Oops

“oh, it was an accident
i didn’t mean to hurt you”
how many times have i heard that…
i can’t count
too many
and i think
yeah, right
you’re not sorry
and never will be
you’ll always leave me hanging
on that single thread
hanging onto one hope
you’re not sorry
and never will be
screaming through my window
you’re not sorry
and now my words pay you back…
oops, it was an accident
i didn’t mean to hurt you
and laughing out into the darkness
send a dove-
no, you’re not worthy of a dove-
a pigeon?
a crow?
a vulture?
perfect, a vulture
send a vulture
to take a whisper to you
of how much i’m hurting
maybe that will teach you
give you a taste of yourself
and i’m disgusted
again and again
again and again and again
again and again and again and again…
oops

Vulture Culture

Lenny zakatek - lead vocal
Somehow you made it in the big wide world
And youre absolutely home and dry
You got away from a one horse town
And the only way out was to fly
You heard a lot about an easy street
And it seems like the place to be
You heard some talk about a slippery slope
But you think it cant happen to me
Vulture culture
Use it or you lose it
Vulture culture
Choose it or refuse it
Hollywood is calling wont you join the dance
Moving onto wall street why not take a chance
Its a vulture culture
Never lend a loser a hand
Just a vulture culture
Living off the fat of the land
Nowhere to turn around and catch your breath
Its all relatively trouble free
No need to bother with the bottom line
Or a money back guarantee
You sign a deal thats been etched in stone
Its absolutely cut and dry
Thats when they got you in the danger zone
And the only way out is to die
Vulture culture
Use it or you lose it
Vulture culture
Choose it or refuse it
Hollywood is waiting striking up the band
Everyone on wall street shakes you by the hand
Such a vulture culture
Never lend a loser a hand
Just a vulture culture
Living off the fat of the land
Use it or you lose it
Choose it or refuse it
Hollywoods a no go not a second chance
Nobody on wall street gives a second glance
Its a vulture culture
Moving to the beat of the band
Its a vulture culture
Never lend a loser a hand
Its just a vulture culture
Living off the fat of the land

Forgive Me

Forgive Me"
Can you forgive me again?
I don't know what I said
But I didn't mean to hurt you
I heard the words come out
I felt like I would die
It hurt so much to hurt you
Then you look at me
You're not shouting anymore
You're silently broken
I'd give anything now
to keep those words from you
Each time I say something I regret I cry "I don't want to lose you."
But somehow I know that you will never leave me, yeah.
'Cause you were made for me
Somehow I'll make you see
How happy you make me
I can't live this life
Without you by my side
I need you to survive
So stay with me
You look in my eyes and I'm screaming inside that I'm sorry.
And you forgive me again
You're my one true friend
And I never meant to hurt you

The Vulture and the Husbandman

By Louisa CarolineN.B. -- A Vulture is a rapacious and obscene bird, whichdestroys its prey by plucking it limb from limb with its powerfulbeak and talons.A Husbandman is a man in a low position of life, who supportshimself by the use of the plough. -- (Johnson's Dictionary).
The rain was raining cheerfully,
As if it had been May;
The Senate-House appeared inside
Unusually gay;
And this was strange, because it was
A Viva-voce day.
The men were sitting sulkily,
Their paper work was done;
They wanted much to go away
To ride or row or run;
"It's very rude," they said, "to keep
Us here, and spoil our fun."

The papers they had finished lay
In piles of blue and white.
They answered every thing they could,
And wrote with all their might,
But, though they wrote it all by rote,
They did not write it right.

The Vulture and the Husbandman
Beside these piles did stand,
They wept like anything to see
The work they had in hand.
"If this were only finished up,"
Said they, "it would be grand!"

"If seven D's or seven C's
We give to all the crowd,
Do you suppose," the Vulture said,
"That we could get them ploughed?"
"I think so," said the Husbandman,
"But pray don't talk so loud."

"O undergraduates, come up,"
The Vulture did beseech,
"And let us see if you can learn
As well as we can teach;
We cannot do with more than two
To have a word with each."

Two Undergraduates came up,
And slowly took a seat,
They knit their brows, and bit their thumbs,
As if they found them sweet,
And this was odd, because you know
Thumbs are not good to eat.

