Soft Accent

In soft accents the language results,
From what you say and endeavor,
Leaving the wastes and treasures,
Feeling your own puzzle at the eyes.
I have to cooperate once the astonishment
Heartens the blood, as the blood is my residue.
I had meant to be pleasing to the eye,
I was sorely disappointed due to ill-health,
My reasons for living were reduced
And afterwards the garrison was a bundle of joy.

After supper the same day, we began in threes and fours
To decide the fate of our ancestors.
We looked agitated when the handkerchiefs were rinsed
And with water the ladies of the night mistook
Us for children.
I have trouble talking to this woman,
I have reappeared for the main question.
Give the brush to my hair,
And comb like I do,
This was another garment of desire.

I have possessed the fine jewelry,
Another garrison of guardians are afoot,
With their campaigns of reality,
And stupidity, and lust.

In softer ways known to men,
I might need the lady who dims the lights
And folds her belongings one day
To see me finish the way I do.

Reasons For My Depression

REASONS FOR MY DEPRESSION

I know this weight this inertia
I know this sense of being drawn down
I know this feeling that nothing can be done
That I can do nothing
I know this sense of threat
A war might come and the enemy missiles make our cities burn
My loved ones might be in danger
I know this fear of being abandoned
Of our people facing another disaster
Wandering in homelessness
I know this feeling of being able to go nowhere
I know this feeling of never being able to get out of it
I know the tiredness and the indifference
I know my sense that I have wasted my life and work is not worth anything
The taxman is coming
The money is running out
There are more unanticipated expenses
When I just do not have it
I have already spent more this month than I should have
My clothes are old and worn
So much about me is so shabby
I do not like other parents and grandparents
Have the money to really be of help
There are so many unfixed broken things in the house
That I should have fixed long ago
I have chronic pain now as never before
The blood pressure the prostate
Will I ever get out of it? I have not been able to yet
I have so many health problems now
Is the skin discoloration cancer?
We may have a visitor who is lost himself and needs help
I do not know how to give
How much of my time will he take?
I do not have the patience for anyone or anything
Please don't bother me but I can't get out of this myself
My wife is disappointed with me
My wife is not that well and I worry about her health
I worry about my children so much I undermine their confidence
So many of our friends are sick and dying
I am already old and only getting older
The next stage is the walker the wheelchair
Will I be surprised and have a stroke
And become the worst kind of burden?
I remember my mother eight years in a wheelchair unable to speak,
We all die and I have not bought a gravesite yet
I am older than I ever pictured myself as being
So many hate us on the basis of their own bigotry stupidity ignorance
there are so many bad people in the world
there is so much hatred
there are so many reasons for despair
there is no end of reasons
I can go on and on and on
The question is not why I despair
But how do I manage most of the time not to?

1... your smile, dont have to say no more
2... your guidance and all the things you show me

4... your headstrong personality
5... your take-charge capability
6... I love the way you cook for me
Beef roast, white rice and gravy
Ill give you 25 reasons why Im really in love with you
I can give you 25 reasons why Im never leaving you
7,8,9... the roses, the massages, the cards you give for no reason at all
10... the way you spend on me even though I got my own money
11... for always being yourself regardless of how I or anyone else felt
12... the way you dont trip on me when Im in the studio real late
Like right now
25 reasons why Im really in love with you
I got 25 reasons why im....
Wait a minute - I dont need no backgrounds to tell you the rest, baby

Come on ladies, help me say...
25 reasons why Im really in love with you (I am so in love with you)
I can give you 25 reasons why Im never leaving you (ohhhh)

Fall, Magnificient Fall

Oh to simply read you-Garrison-

Conjures up masterpieces in my minds eye-

Divine 'tis the Maple Tree (more so even now)

Unbridled passion, flows throughout the Autumns sky;

Oh, the colours that you write of, Garrison-

Golden Yellows to the Blazing Reds...

And of course, Falls Dance of Romance-

And the truth of the masterpieces-oft' ignored, once you're dead;

You touch upon the reality of it all-Garrison-

Not listening, as we ignore bad advise-given from the Maple tree...

And when the rain comes pouring and the wind blows gales-

In the end, what we really have is a heap of rotting leaves! ;

So say you of what it is like in St. Paul, Garrison?

Our own mortality, it cannot be put on pause...

For we are as fragile and forgettable as the maple tree-

Fighting our petty battles but for what noble cause? ? ?

You state basicically that we are born and then we die-

Can you imagine the obituarys of the great poets of the past?

Dying so young- -as Shelley and Keats-

We might feel a twinge reading it- but it would not last! ? !

Fall, oh your magnificient Fall- - Garrison...

