comforted
By the very rich and excellent,
The thought of highness scrapes them,
And blushing men and women escape.

The final night has collapsed,
Lulling the following days,
Finding a dear man who is crazy when sad
And fitting to be called a rested minister.

That one star

Remember that summer, i used to lie down on the grass.
In the countryside, i used to watch the stars every night.
Were always lots of stars in the dark blue sky,
Were always rich lightened in the deep sky.

And there was only one star that i liked.
Was in different places everyday night,
But i would find it every time.

And there was one special star that i wondered.
Was the lightest one in my eyes,
But no one else could find it.

That one star stayed in my memories,
That one star is still in my mind.
Too far to catch it,
Too close to run away from it.

Every night it would appear in the sky.
Every day it would disappear in the light.
Someday i couldn't wait for the night.
Then i used to pray for the night to come quickly.

Still i see that one star,
Even on the another side of the earth.
Still i see that one star,
Even in the middle of my dream.

That one star never left me.
That one star never came close.
Just like in the beginning,
Same in the end.

That one star.
That one star.

Born For Adventure

Written by dennis deyoung
Lead vocals by dennis deyoung
I am the thief of the highway
Rich man you better take hold
cause last night while you lie sleeping
I came to steal all your gold
All the kings horses
All the kings men
Surrounded the chapel
To trap me within
A lady in waiting
Lips red with rouge
She offered me pleasures
I could not refuse
No, no, no
For I was born
Born for adventure
Women whisky and sin
No Ill never surrender
Live by the sword till the end
All the kings horses
All the kings men
Were drinking and dancing
At fezewigs inn
They spoke of my capture
And of my escape
They called it misfortune
But I called it fate
No, no, no
For I was born
Born for adventure
Women whisky and sin
No Ill never surrender
Live by the sword till the end

Healing the Sick

The brightness of the sun is like that of the moon,
Your innocence married with your soul:
You spiritually healed the sick, helped a poor man,
Collected taxes, spent danger, and kept safety.
You worked hard, like a rich man of steel,
Bending the bars of authority like a man of entry.
The sun is a shining weapon of gold,
Marrying me to life outside,
My gain of splendour, like the innocent ones.
The stars reuse their light every night,
And when the nearest star arrives
Our innocence has concerned society
To the very end of life on this planet.

Paper Thin

Rich and wealthy canvas
Clustered up in jewels
Finding all your heavyweights
Are featherweights and fools
Broken all your promises
Broken all your paper plates
Clustered in gold
Crusted in gold
Heavy and hollow
Look at the shape were in
Find us here
Paper thin
Heavy and humble
Look at the shape were in
Find us here
Paper thin
In origami cities
In nations build on sand
Love got bend right outta shape
Things got outta hand
Polystyrene skylines
Papier mch smiles
Rusted and bruised
Tarnished and frail
Heavy and hollow
Look at the shape were in
Find us here
Paper thin
Heavy and humble
Look at the shape were in
Find us here
Paper thin
Stars scrape the moon
And the moon scrapes the sky
We stand beneath
Wondering why
Stars scrape the moon
And the moon scrapes the sky
We stand beneath
Wondering, wondering why
Paper buys the men
The men that make the bomb
The bomb that makes this world
Paper thin!
Money markets crumble
Gentle as a drum
But if you see me stumble, im
Paper thin!
Life is but a fragile thing
So delicate and pure
An accolade bestowed on us
Paper thin!
So contemplate the skull
The skull beneath the skin
One day we all die, were
Paper thin
Bury your destruction
In your last battle hymn
The barriers between us, make em all
Paper thin! paper thin!
Paper thin! paper thin!
Underneath the paper moon
The sky is paper thin
Torn into a thousand shreds
So let the solar system in
Rich and wealthy canvas
Clustered up in jewels
Finding all your heavyweights
Are featherweights and fools
In origami cities
In nations build on sand
Love got bend right outta shape
Nothing ends as planned
And its all-paper thin
Paper thin. paper thin

Night

I love to hear the silence of the night.
That time, when distance draws so near,
and memories come, and far sounds,
undisturbed, so close.
For night is dark and only self is true.
A self whose rest and past, are
only breaths away.
Yet for some,
the night may haunt and fear,
its conscience time, when curtains
closed are drawn.
So too, ones inner self and past,
to joy or fright, the
inner spirits will.

It is a blessed thing this night.
Was it not night when Christ came home,
and balanced Judas evil deed.
And blessed night,
when monks now rise and pray,
and Nicodemus,
for lack of sleep,
came home.
The lady of the night came too,
her stumbling led her home.

In the darkness of the well
the Magi saw the stars in day,
and in the psyche dwells our heart.

O Blessed night,
for rolling back the stone,
the angels let in light,
and finished night.
Night no more.

