Obese War
Obese facts like the trails,
Paths of destruction are limited;
May fortune be warrior,
Obesity is a risk of the war.
Mighty malefactors migrate
And position themselves for later.
Open their wounds and commit knife
On their entrails and burns on their skin.
Most of the war was fought by arabs
In a small desert, compact and ready
For the realities against us.
War is a fat chance, my withdrawal
And solution, far greater than any other.
Fortunate soldiers are welcome,
Open their wounds and extract.
For bullets spell disaster and catastrophes,
Much like obesity and the skin.

Pharmacy Fat Man
After my yearly physical
I stopped by the pharmacy
To buy some niacin pills
A fat man stood ahead of me
He easily weighed 400 pounds
I stood for what seemed like hours
Pharmacist was giving instructions
How many pills and do’s & don’ts
I mused, “Why so many drugs? ”
The answer was crystal clear
Severe obesity was the culprit
Did the fat man suffer from,
Hypertension, high cholesterol
Diabetes, enlarged heart, varicose veins
Acid reflux, hernia and lymph edema
All of these potentially fatal diseases
Because of poor food choices
And lack of exercise
His Doctor was treating symptoms
The fat man was ignoring the cause
Wanting only relief and a quick fix…

From Wikipedia;
“Obesity in the United States has been increasingly cited as a major health issue in recent decades. While many industrialized countries have experienced similar increases, obesity rates in the United States are among the highest in the world with as of 2007 74.1 % of adults being overweight or obese.[2]
Estimates of the number of obese American adults have been steadily expanding, from 19.4% in 1997,24.5% in 2004[3] to 26.6% in 2007.[4]
The direct medical cost of obesity and indirect economic loss to obesity has been estimated to be as high as $51.64 billion and $99.2 billion in 1995, respectively; [5] this rose to $61 billion and $117 billion in 2000.[6] Researchers for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and RTI International estimate that in 2003, obesity-attributable medical expenditures reached $75 billion.[7]”

Wounded
Lost and broken
Hopeless and lonely
Smiling on the outside
But hurt beneith my skin
My eyes are fading
My soul is bleeding
I'll try to make it seem ok
But my faith is wearing thin
So help me heal these wounds
They've been open for way too long
Help me fill this soul
Even though this is not your fault
That i'm open
That i'm bleeding
All over your brand new rug
And i need some one to help me sow them up
I only wanted a magazine
I only wanted a movie screen
I only wanted the life i'd read about and dreamed
And now my mind is an open book
And now my heart is an open wound
And now my life is an open soul for all to see
But help me heal these wounds
They've been open for way too long
Help me fill this soul
Even though this is not your fault
That i'm open
And i'm bleeding
All over your brand new rug
And i need some one to help me
So you come along
I push you away
Then kick and scream for you to stay
Cuz i need some one to help me
Oh i need some one to help me
To help me help these wounds
They've been open for way too long
Help me fill this soul
Even though this is not your fault
That i'm open
And i'm bleeding
All over your brand new rug
And i need some one to help me sow them
I need some one to help me fill them
I need some one to help me close them up

Vast Oasis
Open with obesity the vast oasis
Of this fragile planet we call ourselves;
Absent with abruptness, this land of love has achiness,
My counting counsel has many bookshelves.
With everybody in the world working like werewolves
We have whirled into whirlpools for the acts we commit.
Obese assemblies of ancestry wing their wolves
Into oblivion as time testifies with sin what to omit.
Permit me to call on the aces and kings
Of the playable cards and their wrangling,
Each wanting it, walking about with bearings,
Acute awareness is their pride on this planet accumulating.

My Fortune
My fortune is big, bigger than oil and silver,
Open the chest of treasure which is hot and ready,
The skin has been contaminated, of goals and looks,
How are your messages recorded by the machinery?
My fortune died a long time ago, houses were fair,
Jokes were limited, never are they strong to live up to now,
Make the jest and keep order and justice.
I produce the machinery,
And you do the hard work.
My fortune is big, but I am biggest.

Being overweight and obesity are major risk factors for many chronic diseases for South Dakotans of all ages. When people are overweight or obese, they have more health problems and more serious health problems, in addition to higher health care costs.

Skin
Skin discloses unrealized dreams:
people moved with desires,
thinking about children they never had,
the books they never wrote,
the world they hoped to change.
Skin tells secrets:
it cracks like desert ground;
it uncovers the trails of life,
telling how long you have been here.
White skin,
black skin,
brown skin...
speak loud.
And when it is covered,
it itches.

