A Bastion Of Knowledge

National universities are called several men,
Wars include their earliness, wars of duty;
Born against them, a fetching knowledge is provided
To improve the ethereal planes, and material plains.

This felicity evokes pity, for they have forbearance,
And these bastions of intellectual learning strive hard.
Until the days of food have closed, we spend in the ways
Of education, seconds are wasted but exams are good.

A Good Education Need Of The Hour!

Education decides about the future life and work for all;
Education only helps to develop one’s life and work here.
Mere education is not passport to get job but it’s for life;
Mere education helps not to face life situation or crisis;
Common sense, presence of mind, general knowledge do!

For everything education is the base in the modern world;
Education is for freedom, development and fulfilment in life;
Education helps intellectual mind to acquire true knowledge.
Knowledge only can give power, freedom and satisfaction;
Knowledge of love, truth gives freedom to attain perfection.

Dharma is justice to live righteous life according to one’s nature;
Religion is to say about truth of God, dharma and culture to all;
Education is to help develop one’s capacity with apt knowledge
To express talent using ideas of knowledge in duty to do things
Beneficial to oneself, society to achieve joyful fulfilment in life!

Now education does not serve such purpose but crams knowledge
Incomplete just to do specialised jobs only for material benefits.
Complete knowledge makes link of science, literature and culture;
This could satisfy body, mind, heart and soul to achieve completion;
Love and knowledge make perfect to attain joy, peace, satisfaction!

World’s Clarion Call: Stop All Wars; Love Your Brethren!

Wars spread terror;
Wars cause horror;
Wars kill persons;
Wars maim people;
Wars pollute air;
Wars contaminate soil;
Wars destroy buildings;
Wars ravage cities;
Wars ruin countries;
Wars cause hatred;
Wars are expensive;
Wars escalate prices;
Wars create enemies;
Wars generate ill-will;
Wars instill mistrust;
Wars make the poor, poorer;
Wars make the world,
A difficult place to live in;
Don’t waste money on futile wars.

Love settles conflicts;
Love gets friends;
Love converts foes;
Love leads to dialogue;
Love spreads brotherhood;
Love brings lasting peace;
Love leads to progress;
Love is all-encompassing;
Love is the key to human problems;
Love rules the universe;
Love leads to heaven;
Stop the wars and love your brethren;
Science should improve man’s plight;
Unite against human calamities;
Fight diseases, poverty, and illiteracy;
Leaders should give up their ego;
The world should be free of fear;
Peaceful co-existence should bring all near;
Make the earth more habitable for all.
This is the world’s clarion call!

Common Sense (Truth)

wars are started by men
with agendas... usually profit,
or religious reasons, or both.
the men that start these wars
seldom fight these wars...
they manipulate the masses to
do their dirty work...
these are the elite people that
control our world. their weapons
for control include:
1. poverty
2. ignorance
3. prejudice
4. religion.

if you keep the people struggling
for food and shelter, they wont have
time to stand against you.
if you keep the people ignorant, they
will blindly follow without questioning.
if you divide the people by prejudice,
they will not unite to overthrow.
if you convince them that theirs is
the only true religion, and that God
is on their side, they will commit
unspeakable acts.

the time of wars is over... there can be
no future if we continue.
we must quit chasing riches, and find a
more equitable way to share what we have.
we must be responsible for each other...
we must lay down religious pretensions,
fears, and pride, and become the spiritual
people we are called to be.
we must be human!

NSA Policy Is Wars Protecting

reality in the world
political situation
is changing interesting
but sadly disappointing

welcome home realities
National Security Agency
can employ an extra ten
thousand new recruits sparkling

per year of operation
in a post 9/11 recruit world
ten thousand dedicated to spying
no policy warrant taps required

ten thousand new spying lying
within invasive codes secrecy
but hire a single guru of peace?
no profit policy is wars protecting

NSA numbered legal exemptions
from law requirements disturbing
time safeguarding oil wars spending
business profits from wars protecting

if we would spend as much on peace
if we would spend as much on peace
as we do in vast sums totaled on wars
we would be a happy little planet stunning

