The Sailor and the Market Man
'I ask you to see reason'
Says the sailor who is stern;
'You know full well that from the sea
A living I must earn;
I'll bother you to shake on it,
I haven't got all day;
Come on now make your mind up,
It ain't a lot to pay! '
'My friend, your price is far too high'
The market-man declares,
'Go find another buyer now
Who'll rid you of your wares.
I know the fish you bring to sell
Are fat and fresh and sound,
But I must make a living too
By watching every pound.'
The sailor and the market-man
They argue every day,
As if there's no tomorrow,
And each must have his say.
The sailor and the market-man
At odds they'll always be,
Until they've taken all
The little fishes from the sea.

A Miserable venture
A vendor next comes to another buyer,
After his failure with many buyers.
A buyer grants access to a vender,
After her refusal to many vendors.
Yet the vender with hopes meets the buyer
And again fails to click with her a deal.

Bologna
[parody of my sharona by the knack]
Goin to the market now, market now.
Im the citys biggest bologna buyer.
Walkin down the shopping aisle, shopping aisle,
Filling up my basket with oscar meyer.
Never gonna stop, eat it up,
Such a tasty snack.
I always eat too much, and throw up,
But Ill soon be back
For my-my-my-y-y woo!
M-m-m-m-m-m-m-my-my-my-y-y woo!

Wait for bait
Each girl takes every care
To lure anyone on the earth
And yet is unapproachable
Why?
She is a buyer in the market,
Going around with her wallet
To choose the best of the products
To suit more than her wallet.
Wait!

Loan man and woman
A lone woman among men
And a lone man among women
Are the centres of attractions,
She akin to a buyer
And he, to a seller and
Yet a buyer is dearer
As she will not buy from
As many as are offered to sell..

A horse and an ass
A buyer had a seller in a deal.
Each did it as that was the best.
To the buyer it was like a horse
And to the seller it was like an ass.

Compromise lacks
The vendor expectation was more.
The buyer’s offer did not match.
The deal broke.
The buyer is lured by another.
The vendor waited for another.
The process repeated.
Marriage is easy to break.
Divorce is easy to obtain.
Compromise lacks

He who wants to sell his honor will always find a buyer.
Beauty, Beautious, Beautiful
Beauty is not a superficial form
Each has their own in essential nature
And in the actions they perform
Until the dissolution of their life
To leave beauty’s impressions in our hearts
Yesterdays beauty never leaves or departs.
Beauty is all around
Each and every place it may be found
As you look with open eyes
Upon the forms that nature makes
Then man seeks to imitate
Yearning to match that beauty all around.
Beauty if you cannot find
Beauty must be in mind
Beauty is in purity
Beauty of simplicity
Beauty runs right through and through
Beauty in me, and them, and you.
Beauty, beauteous, beautiful
Beauty in heaven
Beauty in fire
Beauty in earth
And finally beauty in a simple verse.

Heaven West
buyer Lil rode west, found heaven
and gave agent Kevin his asking price
buyer Lil rode east, found a hellish mess
and gave agent Kevin a piece of her mind
agent Kevin said 'Lil, whats heaven and whats hell
depends on your point of view'
'build windows west and fences east
and heaven is what you'll find'

Beauty, Beauty
Beauty, beauty in the light. Beauty, Beauty falling through. How sweet must beauty, beauty be. Beauty, beauty how it's happy. Beauty, beauty in the sky and in the grass. Beauty, beauty in the trees. Beauty, beauty on the ground. Beauty, beauty crawling on the ground. Beauty, beauty always climbing. Beauty, beauty that we are sirrounded by.

Generally speaking, we get the joke. We know that the free market is nonsense. We know that the whole point is to game the system, to beat the market or at least find someone who will pay you a lot of money, 'cause they're convinced that there is a free lunch.
I think the market is always going to be around. The goal is not to say, let's get rid of the market, because the market does render a huge number of services, and I don't want to have a fight about the price of something every time I buy a book or a bottle of water.

