It Comes Secondhand
Hills are around for all the mind,
Lull him the scarecrow so he flies,
And whether he loved or hated,
The hills are existing due to bad health
As wealth became boring, and the
Mountains are creeping in to subdue.
Mountains are made of stone, just grey
Foam, the very foam of the sea that has circuits
On us at night or at the shore,
This is where catching thieves of sudden nature
Comes secondhand.

Then There Are The Mountains
On a mountain's peak is there peace?
Mountains that overlook the quiet prairie.
Mountains that borders life in rural counties.
Mountains chiseled by years of wind and rain.
Mountain winds creep keeping all secrets.
Mountains a kin to the lower hills of death.
Mountains at the height of glamour baked in sunshine.
Mountains that reach for more majestic planes.
Mountains giving to the ridges, valleys and cliffs.
Mountains in spring the fulfillment of adventure and dream.
Mountains which can shelter one from storm.
Mountains an enduring symbol in poetry.
Mountains which inhabit the calls of the wild.
Mountains of spectacle, below the bending roads between.
Mountains embracing, magnifying the sounds of river.

Theres Gold In The Mountains
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
There are lots of girls in the mountains
And theyre worth their weight in gold
When theyre in my arms with their lovin charms
A treasure chest I hold
Well theres gold in the mountains, love in the hills
I dont need no city women with their diamonds and frills
Theres gold in the mountains and oh what scenery
The prettiest girls I ever did see
Theres such beauty there in the mountains
You can feel your knees growin weak
Every single boy feels the height of joy
When he climbs that mountain peak
Well theres gold in the mountains, love in the hills
I dont need no city women with their diamonds and frills
Theres gold in the mountains and oh what scenery
The prettiest girls I ever did see
I said theres gold in the mountains, love in the hills
I dont need no city women with their diamonds and frills
Theres gold in the mountains and oh what scenery
The prettiest girls I ever did see
I ever did see
I ever did see

Do you want to hear the hills groan
Do you want to hear the hills groan?
Have a walk along the uphill and downhill road
That zigzags around one hill and thenanother
Till it reaches you to an altitude of 11000 feet
All along the way you will see
The forest cover of the hills are being torn off
The stony bones of the hills are being hit hard by dynamite
And any one who has ears can hear the mountains
Writhing in silent pain
The p ilgrim walking along the winding road
Which mounts to the shrine of Lord Siva
Doesnot know that gods have taken flight
From hills and dales
Nature is being made a parking place
For pleasurehunting cars
They have not only made the tigers and the pythons homeless
They have made the gods flee
Hence out of the day and night
Ajoy has taken flight
With the surging pleasure seeking of man
And the diabolic brain of the scientists

Fields of Soria
Hills of silver plate,
grey heights, dark red rocks
through which the Duero bends
its crossbow arc
round Soria, shadowed oaks,
stone dry-lands, naked mountains,
white roads and river poplars,
twilights of Soria, warlike and mystical,
today I feel, for you,
in my hearts depths, sadness,
sadness of love! Fields of Soria,
where it seems the stones have dreams,
you go with me! Hills of silver plate,
grey heights, dark red rocks.

The Unnamed Lake
It sleeps among the thousand hills
Where no man ever trod,
And only nature's music fills
The silences of God.
Great mountains tower above its shore,
Green rushes fringe its brim,
And over its breast for evermore
The wanton breezes skim.
Dark clouds that intercept the sun
Go there in Spring to weep,
And there, when Autumn days are done.
White mists lie down to sleep.
Sunrise and sunset crown with gold
The pinks of ageless stone,
Her winds have thundered from of old -
And storms have set their throne.
No echoes of the world afar
Disturb it night or day,
The sun and shadow, moon and star
Pass and repass for aye.
'Twas in the grey of early dawn,
When first the lake we spied,
And fragments of a cloud were drawn
Half down the mountain side.
Along the shore a heron flew,
And from a speck on high,
That hovered in the deepening blue,
We heard the fish-hawk's cry.
Among the cloud-capt solitudes,
No sound the silence broke,
Save when, in whispers down the woods,
The guardian mountains spoke.
Through tangled brush and dewy brake,
Returning whence we came,
We passed in silence, and the lake
We left without a name.

Gold In Them Hills
I know it doesn't seem that way
But maybe it's the perfect day
Even though the bills are piling
And maybe Lady Luck ain't smiling
But if we'd only open our eyes
We'd see the blessings in disguise
That all the rain clouds are fountains
Though our troubles seem like mountains
There's gold in them hills
There's gold in them hills
So don't lose heart
Give the day a chance to start
Every now and then life says
Where do you think you're going so fast
We're apt to think it cruel but sometimes
It's a case of cruel to be kind
And if we'd get up off our knees
Why then we'd see the forest for the trees
And we'd see the new sun rising
Over the hills on the horizon
There's gold in them hills
There's gold in them hills
So don't lose faith
Give the world a chance to say...
A word or two, my friend
There's no telling how the day might end
And we'll never know until we see
That there's gold in them hills
There's gold in them hills
So don't lose heart
Give the day a chance to start
There's gold in them hills...
There's gold in them hills...

