Eustace Tilley In Heaven I
Insincere, they said,
Your heart is forever vanishing, going out of sight
returning each night to its violable branch,
its enchanted wood. Like a firefly it beckons. Ha!
I set my course. It disappears. Appears again
somewhere in the well, in a new direction,
then again, no longer the fire. Quark
dark and cold the altarstone, re-reminding me that I, too,
have lingered long on twilight benches in city parks
as the moon linked itself to the night,
tapping my spats lightly on stone to indicate-what?
Interest? Impatience? Let's have a drink, go to bed,
and then, perhaps, a good dinner.
In time I did die and went to heaven-surprise!
even a caricature must, you know, go in ruffs,
in discreet whiffs, up the nostrils of the gods.
There, toeing the mark, was Nature's advocate.
Here it is harder to be critical.
The butterflies are of a golden hue. Remember butterflies?
Here we reflect long days on past glissando
while the stars come on
and the fire-flower sinks in every human hearth.

Butterflies For Breakfast? (Life Poem)
Butterflies before you sit the final exam,
Butterflies before you go for a job interview,
Butterflies before you ask her out on a date,
Butterflies before you kiss her for the first time,
Butterflies before you propose two will be one,
Butterflies before you meet her family,
Butterflies before you see her all in white,
Butterflies before you make that big speech,
Butterflies before you see that your baby is OK,
Butterflies before you get news from the doctor,
Butterflies before you lose your job again,
Butterflies before you face any little crisis,
But -
No butterflies for breakfast.

Night Sky
Stars aglow in the night sky
Pass so quietly by,
Is it us or them
Who return again?
We to see
And they to stay,
Or possibly tis
The other way.
And who
Really sees who,
In the night so dark
Filled with the deepest blue?
If the moon
Never again shines,
Could it be a sign
Of the end-times?
Or just a loss of sight
On my part?
The result of losing (with cynicism)
The natural vision of wonder, in the human heart.
For to see magic
In the moon and stars,
Is to truly look
Deep and far...
Not simply in a night sky,
Rather into the soul,
Where all good things
Freely come and go.
Even if the stars no longer shown
In my little night sky for to see,
Ever, I'd keep returning
Looking; I for they... and they for me.

Your Love Lingers On
Long after your touch has faded from my body
And the scent of your sweet perfume has gone
Long after your kiss is faded from my lips
Your love lingers on.
Chorus:
It's still in the air, it's everywhere.
It never disappears, it surrounds me like a melody
Reminding me you were here.
Long after the glow has faded from the moonlight
And the stars have given way to greet the dawn
Long after the night has faded to sunlight
You love lingers on.
Chorus:
It's still in the air, it's everywhere.
It never disappears, it surrounds me like a melody
Reminding me you were here.
Long after your whisper has faded from my ears
And the curtains are no longer drawn
Long after the passion fades into memories
Your love lingers on.
Chorus:
It's still in the air, it's everywhere.
It never disappears, it surrounds me like a melody
Reminding me you were here.
Your love lingers on.
Your love lingers on.

The Mill
The miller's wife had waited long,
The tea was cold, the fire was dead;
And there might yet be nothing wrong
In how he went and what he said:
"There are no millers any more,"
Was all that she heard him say;
And he had lingered at the door
So long it seemed like yesterday.
Sick with a fear that had no form
She knew that she was there at last;
And in the mill there was a warm
And mealy fragrance of the past.
What else there was would only seem
To say again what he had meant;
And what was hanging from a beam
Would not have heeded where she went.
And if she thought it followed her,
She may have reasoned in the dark
That one way of the few there were
Would hide her and would leave no mark:
Black water, smooth above the weir
Like starry velvet in the night,
Though ruffled once, would soon appear
The same as ever to the sight.