Investment Apology
Investment Apology
In this air I do aspire
to appeal and make aware, -
Allah answer all anger -
else ague appear and attract ire
Bait can but bate the buyer!
Brokers must the market bear,
bidding board while bulls be bear,
blare is bare and boars betire.
Why cry the creator’s choir?
Calm your coma, clear your care!
Come, seek and call the cover.
Can still the chartists’ charts inquire!
Dost dearly dollar desire?
Dabbler dare, don’t disappear, -
dealer’s drear or in despair,
His strait’s dire, his coffer drier.
Fear a further fall to fire?
That your future fare be fair
find a fella full of flair,
full of feel for a fine flier.
Th’institutional investor,
out of gear, he tears his hair.
Interest rates round here I hear
High, hint heavily hunt higher.
The alphabet is far too long
to continue this careless song,
so here’s to hope, and let us pray
tomorrow brings a brighter day.

My Bologna
Ooh, my little hungry one, hungry one
Open up a package of my bologna
Ooh, I think the toast is done, the toast is done
Top it with a little of my bologna
Never gonna stop, eat it up
Such a tasty snack I always eat too much, then throw up
But Ill soon be back for my, my, my, yi, yi, woo
M-m-m-my bologna
Spreadin on the mustard now, show me how
Spread it on a litle of this bologna
Hopin that we dont run out, dont run out
If we do Im sure that Ill miss bologna
Never gonna stop, eat it up
Such a tasty snack I always eat too much, then throw up
But Ill soon be back for my, my, my, yi, yi, woo

Buyer's Remorse
Buyer beware.
What you see,
Isn't what you always get.
That has been known.
But not always shown to reflect.
Now...
If we can only get you to listen,
And compare that to the rotten apples
You've been sold decade after decade...
There 'might' be some progress,
Instead of buyer's remorse...
You've been too comfortable to accept.
To later express regret!
With medical prescriptions,
Sought that are the best.
How does one get rid of an addiction,
To receiving disappointment...
That does not cure these afflictions?
How does that happen?
A change in routine...
That creates a different more meaningful scene.
That hasn't been figured out yet!
Since being duped,
Is what most look forward to get!
But an awakening 'has' to come.
That's the only thing that hasn't been done,
By some!

The Beauty Of A Poem
The beauty of a poem
The beauty of music
The beauty of light
The beauty of life
The beauty which makes us want to live life more
The beauty which pains us inside
The beauty in longing.
The beauty we come upon by surprise
The beauty of the day and the beauty of the night
The beauty we all have inside us
The beauty we can see and feel and never explain
The beauty that lifts us up
The beauty that makes us want to live more
The beauty that makes us reach out to God
The beauty we want to thank God for
The beauty of lilacs
The beauty of autumn leaves
The beauty of the people we love
The beauty that pervades life
The beauty that turns away from us
And will not let us be a part of it
The beauty we hold on to fragilely
As a driven leaf
The beauty the beauty the beauty
Oh life oh God of goodness oh death
The beauty we can never see
And the Beauty within us all
Oh God
The Beauty in us and Beyond us all.

The Maori Pig Market
In distant New Zealand, whose tresses of gold
The billows are ceaselessly combing,
Away in a village all tranquil and old
I came on a market where porkers were sold --
A market for pigs in the gloaming.
And Maoris in plenty in picturesque rig
The lands of their forefathers roaming,
Were weighing their swine, whether little or big,
For purchasers paid by the weight of the pig --
The weight of the pig in the gloaming.
And one mighty chieftain, I grieve to relate,
The while that his porker was foaming
And squealing like fifty -- that Maori sedate,
He leant on the pig just to add to its weight --
He leant on the pig in the gloaming.
Alas! for the buyer, an Irishman stout --
O'Grady, I think, his cognomen --
Perceived all his doings, and, giving a shout,
With the butt of his whip laid him carefully out
By the side of his pig in the gloaming.
A terrible scrimmage did straightway begin,
And I thought it was time to be homing,
For Maoris and Irish were fighting like sin
'Midst war-cries of "Pakeha!" "Batherashin!"
As I fled from the spot in the gloaming

He who wants to sell his honor will always find a buyer. The garlic complained to the onion, ""You stink!"" If you count your friend's mistakes, he will desert you. Many wars have been caused by a single word.