Remembering the young romantic poets of their time-

Writing at their very best at 25, 28, 29, and 31...

Dying soon after completing their very best rhymes;

Oh how i love to read you, Garrison...

So brave-not allowing a little stroke-get you down-

A Prairie Home Companion and 77 Love Sonnets-are a must...

Were you aware that you're creating a Legacy that will indeed live on?

It is with great admiration and esteem that i dedicate this poem
To Garrison Keilor...Of St Paul, Minnisota-Columnist-
Author of 77 Sonnets-Stroke Survivor Since The first Week In September Of 2009.

Here's to Spring Garrison

Witch

Eyes, rivulets of red that run beneath a canopy
Of green-tinged lashes –
Tear blood playing on the grey-white skin,
Stretched across the twin peaks of cheekbone.

That slender pillar of a neck –
Magnet of eroticism, blinds to
Veins gorging on the flesh,
Dancing under pulse of blood –
Or whatever pumps inside.

Coal-black lips word intentions –
Castigations – variations of the horror
She was born to be.

O the hair! – a flame-orange avalanche
Thundering down to Hell
Where seething mounds of torn bodies lost their souls
To viler wants and fouler holes of
Scatological minds.

And the plunge of lavish breast –
E’er the siren’s weapon! –
Baits the mortal man –
Were he to chance his hand across
The certainty of doom.

But still we go, our weakness on display –
Hers will not a challenge be to see to our decay.

Lady Of The Night

They call her the lady of the night
Shes a woman of the world
And easy-living girl with love for sale
Thats what they call her the lady of the night
No one seems to know her name
And even less about the place
From where she came
Every evening when the night is close at hand
Youll find the lady on the rue davignon
In a half lit hotel doorway the lady advertises warmly
Its just a job but shell do the best she can
Dont try to change this lady of the night
Shes a lot like you and me
And less than what she seems to be
(she is the lady of the night)
And easy-living girl
(she is the lady of the night)
Shes a woman of the world
(she is the lady of the night)
With lots of loving for sale
(she is the lady of the night)
Lady lady of the night
Round here they call her the lady of the night
In a perfume hotel room
Shadows dance upon the wall and fate at dawn
Shes no beginner this lady of the night
Never try that funny stuff
cause lady can be tough
Be warned!
(she is the lady of the night)
Shes a lot like you and me
(she is the lady of the night)
And never just what she seems
(she is the lady of the night)
No one seems to know her name
(she is the lady of the night)
Or the place from where she came

Fresh Blood

All the neighbours never see me
But they wonder why I walk around at night
He gets hungry - I go hunting
In the moonlit streets
For somebody that's right
Fresh blood, a sanguinary feast Is all he's living for
And he craves it more and more
Showgirls, businessmen in suits in the midnight rain
If they walk alone are never seen again
In the paper, seems a florist
Found in Lincoln Park, died of some anemia
No one raped her, poor Doloris
Just detained her and drained her on the spot
Fresh blood, a sanguinary feast
Is all he's living for
And he craves it more and more
Old men, ladies of the night walking in the rain
If they walk alone are never seen again
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me
Fresh blood inside of me, cry to me
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me
Fresh blood inside of me, cry to me
No one calls and no one visits
We're like a couplet out of Desolation Row
We don't want them to want to know us
'Cause when they do, they get a little bit too close
Fresh blood, a sanguinary feast is all I'm living for
And I crave it more and more
Bad girls, cops on the beat in the midnight rain
If they're out alone, are never seen again
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me
Fresh blood inside of me, cry to me
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me
Fresh blood inside of me, cry to me
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me
Fresh blood inside of me, cry to me
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me
Fresh blood inside of me, cry to me
Fresh blood it goes through me, flows through me

Devil's Night

a lust for blood a horrors night
a longing for the taste of innocent
flesh demons come out to play
when the nights hour is none
let the rest less rise and roam
through the streets of the living
let all awake hear the screams
as blood stains the nights streets
reward the wicked with a personal
lick of the tongue down the neck
as the blood filled vains pop in your
mouth feel alive again as your thrist
for blood is lifted
feed my children feed rip the life out of
the living let all your my children feed
allow the living to fear when the nights
none let only the wandering souls of the
dead roam these streets
cause tonight we feed like
kings on to the flesh of the living
let all a sleep awake to the horried streets
an when the nights bright let the
shattered memories of former friends
mothers, children, father be seen in a pool
of there own blood as we rest to return again
when the clock strights 3am and the night
becomes none =] hahaha until tomorrow my pretties
until tomorrow

Blood Flows

Soon my blood is in a stopping way,
It mixes with the air, and a scab forms.
My heart is all right, fine, perfect,
At last, let the heart beat naturally
Like the wheel is turning to make travel.
We soon relax, storm other hearts
And consider this question and many more.
The blood eventually stops, halts in ways,
As the heart of mine is concerning the doctor-
An expert of excellence, a brilliant mind.
The heart is all right, perfect like ice is water,
Much ends here, to talk the heart bleeds love.
The heart is not just love, it concerns our soul,
The spirit of love itself, a reality of greatness.
My blood desists to roam in my veins,
Right now, it does not flow and I may never inhabit the Earth.

