No Distrust
Then the eyes distrusted the other parts,
The solution was that the eyes could see,
Then ready were the ears to be sweethearts,
Tomorrow our nose desired an ability.
When sentences are made to offer new meaning,
I decide so many are given to the face,
To submit them I see how I am cleaning
My nose and eyes, and my ears in case.
Tense are the breaths we command,
To disregard the pleasure and demand.

This is my sorrow
The women of your age I train my eyes on
Remind me of you through some resemblances
And some violent contrasts now and then.
Nose studs and ear drops I see in the shops
Catch my eyes and bring to my view your face.
I imagine the stud worn on your nose
And with that how your nose would tempt my lips.
I imagine the drops hung from your ears
And with that how your ears would prompt me.
When I am lonely you are in my thought;
I dream of passing my hand through your hair
And gazing into your eyes full of love.
To bring this about, I must conquer Fate
As I accuse myself of cowardice.
I have no courage nor propriety
Even to let you know my feelings.
This is my sorrow that cripples my mind.
This is my agony underlining.

The sixth sense
Eyes are there to steer the way;
Ears are there to tell the way.
Nose to sense the danger, tongue
To select food and skin to feel heat.
I direct my eyes to see women,
Ears to hear them, nose to smell them,
Tongue to kiss them and skin to toss them.
Is it due to sixth sense or starvation?

The Most Visible Mask
you have loved the most visible mask i have
my face
everyday, this face, tomorrow this face, yesterday
this face
you are proud of my nose, and you tell all your friends about
it
aquiline, conquest of a nose, occupying almost all parts
of your territory
not even the hands but this face
the mouth that eats you
the eyes that close when
i kiss you
the tongue that maps out
what has to be found when lost
this face, the most visible mask
inside
is the real face, the face of my mind
it is thinking something else
all these years
the invisible mask is silent
tomorrow shall be the scorn
you must bear it,
you are fond of the most visible
though not really enduring.

Snorkling At Crocodile Island
you jump into the sea
with a wish
to sea the world of the fish
blue and green
and some bubbles
and slimy and slim
and slippery
to hold
you open your eyes
to the world of seaweeds
and sea urchins
you find something different now
the world where you do not utter a word
to describe
if something is beautiful
you find something's shut
up
your ears and nose and mouth
you open your eyes
to the possibility that in the world so beautiful
as inside the sea
you need not have a nose
a mouth, two ears
because beauty need not be said
they can only be
seen
and contemplated upon.

Eyes and Ears
Eyes and ears have blessings, too much for the heart,
And the passion that uncovered them was not the part.
Glancing with passion is thrilling like seeing,
An object I refer to the public-being.
As she nears, the eyes are calm in the face,
As the nose smells, the tranquillity has a place.
Eyes are seeing wonderfully well,
As too many visions work in a cell.

If I Must Die Tomorrow...
If I must die tomorrow
God, let it be for fighting discrimination
And injustice
Let it be for the love of my people
Let it be for the pride of my people
Let it be for my contributions
To Peace
And to a good and just cause
Because, because
My blood is too precious to be shed
For nonsense
And indifference
My tears are too valuable to be shed
For callousness
And divisiveness.
If I must die tomorrow
Ladies and Gentlemen
Have no sorrow
Because I am a very proud man.
If I must die tomorrow
Let it be for fighting for Freedom and Liberty
Let it be for defeating ignorance and nonsense
Let it be for injecting wisdom and intelligence
Deep inside the brain of my people
Let it be for voting first at the poll
Le it be for cursing at Oppression
Let it be for leading the blind in the right direction.
Most of us have eyes that can’t see
Most of us have nose that can’t smell
Most of us have ears that cannot hear
Neither the drums of Liberty nor the bells of Freedom.
If I must die tomorrow
God, let my last breath blends
With the autumnal winds
For the true pride of my ancestors.
Most of us have eyes that can’t see
Most of us have nose that can’t smell
Most of us have ears that cannot hear
Neither the drums of Liberty nor the bells of Freedom.
If I must die tomorrow
Ladies and Gentlemen
Have no sorrow
Because I die fighting like a proud man./

Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face
Be glad your nose is on your face,
not pasted on some other place,
for if it were where it is not,
you might dislike your nose a lot.
Imagine if your precious nose
were sandwiched in between your toes,
that clearly would not be a treat,
for you'd be forced to smell your feet.
Your nose would be a source of dread
were it attached atop your head,
it soon would drive you to despair,
forever tickled by your hair.
Within your ear, your nose would be
an absolute catastrophe,
for when you were obliged to sneeze,
your brain would rattle from the breeze.
Your nose, instead, through thick and thin,
remains between your eyes and chin,
not pasted on some other place--
be glad your nose is on your face!

