Lost Trees
The cutting of trees is distinct for we play,
Escape routes exist to last for generations.
A growth arises in the muddy waters,
Slaves seem to decay as the land alters.
A sane person was a town for the trees,
Pavements in places sensed the crowd;
Tracks for the routes dismayed our coasts,
For travel became a lost cause, a lost religion.

Among the Trees
I wonder lost among the trees
Looking for the one my heart calls for
I wonder lost among the trees
I see your light amongst the dark
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light is brighter then the rest
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light is out of my reach
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light comes closer
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light is bright like an angel from the sky
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light fades away and leaves me alone
I wonder lost among the trees
Without a hand to guide the way
I wonder lost among the trees
Looking for my guiding light
I wonder lost among the trees
I wonder lost, alone
I wonder afraid of the world
Around me I look for the one
I wonder lost among the trees
I wonder lost and alone forever...................................

Sick of home
Sometime I get homesick for places I have never been.
I get wanderlust so badly it makes me grind my teeth till they shatter..
During the grave shift, at the shelter,
some nights, will I do nothing but look up bus and (even better) train schedules.
(Everyone knows trains are the only romantic way to travel)
I use maps and red markers to plot escape routes.
I always have a fire escape and enough bills to leave town.
8 hours spent with maps and bus schedules spread out on the floor of a locked office... plotting the great escape.
I have been homesick for Russia: (Thanks to Dostoyevsky and Akhmatovaa)
Henry Miller made me homesick for the Paris of the 40's.
I blame two things on literature:
two fatal cracks and fissures in my personality,
cracks and fissures that often manifest in 'strange' and 'inappropriate' places.
(Watch the news and tell me there is anything that can be called
'inappropriate behavior' these days....)
The two 'feet of clay' I place squarely on literature's doorstep are:
My ability to only feel at home in places where I am not,
and my Heroin addiction.
Cos every good junkie:
Heroin or travel
have their mentors.

Lost To Find My Lot
Lost in a world, that scares me to death,
Lost in a crowd I’m losing my breath,
Lost as a kid, lost as an adult
I feel everything is falling apart and its my fault
Lost as a person, cant find my way
Lost in life every day, Lost in worry
Who am I?
I’ve lived a Lie
Lost to Kindness,
Lost to Love
Lost in the sky,
Like a lonely dove
Lost in thought which I shouldn’t do
It Winds me up,
I can’t get through
Lost to comfort all kind words
Lost to advice that isn’t heard
Lost to those who really care?
All these people always there
Lost in Me, I need a break
Lost in wonder which road should I take?
Lost in a place I don’t know well
Where are you now? There’s no one to tell
Lost here all alone To break these walls
Lost in mind
Lost in soul
Lost memories, there just a hole
Lost family, lost my place
Still yet I’m full of hate
Lost in boredom think I’ll leave
There’s a lot in life I need to achieve

Lost in a Crowd
Lost in a crowd no one else
Lost in a crowd all by myself.
A lonely party, only one? Me.
A lonely party, not even three.
Lost in a crowd but there's
soemthing i see! Is it a mirror
reflecting me?
No it's another! Lost like me.
He turns around and i bet he see's!
We join together, Lost in a crowd
Were lost in a crowd, not a single frown.
Lost in a crowd.

The Flood
The water flows to any place,
Flooding the land en way;
Submerging roads, bridges and fields,
Filling the wells and lakes;
It spares no one and humans too,
Neither the beasts nor trees;
Carrying the garbage and rubbish
And the entire sewage of state;
Whole villages have been cut off;
Many have been marooned;
Shelterless and starving in the cold;
Some clutch on to pieces of wood;
And stay alive for some more time,
Afraid to lose their hold;
There’s no water to even drink;
The people are all stark-naked;
And all they see is sea-water,
No food is in sight for many miles;
Oh, what havoc, the storm has wrought
On a state so poor!
So many fishermen are lost;
And many must have died;
Perched atop trees dangerously,
Birds too have not been spared;
They have lost their nests in trees;
And eggs and young ones as well;
The rain is pouring incessantly;
None can escape its brunt;
The state is cut into ‘islets’,
With corpses, carcasses afloat;
The air is filled by malodor;
The stench unfit to breathe;
Many human lives have lost in flood,
The place is diseases-prone;
Should nature be so unkind
To human beings on earth?
Help seems to come at a snail’s speed;
Thousands were swept alive;
No one knows the numbers lost;
A pall of gloom covers;
Will the flood-waters ever recede?
Will the sun dry up the land?
Lakhs of houses have been washed off;
God help the poor victims!

