[Humble submission: This poem with humility consecrated to Sr. Poet Mom Almeda Knight on her 75th birth day 26th April by a wee daughter from India. From whom I received motherly care guidance and support all thro’ especially in my blue poetic days. I’m indeed a feeble poet to glorify poetically any Mom, so the fountainhead of emotion RNT I’d to bow before and owe from ~ niv]
O Dear
Universe captivating
Charming
Mother O Dear
Sun illuminated
Pure earth
Mother of entirety
We salute You.
O Your
Blue-ocean-aqua-sodden
Feet.
O Your
Breeze-quivered-green
Anchala.
O Your
Himalayan-high-head
Kissing the sky
Like
Hoar frosted crown.
Primordial primeval
Descend of dawn
First chanted psalms
Of Sama Veda
From Thine hermitage
We prostrate at You.
Jnana religions
So many verses and tales
First voiced from
Thine abode in woods
We revere You.
E’er gracious virtuous
You’re giver of staples
Everywhere to everybody
Flowing Janhavi Yamuna
Are Your aqueous
Grace galore
We owe from You.
Givers of
Sacred Nectarine
Humor Holy Milk
O Motherhood Troupe You’re
We worship You.

Glossary
[1] Anchala ~ An expanse of a part of or an end of a loin cloth [Sharee] worn by Indian women
[2] Sama Veda ~ [Sans] Sama = Melody. Veda = Knowledge.
Sama-Veda is better known for the precise meter of its poetry…. There are also painstaking instructions in Sama-Veda about how particular hymns must be sung; this is perhaps because great emphasis was put upon sounds of the words of the mantras and the effect they could have on the environment and the person who pronounced them.
[3] Jnana ~ Wisdom

Tagumpay Nating Lahat
(gary granada)
Akoy anak ng lupang hinirang
Kung saan matatagpuan
Ang timyas ng perlas ng silangan
Nagniningning sa buong kapuluan
Taglay ko ang hiwaga ng silangan
At saan mang bayan o lungsod
Maging timog, hilaga at kanluran
Ang pilipino ay namumukod
Refrain:
Sama-sama nating abutin
Pinakamatayog na bituin
At ang aking tagumpay
Tagumpay ng aking lahi
Tagumpay ng aking lipi
Ang tanging minimithi at hinahangad
Hangad koy tagumpay nating lahat
Ako ay may isang munting pangarap
Sa aking dakilang lupain
At sa sama-sama nating pagsisikap
Sama-sama ring mararating
Ang ibat ibang galaw, iisang patutunguhan
Dito isang araw, isang kapuluan
Sama-sama nating abutin
Pinakamatayog na bituin
At ang aking tagumpay
Tagumpay ng aking lahi
Tagumpay ng aking lipi
Ang tanging minimithi at hinahangad
Hangad koy tagumpay nating lahat
Hangad koy tagumpay nating lahat

GAME OF SONGS
Ms. Nivedita
UK
[To Poet John Knight ~ Christmas poetic nosegays]
December 15,2009.
Standing you’re
On the opposite bank
Of my song,
Ambulant my tunes become
Me, don’t get you.
Breeze is blowing
Oh, oh excellently
Keep anchored the boat
No more.
Cross and come, O Dear
Into the abode of my bosom.
Game of songs with you
Game of distance is,
Me in agony play flute
All the time,
When, O Dear yourself will come
Take my flute to play,
In the dense darkness of
Rapture-full silent night.

01 April,2010
When
I was in slumber
Was called upon
Afore timely nothing for.
Entire universe was
Still speechless
In the beams of stars
Dense darkness
Earth was shrouded with.
Family lamented
How in dark
Will recognize the path?
I voiced: Will walk with own light
Look the candle is here in my hand.
More the candle emitting
Light in full glow
Equally more and more
Obstacles fuddled.
The blended umbra
Spreads chiaroscuro
Partial vision blurs me.
Quicker I walk fearlessly
By the cloud dust
More and more
The sky gets embraced.
The flame quivers
By fidget wind
My gaits get confounded
In every step.
Suddenly
The head collided
With the mesh of woods
Candle went off suddenly
Have lost the path already
I discover.
In front
Dense darkness
Yell with stooped head
I’ve lost all powers.
In the very moment
Suddenly find
Pal of my entire life
Mon Escorte
Behind already!