Sand-Between-The-Toes
I went down to the shouting sea,
Taking Christopher down with me,
For Nurse had given us sixpence each-
And down we went to the beach.
We had sand in the eyes and the ears and the nose,
And sand in the hair, and sand-between-the-toes.
Whenever a good nor'wester blows,
Christopher is certain of
Sand-between-the-toes.
The sea was galloping grey and white;
Christopher clutched his sixpence tight;
We clambered over the humping sand-
And Christopher held my hand.
We had sand in the eyes and the ears and the nose,
And sand in the hair, and sand-between-the-toes.
Whenever a good nor'wester blows,
Christopher is certain of
Sand-between-the-toes.
There was a roaring in the sky;
The sea-gulls cried as they blew by;
We tried to talk, but had to shout-
Nobody else was out.
When we got home, we had sand in the hair,
In the eyes and the ears and everywhere;
Whenever a good nor'wester blows,
Christopher is found with
Sand-between-the-toes.

The Human Face
upon his face
the smile floats like
a gondola
on the River of
Venice
one can hear the
song of the
gondolier
the eyes of his face
are windows
opening because the
songs are
tempting
they are the eyes of
women
looking for love
the nose serves as
the only bridge
there
to connect the ears
and chin
in that atmosphere
of indifference
the princess is
the tongue
salivating

A Portrait Of Tomorrow
get the pen of the present
and take the colors of the past
use the hand that you trust
and begin making
tomorrow's portrait
have the ears of twenty years ago
try listening
if the sound is happy
put them there
and for the nose
smell the sweat of your childhood
those that play so well on the grass
and took the plunge on the clean rivers of your life
if you have that nostalgic feeling
then put that nose there
and how about the mouth and the lips
i think, if i were you
i'll take the teen age years
remembering the first kiss
and the first communion
the sound of a tight embrace
and if you like those happenings
then have those years
as your mouth and lips
and even the teeth
and now for the eyes
those that know really how to see
clearly and probingly
ponderous eyes
where wisdom is embedded
i think if i were you
take it from the present
those that see the past
as a summary
and of course the future
as a plan
specific and determined
strong and willing
and with a stroke of your
skilled hand you put the final
touches of tomorrow's portrait
you see your face and you say
you are beautiful
you caress it and tell yourself
you are lovable

Report Of An Adjudged Case
Between Nose and Eyes a strange contest arose,
The spectacles set them unhappily wrong;
The point in dispute was, as all the world knows,
To which the said spectacles ought to belong.
So the Tongue was the Lawyer and argued the cause
With a great deal of skill, and a wig full of learning,
While chief baron Ear sat to balance the laws,
So famed for his talent in nicely discerning.
In behalf of the Nose, it will quickly appear,
And your lordship, he said, will undoubtedly find,
That the Nose has had spectacles always in wear,
Which amounts to possession time out of mind.
Then holding the spectacles up to the court, -
Your lordship observes they are made with a straddle,
As wide as the ridge of the Nose is, in short,
Designed to sit close to it, just like a saddle.
Again, would your lordship a moment suppose
('Tis a case that has happened and may be again),
That the visage or countenance had not a Nose,
Pray who would or who could wear spectacles then?
On the whole it appears, and my argument shows
With a reasoning the court will never condemn,
That the spectacles plainly were made for the Nose,
And the Nose was as plainly intended for them.
Then shifting his side, as a lawyer knows how,
He pleaded again in behalf of the Eyes,
But what were his arguments few people know,
For the court did not think they were equally wise.
So his lordship decreed, with a grave solemn tone,
Decisive and clear, without on if or but, -
That whenever the Nose put his spectacles on,
By daylight or candlelight - Eyes should be shut.