Education

How hard it is,
To learn and write,
To prepare and fight,
The evil exams!
The book so thick
Studying it makes us feel sick,
Everything comes to an end
But, why not education?
They say learning is like a sinking star
But to us, studying
Is always like a war..
Now, here we are hating and cursing
But still not losing
Cause of our value education…
It is double valuable
If we give it as Dedication,
Think of many who has not seen books
Who has always been in hooks
Of illiteracy,
But here we are able but still
In aliteracy,
Learn and help to learn,
Give a child the gift of education
And let it be your recreation…
Let the light of knowledge glow all way,
And let’s join hands
In making illiteracy blow away…

'Learn and let learn'

Without Death, Bloodshed and Suffering

Without death, bloodshed and suffering wars are never won
And only hatred and grief survives when the fighting is done
And war heroes honoured in every war street parade
By war men the memories of war not allowed for to fade
The politicians the praises of the war dead do sing
Their politicizing of war for sake of power not an honourable thing
For God, Flag and Country and National Pride
Far too many good young people in wars have died
one war leads to another war as the wise one did say
And millions for patriotism in wars with their lives do pay
For the sake of war the war men create us against they
And for the love of a flag the young and brave die in wars today
And on Rememberance Day the war men parade up and down
In a show of patriotism through the streets of the town.

War and Peace

Wars cannot give a lasting peace;
Wars cause much hatred and ill-will;
Wars are futile and costly too;
Wars break existing peace with ease!

Wars cause deep wounds of hearts and minds
–That can’t be healed except by time;
Wars lead to loss of lives untold
–That cannot be ever regained.

Wars serve to foment more troubles;
Wars make the world more insecure;
Wars shift the balance of powers;
Wars do not solve the world’s problems.

Love only solves great differences;
Love only bonds the earth’s peoples;
Love only brings peace with much ease;
Love is the key to global peace.

The World Needs Peace, Not Through Wars!

What loss of lives and destruction!
Can lives all lost ever return?
How many more will have to die?
Can one man’s death bring back lives lost?
What pollution, a war can add!

Let Cats who declare wars on mice,
Take the blame and pay the price!
War is a gambling game like dice;
War is a futile exercise.

One cannot fight wars with mere knives;
War is a waste of human lives;
Alas, will nations realize
That keeping peace is always wise?

Wars can begin without a cause;
The world can’t have a single boss!
One nation can’t stifle the rest,
Or try to be always the best.

The world body must give OK!
The world must say to wars, all ‘nay’;
For lasting peace, war isn’t the way!
The cost of wars, who will repay?

The world must find out other ways,
Avoiding wars in future days;
Each nation must unmask its face,
And set on peace, its gaze always!

Sonnet: Misuse of Power

Oh, how power is misused in this world!
To subjugate the weaker-willed of men;
How power corrupts most men manifold!
Making men slaves; gain wealth, subdue the pen.

Power suppresses the poorer nations,
Kicking them off the arms-race forever;
Power wins all wars and decrees sanctions,
Steals money/ land/ food in ways cleverer

Power can win the hearts of beauteous dames,
By threatening punishment in dire ways;
Separating friends/it can win most games,
And bring wars to end within fewer days

Power rules, yet misrules men in this world,
And can bring anyone into its fold.

Aiming For A Better World...

If we don't try to make the world a better place
Then it will become a bitter place...
A wasteland of broken hearts and broken dreams...
A void in space, a place to avoid...
If we didn't want the world to improve
Then why would we send our children to school
To pass exams for a future career?

If we want the best for our children
Then shouldn't we want the best for ourselves?
Yet Jesus once prophesied of plagues, famines and wars
And rumours of wars in the end times...
Does that mean there's no escape?

Shouldn't we at least try to reduce the number of plagues?
Shouldn't we at least try to reduce the number of those starving souls?
Shouldn't we at least try to reduce the number of wars?
We ought to pray for peace and be peacemakers...
We ought to feed the starving... but do we?
How come there are millions spent on trying to go to Mars?
How come we don't help those on Earth first?