The Doors And Windows
the windows would have been more beautiful
wider than the sea
and the doors
are as tight as the cracks
of the cliff so that
the thoughts may fly
and the secrets may find it
hard to escape
from themselves
mas nindot unta kon ang mga bintana
sama kalapad sa dagat
ug ang mga pultahan
sama kakipot sa mga liki
sa pangpang aron dali
ang paglupad sa hunahuna
ug lisod ang tinagoan sa pagpahawa

Saive Siddanta
Pathi, Pasu, Pasam.
God, Soul, World.
Each is a separate entity.
Each is eternal.
No beginning; no end.
God is Lord Siva.
Siva is Sat-Chit-Anand.
He is Sat: the Supreme.
He is Chit: the Intelligence.
He is Anand: the Bliss.
The basis for blessedness
of the Soul.
Siva is transcendent:
Existing apart.
Siva is immanent:
All pervading the universe.
Soul- locked in the Body,
Bonded in World,
To be liberated to God.
World- the matter.
Anavamala- the ego.
Karmamala-the duty bound.
Mayamala- the sensual interpretation
of World.
Soul is bound by World
by the cord of attachment.
Sever the cord
to reach God.
Is Saiva Sect
an off shoot of Veda
or one grafted to Veda?

Mothers
Who gave such tenderness
And gentle genteelness
Ma, a cub new born seeks
Also a babe human enounces
Ma or mamma, in her sweetness
The first shelter, child cuddles
So much mercy in her loving-kindness
There, the human Mother proclaims
'Mother Goddess causer of genesis
Tender and kind in my motherliness'..
Much so, the divine Mother, child accolades
Much comprehending Her fruitfulness
Much grown to realise, recognize
Mother Earth, Mother Country all prominence
So the Mother to the child all goodness
Richness to mean motherly mercifulness
Mercifulness is also Mother Cow's beneficence
Wonderful my Bharat discerns motherly benevolence
Benevolence is truth of Vedic cognizance
As Mother Veda to acclaim is heart's pleasance
Wealth or knowledge..verdancy is motherliness
Land, animal or human, nature's true prolific Mothers

Vedic Conversion
The Veda is sacred; its hymens are sacred.
The Veda is holy; its hymns are holy.
We were told to toe; we were led to toe.
The nomadic tribe has brought it with them.
Buddhism was banished; Jainism vanished.
Natives were driven; Dravidians subverted.
It is the Aryans who conquered the continent.
It is the Aryans who remodelled its culture.
Success in war, stealing of cattle,
Love making, illogical rituals,
No moral codes, no benevolent deeds-
These are all the Vada speaks out
Manu codified Varnasrama Dharma.
Manu glorified kings and their style.
Manu crucified women’s interests.
Manu stupefied Sudhras and Dalits.
The Ramayana, an epic, lofted Rama
To a God Incarnation, who killed
Ravana, a Shiva devoee, thus holding
The supremacy of Aryans and Rama.
The Mahabharata tells godliness of Krishna,
Whose crafts in strategy of war
Belies his Geetha’s teachings of doing
Duties with detachment for the end.
Aryan revivalism rears its head.
They are out to eradicate gods
Other than their Rama and Krishna.
They want to make flourish
The Brahmin’s superiority and nobility
Over all indigenous Gods and culture.

Niining akong sulat
Gipatik ko ang akong
Mga damgo
Tutuki ang akong
Mga pulong
Dili labyog sa dahon
Ang ilang mga lihok
Dili na nila kaila ang hangin
Gituok kini
Sa mga pangandoy nga
Wala matuman
Uga ang akong mga ngabil
Naligti ang akong mga ngipon
Mitikig ang akong apapangig
Pil-on ko kining
Akong mga pulong
Katulo kaupat
Kapulo sama sa
Pagpilo-pilo niining
Akong puti nga papel
Isulod ko kini sa sobre
Sirad-an sa akong
Laway ug dili na ako
Mamulong pa
Pil-on ko kini
Sama sa usa ka
Eroplanong papel
Ipalupad ko kini
Sama sa usa ka tabanog
Mawagtang kini ug ang
Tanan maanod sa halapad ug kusog
nga bug-os sa hangin
Ako na lamang ang magpabilin
Kay ikaw wala na sa akong kiliran
Alimahan ko ang mga tanom
Sa akong kasakit ug kamingaw