"The time has come," the Vulture said,
"To talk of many things,
Of Accidence and Adjectives,
And names of Jewish kings,
How many notes a sackbut has,
And whether shawms have strings."

"Please, Sir," the Undergraduates said,
Turning a little blue,
"We did not know that was the sort
Of thing we had to do."
"We thank you much," the Vulture said,
"Send up another two."

Two more came up, and then two more,
And more, and more and more;
And some looked upwards at the roof,
Some down upon the floor,
But none were any wiser than
The pair that went before.

"I weep for you," the Vulture said,
"I deeply sympathise!"
With sobs and tears he gave them all
D's of the largest size,
While at the Husbandman he winked
One of his streaming eyes.

"I think," observed the Husbandman,
"We're getting on too quick.
Are we not putting down the D's
A little bit too thick?"
The Vulture said with much disgust
"Their answers make me sick."

"Now, Undergraduates," he cried,
Our fun is nearly done,
"Will anybody else come up?"
But answer came there none;
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd ploughed them every one!

The Confused Birds

Sometimes things happen the way you don't want them to,
There was a Pigeon and a Dove to guide the life through,
Together they ate, Together they flew,
The pigeon was ready to wait a life long,
But the Dove had a rough stance that you move on,
The Dove always wanted the Pigeon to be comfortable,
But always thrash think that she didn't deserve such awesome individual,
The matter was closely watched by a gardener,
He called them...
The Confused Birds.

What do you mean...
What I send out
Will be returned to me?
But I've only done
What my ancestors before me have shown!
You mean to tell me I will be paid back
For what to me was unknown?
Hey...
That may take thousands of years?
Oops!
I can't even hide from what others did?
Even though my intentions,
Were to ensure a great life I alone would live?

'Well...
I wish I could provide you with some oomph to that oops,
But it seems we've been running low on that flavor of late! '

With open arms,
you run to one another
but miss completely
and you both end up
hugging strangers
who wants no part of either of you.
Oops!
You’ve done it again.

Your running for a bus
and it waits for you,
you tell the driver
the stop you want
and he give you a strange look.
You an close your eyes as he replies
telling you he does not go there.
Oops!
You’ve done it again.

Your at an airport
Your mind is miles away
then you realise your flight
was boarding ten minutes ago.
You run down the corridor
but the flight has left without you.
Oops!
You‘ve done it again.

This old world keeps on spinning
but there are times for us all
when we just wish it would stop
and let us off,
but that only happens
when we oversleep.
Oops!
You’ve done it again.

1999

Don't worry, i won't hurt u
I only want u 2 have some fun
I was dreamin' when i wrote this
Forgive me if it goes astray
But when i woke up this mornin'
Coulda sworn it was judgment day
The sky was all purple,
There were people runnin' everywhere
Tryin' 2 run from the destruction,
U know i didn't even care
'cuz they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
So tonight i'm gonna party like it's 1999
I was dreamin' when i wrote this
So sue me if i go 2 fast
But life is just a party, and parties weren't meant 2 last
War is all around us, my mind says prepare 2 fight
So if i gotta die i'm gonna listen 2 my body tonight
Yeah, they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
So tonight i'm gonna party like it's 1999
Yeah
Lemme tell ya somethin'
If u didn't come 2 party,
Don't bother knockin' on my door
I got a lion in my pocket,
And baby he's ready 2 roar
Yeah, everybody's got a bomb,
We could all die any day
But before i'll let that happen,
I'll dance my life away
Oh, they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
We're runnin' outta time (tonight i'm gonna)
So tonight we gonna (party like it's 1999)
We gonna, oww
Say it 1 more time
Two thousand zero zero party over oops,
Out of time
No, no (tonight i'm gonna)
So tonight we gonna (party like it's 1999)
We gonna, oww
Alright, it's 1999
You say it, 1999
1999
1999 don't stop, don't stop, say it 1 more time
Two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
Yeah, yeah (tonight i'm gonna)
So tonight we gonna (party like it's 1999)
We gonna, oww
Yeah, 1999 (1999)
Don'tcha wanna go (1999)
Don'tcha wanna go (1999)
We could all die any day (1999)
I don't wanna die,
I'd rather dance my life away (1999)
Listen 2 what i'm tryin' 2 say
Everybody, everybody say party
C'mon now, u say party
That's right, everybody say (party)
Can't run from the revelation, no (party)
Sing it 4 your nation y'all (party)
Tell me what you're singin', baby say (party)
Telephone's a-ringin', mama (party)
C'mon, c'mon, u say (party)
Everybody, [two times] (party)
Work it down 2 the ground, say (party)
(party)
Come on, take my body, baby (party)
That's right, c'mon, sing the song (party)
(party)
That's right (party)
Got a lion in my pocket mama, say (party)
Oh--and he's ready 2 roar (party)
Mommy--why does everybody have a bomb?
Mommy--why does everybody have a bomb?