What lies on the other side of a dark moon
My darling says
look how bright is the moon
and the gold
appears on the other side,
of the window pane
where it hangs in a round ball
in the dark night.
It’s as if the stars
tonight are fading away
and every thing in the heaven,
disappears before the bright moon.
We lie on a three quarters bed
and I wonder how many kisses
are still destined for me
and her soft body,
are touching mine
while my hand
glide over her soft round curves.
Her breath tickles my neck
while the night folds around us
and when she disappears into sleep
I am still busy
watching the magical moon
and I wonder what lies on the other side
of a dark moon
and if the sky,
will then have more stars in it,
but the star
that shines the brightest to me
is still in my arms
when the moon disappears
in the early morning.

Sonnet IV: Not in this chamber
Not in this chamber only at my birth--
When the long hours of that mysterious night
Were over, and the morning was in sight--
I cried, but in strange places, steppe and firth
I have not seen, through alien grief and mirth;
And never shall one room contain me quite
Who in so many rooms first saw the light,
Child of all mothers, native of the earth.
So is no warmth for me at any fire
To-day, when the world's fire has burned so low;
I kneel, spending my breath in vain desire,
At that cold hearth which one time roared so strong,
And straighten back in weariness, and long
To gather up my little gods and go.

Cat People
See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Colder than the moon
Feel my blood enraged
It's just the fear of losing you
Don't you know my name
Well, you been so long
And i've been putting out fire
With gasoline
See these eyes so red
Red like jungle burning bright
Those who feel me near
Pull the blinds and change their minds
It's been so long
Still this pulsing night
A plague i call a heartbeat
Just be still with me
But it wouldn't believe what i've been thru
You've been so long
Well it's been so long
And i've been putting out the fire with gasoline
Putting out the fire
With gasoline
See these tears so blue
An ageless heart that can never mend
Tears can never dry
A judgement made can never bend
See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Just be still with me
You wouldn't believe what i've been thru
Well you've been so long
It's been so long
And i've been putting out fire with gasoline
Putting out fire with gasoline
Putting out fire
We've been putting out fire
Well it's been so long so long so long
Yes it's been so long so long so long
I've been putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
And putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Yeah yeah putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Been putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Yeah putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
It's been so long
Been so long so long so long
It's been so long
Been so long so long so long
It's been so long
Been so long so long so long
I've been putting out fire
Been so long so long so long

Heart And Mind
SAID the Lion to the Lioness-'When you are amber dust,-
No more a raging fire like the heat of the Sun
(No liking but all lust)-
Remember still the flowering of the amber blood and bone,
The rippling of bright muscles like a sea,
Remember the rose-prickles of bright paws
Though the fire of that sun the heart and the moon-cold bone are one.'
Said the Skeleton lying upon the sands of Time-
'The great gold planet that is the mourning heat of the Sun
Is greater than all gold, more powerful
Than the tawny body of a Lion that fire consumes
Like all that grows or leaps...so is the heart
More powerful than all dust. Once I was Hercules
Or Samson, strong as the pillars of the seas:
But the flames of the heart consumed me, and the mind
Is but a foolish wind.'
Said the Sun to the Moon-'When you are but a lonely white crone,
And I, a dead King in my golden armour somewhere in a dark wood,
Remember only this of our hopeless love
That never till Time is done
Will the fire of the heart and the fire of the mind be one.'

Desires and Disillusions
heaven, grant me my wish
i want a sky, so clear and bright
with stars like pearls in the oceans of galaxies
and a crescent moon that will smile at me
heaven, please make it real
i want that starry night to suddenly turn so dark
and from nowhere i would see a spark
a star will fall and will glitter at my sight
heaven, that star will fulfill my childish wish
and i will wish that she'll be with me tonight
together we will watch the rain of fire
with shooting stars in that starless romantic sky
heaven, grant me my wish
i want a star to send her my message
i want a star so that she won't forget
she will remember forever that flash of my love
heaven, that is my wish
a shooting star for my miss..