Nose
No one cares for the nose
To go nose straight is the tao
If there were no eyes
You could see better with your nose
If there were no nose
you wouldnot distinguish the sweet from the bitter
And there would be no value judgements in the world
And it is the nose that keeps you hot in the cold
And that keeps you cold in Jakodabad
The nose is the vigilant customs officer
That does not allow any drug to your lungs
And the nose cannot be bribed
Oh Nose! the customs officer of the body
And the pivot of value judgement in the world
If that name thou love
Remain with us and teach the noseless world
That it must have a nose in this wartorn world
He who knows the greatness of nose
Surely goes to the realm of rose
In the life to come
Hurrah Let us compose hymns to nose

Ah, Winter!
chill breeze
blowing into
nose eyes n ears
clogged nostrils
watery eyes
choked breathing
ah, but the denuded
trees bearing
bunches of flowers
at each stem
purple orange
white yellows
feasting eyes
through a veil
of watering eyes
colors spraying
perfume forced into
blocked nostrils
chilled winds
pouring dulcet
winter notes
into dumb ears
lungs fail to draw
full cycle of breath!
ah, winter
pleasantly chilling
ah, winter...!
aaachoooooooooooo!

I Promised Myself Not To Hurt My Eyes Anymore
last night
my eyes ached a lot like they are protesters
of my negligence
overusing them
apart
from the rest of my body parts: the nose not so nosy
the ears not hearing much
and my skins not feeling well
and my mouth and tongues
merely sleeping
in their safe spaces
my eyes
keep working for days and feel as though they are the only
workers
of my body
the eyes
that begin to hate poetry and reading and seeing and watching
i promised these eyes not to hurt them again
to give them a vacation
somewhere where the trees are greener
(since they love greens)
where the skies are bluer
(since they also love sky blue)
somewhere in the beach
where
beautiful bodies entice them
and make them
excited like ordinary hormonal
creatures
but
here i am again
my eyes working again on the lines of this poem
the eyes crying
on a promise that is always broken

Tunnel Vision
I have been advised of having tunnel vision...
You know when you are near blind as a bat?
Worried and in fear-for my eyes my dear?
Nah, my nose works and i'm sure i smell a rat**! ;
Thank God for my nose and my ears...
Never mind my limited sight...
A highly developed instinct also carries me-
Through the blackest of darkest night! ;
It gives me much sought after information...
Of long ago sequesterd plans and schemes...**
I've been told that i am sixth sense old...
That my information is formed in my dreams;
So never mind my tunnel vision sweetheart-
My nose and my ears do just fine...
Coupled with the sixth sense instinct God gave to me...
For miles i can smell my enemies sign**;

Rich in minerals
Rich in firth Carry well ye martin lad
Fervent fourth
Now Fervent fifth
Forever arealm we cry
Be it ever so Voraciously alternate
We call upon your pulse
Can we stand?
Can we stare?
We can stage a runaway golfcart marathon!
Stand up
Stand up
Stand up on your heels and call
From the hills
From the hills
This may have made your eyes feel heavyY

Sense of senses
If my feeling going nauseous
I’ll breathe the rain scent that fills my nose
Rather than the cold that kills me
If my breath going lost
I’ll taste the sweet promise that kisses my tongue
Rather than the ache than hungers me
If my tongue going tied
I’ll look at the bright smile that holds my eyes
Rather than the bitter that chokes me
If my eyes going blind
I’ll listen to the gentle sound that tickles my ears
Rather than the darkness that surrounds me
If my ears going deaf
I’ll feel the warm sun that touches my skin
Rather than the silence that shrinks me

Eyes
Eyes are arriving at my senses,
Policies of hearts, kissing a management.
Ears abide in a heavenly odour,
Full of pride and ache.
My eyes burst against desire when I fall
Into a stupor, into relaxation.
The death of beautiful eyes
Bought a catcher of cats
As no mother or father could buy.
The police have words when spoken to
About the recent bravery,
About the eye and nose.

Our Eyes And Ears
Yet we revise our papers for the pleasure
Of a single marriage, the best secret.
Pleasant places and airspaces shall head
The hair of a sudden astonishing thing.
A slight comfort rewarded us when sold
To eastern eyes, the eyes were hers.
They were ears as well, ears to hide as well,
Forming our basics and finer facts, too distinct.
The pleasure of a menace retells distinction
That seem ill and forgotten, but never.