Oops!... I Did It Again

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I think I did it again
I made you believe were more than just friends
Oh baby
It might seem like a crush
But it doesnt mean that Im serious
cause to lose all my senses
That is just so typically me
Oh baby, baby
Chorus:
Oops!...i did it again
I played with your heart, got lost in the game
Oh baby, baby
Oops!...you think Im in love
That Im sent from above
Im not that innocent
You see my problem is this
Im dreaming away
Wishing that heroes, they truly exist
I cry, watching the days
Cant you see Im a fool in so many ways
But to lose all my senses
That is just so typically me
Baby, oh
Repeat chorus
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
All aboard
Britney, before you go, theres something I want you to have
Oh, its beautiful, but wait a minute, isnt this...?
Yeah, yes it is
But I thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end
Well baby, I went down and got it for you
Oh, you shouldnt have
Oops!...i did it again to your heart
Got lost in this game, oh baby
Oops!...you think that Im sent from above
Im not that innocent

Didn't You Know (You'd Have To Cry Sometime)

(Nickolas Ashford/Valerie Simpson)
Remember when you left?
You had your own rules about playing the game
And any day, you could walk away feeling no pain
Now look at yourself
You're all hung up on somebody else
And in your eyes I see all the signs of the misery
That you laid on me
Baby, baby
Didn't you know you'd have to cry sometime?
Didn't you know
Didn't you know you'd have to hurt sometime?
Didn't you know that you'd lose your pride?
Didn't anybody tell you love had another side?
You used to be so proud
Now, your head's a little lower
And you walk slower
And you don't talk so loud
You've gotten wise
You know how love can build you up one moment
And the next, cut you down to size
Then you discover
All she told you was a bunch of lies
Baby, baby
Didn't you know you'd have to cry sometime?
Didn't you know
Didn't you know you'd have to hurt sometime?
Didn't you know that you'd lose your pride?
Didn't anybody tell you love had another side?

Hit 'Em Up Style

While he was schemeing
I was beamin in the Beamer just beamin
Can't believe that I caught my man cheatin'
So I found another way to make him pay for it all

So I went
To Neiman-Marcus on a shopping spree
And on the way I grabbed Soley and Mia
And as the cash box rang I thought everything away

(Oops)
There goes the dreams we used to say
(oops)
There goes the time we spent away
(oops)
There goes the love I had but you cheated on me
And thats worth that now
(oops)
There goes the house we made a home
(oops)
There goes you'll never leave me alone
For all the lies you told
This is what you owe

Hey Ladies
When your man wanna get buckwild
Just go back and Hit 'Em Up Style
Put your hands on his cash
And spend it to the last dime
For all the hard times
Oh
When you go then everything goes
From the crib to the ride and the clothes
So you better let him know that
If he messed up you gotta hit em up

While he was braggin
I was coming down the hill and just draggin
All his pictures and his clothes in the bag and
Sold everything else till there was just nothin left

And I paid
All the bills about a month too late
It's a shame we have to play these games
The love we had just fades away

Clara

I saw you cryin' as i turned away
Did i see your face, like it wasn't there
And i know i was wrong...
Yeah, i knew it all along
But i didn't care about you
Clara, where are you today?
And did you make the same mistakes...
That i made, a million times before i met
You
Did you go, did you run, did you think of
Your son?
Did you know you're not the only one...
That tried to make a piece of coal into a
Diamond yeah!
So everything's fine now, at least you say
Maybe that's o.k. - but you know it's
Wrong
Was i right, did it last?
Were you dwelling on the past???
Or hanging on to a memory
So you say your time will never come
Maybe you should go ahead and jump...
Then you'll become exactly what you are
Hanging onto
Standing there on the bridge
With your feet on the ledge
Maybe i might push you over the edge...
And send you falling straight to the ground