Ageing
All the hills I used to climb
seem like mountains now.
Younger legs and bodies
with wild abandon did allow
all the best that comes with youth
to make me feel alive.
Makes me wonder where I am
and how did I survive?
Good old time takes its toll
in many different ways.
We wake up early just like kids
then plod slowly through our days.
But watching the energy kids display
brings back your own sweet youth
when you were climbing hills like them.
Still, the youth don't know the truth.
That age will come upon them
if they're the lucky ones
to see the mountains before them
after so many rising suns.

The Water Ouzel
Little brown surf-bather of the mountains!
Spirit of foam, lover of cataracts, shaking your wings in falling waters!
Have you no fear of the roar and rush when Nevada plunges --
Nevada, the shapely dancer, feeling her way with slim white fingers?
How dare you dash at Yosemite the mighty --
Tall, white limbed Yosemite, leaping down, down over the cliff?
Is it not enough to lean on the blue air of mountains?
Is it not enough to rest with your mate at timberline, in bushes that hug
the rocks?
Must you fly through mad waters where the heaped-up granite breaks them?
Must you batter your wings in the torrent?
Must you plunge for life and death through the foam?

Joyride
i want to take a ride
on the long and winding road of life
travel on his stony path
never mind the problems
i do not treat them as stubling blocks
for me they are he stepping stones
to become better and so i ride
on bridges..oh sometimes i think
why some people create walls instead of bridges
bridges connect walls separate
yet on my journey there are so many
walls more than bridges maybe
these are some reasons why people sometimes harbor hathred
yeah i want to take a ride
to the mountains and hills of life
even sometimes problems that come
are not like hills but mountains
yet mountains and hills can be climb
if you are patient enough
let my travel floats me
on the vast ocean of eternity
over seas, and drifting continents of experience
i just want to be there forever free
to taste the salty water or the swim
against the currents for it is better
to go against for a purpose than to just
follow where the water flows but
lost your inividuality
or to throw away your dignity
let me take this joy ride
let me not gather moss in a hideaway
let me just be me
as i travel from here to eternity
where i will take refuge
and the terminal awaits me
and i will rest to begin another journey
a journey that nevee ends
where our loving Father caress me

Invading The Hills
The hill men shied from us,
As natives they worked far too hard,
Lax and unbearable, solid and concrete,
The hills and mountains were their home.
And their entrance was an exit,
And the huts made passes at us.
Only one on the sloping ground caressed
The joyous images of my own,
The hills were sounding like war and carnage,
A shrine had collapsed from the head,
The chiefs swore their allegiance to us afterwards.

The Emigrant's Farewell
Our native land - our native vale -
A long and last adieu!
Farewell to bonny Teviotdale,
And Cheviot mountains blue.
Farewell, ye hills of glorious deeds,
And streams renown'd in sing -
Farewell ye braes and blossom'd meads,
Our hearts have lov'd so long.
Farewell, the blythesome broomy knowes,
Where thyme and harebells grow -
Farewell, the hoary, haunted howes,
O'erhung with birk and sloe.
The mossy cave and mouldering tower
That skirt our native dell -
The martyr's grave, and lover's bower,
We bid a sad farewell!
Home of our love! our fathers' home!
Land of the brave and free!
The sail is flapping on the foam
That bears us far from thee.
We seek a wild and distant shore,
Beyond the western main -
We leave thee to return no more,
Nor view thy cliffs again!
Our native land - our native vale -
A long and last adieu!
Farewell to bonny Teviotdale,
And Scotland's mountains blue!

A Ballad Maker
ONCE I loved a maiden fair,
Over the hills and jar away,
Lands she had and lovers to spare,
Over the hills and far away.
And I was stooped and troubled sore,
And my face was pale, and the coat I wore
Was thin as my supper the night before
Over the hills and far away.
Once I passed in the Autumn late,
Over the hills and jar away,
Her bawn and barn and painted gate,
Over the hills and jar away.
She was leaning there in the twilight space,
Sweet sorrow was on her fair young face,
And her wistful eyes were away from the place,
Over the hills and jar away.
Maybe she thought as she watched me come,
Over the hills and jar away,
With my awkward stride and my face so glum,
Over the hills and jar away.
Spite of his stoop, he still is young,
They say he goes the Shee among,
Ballads he makes; I've heard them sung
Over the hills and jar away.
She gave me good-night in gentle wise,
Over the hills and jar away,
Shyly lifting to mine, dark eyes,
Over the hills and jar away.
What could I do but stop and speak,
And she no longer proud, but meek?
She plucked me a rose like her wild-rose cheek-
Over the hills and jar away.
To-morrow Mavourneen a sleeveen weds,
Over the hills and jar away,
With corn in haggard and cattle in sheds,
Over the hills and jar away.
And I who have lost her, the dear, the rare-
Well, I got me this ballad to sing at the fair,
Twill bring enough money to drown my care,
Over the hills and jar away.

