Perils On Skin
The perils facing people find us,
It is like cause for alarm, too much time.
The lair of peace divides us the same,
The epic of war is upon us, more than ever.
We are vulnerable to attack by the lovers,
A poisonous breed of loving attackers.
The insect bit a warding bite, a full wound on the skin,
Thankfully due to mild spit, a roof needed.
The perilous act of selfishness overtakes our skin,
The skin is risked by the other side.

Skin
Have you ever thought about the skin,
And how the only thing keeping from one being slipping into another,
Being consumed by, and consuming them completely, is skin?
Have you ever felt someones skin against yours,
So close to being one entity,
Yet restricted by skin.
Such a small thing,
They keeps us from being entirely one,
An organ that keeps our organs separate, apart.
It's depressing in a way,
That two people can become so close they feel each other melding together,
Yet the skin remains a boundary between one and the other.
Maybe that's what happens when we die,
The last barrier removed from the equation,
Allowing us to finally unite with our other half, complete and entirely, together.

The Tasadays
(remants of a Stone Age culture)
recently discovered in the Philippines
have no words
for war, hate or weapons
but favour
the communicative power
of skin
indulging in constant
warm enfolding embraces
loving touches.
So, this Tuesday
let's be Tasadays
hark back
to Stone Age practice
and indulge in
the process of osmosis
soaking each other up

We spend hours just holding each other...the skin of the other offering love comfort and security and sensuality. Ever since we met in Stratford and inadvertently our thighs touched when seated together...that one touch conveyed all that could be said for now and forever. In that one touch we had everything we needed to know about each other and the rest of our bodies just had to catch up!