RADHAKRUSHNA Vavroovahna Patra
Vernal Breeze kisses Radhakrushna's temple daily;
Valentine's Day brings love in guys, girls gladly.
Various fragrant blossoms, flowers allure gaily;
Virgins entice boys on the temple shrine peacefully.
Very beautiful looks Kalia's temple on Earth;
Visitors, devotees, poets enjoy the beauty with mirth.
Vivid heavenly beauty of the temple attracts poets naturally;
Virtuous women, men pray Radhakrushna devotionally.
Veda's hymns reverberate on the shrine;
Vhagavana adorns the shrine with sun shine.
Vibration of devotional songs enchants the devotees;
Verses of poets provide peace, delight.
Veda's hymn vibrates in the environment;
Vibration of devotional songs brings merriment.
Vhagavana entices poets to the shrine cordially.
Various flowers fragrance enchants devotees mind gaily.
Valuable time passes singing Kalia's songs devotionally.
Vagabond boys become devotees on the shrine automatically.
Value of life dazzles in society beholding Kalia daily.
Vices of women, men evaporate singing his songs devotionally.
Valley of peace vibrates with Radhakrushna's songs miraculously;
Visiting spiritual shirne devotees derive peace gaily.
Valley's gods and goddesses attract devotees daily;
Valiant poets, devotees pray Kalia in vernal morn delightfully.

Kawras sa iring ang
Kaniadto
Buot hilison ang bukog
Sa isda
Sa akong tutunlan
Sa usa lamang ka mahiko
Dili ako motoo
Ang akong karon
Sama sa dagan sa sakayan
Sa suba sa loboc
Adto ako sa iyang
Kinatumyan
Ang awit sa mga tubig
Daw sama sa hagikhik
Sa mga bata
Midayan dayan sa
Himsog nga mga aping

my past and present
the cat’s scratch
is the past
wanting to melt the
fishbone
in my throat
in one magic
I disagree
My present
Is like the sailing boat
In Loboc river
I am going to its
End
The song of the waters
Like the laughter
Of the children
Flowing through
Healthy cheeks

Mother India
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You are the paradise on earth
Where things are not in any dearth.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
In Your Lap live men and women
Of every caste and religion.
You rain your love and affection
On them all without distinction.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You have got a peculiar trait
Due to which you are very great.
You adopt the foreigners too,
Who like to live and die for you.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You are beautiful, all perfect;
You are rich in every aspect.
In the ancient times, we have heard,
Aliens called you ‘a golden bird’
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
The mountains guard your honour here;
The ocean washes your feet there.
The rivers contain sweet water
Which for us is just like nectar.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
Our culture is ancient and high,
We are respected that is why.
Culture has bound us by and by,
With a chain of pure love and tie.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
We are sorry here live some men
Who are not loyal, but still then,
Pose as lovers of this nation,
Whom we do not like to mention.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
We are sorry here live some men;
Fire of hatred they ever fan.
Freedom, we fear, may not be lost,
Which we have got at a great cost.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
Let us be wise not to be tool
Of selfish powers which befool
Those who do not well understand
Their aim which is behind their stand.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
We will be lucky, if we die
For you, O Gracious Country High!
We’ll give them a fitting reply,
Who see you with a slanting eye.
O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

24 December,2009.
Orphans, distressed
Heard Thine name
Return with
Have nothing
Let O You not.
.
In despair
Weep those
Wipe eyes
Let O You.
Whose bosom is
In trepidation
Assure them let
O You.
Needy, fortuneless
Destitute in hundreds
There are,
Bosoms worn out
By woes
Weeping ceaselessly
Doomed by sins
Alas
Go to whom
Where the path is?
Appear before
Their vision
O You.

Cuckoo’s Melody Vavroovahana Patra
Cuckoo’s sweet melody echoes in profound solitude, reverberates in silent atmosphere;
The sweet tune vibrates in the environment, contents poet’s desire.
Fragrance of mango-blossoms pervades through the vernal breeze;
Poet enchants in the lap of Nature being crazy.
Divinity reigns through the melody on Earth;
Earthy creatures rejoice with mirth.
Poet surrenders on the feet of mother Vinapanee, the Deity;
Depicts beauteous verses with gaiety.
Through the vernal breeze goddess mother Basantee blessth all innocent honest creatures;
Penetrating rays of wisdom contents their desires.
Cuckoo’s marvelous melody brings inspiration;
Beauteous is goddess mother’s creation.