Starry Night
When the night falls in your small room
Nothing seen but the dark and the air becomes chill
Everybody has turned asleep
Leaving the blue mountain bored and lonely
Look at your window, the moon calls
There is stars bloom in the dark sky
Giving a hazy sight of the imaginary city
The tall tree is now awaking
When the cold rigid line blurred into waving hands ready to dance
And city lights accompany you to sing a long the midnight
Even the scary darkness drunken in the party
Marching the clouds around the stars and moon

Another Lonely Night In Ny
Baby , oh no , Ive been stuck here
Ive been searchin so long
Baby dont go , millions of people were wrong
In the dark of the cold light of day ,
I will still be here
If my heart and my soul had their way ,
You would still be here
Another lonely night in new york
The city of dreams just keeps on getting me down
cause my babys no longer around
And my feeling can never be found
Another lonely night in new york
And my sorry eyes are lookin out on the world
Baby , you said , a guy like me was way out of line
And knowing today , your leavin was a question of time
In the mist of a sweet summer rain ,you will find me here
Should the sparkle of stars lose their way ,
Ill be holdin near
Another lonely night in new york
The city of dreams just keeps on getting me down
cause my babys no longer around
And my feelings can never be found
Another lonely night in new york
And my sorry eyes are lookin out on the world
(break)
In the dark of the cold light of day ,
You will find me here
If my heart and my soul had their way ,
You would still be here
Another lonely night in new york
And Im just a soul in the heart of the city
Just another lonely night in new york
The city of dreams just keeps on getting me down
Just another lonely night in new york ( fade )

I Didn’t Choose This Unnatural Way
Since I’ve been here I can’t stand the light it burns,
so I have to live at night, but it brings good returns.
My nourishment is free and people give it to me
they don’t always like to, but what will be will be.
I’ve found that the warm red liquid is all I can digest,
but two pints is usually enough if it’s from the best.
Young blood or old will get me through the night,
and one has to eat when the time is right.
I walk through the parks and streets in the shadows
just looking for unsuspecting ladies or fellows.
Sleeping people on benches are such easy prey,
but so are the lost and lonely who come my way.
In the cold of winter when people don’t go out so much
I survive on animals like pet rabbits, cats, and such.
But I really do miss the things of beauty that I used to see
like the birds and flowers the butterflies and bee.
I didn’t chose this unnatural way of drinking human blood
the creature who opened my coffin said death was good.
If only I could somehow escape this world of the living dead,
I would be so much happier on a mortal’s deathbed.

Butterflies and Blue Skies
May your days of freedom
be filled with rainbows
butterflies and blue skies
and when all is sad and gray
remember heaven is only a step away
smile to the sun
a new morning has begun
And when nothing seems right
remember days of bright
with love in your sight
and hold on to it tight
cause everything will be alright
sometimes that just how it goes
that everybody knows
And when the time has come
change the things undone
don't let it be the one
to keep you lonesome

Shades Of Gray And Blue
Shades Of Gray And Blue
Written by: Wilfred Mellers, Friday, April 15,2011, @ 8: 35 PM
I was glancing at the beauty once in your eyes
The night mystically filled with butterflies
Days remembered comes as flashbacks
It was not a random encounter at the Tracks
A full Moon broke the stillness in the dark
A chilly night sitting by your side in the park
Hours flew as we chitchat
Can you remember any of that?
You I was trying to entertain
That night I kept on saying ascertain
Our laughter held back the rain
Our joyfulness we could no longer contain
There was so much magic in the air
Moonbeams’ were shining in your hair
Moments enchanted we did share
I had put my heart in your tender care
I recall saying some pretty silly things
What joy those memories still brings
Staying out till it was really late
This I recollect was our first date
You and that blue station wagon
No one would expect what next would happen
Changing a flat by the side of the road
My heart at that moment you had just lassoed
Seasons changing came and went
I could not have received a greater present
Maybe it was just the ambience of the starlight’s
Maybe it was because of the afternoon delights
Stormy skies were in the forecast
Maybe I love too hard and too fast
Love like that could never last
Now I leave it all in the past
A love eternal and forever true
Those were the things I once offered you
I had not much for I was a mere pauper
But I promised you I would always look after
A cold wind that sweltering July blew
Shadows of gray had turned to a dusty blue
Treachery capsized my canoe
For the past we can never undo
Remember how I use to call you Alice?
No longer I bear you any malice
As locks graying now turns to balding
I can now hear my true destiny calling