If the area were on or near the U.S. continental shelf, such data could well provide an enemy with strategically invaluable insights into undersea access routes that could be used to attack some of the millions of Americans who live on or near our coasts.

This Is Just One Of Those Places
the pond is gone
what took place was a change
that replaced it with
concrete pavements
the lanzones trees totally
vanished
i can still hear the cutting
machines
shouting victory for change
what the sowed instead
are low cost houses
thriving like mushrooms
this is just one of those places
that the heart wants to remember
but who cares?
many may not have known that from
the heart of this ruined place
once bore the great writer and poetess
when once a child
she bathed in that pond
gathered ripe guavas from those trees
rested under the shade of
the mabolo tree
composed the great lines
that we still love to read till these days
of our great depression
many will not remember anymore
but once there were dwellers here
in peace and harmony with
nature and themselves
oh, all of them have gone to other places
and we who have turned to stone
have no way of finding once again their traces.

Hidden Valley Within The Bush
stepping into these lost ruins of gardens
a few fruit trees and flowers endure
where the old ghost homestead has fallen
lost in time decay life memories gone
who lived here where did their lives sped go
did their children move away to distant town
or city leaving this valley in serene dusk beauty
deer slip through bush to feed in still eternity

Choked
Trees above her, below her, to each side of her
Fog obstructing her view, where should she be?
She cannot tell what day it is any more than she can tell what time it is
Which way should she turn?
The fog swallows her feet
When she thinks she has found the right path, she sees an opening...
Then the fog swallows it
She has been misled again
...and again
......and again
She screams, she’s tired; she is choked by the fog, betrayed by the trees
Feels like she’s been here forever
Trees that don’t talk back anymore
No one is there to guide her
She is lost
The trees and fog are making her second guess every step she makes
Mocking her, humiliating her, laughing at her
At one time she thought they would lead her
Following each way the breeze decided to sway the trees
Going with the fog because where there is fog there is water
Water leads her to place she needs to be
If only the fog was not so thick
if only the trees would talk again
If....If....IF! !
If only she was not lost
The trees and the fog swallows her
Then spits her out when she is nothing more
Nothing is left
Besides a new start
God! Please help me!

My shirt is torn I’m bloodied by thorns of anger. The bushes by the narrow track
are almost covering It, I tried to fight my way trough, the maze but lost. I have to
leave this territory to its own device; it will not listen to my 3% growth rate as
they expand at will. Born free, just like the Taliban. I could have made a nice
suburban garden here, one with rules, respect for law & order with democratic
trimmed hedges, soft lawn and palm trees, palms tend to decorate resorts, they
lend dignity to places that charge a lot of money so city dwellers can enjoy tame
nature with their Martinis. Palm trees have good genes, perfect education, Eton,
the rest of us are trained apes, we pick the coco nuts stand in awe, we admire
our exploiters. I walk in our town’s park now, gardeners keep, it trim, it’s as lovely
as unwritten postcards bought at a tourist route that has a growth rate of 3 %.

Lost in nature
Today
I'm sitting here in the Nature
and i'm
lost in its beauty
and in its silence
and in the serenity
and in its simplicity.
.
I'm
lost in the winter chilling breeze
lost in its swiftness
.
lost in the twirling mountains
lost in its unimaginable heights
.
lost in the blue oceans
lost in its fatal depth
.
lost in the moving birds
lost in the freedom they share
.
lost in the drowning fishes
lost in their unique quality of surviving underwater
.
lost in the blessed trees
lost in their old ages
.
lost in the serenity
lost in the search of my lord my saviour.
.
I don't know which way i'm going and where will it lead
but the way which goes through nature will definitely not make me bleed
i'm lost and i want to be lost in nature
cause its leading to
'THE INNER ME'.

The Old Men Admiring Themselves In The Water
I HEARD the old, old men say,
'Everything alters,
And one by one we drop away.'
They had hands like claws, and their knees
Were twisted like the old thorn-trees
By the waters.
I heard the old, old men say,
'All that's beautiful drifts away
Like the waters.'