Twin mounts grew to hills,
Thanks to lover’s hand.

Bohol, Land Of Chocolate Hills
Bohol, land of chololate hills
Melvin Banggollay
B-OHOL, Land of the famous chocolate hills
Cradles the smallest primate ever to exist,
The world renown Philippines tarsiers
That loves to cling upon ruboust small trees
As they stare with their round eyes so big.
O-ver its verdant valleys, I have seen many hills
With wonderful scenery sharing nature's gifts
As they speak to us geographical mysteries
And nature's wonder with the beautiful hills
Scattered around with their perfect cone shapes.
H-eaven I behold when I reach the famous hills
and extend my eye upon the horizon of the hills
For I have seen nature's captivating scenery
of cone shape hills that radiates God's mysteries
And his artistic inclination when he made all these.
O-ver the sky, birds from the heaven fly with glee
As they sing with song of praises as they are free
To soar upon the blue sky as they enjoy the scenery
With a promise that they will never destroy the beauty
Of this abode and sanctuary of nature's tapestry.
L-ove our land and never rape its wealth and beauty
But be stewards of God in protecting all its scenery
with all it creation upon its wide verdant valleys
Like the birds, the tarsiers and other wildlife sanctuary
For our children children to behold these someday

The Other Half
Over the hills, lies a new beginning
Over the hills
Over the hills, there is a way I know it
Over the hills
You can't bring all the gloom
Your heart is frayed and so empty
You glorify the future
Living in a different world than me
The journey ends in death
You are giving up so easily
You are the other half of me
Over the hills [4x]
We are drifting apart
Chilled to the marrow, cause you don't want to go
Cause we've got a different wish at heart
The amulet guides us to the other side
When I go down it's you who'll bleed
I'm not scared to die, as long as I'm with you
You are the other half of me
Over the hills, lies a new beginning
Over the hills
Over the hills, there's a way I know it
Over the hills

One Malaysia, One World
i say friend, look at the malay face
look at as many as possible
a wave of emotions
spilling from the mountains
and hills all over
so well blended they are
the real one malaysia brand
my friend, read through the malay scripts
a rain of tongues start falling from
mountains, hills, rivers, and shores
sanskrit, english, portuguese, germans
arabic, they inch their way from
some remotest part of history and world
they dance like the rarest form of dance
on the corridors of thoughts
a world language quietly taking root

Over The Hills
The old hound wags his shaggy tail,
And I know what he would say:
It's over the hills we'll bound, old hound,
Over the hills, and away.
There's nought for us here save to count the clock,
And hang the head all day:
But over the hills we'll bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.
Here among men we're like the deer
That yonder is our prey:
So, over the hills we'll bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.
The hypocrite is master here,
But he's the cock of clay:
So, over the hills we'll bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.
The women, they shall sigh and smile,
And madden whom they may:
It's over the hills we'll bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.
Let silly lads in couples run
To pleasure, a wicked fay:
'Tis ours on the heather to bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.
The torrent glints under the rowan red,
And shakes the bracken spray:
What joy on the heather to bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.
The sun bursts broad, and the heathery bed
Is purple, and orange, and gray:
Away, and away, we'll bound, old hound,
Over the hills and away.

Mountains
Once upon a time in a land called fantasy
17 mountains stood so high.
The sea surrounded them and together they would be
The only thing that ever made u cry
U said the devil told u that another mountain would appear
Everytime somebody broke your heart
He said the sea would 1 day overflow with all your tears,
And love will always leave u lonely
But I say its only mountains and the sea
Love will conquer if u just believe (oh yeah)
Its only mountains and the sea
Theres nothing greater, u and me
Once upon a time in a haystack of despair,
Happiness sometimes hard 2 find. (yeah)
Africa divided, hijack in the air,
Its enough to make you want to lose your mind
But I say its only mountains and the sea
Love will conquer if u just believe (oh yeah)
Its only mountains and the sea
Theres nothing greater, u and me
Guitars and drums on the 1
(bobby on the drum - ah!)
Its only mountains (oh yeah) and the sea. (and the girls sing)
Theres nothing greater, u and me
[starvation]

Hills of the Planet
May hills form from illness of the planet,
Erosion of landforms make them of the planet.
Exposure to the elements will kill your substance,
May hills find fault with you and condemn the planet.
May winter know the rock of the Earth,
Whilst roundness of the hill is like a diadem of the planet.
Expose the hills to torture of the weather
By constructing mountains with a gem called the planet.
My hill is grand and openly small as well,
I live it and my house and my family and my poem that is the planet.