The silence of the night is deeply rich,
and homeward bound, we rest,
and sound our hope
and lasting joy,
dwells here,
in shadows of the night.

Feast Of The Assumption

Dark! Dark! Dark!
The sun is set; the day is dead:
Thy Feast has fled;
My eyes are wet with tears unshed;
I bow my head;
Where the star-fringed shadows softly sway
I bend my knee,
And, like a homesick child, I pray,
Mary, to thee.

Dark! Dark! Dark!
And, all the day -- since white-robed priest
In farthest East,
In dawn's first ray -- began the Feast,
I -- I the least --
Thy least, and last, and lowest child,
I called on thee!
Virgin! didst hear? my words were wild;
Didst think of me?

Dark! Dark! Dark!
Alas! and no! The angels bright,
With wings as white
As a dream of snow in love and light,
Flashed on thy sight;
They shone like stars around thee, Queen!
I knelt afar --
A shadow only dims the scene
Where shines a star!

Dark! Dark! Dark!
And all day long, beyond the sky,
Sweet, pure, and high,
The angel's song swept sounding by
Triumphantly;
And when such music filled thy ear,
Rose round thy throne,
How could I hope that thou wouldst hear
My far, faint moan?

Dark! Dark! Dark!
And all day long, where altars stand,
Or poor or grand,
A countless throng from every land,
With lifted hand,
Winged hymns to thee from sorrow's vale
In glad acclaim;
How couldst thou hear my lone lips wail
Thy sweet, pure name?

Dark! Dark! Dark!
Alas! and no! Thou didst not hear
Nor bend thy ear,
To prayer of woe as mine so drear;
For hearts more dear
Hid me from hearing and from sight
This bright Feast-day;
Wilt hear me, Mother, if in its night
I kneel and pray?

Dark! Dark! Dark!
The sun is set, the day is dead;
Thy Feast hath fled;
My eyes are wet with the tears I shed;
I bow my head;
Angels and altars hailed thee, Queen,
All day; ah! be
To-night what thou hast ever been --
A mother to me!

Dark! Dark! Dark!
Thy queenly crown in angels' sight
Is fair and bright;
Ah! lay it down; for, oh! to-night
Its jeweled light
Shines not as the tender love-light shines,
O Mary! mild,
In the mother's eyes, whose pure heart pines
For poor, lost child!

Dark! Dark! Dark!
Sceptre in hand, thou dost hold sway
Fore'er and aye
In angel-land; but, fair Queen! pray
Lay it away.
Let thy sceptre wave in the realms above
Where angels are;
But, Mother! fold in thine arms of love
Thy child afar!

Dark! Dark! Dark!
Mary, I call! Wilt hear the prayer
My poor lips dare?
Yea! be to all a Queen most fair,
Crown, sceptre, bear!
But look on me with a mother's eyes
From heaven's bliss;
And waft to me from the starry skies
A mother's kiss!

Dark! Dark! Dark!
The sun is set; the day is dead;
Her Feast has fled;
Can she forget the sweet blood shed,
The last words said
That evening -- 'Woman! behold thy Son!
Oh! priceless right,
Of all His children! The last, least one,
Is heard to-night.

We Will Remember - (cycle - Poetry For My Friends)

escape crazy heart
but it doesn't want to listen
why
tell me why
precisely here
you and I

escape crazy heart
somewhere somebody is waiting for you
listen
and perhaps you not yet you know about it
why, you and I
we are together
here

escape crazy heart
my get to know and...unknown
I won't say
it is well..o! yes
I will say nothing
...nothing

escape crazy heart
an appropriate moment is now
the mistake is a mistake
because it won't be after all
our shared excellent
hit

escape crazy heart
escape crazy heart
escape crazy heart
but only... in a minute
we won't hear the heart

we will remember eyes

If i were a rich biatch!

If i was rich,
i'd buy lots of things,
glitzy bits,
and diamond rings,
there would be,
no money rashings,
i'd have to follow,
the trendy fashions,
i'd eat out in expensive places,
and you would still see,
the same old wasters,
if i were rich,
i'd have no money worries,
i would get down to the shops in a hurry,
but i'm not rich,
and i never will be,
i work hard for my money,
and that is me!

poor or rich?
i can't choose which,
but i will never be a rich biatch! !