Where are our priorities, our scruples, our sense of justice and injustice?
Where's our full portion of love, compassion, everyday kindness?
Are we too old to learn old tricks rather than the new?
The old ways were based on the fulness of a community spirit
That reached out with the arms of Christ to one and all...

Is that fellowship dead and gone with the old prayer books
And Church services of yester-year?
Or does love live on by the example of faithful friends of Christ?
God knows what we ought to be doing... Do we?
And if we don't, are we willing to ask? To find out? To sacrifice?
Somehow I cant help wondering if anyone knows what love is any more...

Front Line Credo (Reflections Of A Soldier)

I'm here as a matter of choice - not drafted as some are.
Someone the Government employs, transported oh so far.
I'm trained to be the very best a soldier's meant to be.
This is no drill, this is no test, this is no strategy.
This time it's real, no turning back. The way ahead's unclear.
To some, the future's looking black. That's why I'm standing here.
To make a difference, turn the tide, succeed if fate gives grace.
So when our hopes have been applied, a better world takes place.
I'm here till orders have been sent, perhaps when things improve.
When there's proof of peaceful intent that means it's right to move.
Who knows if wars will ever cease? Or if Mankind unites?
What use is life if wars increase through bickering and fights?
Until the day when 'Peace is King', Man rides the learning curve.
Praying, hoping and wondering how best to bless the Earth...
The world awaits a better day, like angels up above:
A higher duty to obey that God reveals as LOVE...

Another Day

Every day that goes by
A new hungry baby starts to cry
Born astride a painful grave
Drowned in hungers tidal wave
Pick a child that you can save
Itd be the only one
If africa escapes starvation
Not only food but education
The desert grows with every minute
Trapping everybody in it
All the children look the same
They wonder why they came
But its hard to tell the poison from the cure
Its harder still to know the reason why, why, why
The only thing I really know for sure
Is that another day, another days gone by
Every day that goes by
A brand new missile points towards the sky
Were survivors of a game of chance
Beneath an arms race avalanche
If you survive this winters cold
Youd be the only one
If we escape annihilation
Not only hope but education
The world is ruled by bellophiles
Adding to their weapon piles
Imagine what your taxes buy
We hardly ever try
But its hard to tell the poison from the cure
Its harder still to know the reason why, why, why
The only thing I really know for sure
Is that another day, another days gone by, bye,bye
That this too solid flesh
Would melt and resolve into a dew
Suffocating lassitude
Drowning in my platitude
Trapped by insecurities
Im not the only one
If I survive this dislocation
Have to use my education
Chief of inactivity
Wasted creativity
Distances our revolution
Silence is consent
But its hard to tell the poison from the cure
Its harder still to know the reason why, why, why
The only thing I really know for sure
Is that another day, another days gone by

Sonnet: On Modern Man

Man's mind is inquisitive to explore,
And find new truths about his Environment;
His Intellect is inventive to core;
Unraveling answers to impediments.

Man's ideas makes him to do newer things;
And discover new ways of doing them;
With luxury, new vices too life brings;
He works lesser but keeps the diadem.

Few innovate to help Mankind improve;
Why can't men do good deeds in improved ways?
Man's mind works in a materialistic groove;
He lazily spends all his precious days.

Man looks for God in outer Space and Stars;
Man ushers Peace 'midst nations by new wars.

For To Celebrate War

For to celebrate war there's always one more parade
And out of war warriors heroes are made
Only the good die young some are known to say
But I know good people who are old and gray.

The praises of war leaders many may sing
But those who declare war on others do it as a power thing
Though many with my thinking may not agree
Those who declare war on terror are major terrorists to me.

Millions of human beings through the centuries in wars have suffered and died
And wars through the ages have been fought Worldwide
And still we have wars and talks of more wars today
Of our human capacity to learn from past mistakes of us what does this say?

It can lead to acts of aggression patriotic pride
And religion, nationalism, patriotism and racism are the things that divide
People of all Nations who live everywhere
And over them more wars are fought in the big World out there.