Butterflies are free
I believe in butterflies
Butterflies are free
Gentle wings
So feathery to touch
So many colours
Able to migrate
To other lands
The gentle butterfly
I believe again
Love, Faith, Truth
Believe no matter what,
you have the power to prevail
Strength, Courage, Honour
Believe the world does have a good heart
Everyone is unique,
in song, dance, culture
Believe in positive thoughts
Time,
The forever, and You
Most of all Butterflies are free, and so are we
Don't be mad, depressed, or suicidal
Believe in a smile, a smile can save a life
Remember Butterflies are free, and so are we
Believe in The magic of the butterfly.

White Butterflies
Their beauty sad to say will not last long a few days to live that is all
The white butterflies in the garden on this warm day in the Fall
So little time in their bloom of beauty to mate and lay their eggs and to fly
Around the wildflowers and the flowering bushes when the sun shines bright in the sky
Of death they would not have a sense of but a few days in time to them must seem long
Their is so much to learn of Nature though Nature keeps proving us wrong
So innocent in their great beauty they are as natural as bird song
And so soon to return to Nature for to Nature they surely belong,
In the sky they seem to be dancing perhaps in a courtship display
Of butterfly life i am ignorant and my assumptions a guess anyway
As butterflies their's is a brief existence their life span is forty eight hours
They will be outlived by most insects and they will be outlived by the flowers
In a few days they will be with Nature as Nature takes back
what she does create
In the sunshine they flit through the garden seemingly quite unaware of their fate.

Sunrise Sunset
Sunrise sunset in the mood of the way
In the colors of flame and darkish hour
Every shine time of night and the day
Like golden horizon of a new flower
Together to fill up the dream flight time
Of call from alone in the distant past
Where flow of the glimmering is in prime
When moon and the stars show off in their cast
With love so tender in splendor and spark
Of night in the twilight after sunset
Its glistening glowing to deepness dark
With colors of heaven in glow alphabet
Till sunrise in the morning comes new
To dawn of the rising on to a day true

I Remember - Loss Through The Eyes Of A Child
I remember
The times when we
Watched the sunset
I could see the reflection
In your eyes
I remember
Sitting on the brick wall
Along St. Angela’s Street
The time when you almost fell off
And cracked your head open
I remember
Chasing butterflies
At Wolf Brook
No matter how hard we tried
We couldn’t catch up with them
I remember
Lunch times at school
The dinner lady looking at you
With surprised eyes
Because you wanted extra veg
I remember
When you told me the news
Leukaemia
That one word
Keeps sounding in my head
I remember
Seeing you there
Hair falling out from the chemo
Frail and weak
Not being able to stand
I remember
Trying my hardest
Not to break down and cry
At the sight of seeing my best friend
Hurting and in so much pain
I remember
Walking down long corridors
Visiting your hospital bed
Wanting to stay with you
Forever and never leaving your side
I remember
That phone call
All the tears I shed that day
And all the tears I’ve shed since
You passed away
I will always remember
Watching the sunset
St. Angela’s Street
Chasing butterflies
Lunch times
Leukaemia
Holding back the tears
Long corridors
Phone calls
Losing my best friend
But most of all
I will always remember you.
Autumn Night
leaves change color
the cool breeze flies
the song of the leaves roars
rustles and bustles in the brush
birds begin to sing to the south
sky turns red as the sun sets on an Autumn evening
clouds not white but pink
coco and cookies all around
coats and children surround
the fire of life
roads and streets quiet
what a sound, what a sight
what a wonderful Autumn night
marsh mellows in fire places
smoke of warmth fills the night sky
sweet Autumn night
make the stars shine bright
the sun rises
the moon disappears
stars that once shone
are now gone
what a night
what a sight
please Autumn day
bring one more