Money, Money

I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay
Ain't it sad
And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That's too bad
In my dreams I have a plan
If I got me a wealthy man
I wouldn't have to work at all, I'd fool around and have a ball...
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world
A man like that is hard to find but I can't get him off my mind
Ain't it sad
And if he happens to be free I bet he wouldn't fancy me
That's too bad
So I must leave, I'll have to go
To Las Vegas or Monaco
And win a fortune in a game, my life will never be the same...
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money

The final bell rings

The crowd were going crazy
as the two boxers entered the ring
the best fighters in there division
one would be the new boxing king.
The bell rang for the start of the fight
the arena was now at fever pitch
one of these pugilists would be a victor
and become wealthy and stinking rich.
The punches from them both were hard
this was a fight that was brutal and tough
these fighters really meant business
and the rounds were mean and rough.
There was nothing between them both
as the fight went to it's final round
when suddenly one of them collapsed
from being noisy you couldn't hear a sound.
The medics rushed into the blood stained ring
as the boxer lay motionless and deathly White
the referee raised the arm of the new champion
and he was announced as the winner of the fight.
But sadly the loser never ever came round
he died in the hospital that very same night
this brave and courageous warrior lost his life
sadly never again to step into a ring to fight.

Final Day

When the rich die last
Like the rabbits
Running from a lucky past
Full of shadow cunning
And the world lights up
For the final day
We will all be poor
Having had our say
Put a blanket up on the window pane
When the baby cries lullaby again
As the light goes out on the final day
For the people who never had a say
There is so much noise
There is too much heat
And the living floor
Throws you off your feet
As the final day falls into the night
There is peace outside
In the narrow light

My Nature

My nature is of nature itself,
A kind light of my soul,
The very essence that rings supreme,
Into every knot of existence.

The elite flower is on my head,
Overcast with shadows that nature deals,
A sun and star cascade like waterfalls
To bury the lavender on my hat.

My nature is that of fear and grief,
Solid nature of sad constancy,
The sadness subsides to bring in hope
Of an everlasting future.

My chair has turned golden,
As the warmth enters the heart,
Giving masterful looks to my face,
This path of action ranks high as highness itself.

The Three Kings

WHEN the star in the East was lit to shine
The three kings journeyed to Palestine;

They came from the uttermost parts of earth
With long trains laden with gifts of worth.

The first king rode on a camel's back,
He came from the land where the kings are black,

Bringing treasures desired of kings,
Rubies and ivory and precious things.

An elephant carried the second king,
He came from the land of the sun-rising,

And gems and gold and spices he bare
With broidered raiment for kings to wear.

The third king came without steed or train
From the misty land where the white kings reign.

He bore no gifts save the myrrh in his hand,
For he came on foot from a far-off land.

Now when they had travelled a-many days
Through tangled forests and desert ways,

By angry seas and by paths thorn-set
On Christmas Vigil the three kings met.

And over their meeting a shrouded sky
Made dark the star they had travelled by.

Then the first king spake and he frowned and said:
'By some ill spell have our feet been led,

'Now I see in the darkness the fools we are
To follow the light of a lying star.

'Let us fool no more, but like kings and men
Each get him home to his land again!'

Then the second king with the weary face,
Gold-tinct as the sun of his reigning place,

Lifted sad eyes to the clouds and said,
'It was but a dream and the dream is sped.

'We dreamed of a star that rose new and fair,
But it sets in the night of the old despair.

'Yet night is faithful though stars betray,
It will lead to our kingdoms far away.'

Then spake the king who had fared alone
From the far-off kingdom, the white-hung throne:

'O brothers, brothers, so very far
Ye have followed the light of the radiant star,

'And because for a while ye see it not
Shall its faithful shining be all forgot?

'On the spirit's pathway the light still lies
Though the star be hid from our longing eyes.

'To-morrow our star will be bright once more
The little pin-hole in heaven's floor--

'The Angels pricked it to let it bring
Our feet to the throne of the new-born King!'

And the first king heard and the second heard
And their hearts grew humble before the third.

And they laid them down beside bale and beast
and their sleeping eyes saw light in the East.

For the Angels fanned them with starry wings
And the waft of visions of unseen things.

And the next gold day waned trembling and white
And the star was born of the waxing night.

And the three kings came where the Great King lay,
A little baby among the hay,

The ox and the ass were standing near
And Mary Mother beside her Dear.

Then low in the litter the kings bowed down,
They gave Him gold for a kingly crown,

And frankincense for a great God's breath
and Myrrh to sweeten the day of death.

The Maiden Mother she stood and smiled
And she took from the manger her little child.

On the dark king's head she laid His hand
And anger died at that dear command.

She laid His hand on the gold king's head
And despair itself was comforted.

But when the pale king knelt in the stall
She heard on the straw his tears down fall.

And she stooped where he knelt beside her feet
And laid on his bosom her baby sweet.

And the king in the holy stable-place
Felt the little lips through the tears on his face.

* * * * * * *

Christ! lay Thy hand on the angry king
Who reigns in my breast to my undoing,

And lay thy hands on the king who lays
The spell of sadness on all my days,

And give the white king my soul, Thy soul,
Of these other kings the high control.

That soul and spirit and sense may meet
In adoration before Thy feet!

Now Glory to God the Father Most High,
And the Star, the Spirit, He leads us by.