Disaster Blaster
Conquest heat master
Skin crack move faster
Doomwatch got open eyes
Perversion never lies
Disaster blaster
Disaster blaster
Creature of destruction
Laughing dead corruption
Challenge to survive
Love butcher alive
Disaster blaster
Disaster blaster
Take a journey into fear
Demon warp invasion
Thunder wheels rolling
Crush 1000 faces
Sworn to fun and loyal to none
When the beast is clever
The best it ain't over
Walk alone on borrowed time
And kiss tomorrow goodbye
Sworn to fun and loyal to none
Lost inside a human zoo
Edge of life wants you
Got a grip on the wire
But my brain don't get no higher
Disaster blaster
Disaster blaster
Leather skin move to the beat
Beastman insulated heat
Looking for a sleeping dream
Hop-head body scream
In the morning
Ready to learn
What's happening
And who's gonna burn
Get on your feet
Time to die
On the floor
Machines don't die
Stealing the world
Walking away
Poison mind
Everyday

Love Profusion
There are too many questions
There is not one solution
There is no resurrection
There is so much confusion
And the love profusion
You make me feel
You make me know
And the love vibration
You make me feel
You make it shine
There are too many options
There is no consolation
I have lost my illusions
What I want is an explanation
And the love profusion
You make me feel
You make me know
And the love direction
You make me feel
You make me shine
You make me feel
You make me shine
You make me feel
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
There is no comprehension
There is real isolation
There is so much destruction
What I want is a celebration
And I know I can feel bad
When I get in a bad mood
And the world can look so sad
Only you make me feel good
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
(Spoken:)
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
And the love profusion
You make me feel
You make me know
And the love intention
You make me feel
You make me shine
You make me feel
You make me shine
You make me feel
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
I got you under my skin
And I know I can feel bad
When I get in a bad mood
And the world can look so sad
Only you make me feel good

Damaged
Damaged spirits cloud the land with light,
Darkness is delirious and nervous are the obese,
Nasty fat clots the body, darkness has entered.
Madly the magnificent preach their darkness,
Fat exits them, obesity cancelled others, not them,
For they legally define the obnoxious secrets.
Near a nimble cloud rains another cloud so dark,
The neighbourly clouds rain forming obese children,
Their fat collects always and forever, always in their life.

Skin A Rabbit
Uncle showed you
the way to skin a rabbit.
The dead furred creature
swung from his hand.
You remember the knife
slitting open
the soft belly
and the innards
dragged out
and cut
until all was cleared
out and ready.
Then he broke
the back ankles
and pulled off the skin,
like one undressing
a small woman
from her coat of fur,
until the naked body
remained
and the fur covered
the head.
You watched
with your stomach moving
as he chopped off
the head
and with the fur covered over,
tossed it in a bag
to be disposed of later.
There’s dinner,
Uncle said,
one naked rabbit,
small and cold
and dead.

Starforsaken
Whipped in the eye by the sand
Malicious have light of day obscured
The sun has burned my skin
Open wounds are licked by sand
To be punished by this vortex of scorn
Wrists and ankles are chained upon this land
Drawn through the desert to be their sacrifice
So this is my golgatha, so this is my grave
The thieves, the liars, the hypocrit scum
Id slay them if I only could
The endless sand, the blackest land
A cyclone of spinecrushing anger
Meant for me
The overlords of the desert
Not one was meant to be
All human force now flee
Rules of anatomy lost
Rage into the extreme

Sonnet: Words Can Wound
Wounds of the flesh and of skin do occur;
Bruises and lacerations can recur;
By intervention or on own, they heal;
Wounds of the human heart are tough to deal.
But wounds that words may produce in one’s mind,
Cannot heal early, we always do find;
The boneless tongue is the reason behind;
Good or bad words costs alike and they bind.
’Tis wise always avoiding the bad word,
That can wound much more than the sharpest sword,
To cause non-healing wounds in any man;
Trouble among nations and men, they fan.
So, hesitate to use the wounding word,
To use the soothing word, men can afford.