Morning Night And Day

One time didn't do it
Two times didn't feel quite right
I didn't know where i was going
I just knew that i would be alright
I woke up in a druken haze
The sun shone to my window?
I said that i'd never do it again
What kind of fool do you think i am?
It happens
It always seems to happen
Morning night and day
I just want some action
Give me satisfaction
Send me to my?
Morning night and day
I had a good time late last night
I didn't think it would ever end
I walked home in a broad day light
Couldn't get a cab at half past five
One drink wouldn't do it
Two drinks are far too much
I didn't know what i was doing
I ate the floor and a pile of dust
It happens
It always seems to happen
Morning night and day
I just want some action
Give me satisfaction
Send me to my?
Morning night and day
So if you think that it won't get you
Well think again friend 'cause it's not true
In my case, it was not my fault
Other people made that call
One time didn't do it
Two times didn't feel quite right
It happens
It always seems to happen
No matter what i say
Morning night and day
I just want some action
Need some satisfaction
Before it gets too late
Send me to my?
Morning night and day

I Hurt Someone Last Night

I hurt someone last night
I didn't use a stick
I didn't use a club
I didn't use a knife
I'd never use a gun

I hurt someone last night
It wasn't intentional I swear
Doesn't make it any better
They were left bleeding
In the cold night air

I hurt someone last night
No one heard a sound
No police came
No ambulance called
No one knew at all

I hurt someone last night
She knew, she felt it
She knew, who had dealt it
She knew, how much it hurt
She knew, I hurt her

I hurt someone last night
I love her very much
There was no object weapon used
I used a word instead
The deadliest weapon of them all

I hurt someone last night
Perhaps I should put some words away
And the tone I used
To frighten her away
I think I should apologize now
Because I hurt someone last night
And I love her very much

Vultures

Say boys and girls dont you want to have fun
Why bother to walk when youd rather run
Why bother with books when youve got a gun
Come fly with me right into the sun
In another world, in another time
I can picture you and me together
If I close my eyes tight and think real hard
I can float lighter than a feather
If I try even harder who knows what I might find
Why maybe a pearl of wisdom
I would trade these pearls for a parcel of flesh
In flesh we were all invented
Is it time to play? said the ratboy to the ratgirl
Can we fly today, can we look here for some fresh kill
In concentric circles well carve up the sky
Looking for a big surprise
Fly like a vulture, fly like a vulture....
In another world, in another time
I can picture us a happy family
With our happy kids all flying all around
And leaving far behind the rat-race
Is it time to play? said the tortoise to the rabbit
Can we fly today, are we creatures all of habit
In concentric circles well carve up the sky
Waiting for a big surprise
Fly like a vulture, fly like a vulture...
Say boys and girls dont you want to have fun
Why bother to crawl when youd rather run
Why bother to walk when youd rather fly
Come join the party way up in the sky
Is it time to play? said the ratboy to the ratgirl
Can we fly today, can we look here for some fresh kill
In concentric circles well carve up the sky
Looking for a big surprise
Fly like a vulture, fly like a vulture...

One Of You

Breathe in the water
Drown in the sky
High, high above her
While I'm flowing through your eyes
Hold me in motion
Still in your sun
Under this ocean
There's a world melt into one
And i'm hanging on to everything i hold dear
And i'm letting go of fear
I'm hanging on to every single one of you
See all the darkness
Blind in the light
Deep in this forest
Tell me leave this in this night
And I'm hanging on,
To everything I hold dear
And I'm letting go of all this fear
I'm hanging on to every single one of you
Go somewhere better
Go to the sea
Walk through the desert
Till your love grows over me
And I'm hanging on
To everything I hold dear
And I'm letting go of all my fear
I'm hanging on to every single one of you
To every single one of you
To every single one of you
Every single one of you

It’s just an accident

It’s not natural disaster
It’s not global tragedy
It’s just an accident

It’s not a conspiracy theory

It’s just an accident

It’s not a careless mistake
It’s not a wrong decision
It’s just an accident

It’s not a misfortune
It’s not a twisted fate