Rainforest
(Sonnet To Tree Lovers)
How beautiful this place, we named “Cedar Haven”
Nestled in the foothills, on west slope of Mt Hood
A place inhabited by bear, deer, coyote and raven
A place where stands of old growth fir once stood
Should rain, wind or flood, dare come our way
Towering cedar trees surround, protect this land
Silent giants shade below, as happy children play
Come and gone, a hundred generations spanned
Rainforest undisturbed, forever does renew
Contributing to Earth’s health and balance
Reaching for the Sun, through skies of blue
Filters air we breathe, then oxygen enhanced
Protect forest land; take not trees for granted
Rewards abound for every seedling planted

With precision
All established facts and routes
Carry the name and bear the fruits
Nothing is lost except old civilization
Yet to be remembered for its great organization
We live in new world with precision
To come near is our decision
To preserve rich heritage is blessed with provision
To look back with wisdom and good vision
Who will take care and preserve records?
Research on each and every decoded word
We have to live by and adhere to old spirit
We are proud of ancient land under our feet
It must have ancient roots with authenticity
Many might have been lost tail with coming up of new cities
Yet excavations bring so many startling revelations
It is healthy sign and good indication
We can build from stretch and rewrite history
It should not seem imaginary story
It has to be backed by scientific research
We will then only be able to find more on search
Some of the historic sites are just an example
They have been able to withstand and capable
Any decay that was to be caused by weather
Rest were possible by human efforts to wither

Muddy Mississippi
Chorus:
I can hardly see my face in the waters of the muddy mississippi
But I can see the shadows of the cotton wood standing over me
The morning sun would find me
Swinging from the rope thats hanging free
And I drop in to the waters
And go swimming in the muddy mississippi
A boy came to the delta
And we would swing together from that tree
I could see my dreams in his eyes
As he held on to me
Swinging in the sunlight
Loving in the shadows
Wild and free
And I made him promise he would take me
Down to new orleans
Bright lights of the city made my red dress and shoes look brand new
While he worked the night shift
I turned on and I turned loose
I lost my pride I lost my man
I did things a girl like me shouldnt do
Now I cant face this living
With the swelling signs of new life
Showing through
I can hardly see my face in the waters of the muddy mississippi
But I can see the shadows of the cotton wood standing over me
The morning sun would find me
Hanging from the rope thats swinging free
And Ill swing for the last time over the waters
Of the muddy mississippi
Yeah the muddy mississippi

Pavements
there are traces on the pavements
there are eyes on the pavements
sadly looking at us
pavements are like history on strata and decaying leaves
there are booksful of words on the pavements
on the pavements
there are faces
ı haVE BEEN ACquı Nted with
looking at me lonely and sadly
the pavements look as they have come from above
and constructed there
on the pavements
there are many memories carved
there are lonely traces on the pavements
there are eyes on the pavements
we tread on
ı have acquinted with... faces look at me sadly and lonely
the pavements must have drunk from various waters
from many sourCes and fountains
who guesses who passed and gone on this pavements?
there are traces on the pavements
there are faces on the pavements
looking at me..lonely and sadly
when ı walk
and stroll on them lonely and slowly and slowly

If you want to drive a big limousine
Ill buy the longest one youve ever seen
Ill buy you tall, tall trees
On all the waters and the seas
Im a fool, fool, fool for you
If you want to own a great big mansion
Well Ill give it my utmost attention
Ill buy you tall, tall trees
On all the waters and the seas
Im a fool, fool, fool for you
Well Im a fool, a fool for you
(it may take awhile, but Ill prove its true
Well if its lovin you want, then Ive got it
If its money you want, then Ill get it

Song of the woods
For a time the birds
and the trees
and animals dwelt in me,
but then came man.
Axes and saws
started to chop and bite
and as trees fell,
there wasn’t a place
safe for animals to be.
Time swept past
and man’s machines
started to carve
right trough trees.
Trees fell faster
than any could grow
and the climate was altered
by man and his machines.
Lost was the air
that had risen from me
and the forest rain dwindled
and a scorching sun
started to batter me.
The world of old is lost
and most of the trees are gone
and clouds of pollution
blankets the world.