Poetry.... (Bare Open Hand)
poetry does not pay the rent...
does not buy cars or houses,
does not sell stocks.
does not wear suits and ties,
does not barter, is not profitable,
cannot be bought or sold.
but poetry opens forbidden doors,
builds bridges in the darkness...
embraces the soul left alone.
pours balm on open wounds,
brings a mirror and the cost.
poetry asks questions that the soul whispers,
knows well the language of trees and rivers.
dances naked in the moonlight.
prays prayers we're afraid of...
poetry disarms the violent.
kisses, touches, makes love.
burns, burns, and burns....
feeds the hungry and heals the sick.
poetry sees beneath the skin,
takes off the cloak of religion,
and unleashes the spiritual.
breaks the glass, and unlocks chains.
poetry plows new ground,
and names each sacred moment.
listens, listens, and listens,
and extends a bare open hand!

Meet My Maker
This is where I'll meet my maker tonight
So this is it
This is my life
This is my time
It's ending tonight
I made my mistakes
I tried to live right
Stepped out of the darkness into the light
And when I'm gone
Will they remember
Will they mourn
Will they move on
When my sad songs for lonely son
His time has come his life is done
And tonight
We'll celebrate the end
Of this life
And we'll sing
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Whhooaa aaooohh
It's alright
this is a night like we've began
With open arms
This is the way
The way I'll meet my maker tonight
And on my grave
What will it say?
Here lies another soul that was saved
So please don't cry
Just sleep at night
And I will wait on the other side
And tonight
we'll celebrate the end
Of this life
And we'll sing
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Whooaahh ooohhh
It's alright
This is a night like we've began
With open arms
This is the way
The way I'll meet my maker tonight
And tonight
We'll celebrate the end
Of this life
And we'll sing
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Whooaaa ooohh
It's alright
This is a night like we've began
With open arms
This is the way
The way I'll meet my maker tonight
Whhoooaaa oohhh [x12]
Lost and broken, hopeless and lonely. Smilin on the outside. But hurt beneath my skin. My eyes are fadin. My soul is bleedin. Ill try to make it seem ok, but my faith is wearin' thin.
So help me heal these wounds. Leave it open for way too long. Help me fill this hole, even though this is not your fault. That Im open, and I'm bleedin, all over your brand new rug. And I need someone to help me sew them up.
I only wanted a magazine. I only wanted a movie screen. I only wanted the life I read about and dreamed. And now my mind is an open book. And now my heart is an open wound. And now my life is an open soul for all to see.
But help me heal these wounds. Leave it open for way too long. Help me fill this hole, even though this is not your fault. That I'm open, and I'm bleedin, all over your brand new rug. And I need someone to help me.

Even though this is not your fault, that I'm open, and I'm bleedin, all over your brand new rug, and I need someone to help me sew them, I need someone to help me fill them, I need someone to help me close them up.

Second Skin
The bullets deep, Im not dreaming,
The blood I keep, while youre healing.
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Second skin.
Youre riding high, you wont be falling
Dont look behind, Im crawling.
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Oh you could have been born to swim,
You could have been born to camouflage.
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Does it pull ? a ring around your finger ?
Does it hurt ? and will it linger on ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you found your second skin, second wind ?
Have you have you have you have you x5

It Is Always The Pain That Writes....
they think that
it is a little paranoia that is always on the go
for catching cold
and some words, for wishing about death
and destruction of the
self,
it is not, because pain has always been there
and no matter how you put the pesticides to kill it,
or antivirals, or antibiotics to cure the wounds,
or no matter how you try to remove it and
severe it,
with a knife or hammer
it will always be there
like your whole skin holding all your body parts
it is always there
like a world spinning holding everything
from cloud to
seaweed
to pebble to single cells
to all those molecules
and atoms,
smaller and
so minute, escaping our
further notice
we think they are gone
until they pinch us again
like the first snow flake of winter
in old London.

Another Wave of Grief (From a story in the news about a Lebanese)
When spring comes
Flowers wave along the walls
Happiness and joys come
To our deserted village
For years we wait to recover
The wounds that burn
For years we bear
The scars of destruction
Then we are near to escape
The trauma of dejection
Suddenly everything shatters
A child is blown while playing
With untested mines
Another wave of grief
Stipple our throats
We return to our past
To migrate to a shelter
Where we find wounds
Blood, cuts and burns
Mad cries we hear
Another wave of grief
Stains our history
We learn a new lesson
Of hard struggle and survival
The game of life and death
We cannot clear our memory
And still another scar
Betrays our minds
When we are near to forget
Then someone again remind us
Of the terrible past
We think people cannot bear
Our happiness and joys
They amaze themselves
By making us poor and migrant
By making us slaves and terrorists