And to God's dear Son, the Babe who was born
And laid in the manger on Christmas morn!

Of Shadow of Light

The rain on the stars,
of light and shadow,
both wrought of the same substance,
gave way to the life,
and on each dropp sang the nymphs,
whose names invoked a deep mundane power,
both real and elusive,

So the flood of shadow and light,
flowed on each star,
within angels' sight,
and so were drowned all stars,
in shadow, in light,
that each came to come,
to separate day from night,

And so the sun,
of fire,
began from water,
and a song of the nymphs,

of Shadow of Light.

Faculty

Convertible faculty on a universal emblem,
It can be done and expresses as needed;
But the movement of the amoeba is all that i know.

Of the captivity of your muse and,
Of the ignorance of the history around us;
Today we've taken weapons to kill ourselves and,
We've lost this rich land called earth.

This rich land and this rich love,
This rich sea and this rich valley,
And a river came out of Eden to water the garden;
But of a faculty to acquire degrees that had led us to war!

Chisel out two stone tablets and,
Come up to me on the mountain of love;
And like the first time of your love,
You are the bone of my bones and the flesh of my flesh.

I have seven daughters and,
Of the bucket among the reeds!
But a ravenous wolf devours the foe and,
I am here to stay the night with you.

The delights of the hills and the delights of my love,
And like the sweeping floor of the river beside you;
But a ravenous wolf divided the plunder and,
I am here to stay the night with you.

Forty days of embalmment and seventy days of mourning,
Wash my garments in wine and my rose in the blood of grapes!
Because i am tethering my donkey to the vine of love and,
I will lay down with my faculty in peace.

Travelin Man

Words and music by bob seger
Up with the sun, gone with the wind,
She always said I was lazy.
Leavin my home, leavin my friends,
Runnin when things get too crazy.
Out on thr road, out neath the stars,
Feelin the breeze, passin the cars.
Women have come, women have gone,
Everyone tryin to cage me.
Some were so sweet, I barely got free,
Others, they only enraged me.
Sometimes at night, I see their faces,
I feel the traces they left on my soul.
Those are the memories that made me a wealthy soul.
Travelin man, love when I can,
Turn loose my hand cause Im goin.
Travelin man, catch if you can,
But sooner or lare Im goin.
Travelin man ... travelin man, yes I am.
Sometimes at night, I see their faces,
I feel the traces they left on my soul.

The Ten Stars

In the motion of the universe,
The rotation of planets,
The conjuction of the wind,
There my sight witnesses,
The opposition of stars
Rare but wonderfully made

I count the stars and make my wish,
My summit shall i reach,
With her in poverty i'm rich
Im a happy man,
I saw ten stars

Star number one,
Besides you let there be none,
Star number two,
To love you more, never a few,
Star number three,
My love unto you for free
Star number four,
The love we built to never fall,
Star number five,
Wish all things but mostly life
How wonderful are they, ten stars

In this lonely night my heart beats faster,
I make wishes, but they are not my master,
I point the stars and make wishes,
How beautiful are they, ten stars

Star number six,
So shall our foes fall by the axe
Star number seven,
Against all odds we remain even
Star number eight,
We shall so grow above heights,
Star number nine,
Of course, , to remain mine
Star number ten
I wish to make hundred wishes per day
How beautiful are they, ten stars

Shadow & Jimmy

Shadow and jimmy were always yesterdays news
Jimmys a bowler, shadow rents out his green bowling shoes
Late friday night when the bars are all shuttered and dark
He shadows back jimmy to the lot in the lost trailer park
For shadow and jimmy all the weekends end up the same
If its saturday night, then it must be the hockey game
After cold beer and barbecued ribs the night is complete
With wrestling stories and elegant bones
That are tired of walking and on their way home
Chorus
And they talk about the women
And they look at the girls
Theyll never know the ways of the world
Theyve got a mouthful of much obliged
And a handful of gimme
And the love for each other
Of shadow and jimmy
For shadow and jimmy now the story is told
Theres nothing to hold on to and no one to hold
Men without women are like fish without
Water to swim in
With their eyes bugging out
They flop on the beach
And look up at the girls
Who are just out of reach

Who Is Rich?

I strive to be rich,
to travel on the roads,
of the capital cities,
in Sedan or limousine.

I work hard to be rich,
to find a lot in Beverly hills,
to buy an aircraft and
a hover to fly and float.

I work day and half night,
to be rich to others sight,
to smoke a cigar of an inch,
and a few girls to pinch.

scanty girls of Los vegas,
dress up, for a living,
trendy sad faced Indians,
walk alone for a living.

I want to be rich,
traveling as a rat,
through the holes of,
capital cities.

She wants to be rich,
He wants to be rich and
we want to be rich, but
people call us rich.