Red With Native Blood

Give them back their bloody land,
red with native blood.
We have soiled it so, with our hands,
red with native blood.
The earth was stained, when we first came,
red with native blood.
We stole their domain, with a barbaric claim:
that we were civilised and they were not,
that they were the savages and we were not,
when we ravaged the land that began to clot,
red with native blood.

Not content with genocide
we interned them in reserves.
To break their culture
and tribal ways;
in stealing children
the state was brave,
to turn their women
into household slaves,
and hope their men would die,
unmourned, in lonely graves;
a problem to us no more.

Give them back their bloody land,
red with native blood.
Acknowledge their just demands,
wash the stains from our hands,
give them back their bloody land,
red with native blood.

Talons of a Gothic Mind

She of talons, borne from gothic mind-
Steel of blue her chilly stare,
Pitch of black her fetid blood-
Whence there came an evil flare

To terrorise the weeping kind
Befogged in mental mire; to rape
The shore with phallic waves -
And all for lust, her one desire:

Corrupt the sand of innocence
Without a case for penitence,
Or cause for such as reticence -
While coming on her priapismic fire.

A Woman's Nipple

a woman's breast is exposed
the nipple, pinkish and firm like a pointillist finger

looks over the window of the dress, innocent and
wondering, what the world out there is all about

why it is hidden? it is desire - why is it suppressed?
the eyes of the woman with long curly and soft

hair are so inviting, it says welcome, we have been here
before you came, we have been searching for you

for you are lost, like a ship without an anchor in the sea
of love, in the storms of your lust, in the calmness after

an outburst of desire, -why do you come with shyness?
the nipple smiles, and remembers how is it to be sucked

till it brings forth milk for all thirsty babies of this world
men who miss life, men who love to live because the

pink nipple is hungry for their hands, because the eyes of
the woman are always inviting, because love is still a

possibility, because lust is its initiative, because death is
imposed by the system, that refuses to understand and give.

Whose Souls Are Saved

Whose souls are saved,
When invaders arrive...
To crush, divide and slaughter?
How brave are they,
Who succeed against the defenseless,
Left wounded with futures diminished.
Beginning missions without a finish!
Only interests in resources,
Empower those in armored forces.
Producing movements to incite genocide...
With heartless eyes and deaf to cries!
Whose souls are saved?
Who gives them the right to decide...
Whose life is worth living,
And which ones must die!
Invisible now are those shields that hide.
Rising from unseen dimensions...
Crazing those with rage!
Leaving debated battles on all sides.
Delighting in blood fields where they bathe!
Whose souls are saved?
Could they be of those,
Who choose to parade their evil ways?
Those expecting victory...
Yet perceiving themselves left to question,
Why they've been 'stung'...
With just hollow praises to raise!

A Love Poem For Today

we were meant to be,
we made a pledge of love
under the fullness of the moon
the North Star is our witness

we got separated
Fate has its reasons
we do not know
how it happened

how could i love you
and yet decide to leave and love another?
how could i betray you
and marry another one instead?

Fate has its reasons
I do not know how it happened.

All i know is this: You will be happier
If it were not me.

I have less and i cannot give you more.
I have loved you more and cannot afford to give you less.

You deserve to be happy. I don't.
Forget me then for I have hurt you.

As thy world to black from blue
As thy eyes turned from bright to dull

As thy hair turned blood red

As thy hands, feet became clawed
And thy lust for blood became strong

As thy people died with red, black

Tonight Will Be Fine

Sometimes I find I get to thinking of the past.
We swore to each other then that our love would surely last.
You kept right on loving, I went on a fast,
Now I am too thin and your love is too vast.
But I know from your eyes
And I know from your smile
That tonight will be fine,
Will be fine, will be fine, will be fine
For a while.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
Theres only one bed and theres only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.
But I know from your eyes
And I know from your smile
That tonight will be fine,
Will be fine, will be fine, will be fine
For a while.
Oh sometimes I see her undressing for me,
Shes the soft naked lady love meant her to be
And shes moving her body so brave and so free.
If Ive got to remember thats a fine memory.
And I know from her eyes
And I know from her smile
That tonight will be fine,
Will be fine, will be fine, will be fine
For a while.
